Chapter 21.
Cracking open his eyes, Seiya let out a loud complaining grunt as he accidentally stared into a beam of sunlight. Putting his face down, he began to rub it against what he thought was a pillow. Tilting his head upward, Seiya saw the peaceful sleeping face of Sesshomaru before him. Setting his face back on the demon’s chest he inhaled the musky scent and smiled as he remembered what had occurred in the early hours of the morning. He and Sesshomaru were finally mated and he had more than ample proof to clarify it since his butt felt like it’d been hit with a mack truck. Letting out a small hiss from the pain, he slid quietly to the floor and removed his cane from under the bed before making his way to the bathroom.
Flicking the light switch, Sei rubbed the sleep from his eyes and splashed some cold water on his face to wake himself up, and grabbing a towel he dried his face before glancing at the clock and with a chuckle said, “1:30? I guess we really needed that rest.” Setting the towel back on the rack, Sei brushed his teeth before finally taking a full look in the mirror where a small surprise awaited him. Letting his eyes focus in on his left shoulder he saw a huge purple marking running from the top of his shoulder to the top edge of his nipple.
Looking out into the room he focused in on Sesshomarus face and looking at the mark on his shoulder, it was shaped exactly like the slashes that went across the demons cheeks. Running a finger along it he said, “I guess now the mystery of the mating marks is solved.” Hearing a light grunt reach his ears from the direction of the bed, Seiya cracked as mall smile as he turned to find pair of deep amber eyes scanning his body. Shutting off the light, the human hobbled back over to the bed, sat on the edge of it and asked, “Do you see this?” Letting out a small yawn, the demon reached up and rubbing the boys shoulder said, “Interesting mark. I thought it would have been taken the shape of the moon on my forehead.” Kissing the demons hand, Sei took a glance at Sesshomarus own left shoulder and said, “You have one as well.”
Snorting the demon said, “Of course I have one. That is the desired result when the mating bite is finally done.” Rolling his eyes at the demon’s superior attitude, Sei said, “Well, you should have gotten a damp rag last night to clean ourselves with.” Smirking the demon said, “We were lost in a haze, my dear human. So forgive me if a cleaning device was forgotten.” Growling at his mates sarcasm, Sei tapped him on the head with his cane and said, “Next time, we shower after we’re done.” Nodding, the demon let out a stifled yawn before saying, “I need to get up, so if you’ll please get off the bed, I can relieve myself. Unless of course, you want stained sheets?”
Wrinkling his nose, Sei got off the bed and allowed the demon to stand and stretch before pulling him into a deep kiss. Pressing his lips against the boy, Sesshomaru reached down and gave his mate’s crotch a light rub before breaking away and saying, “Be sure to initiate next time.” Nibbling, the demons necked, Seiya chuckled and said, “I’m barely able to walk after last night, but I think we’ll work something out for next time.” Giving the boys mating mark a quick kiss, and not to mention a slow lick, Sesshomaru made his way to the bathroom for a quick shower, while Seiya began dressing in the clothes he’d worn the night before.
Once his shirt was on, he decided to make some breakfast for him and Sesshomaru before they showered and headed out. He guessed that with what they had done last night, Kagome and the others would be hounding them all day, and he was quite sure that Sesshomaru would like to get that interrogation over with before anything else happened. Deciding to make some waffles and fruit, Seis plans for a nice brunch was interrupted by a knocking at his door. Gulping loudly, Sei shut his bedroom door before grabbing the front doorknob and asking, “Who is it?”
He was expecting to hear, “FEDEX,” or “Mailman!” But the three words, the young man didn’t want to hear come through the door were, “It’s your father!” Feeling like he’d just swallowed a lead brick, Sei opened the door and said quietly, “Hi dad.” Taking his hat off the older Mizutani asked, “Did you just get out of bed? It’s nearly two?” Grinning sheepishly, Sei ran a hand through his hair and said, “I didn’t get to bed until six.” Staring at his son, he asked, “Why the hell did you stay up until six?” Sei was about to answer when the sound of the toilet flushing reached the ears of him and his father. With a grin of pride the elder male said, “Ohhhhhh I see what happened. Had a little company last night?” Blushing a deep shade of crimson, Sei chuckled and said, “It’s not what you think dad.”
Clasping his son on the shoulder, Robert said in a happy voice, “Its fine son. You’re on your own and a grown man so if you have a girl over, there’s no problem, but at least let me meet the young lady.” Sei was about to answer when they heard the bedroom door click open. Sei tried to force the door shut but his dad was being his usual stubborn self, so as he was using his back to push the door shut, Sesshomaru walked by without even giving the squabbling men a second glance.
