There is no words for this update. I am ashamed for waiting sooooooooo long to, but I've never had a writer's block like this in my life. I'm blocked on every story so I'm trying to write a little bit on each one everyday. Also, if this is a bit rushed, I'm sorry. I tried.
Chapter 29: Tragic Love Triangle
Kagome lay idly in her room on the bed contemplating about this wedding. It seemed to happened so fast for her that she couldn't protest now....could she? Then there was InuYasha who seemed to be on the sad side since he got back from where ever he was. Kagome tried not to pay much attention to it or much attention to him period. Then the door opened and she turned around and looked to see that it was Rin with a white box in her hands.
"I got something for you, sweetheart. I thought you would like it." She said placing the box on the bed.
"What is it?" Kagome said looking at it.
Rin opened the box to reveal a beautiful satin white wedding gown. Kagome marveled at it before she slowly picked it up from the box. "It's beautiful." she awed.
Rin giggled. "Yeah, it was like a dream when I marrried Sesshy."
'I doubt it' Kagome thought.
"I know the way Sesshy is that you may not think that. He's good man and an even better husband and when we have kids he'll be a great father. All because we love each other so much that nothing else really matters. "
Kagome stopped and contemplated. 'She's right.'
"I want you to have this dress."
Kagome shook her head out her thoughts. "Oh, I already have one."
"I know, but I want you have this. Consider it as something old. " She smiled before getting up and dusting off her dress. "Oh, and get ready for dinner in a bit." The petite woman said before walking out.
Kagome groaned and sighed to herself. She wanted to beat herself up for what she was doing to Hojo and his family. Things were starting to get crazy and out of hand.
She looked to the balcony and walked over to it and leaned against the rails. 'I don't deserve to be here.' Kagome thought before she looked over the beautiful scenery of villa. Then her eyes drifted down to see InuYasha sitting on the bench with a melancholy look on his face. She hated to see him because it only made her stomach turn. Kagome wanted to admit she loved InuYasha and not Hojo, but didn't have the guts to. She wanted to admit she rather marry InuYasha and not Hojo, but again she didn't have the courage.
'I wonder what he's thinking.'
InuYasha sat on the wooden bench, that he carved by hand, and sulked. He looked to the beautiful garden before him and couldn't even crack a smile. After the trip to the doctor's office, he couldn't help but think to the future or...lack thereof.
'Heart disease? I'm not that old and I've been careful.' He let out a frustrated groan as he buried his head between his knees.
Things were so over his head that he couldn't even breath anymore. The only thing that came to his mind at a moment like this was....Kagome.
She was all he thought about lately and how he let her go. 'But I had to because I love you.' He considered it irresponsible and foolish to still be with her, even though he loved her. At this point, especially with the devistating news, he could admitt it fully.
Admitt that he loved Kagome Higurashi with all of his heart and maybe depriving himself of her love was why he was in the predicament he was in now. 'I can't let her marry him' He thought.
"InuYasha, dinner's ready."
The said man lifted his head and turned to be matched with topaz. "Yeah, I'm coming.”
“How was the doctor’s visit? You’ve been looking rather ill afterwards.”
InuYasha shook his head. “It was good. I guess it’s just jetlag.”
“Good because I want you to pick up Kikyo from the airport tommorrow.”
InuYasha shot up angrily to his feet in seconds. “Why can’t you send Benson?”
“She asked for you.” Sesshomaru said simply. “Look, InuYasha, I can understand why you’re so mad about this, but this is our future. It’s our life. Just try to cooperate.”
InuYasha groaned. “Whatever.”
“Glad you’re in spirit. Now, hurry up for dinner. Your son seems to have some announcement to make.” Sesshomaru said leaving.
InuYasha reached into his pockets and pulled out his pills before popping two in his mouth.

Kagome sighed as she looked into the mirror at her plain black dress that she decided to wear.
“You look great, baby.” Hojo said walking into the room.
She gave him a short smile. “Thanks.”
It became eery silence draped the room between them. A silence that rarely happend and neither liked.
“So, um....where did your father go today?” Kagome said subtlely.
Hojo straightened the collar on his black dress shirt. “Why do you want to know?” He sternly said.
“I just wanted to know. I didn’t mean anything by it.”
“Yeah, I thought so. Hurry up, alright.” He tightly said before leaving the room.
Kagome looked strangely at the door Hojo just left out of. “What’s wrong with him?”
She shook it off and looked at herself in the mirror for a second.
A small creak to the door averted Kagome's eyes towards it. "Hey, Kag. How's it going?" The fiery brunette asked.
Kagome sighed and smiled. "It's going."
"You ready for the wedding."
"As ready as I'll ever be." Kagome said before a gut wrenching feeling hit her stomach. She held it with anguish before shaking it off.
"You okay, Kag. You look sick all of sudden." Sango said.
"It's fine. I'm fine."
"Okay." Sango said dubiously. "I'll see you at the dinner table." She said before walking out of the door.
Kagome sighed and looked at the mirror once again. "You look great." She assured herself before walking out of the door and bumping into a hard figure.
“I’m sorry. I didn’t see....” She stopped her sentence once the ocean met the sun and she looked deep into his amber eyes. “InuYasha.” She whispered.