Freezing in their tracks, the two mens eyes remained focused on the small dining area as they heard the refrigerator door open, accompanied by the soft clicking sound of a bottle being opened and a few seconds later the two men were forced to watch a naked Sesshomaru walk by them, revealing his sleek, sinewy body as he took deep gulps of water, as he headed right back into the bedroom. Looking at his father, Sei said in a whisper, “Dad, I can explain this.” Looking at his son in shock, the man asked, “Really? You can explain the fact that a naked man just came out of your bedroom. What is he your room mate?” Nodding the young man gulped and said, “To an extent, but you may want to come in and sit down for this dad.” Staring at his son, the middle-aged man asked, “I’ll stand if you don’t mind.” Gulping loudly, Sei wiped a small bit of sweat from his head and said, “Well dad....umm...I’m....uhh...gay.”
Breathing heavily and giving his son a soul piercing stare and asked, “And just how long have you been hiding this little tidbit of your life from me?” Sighing Sei said, “I’ve been sure of it for about five years now dad.” Breathing heavily he nodded and asked, “Who else knows this about you?”
Shifting his weight to his left leg, Sei said, “Michelle, Kagome, Inuyasha, Kagmoes family, a few friends and Sara are the only people who know about me.” Glaring at his eldest child, Robert asked, “So pretty much everybody important to you, except for me. Was it some sort of revenge for not being around a lot when you were a kid?” Shaking his head, Sei said, “It’s not like that dad. You know how the press is with our family, with trying to find some way to tarnish our name. And I thought it best if it didn’t leak out just in case something happened if I went to a club.” Clenching his face the older man said, “You go to the clubs?” Growling at his fathers lack of understanding, Sei shook his head and said, “No! I don’t go to clubs, bath houses, or any other places that are gay only. I intermingle with all sorts of people and keep it to myself because it’s my life and I don’t need to make a big deal out of the fact that I’m a member of a group of people that supposedly takes up ten percent of the planet’s population.”
Keeping his gaze on his sons eyes, Robert asked, “How many partners have you had?” Snorting at the question, Sei said, “Sexually, he’s the only one. And to tell you last night was the first time we actually did well . . . ” Feeling a bit faint the older man said, “Are you both clean?”Staring at his father in shock Seiya said, “Yeah we’re clean! What the hell do you think I am some sort of slut?! You know my philosophy on sex dad. You know that I would never sleep with anybody unless I was with them long enough to know I’d be able to deal with the consequences of my actions. And, besides I’m the only person he’s ever been with and vice versa.”
Feeling his face burn with embarrassment and shame, the older man said, “You aren’t a whore son. I never said as much nor will I ever think that. I know you are very frightened about getting some god awful disease, but I worry about you and you hiding this from me is something I can’t let slide.” Eyes welling with some tears the young man said, “I know that, dad. But I love him and I know he loves me.” Dropping his face, Robert said lowly, “How do you know that it’s for certain.” Wiping a tear and laughing, Sei said, “Because he shows it to me. He’s never yelled at me, raised a hand to me, goes to extreme lengths just to make me smile somewhat and he’s come to my aide when I’ve needed him by my side. It may only be nine months since we first met but I know it’s going to last longer than grandma and grandpa.” Grunting a laugh the older man said, “I will want to speak with him about this, until then I can’t really look you in the eye after hiding this from me.”
Sighing sadly at his fathers reaction, Sei said, “I’ll talk to you soon.” The older Mizutani said nothing, but gave only a slight nod before heading down the stairs to his car, while Seiya shut the apartment door and headed back into the bedroom, only to hear the shower running and Sesshomaru humming a soft tune. Shedding his dirty clothes, Seiya stepped quietly into the bathroom and opened the shower door to find Sesshomaru leaning his head against the walls with his eyes closed. Climbing in, the human grabbed his mate by the waist and asked, “Did you think you were being funny?” Opening his eyes before turning, Sesshomaru kept his gazed locked to his mates when he asked, “What do you mean?” Slanting his eyes at the demons question, Seiya asked, “What just happened a few minutes ago when you came out with no clothing on and flashed my father?”
Snorting at the boys anger, Sesshomaru said, “I wasn’t paying attention to who was keeping you away from coming back to bed, so I headed out there without knowing that it was your father at the door. But just so you don’t think I’m making excuses, the scent of last nights events are still clouding almost every other scent around this dwelling” Deciding that his mate was telling the truth, Seiya said in a heavy manner, “My father now knows about our relationship because of that stunt.” Pushing the boys wet hair out of his face, Sesshomaru leaned in and asked, “What did he have to say about it?” Putting his head on the demons shoulder the human said, “He can’t even look me in the eye right now.” Pulling his mate in close, the demon placed a gentle kiss to the wet hair and said, “I guess it was meant to happen like this. You’ve been keeping the secret from him while allowing everyone else to know. So I think it is rather easy to see that he feels a little ashamed about you not trusting him enough to tell him.” Removing his head from the demons shoulder, Seiya looked into his eyes and said, “Maybe it was selfish. But at least he doesn’t hate us for being together.”
Grunting his approval the demon ran his hand down the humans back to his ass, where he smirked at seeing the boy shiver a bit before asking, “Does it hurt?” Looking at the demon, Seiya smacked his forehead and said, “Of course it hurts! What did you think that because you lubricated, my ass would be fine?”Massaging the boys neck with his other hand the demon chuckled and said, “Well, I expected you to have some discomfort. But, remember to initiate next time.” Letting out a small huff, Sei looked to his mate and asked, “What was that song you were humming before I came in here?” Rinsing out the remaining shampoo, the demon had lathered in before the boy joined him, Sesshomaru brushed his bangs from his face and said, “It was something my father used to hum. I don’t know where it came from, but he always used to hum it to calm me when I was a child.”
Scrubbing the soap from his face, Seiya dabbed at his eyes with the back of his hand before asking, “Well then if we ever decide to adopt a child, you can hum it to sleep.” Not saying anything, the demon shut off the water as he asked, “What did you have planned for us today?” Shaking the water out of his hair, Sei snickered at seeing the demons annoyance before saying, “Probably just go back and tell the others since I’m quite certain the one message that is on my machine was left by Kagome.” Rolling his eyes at hearing about the phone, Sesshomaru said, “I detest those infernal contraptions.” Leaning in, Sei planted a kiss on the demon’s lips before saying, “How come you hate a piece of plastic and circuitry?” Slanting his eyes, Sesshomaru gritted his teeth before saying, “Because it has interrupted to many intimate moments between us.” Putting his hand through the drenched mane of his beloved, Sei smiled coyly as he said, “Too bad I’m still sore from our intimate morning encounter, or else you would be where I was last night.”
Nuzzling the boys cheek, Sesshomaru planted a light kiss on it before saying, “Get dressed koishii, we have a long day ahead of us.” Grinning broadly, Sei pressed the demon against the wall and said, “Just to let you know I’m going to get my turn on top very, very soon.” Keeping his face set like stone the demon reached down and said, “I can tell you’re anxious, but don’t wait too long or you may get used to being on bottom.” Sucking the demons bottom lip, Sei said, “I don’t mind it but I think it’ll be more fun to watch you squirm under me.” Before the demon could reply, Seis hands had already made their way to the demons smooth backside and his fully aroused cock.
However, just as Sei began to kneel down on the shower floor, Sesshomaru grabbed his arms and said, “Not now, Seiya. We have too much to get done today, and besides you may want to save some of your energy for later.” Growling loudly, Seiya got to his feet and said in an angered voice, “You’re going to pay for that.” Chuckling, Sesshomaru kissed his lips lightly before saying, “You keep saying that, but never follow through.” Stepping out of the shower, Sei grabbed his cane, and went into the bedroom as he said, “Oh, I will follow through. Last night was great, but it will pale in comparison to what I will do.”
Standing in the doorway, Sesshomaru watched as the boy put on some fresh clothes as he said, “Well don’t do too much or else we’ll run out of things to occupy our nights with.” Throwing a pair of boxers and a shirt at the demon, Sei began to slip on his socks before saying, “Don’t worry about our night life, we have a long time to try out new things.” Buttoning up his slacks, Sesshomaru walked to the closet and pulled out a black shirt that Seiya had purchased a couple of months ago to celebrate them being together for six months, and after straightening the collar the demon said, “I heard that your father wished to talk to me.” Stopping at the bedroom door, Sei sighed and said, “Yeah he wants to talk to you about us.”
Walking up behind his mate, Sesshomaru kissed the back of Seiyas neck as he said, “I want you to go and talk to my brother and the others alone today.” Shuddering at the warm breath against his neck, Sei nodded and said, “I figured you say as much. I take it you’re going to use that odd flying technique of yours?” Shaking his head, the demon caressed his mates back and said, “I’ll take to the roofs, and once I reach a wide-open area I can run there in a few minutes.” Snorting, Sei kissed the hand that was on his neck and said, “Okay, just don’t do anything too rash.”
About twelve minutes later, Seiya was giving Sesshomaru a deep kiss before backing out of his parking space, and once gone the demon took to the roof tops and began to pounce his way out of the city, via Skyscraper Highways. However, once on the city outskirts, Sesshomaru had to stop and check for a land mark that would tell him he was going in the right direction, and using his demon vision, he found a familiar sign that took him and Seiya to the quiet country road towards the home of his mates father.