“I’m sorry, Kagome.” InuYasha tried to pull away, but it was becoming extremely hard to look away from her. Her soft eyes staring intently into him. Her beautiful innocent face was flushed making her seem that much more pure.
They stared at each other afraid of what might come out of their own mouth. Their mind knew it was best to walk away, but their heart knew it was best to stay Stay in each others presence just a little bit longer.
“Kagome...I...” InuYasha started, wanting to tell her that he loved her and tell her that he missed her. “I have to go.” He quietly said before walking slowly away.
Kagome gaze followed him until he was out of sight.

It was quiet amongst the dinner table as each ate quietly. InuYasha couldn't help but to sneak peeks at Kagome and his heart clenched even more at the thought that she wasn't his.
Kagome kept her head down as she could feel the amber intensity of InuYasha's stare, but she was too scared to look, too scared that something would explode out of her mouth.
Hojo looked at his father giving Kagome looks making the jealousy burn inside of him.
He wouldn't make the last mistake of letting Kagome out of his sight or trust that she was too perfect to ever cheat on him. His plan to take her to Tokyo with him was full proof so he would know exactly what his fiance was up to.
Sesshomaru looked at the tragic love triangle and sighed. 'They're so stupid' "So, Hojo...?"
Hojo snapped out of his thoughts and looked to his uncle. "Yeah."
"I hear there was something that you wanted to tell us."
"Oh, yeah. I almost forgot." Hojo said before getting up. "Come on, Kag, you stand up with me."
Kagome looked at him strangely. "Why?"
"Just stand up sweetie." He said grabbing her arm and gently, but firmly, pulled her up.
"Alright, me and Kagome were going to save this for after the wedding, but we decided we couldn't wait any longer..."
"What are you doing?" Kagome whispered to him through clenched teeth.
"Trust me." He whispered. "Me and Kagome are moving to Tokyo together."
"Oh, that's wonderful!" Rin squeaked. "You guys are too perfect."
InuYasha couldn't believe all the feelings that washed over him. First, he wanted to hold Kagome and never let her go. Second, he wanted to chop his son's head, as harshly as it sounded.
"What do you mean? Seoul is in Korea." He said plainly trying to sound as impersonal as possible.
"I know where Seoul is. I don't need a geography lesson." Hojo said tightly.
"But I thought that Kagome was going to SNU," He paused and locked eyes with Kagome. "..like she wanted to."
Kagome looked away. "I don't think this was a great idea." She said to Hojo.
"Of course it is. I got Kagome a deal with the top publishing company. She will be on tours with all the famous poets and philosphers. So, she doesn't need to go to college."
"That is the stupidest thing I ever heard. I will not stand by and watch you ruin this girl's life."
"I am not ruining her life. I think it's a great idea and this way I can be closer to my wife."
"How could you be so selfish?" InuYasha spat.
"Selfish? I'm helping out my fiance and making her happy. Maybe if you did the same, Kikyo wouldn't have cheated on you."
InuYasha bit his lip to stop the profanities that were desperate to leak out. "You take that back."
"Why? It's the truth."
"I am your father and I want you to take that back."
"I have no father." Hojo tightly said before walking away leaving the dining room in silence.
"This meat is delicious. Wouldn't everbody agree?" Miroku said. Sango scowled him with an evil eye. "What?" He asked innocently.
“I’ll go see if he’s alright.” Kagome said before excusing herself from the table.

Hojo stomped up to his room. He was so mad that he felt he would burst into flames. Why did his father do this to him? All of these years he has idolized his father since the first time he grinned at him. InuYasha seemed like a superheroe, and to know he was just a regular joe that betrayed had cut Hojo deeply.
"He has the nerve to school me on responsibilty when everything he has done is completely feckless."
"Hojo?" A small voice called. He whipped his head around to find Kagome leaning against the doorway. "Are you okay?"
"No, I am not okay, Kagome." Hojo said bitterly.
"I was just trying to help."
"I don't need it." He paused and looked sideways "Especially not from you."
"I'll just go." Kagome said before she made an inglorious retreat.

After Hojo and Kagome left, everbody else seem to leave. Everybody except for InuYasha. His head was hung low, his bangs hiding the awful shame etched into his dim eyes. It wasn't suppose to be like this.
'Well, what did you expect? You brought this on yourself.' His conscious scorned making InuYasha hang his head lower. 'You were suppose to be the adult in this and was suppose to be the responsible one.'
'But what about love?' InuYasha couldn't help but to fight against himself. He loved Kagome even if it was irresponsible, unconviential, unethical, and several other negatives. 'What about love?' He asked himself. 'What's the responsible thing to do when there is love?'
InuYasha sighed with frustration. "I need some fresh air." He said before he got up and walked out the nearest door to the outside. The sky was stary and the gentle, fair breeze carried loving whispers into the night. It calmed him as he walked through the small paved way towards a wooden bench only to find her sitting there.
Kagome felt lost at sea. She didn't know where to turn to. She thought she was doing the right thing by marrying Hojo, but why did she fell so...wrong. Now, here she was sitting on wooden bench on a calm summer like night. It eased her worried nerves and sent her back to a place when she happy. When she was with him.