Although he knew that the area he was in, was once a beautiful forest, Sesshomaru was glad to see that the humans were at least trying to preserve the natural beauty that he knew the area to have. As he ran through the trees and open spaces, Sesshomaru saw many birds, deer, tanooki and even the occasional rabbit come across his path. The silence was a blessing to him, since he had spent much of the day listening to the occasional blare of car horns, alarms and people screaming at each other from the street that led to Seiyas house, and to have a few moments silence was truly god sent.
Reaching the Mizutani residence, Sesshomaru slowed to a brisk walk and followed the stone pathway up to the front door of the house and rang the doorbell. To his surprise none of the dogs came out the small two way flap that was installed, and after ringing the bell again and waiting for five minutes a tired voice said, “Hold on a second.” before unlocking the door and asking, “Who is it?” Letting out a small cough the demon said, “Sesshomaru, Michelle-san. I have come to talk with Mizutani-dono.” Opening the door the woman gave weak smile and said, “Good thing you came here so quickly,” before looking over his shoulder and saying, “but where is Seiya?”
Giving a motion to ask if it was okay to step in, the demon did as he said, “Seiya is in town. I took a...bus here since it was so urgent that Mizuntani-san discuss some things with me.” Smirking the painfully pregnant woman said, “He’s in the study going over some paperwork. He hasn’t said anything since after he came home and questioned me about you and Seiya.” Bowing his head Sesshomaru said, “I’m sorry if I have caused any problems.” Giggling the woman said, “You haven’t caused any problems dear. But the study is right through that door. I’ll be in the living room while you two talk things over.”
Following where the woman had pointed her hand, Sesshomaru came to a tall pine door and breathing heavily gave it a hard knock. He heard the shuffling of paper before a voice said in some what dismissive voice, “Come in.” Turning the knob, Sesshomaru stepped inside the door and said, “Mizutani-san, I hear you had things to discuss with me regarding Seiya.” Looking up from the desk, the middle aged man said, “You’re fucking my son. What’s there to discuss.” Only knowing that first part of “fucking” to be used as a sexual reference, Sesshomaru said in a calm voice, “I can assure you that it is much more than what you think.”
Setting his pen down, the man glared at the demon and said, “He said that you are in love with each other, yet you’ve known one another less than a year. So, how is it that you can fall in love so quickly?” Stepping forward, Sesshomaru gave the look to ask if he could sit and upon receiving permission leaned forward with his elbows on his knees and said, “I can assure you neither of us were expecting this. But I know that my feelings for your son go beyond anything sexual.” Staring the demon in the eyes, Robert said, “My son thinks so as well. But, I wish to know why he came to the assumption that he was gay.” Staring at the human Sesshomaru asked, “Does it matter that your son prefers men to women? You have another son along the way so surely you can expect grandchildren from that one.”
Scoffing at the demons comment, the man said, “Do you have children, Mr. Taisho?” Breathing heavily, Sesshomaru kept his eye contact and said, “Seven years ago I found a girl who was almost taken from this world and I nursed her back to health, and at first I could have cared less about her but after awhile I grew to love her like my own daughter.” Not even letting a blink slip, Robert asked, “How old is your adoptive daughter?” Thinking for a moment the demon said, “She will be fifteen next spring. We don’t know her birth date so she counts the day she came into my life as her birthday.”
Leaning forward in his chair, Mizutani asked, “So I take it you can understand why I am feeling the way I am about this whole situation.” Nodding the demon said, “If she were to do such a thing to me I would probably react the way you have. But, Seiya thought he was doing you a favor to keep such a thing from you.” Letting out a sad breath the man said, “I know his intentions were pure, but I just wonder what else he’s been hiding from me. But, now that I think about it a bit more he did do me a bit of a favor by hiding this from me. God, knows the feeding frenzy that would happen if he was found in one of those clubs that are always shut down for public indecency and the like.” Shaking his head, Sesshomaru said, “Seiya never goes to those places. He prefers a quiet evening with a book, a movie or just laying on the couch staring at the ceiling.”
Chuckling the man said, “He was always like that. He’d go out when he felt like it, but he did like a quiet evening at home with people he cares about and I can see that you have been healthy for him since this is the happiest I’ve seen him in years.” Keeping silent, Sesshomaru stared at the mans smile before saying, “Mizutani-san....about your son and I. There is something I must show you.” Arching an eyebrows, Roberts smile fautlered as he said, “What’s the problem with you? Granted you have those tattoos and long hair, but other than that you’re a very handsome young man.” Reaching across the desk, Sesshomaru asked, “Might I use this for a moment?” Watching the demons hand, Rober nodded shakily and said, “Of course, although I don’t know why you need it.”
Taking the letter opener, Sesshomaru set it on his lap and said, “Watch my hands and face closely.” Keeping focused on the mentioned parts, Robert gasped loudly as he saw Sesshomarus ears and ears lengthen to the their true form. Chuckling nervously, Robert said, “That is some trick you got there. What is it some sort of prosthetic used in the movies.” Shaking his head at the humans disbelief, Sesshomaru said, “Watch my hand very closely.” Watching Sesshomarus palm with such focus, Robert didn’t even notice that the demon had raised his right hand and jabbed it forward, spearing the delicate flesh. Screaming loudly he said, “What the fuck is wrong with you?!” Glaring at the human Sesshomaru bared his fangs and said, “Silence!!” In such a loud manner that the man didn’t even make a noise breathing.
Grasping the handle of the object, Sesshomaru slid it out with surgical like delicacy and smirked as he saw only a few drops of blood come from the gash. Putting the appendage on the table, Sesshomaru watched as Roberts eyes widened from the sight of the wound closing and whisper, “You’re a demon aren’t you?” Nodding, Sesshomaru said, “Yes, and my brother is a half breed. When you met him he was in his weakened stage which occurs each night of the new moon.” Shaking his head Robert asked, “What does this mean to Seiya.” Shaking his hand to relieve the slight discomfort of the healed wound, Sesshomaru said, “He doesn’t care. What he told you about how we met was true to an extent, but there are parts that you will learn about later. All you need to know is that now we are mates and he will live as long as I live and vice versa. He made the choice of his own free will. I told him when we started courting that he did not have to mate with me, and should he have chosen not to. I still would have stayed by his side to protect and love him.”
Robert remained silent as Sesshomaru explained this about his sons relationship to the demon. He had a brother who was an expert on demons and the occult and knew about how they mated. But now that his son was bound to one he had so many questions that needed answering. But, they wouldn’t come out since every time the man opened his mouth, small little grunts escaped and just when he finally got up the nerve to ask something, Michelle burst in holding to bags in her hands and shouted, “Get me to the hospital right now!”

He was expecting to hear, “FEDEX,” or “Mailman!” But the three words, the young man didn’t want to hear come through the door were, “It’s your father!” Feeling like he’d just swallowed a lead brick, Sei opened the door and said quietly, “Hi dad.” Taking his hat off the older Mizutani asked, “Did you just get out of bed? It’s nearly two?” Grinning sheepishly, Sei ran a hand through his hair and said, “I didn’t get to bed until six.” Staring at his son, he asked, “Why the hell did you stay up until six?” Sei was about to answer when the sound of the toilet flushing reached the ears of him and his father. With a grin of pride the elder male said, “Ohhhhhh I see what happened. Had a little company last night?” Blushing a deep shade of crimson, Sei chuckled and said, “It’s not what you think dad.”
Clasping his son on the shoulder, Robert said in a happy voice, “Its fine son. You’re on your own and a grown man so if you have a girl over, there’s no problem, but at least let me meet the young lady.” Sei was about to answer when they heard the bedroom door click open. Sei tried to force the door shut but his dad was being his usual stubborn self, so as he was using his back to push the door shut, Sesshomaru walked by without even giving the squabbling men a second glance.
Freezing in their tracks, the two mens eyes remained focused on the small dining area as they heard the refrigerator door open, accompanied by the soft clicking sound of a bottle being opened and a few seconds later the two men were forced to watch a naked Sesshomaru walk by them, revealing his sleek, sinewy body as he took deep gulps of water, as he headed right back into the bedroom. Looking at his father, Sei said in a whisper, “Dad, I can explain this.” Looking at his son in shock, the man asked, “Really? You can explain the fact that a naked man just came out of your bedroom. What is he your room mate?” Nodding the young man gulped and said, “To an extent, but you may want to come in and sit down for this dad.” Staring at his son, the middle-aged man asked, “I’ll stand if you don’t mind.” Gulping loudly, Sei wiped a small bit of sweat from his head and said, “Well dad....umm...I’m....uhh...gay.”
Breathing heavily and giving his son a soul piercing stare and asked, “And just how long have you been hiding this little tidbit of your life from me?” Sighing Sei said, “I’ve been sure of it for about five years now dad.” Breathing heavily he nodded and asked, “Who else knows this about you?”
Shifting his weight to his left leg, Sei said, “Michelle, Kagome, Inuyasha, Kagmoes family, a few friends and Sara are the only people who know about me.” Glaring at his eldest child, Robert asked, “So pretty much everybody important to you, except for me. Was it some sort of revenge for not being around a lot when you were a kid?” Shaking his head, Sei said, “It’s not like that dad. You know how the press is with our family, with trying to find some way to tarnish our name. And I thought it best if it didn’t leak out just in case something happened if I went to a club.” Clenching his face the older man said, “You go to the clubs?” Growling at his fathers lack of understanding, Sei shook his head and said, “No! I don’t go to clubs, bath houses, or any other places that are gay only. I intermingle with all sorts of people and keep it to myself because it’s my life and I don’t need to make a big deal out of the fact that I’m a member of a group of people that supposedly takes up ten percent of the planet’s population.”