"Kagome?" A voice gently called.
Kagome whipped her head around only to find the silver haired hanyou staring intently into her with warm golden orbs. "InuYasha, what are you doing out here?" She said before quickly gettting up.
"I was about to ask you the same question." He said easing towards her to try and feel her loving presence.
"I was getting some air."
"So, was I." He whispered as he inched closer to her to see the mystery behind those stormy blue eyes.
Kagome felt stripped and powerless under his intent gaze. If she didn't leave then, she knew something would happen. "I-I-I have to go." She studdered before she started to leave.
InuYasha swung his arm around her waist and effortlessly brought her into his embrace. "No, not yet." All the thoughts of regret flew right out. He knew what and who he wanted. He didn't know if he had that much time left and he had to keep her near. It was what made his heart skip a beat in the good sense.
"Don't do this." She pleaded, placing her hands onto his chest to push off of him, but he kept her against him. He had to keep her enveloped into him to make sense in his world.
"I can't...." He sighed and looked up into the sky trying to decide whether or not he should tell her.
She looked up at him. "You can't what."
He captured her eyes with his before he licked his lips to regain moisture to his dry mouth. "I can't let you hurt my son."
"Hurt your son?" Kagome said in astonishment. "If I can recall, we've already done that." She said untying herself out of his embrace.
InuYasha ran a frustrated hand through his platnium locks. "I can't let you marry my son when you don't love him."
"I do love him." Kagome said in a angry suffocated breath. She couldn't believe his nerve to say that.
"Baby, I know you don't love him."
Kagome decided to stray away from the fact that he called her baby. "How do you figure that?" She said folding her arms in defense.
"Because you're in with love me."
Kagome dropped her hands to her sides. "What?" She whispered.
"Look, I know our worlds collided at the wrong time. I don't know how, but this connection, this hold, that has grabbed onto to us just won't let go."
Kagome shook her head in dismay. "You're wrong, okay."
"I'm wrong?" He repeated in disbelief. "You can't feel that?" He asked. "You can't feel us. It's there, baby, and it ain't going nowhere."
Kagome looked up into his eyes. "Why are you doing this?"
There were several answers to that question, but only one fitted right. "Because I love you."
Kagome fought the hot steams of upcoming tears. "Stop fucking with my heart, InuYasha. Wasn't it a minute a ago when you refused me?"
"Baby, I didn't how to deal. Believe it or not I was scared and didn't know if I could handle us."
Kagome wanted to believe the words coming out of his mouth. She wanted to believe the way he spoke so lovingly, but it was too late. "I was scared, too, you know. You didn't have to bail out, but it's too late and you have to leave this alone. I'm marrying Hojo and you can't do anything about it." She huffed before she walked off.
InuYasha watched her obsidian curls sway in the gentle wind as she made a hasty exit.
"Kagome." He whispered.
Kagome could feel InuYasha's stare burn holes in her back as she quickly walked away from him. She practically ran into the doors that led to the dining room and threw herself against the wall and let out the frustrated tears that were held captive. Her cries echoed through the room and she slid down to floor and cradled her knees. 'Why was he doing this? Why now?!' She thought. The hard moans of sorrow shook her body like a feeble leave and she couldn't control it. The steely cries caused her head to thump with pain and she wanted it to go away. Kagome heard the dining room door creak and felt a warm presence lunge over her emotionally fragile form. She looked up to see warm inviting eyes of gold.
InuYasha could hear her cries from outside and hated himself for giving her distress. He stood over her and held out his hand, silently begging for the unforgivable. Kagome conceded into him as she grapsed his hand and he swept her up to her feet and into his embrace.
Kagome enveloped her small arms around his tall structured frame and relished in that musky scent that was InuYasha and basked in the warmth that calmed her soul.
InuYasha used a digit to lift her chin up to look deeply into her eyes. No words were needed when his eye's spoke such volumes. He slowly lowered his lips to hers to just brush against her soft pouty petals. It wasn't enough for him. He needed more. Craved more. InuYasha then ran his hot tongue across her lips loving the way it sent his taste buds into a frenzy. Kagome let out a ragged breath of suffocated passion. InuYasha took advantage of the moment, and stole the rights she ever had to her mouth with his tongue. He ravished her in unthinkable ways. It was too long. Too damn long and he couldn't believe how he lived without having her taste in his mouth twenty-four seven.
Kagome ran her hands down his back and up to his long, wavy locks. She grabbed a hold of him and was afraid to let go. She feared that if she did let go that this feeling would only exist in her dreams, but she had too because in reality it was a dream. Kagome used every fiber of strength in her body to pull away from him. She panted to gain back control of herself. "InuYasha." She started.
"Don't" He sighed before leaning his forehead against hers. "Don't fuck up the moment."
Kagome groaned and licked her lips. "But I have to." She said putting much needed space between them. "We met at the wrong time."
"Or maybe we met at the right time." He pleaded to her.
Kagome shook her head. "Don't be so naive, InuYasha." She sighed and touched her lips to savor him on her. "I have to go." She before she ran away from his sight.