Keeping his gaze on his sons eyes, Robert asked, “How many partners have you had?” Snorting at the question, Sei said, “Sexually, he’s the only one. And to tell you last night was the first time we actually did well . . . ” Feeling a bit faint the older man said, “Are you both clean?”Staring at his father in shock Seiya said, “Yeah we’re clean! What the hell do you think I am some sort of slut?! You know my philosophy on sex dad. You know that I would never sleep with anybody unless I was with them long enough to know I’d be able to deal with the consequences of my actions. And, besides I’m the only person he’s ever been with and vice versa.”
Feeling his face burn with embarrassment and shame, the older man said, “You aren’t a whore son. I never said as much nor will I ever think that. I know you are very frightened about getting some god awful disease, but I worry about you and you hiding this from me is something I can’t let slide.” Eyes welling with some tears the young man said, “I know that, dad. But I love him and I know he loves me.” Dropping his face, Robert said lowly, “How do you know that it’s for certain.” Wiping a tear and laughing, Sei said, “Because he shows it to me. He’s never yelled at me, raised a hand to me, goes to extreme lengths just to make me smile somewhat and he’s come to my aide when I’ve needed him by my side. It may only be nine months since we first met but I know it’s going to last longer than grandma and grandpa.” Grunting a laugh the older man said, “I will want to speak with him about this, until then I can’t really look you in the eye after hiding this from me.”
Sighing sadly at his fathers reaction, Sei said, “I’ll talk to you soon.” The older Mizutani said nothing, but gave only a slight nod before heading down the stairs to his car, while Seiya shut the apartment door and headed back into the bedroom, only to hear the shower running and Sesshomaru humming a soft tune. Shedding his dirty clothes, Seiya stepped quietly into the bathroom and opened the shower door to find Sesshomaru leaning his head against the walls with his eyes closed. Climbing in, the human grabbed his mate by the waist and asked, “Did you think you were being funny?” Opening his eyes before turning, Sesshomaru kept his gazed locked to his mates when he asked, “What do you mean?” Slanting his eyes at the demons question, Seiya asked, “What just happened a few minutes ago when you came out with no clothing on and flashed my father?”
Snorting at the boys anger, Sesshomaru said, “I wasn’t paying attention to who was keeping you away from coming back to bed, so I headed out there without knowing that it was your father at the door. But just so you don’t think I’m making excuses, the scent of last nights events are still clouding almost every other scent around this dwelling” Deciding that his mate was telling the truth, Seiya said in a heavy manner, “My father now knows about our relationship because of that stunt.” Pushing the boys wet hair out of his face, Sesshomaru leaned in and asked, “What did he have to say about it?” Putting his head on the demons shoulder the human said, “He can’t even look me in the eye right now.” Pulling his mate in close, the demon placed a gentle kiss to the wet hair and said, “I guess it was meant to happen like this. You’ve been keeping the secret from him while allowing everyone else to know. So I think it is rather easy to see that he feels a little ashamed about you not trusting him enough to tell him.” Removing his head from the demons shoulder, Seiya looked into his eyes and said, “Maybe it was selfish. But at least he doesn’t hate us for being together.”
Grunting his approval the demon ran his hand down the humans back to his ass, where he smirked at seeing the boy shiver a bit before asking, “Does it hurt?” Looking at the demon, Seiya smacked his forehead and said, “Of course it hurts! What did you think that because you lubricated, my ass would be fine?”Massaging the boys neck with his other hand the demon chuckled and said, “Well, I expected you to have some discomfort. But, remember to initiate next time.” Letting out a small huff, Sei looked to his mate and asked, “What was that song you were humming before I came in here?” Rinsing out the remaining shampoo, the demon had lathered in before the boy joined him, Sesshomaru brushed his bangs from his face and said, “It was something my father used to hum. I don’t know where it came from, but he always used to hum it to calm me when I was a child.”
Scrubbing the soap from his face, Seiya dabbed at his eyes with the back of his hand before asking, “Well then if we ever decide to adopt a child, you can hum it to sleep.” Not saying anything, the demon shut off the water as he asked, “What did you have planned for us today?” Shaking the water out of his hair, Sei snickered at seeing the demons annoyance before saying, “Probably just go back and tell the others since I’m quite certain the one message that is on my machine was left by Kagome.” Rolling his eyes at hearing about the phone, Sesshomaru said, “I detest those infernal contraptions.” Leaning in, Sei planted a kiss on the demon’s lips before saying, “How come you hate a piece of plastic and circuitry?” Slanting his eyes, Sesshomaru gritted his teeth before saying, “Because it has interrupted to many intimate moments between us.” Putting his hand through the drenched mane of his beloved, Sei smiled coyly as he said, “Too bad I’m still sore from our intimate morning encounter, or else you would be where I was last night.”
Nuzzling the boys cheek, Sesshomaru planted a light kiss on it before saying, “Get dressed koishii, we have a long day ahead of us.” Grinning broadly, Sei pressed the demon against the wall and said, “Just to let you know I’m going to get my turn on top very, very soon.” Keeping his face set like stone the demon reached down and said, “I can tell you’re anxious, but don’t wait too long or you may get used to being on bottom.” Sucking the demons bottom lip, Sei said, “I don’t mind it but I think it’ll be more fun to watch you squirm under me.” Before the demon could reply, Seis hands had already made their way to the demons smooth backside and his fully aroused cock.
However, just as Sei began to kneel down on the shower floor, Sesshomaru grabbed his arms and said, “Not now, Seiya. We have too much to get done today, and besides you may want to save some of your energy for later.” Growling loudly, Seiya got to his feet and said in an angered voice, “You’re going to pay for that.” Chuckling, Sesshomaru kissed his lips lightly before saying, “You keep saying that, but never follow through.” Stepping out of the shower, Sei grabbed his cane, and went into the bedroom as he said, “Oh, I will follow through. Last night was great, but it will pale in comparison to what I will do.”
Standing in the doorway, Sesshomaru watched as the boy put on some fresh clothes as he said, “Well don’t do too much or else we’ll run out of things to occupy our nights with.” Throwing a pair of boxers and a shirt at the demon, Sei began to slip on his socks before saying, “Don’t worry about our night life, we have a long time to try out new things.” Buttoning up his slacks, Sesshomaru walked to the closet and pulled out a black shirt that Seiya had purchased a couple of months ago to celebrate them being together for six months, and after straightening the collar the demon said, “I heard that your father wished to talk to me.” Stopping at the bedroom door, Sei sighed and said, “Yeah he wants to talk to you about us.”
Walking up behind his mate, Sesshomaru kissed the back of Seiyas neck as he said, “I want you to go and talk to my brother and the others alone today.” Shuddering at the warm breath against his neck, Sei nodded and said, “I figured you say as much. I take it you’re going to use that odd flying technique of yours?” Shaking his head, the demon caressed his mates back and said, “I’ll take to the roofs, and once I reach a wide-open area I can run there in a few minutes.” Snorting, Sei kissed the hand that was on his neck and said, “Okay, just don’t do anything too rash.”
About twelve minutes later, Seiya was giving Sesshomaru a deep kiss before backing out of his parking space, and once gone the demon took to the roof tops and began to pounce his way out of the city, via Skyscraper Highways. However, once on the city outskirts, Sesshomaru had to stop and check for a land mark that would tell him he was going in the right direction, and using his demon vision, he found a familiar sign that took him and Seiya to the quiet country road towards the home of his mates father.
Although he knew that the area he was in, was once a beautiful forest, Sesshomaru was glad to see that the humans were at least trying to preserve the natural beauty that he knew the area to have. As he ran through the trees and open spaces, Sesshomaru saw many birds, deer, tanooki and even the occasional rabbit come across his path. The silence was a blessing to him, since he had spent much of the day listening to the occasional blare of car horns, alarms and people screaming at each other from the street that led to Seiyas house, and to have a few moments silence was truly god sent.
Reaching the Mizutani residence, Sesshomaru slowed to a brisk walk and followed the stone pathway up to the front door of the house and rang the doorbell. To his surprise none of the dogs came out the small two way flap that was installed, and after ringing the bell again and waiting for five minutes a tired voice said, “Hold on a second.” before unlocking the door and asking, “Who is it?” Letting out a small cough the demon said, “Sesshomaru, Michelle-san. I have come to talk with Mizutani-dono.” Opening the door the woman gave weak smile and said, “Good thing you came here so quickly,” before looking over his shoulder and saying, “but where is Seiya?”
Giving a motion to ask if it was okay to step in, the demon did as he said, “Seiya is in town. I took a...bus here since it was so urgent that Mizuntani-san discuss some things with me.” Smirking the painfully pregnant woman said, “He’s in the study going over some paperwork. He hasn’t said anything since after he came home and questioned me about you and Seiya.” Bowing his head Sesshomaru said, “I’m sorry if I have caused any problems.” Giggling the woman said, “You haven’t caused any problems dear. But the study is right through that door. I’ll be in the living room while you two talk things over.”
Following where the woman had pointed her hand, Sesshomaru came to a tall pine door and breathing heavily gave it a hard knock. He heard the shuffling of paper before a voice said in some what dismissive voice, “Come in.” Turning the knob, Sesshomaru stepped inside the door and said, “Mizutani-san, I hear you had things to discuss with me regarding Seiya.” Looking up from the desk, the middle aged man said, “You’re fucking my son. What’s there to discuss.” Only knowing that first part of “fucking” to be used as a sexual reference, Sesshomaru said in a calm voice, “I can assure you that it is much more than what you think.”
Setting his pen down, the man glared at the demon and said, “He said that you are in love with each other, yet you’ve known one another less than a year. So, how is it that you can fall in love so quickly?” Stepping forward, Sesshomaru gave the look to ask if he could sit and upon receiving permission leaned forward with his elbows on his knees and said, “I can assure you neither of us were expecting this. But I know that my feelings for your son go beyond anything sexual.” Staring the demon in the eyes, Robert said, “My son thinks so as well. But, I wish to know why he came to the assumption that he was gay.” Staring at the human Sesshomaru asked, “Does it matter that your son prefers men to women? You have another son along the way so surely you can expect grandchildren from that one.”
Scoffing at the demons comment, the man said, “Do you have children, Mr. Taisho?” Breathing heavily, Sesshomaru kept his eye contact and said, “Seven years ago I found a girl who was almost taken from this world and I nursed her back to health, and at first I could have cared less about her but after awhile I grew to love her like my own daughter.” Not even letting a blink slip, Robert asked, “How old is your adoptive daughter?” Thinking for a moment the demon said, “She will be fifteen next spring. We don’t know her birth date so she counts the day she came into my life as her birthday.”
Leaning forward in his chair, Mizutani asked, “So I take it you can understand why I am feeling the way I am about this whole situation.” Nodding the demon said, “If she were to do such a thing to me I would probably react the way you have. But, Seiya thought he was doing you a favor to keep such a thing from you.” Letting out a sad breath the man said, “I know his intentions were pure, but I just wonder what else he’s been hiding from me. But, now that I think about it a bit more he did do me a bit of a favor by hiding this from me. God, knows the feeding frenzy that would happen if he was found in one of those clubs that are always shut down for public indecency and the like.” Shaking his head, Sesshomaru said, “Seiya never goes to those places. He prefers a quiet evening with a book, a movie or just laying on the couch staring at the ceiling.”
Chuckling the man said, “He was always like that. He’d go out when he felt like it, but he did like a quiet evening at home with people he cares about and I can see that you have been healthy for him since this is the happiest I’ve seen him in years.” Keeping silent, Sesshomaru stared at the mans smile before saying, “Mizutani-san....about your son and I. There is something I must show you.” Arching an eyebrows, Roberts smile fautlered as he said, “What’s the problem with you? Granted you have those tattoos and long hair, but other than that you’re a very handsome young man.” Reaching across the desk, Sesshomaru asked, “Might I use this for a moment?” Watching the demons hand, Rober nodded shakily and said, “Of course, although I don’t know why you need it.”
Taking the letter opener, Sesshomaru set it on his lap and said, “Watch my hands and face closely.” Keeping focused on the mentioned parts, Robert gasped loudly as he saw Sesshomarus ears and ears lengthen to the their true form. Chuckling nervously, Robert said, “That is some trick you got there. What is it some sort of prosthetic used in the movies.” Shaking his head at the humans disbelief, Sesshomaru said, “Watch my hand very closely.” Watching Sesshomarus palm with such focus, Robert didn’t even notice that the demon had raised his right hand and jabbed it forward, spearing the delicate flesh. Screaming loudly he said, “What the fuck is wrong with you?!” Glaring at the human Sesshomaru bared his fangs and said, “Silence!!” In such a loud manner that the man didn’t even make a noise breathing.
Grasping the handle of the object, Sesshomaru slid it out with surgical like delicacy and smirked as he saw only a few drops of blood come from the gash. Putting the appendage on the table, Sesshomaru watched as Roberts eyes widened from the sight of the wound closing and whisper, “You’re a demon aren’t you?” Nodding, Sesshomaru said, “Yes, and my brother is a half breed. When you met him he was in his weakened stage which occurs each night of the new moon.” Shaking his head Robert asked, “What does this mean to Seiya.” Shaking his hand to relieve the slight discomfort of the healed wound, Sesshomaru said, “He doesn’t care. What he told you about how we met was true to an extent, but there are parts that you will learn about later. All you need to know is that now we are mates and he will live as long as I live and vice versa. He made the choice of his own free will. I told him when we started courting that he did not have to mate with me, and should he have chosen not to. I still would have stayed by his side to protect and love him.”
Robert remained silent as Sesshomaru explained this about his sons relationship to the demon. He had a brother who was an expert on demons and the occult and knew about how they mated. But now that his son was bound to one he had so many questions that needed answering. But, they wouldn’t come out since every time the man opened his mouth, small little grunts escaped and just when he finally got up the nerve to ask something, Michelle burst in holding to bags in her hands and shouted, “Get me to the hospital right now!”
