Chapter 3- Her Red Scarf - Confessions Under the Glow of the Great Tree

 

Walking Kagome looked up at the Great tree that towered above her and Inuyasha. The moon came into full view as they had accented the large staircase in front of the shrine. The shadows hid the leaves has she had walked closer to the bench under the tree. Kagome had recently installed lights around the property; it made the shrine seem to be alive as they flicked on. The great tree lay in the middle of the shrine, surrounded by various buildings and an alter for offerings to Buddha. The essence that people had left smoked into the sky making a ceiling to the great expanse that surrounded them. Above them the great tree was in bloom for the first time in over five hundred years, the blossoms littered the sidewalk and hid the bench under a carpet of pink. Inuyasha put his hand on Kagome's back and brought her to the bench to sit next to him.

 

“Its strange that the great tree is blooming and it is so cold.” She said looking over at Inuyasha.

 

“Yes, ” he said taking her hands to warm them. “ that is strange, but I have learned not to be surprised at the things that nature does just in awe. ”

 

Kagome looked at Inuyasha expectantly as he closed the distance between them “So ” She asked interrupting Inuyasha's line of actions. “You're a college professor?”

 

Inuyasha sighed and then pulled back toward his side of the bench taking her hand with him. “Yes ” He said looking down towards his shoes “ I am a professor of modern religion at the University of Tokyo, I teach Buddhism and Demonology.” Shifting his position closer to Kagome “My father always told me that I have a knack for it. I guess since I have recently got my doctorate so many students do just not take me seriously. …Feh… most of them seem to take my class just to stare at me or try and get with Miroku. So you said that you have studying to do which college do you go to?”

 

Pulling closer to edge of the bench she looked down at her feet. “Well see that is the thing…” she said shifting <How can I tell him, ok just come out and say it Kagome>she thought “The University of Tokyo ”she said crunching her eyes together.

 

“That is quite interesting, ” Inuyasha paused putting hand on his chin “ you would think that I would have seen you recently on campus.”

 

Kagome's mouth fell open in surprise “I am there only a little bit during the day,” she said thinking <There has got to be something against this a student and a professor> “with my shrine duties, training and my studies, I rarely have time to do much of anything. Sango is about the only friend that I have. We met my freshman year of college and she helps me often here around the shrine. ” She paused taking a breath “I don't know why I am tell you this, but tonight was actually the first night in a while that we have had time to just hangout.”

 

“Training? Are you trying to become a priestess?” Inuyasha asked with surprise

 

“Well, its nothing really, just trying to continue in the footsteps of my grandfather. After my parents died he started to train me and when he passed, since I was the relative he had left, I got the shrine and all the headaches that go with it. I honestly have thought about stopping my training and doing something else but my heart is just not in anything else besides this.” She said breathing “I love the shrine, it reminds me of the love my grandfather had for me when I am here. ” Kagome said.

 

“So why are you going to school?” Inuyasha asked.

 

“That's the funny thing, really, I wanted a degree and resources to help me with the shrine. So, I am a modern religion major, so I can get some extra help with learning and exploring being a priestess.” Kagome said.

 

A wind pushed through the great tree, causing a shower of flowers around Kagome and Inuyasha. The wind wrapped through Kagome's legs causing her to shiver. Inuyasha feeling her hands shaking pulled in closer to Kagome and took off his coat placing it around her shoulders.

 

“It is really cold tonight isn't it?” Kagome asked

 

“Yes, but it is nights like this that I love.” Inuyasha said looking at the moon through the thin lines of smoke. “Oh before I forget there is a internship, studying demons with me and some my other staff, it involves a lot of research and some field work, so if you are interested? You can come by my office tomorrow.” He said letting her hands go.

 

“I will have to check that out thanks. Its getting cold would you like to come in for some tea.” Kagome said getting up.

 

“Of course, I am actually getting cold myself” Inuyasha said following her.

 

Walking across the long expanse of sidewalk to the house a silence fell between Kagome and Inuyasha.

 

<Why do I feel such a connection to her. Its almost like we have been together before… I … I feel at peace when I am in her presence.. and her sent is so… > he said feeling his cock spring to life <I familiar… I want her.. Inuyasha could not take it anymore he gently grabbed her wrist and pushed her against the door. He looked down at her holding her keys in her hand with a look of ecstasy across her face.

 

“Inuyasha… I ..” she said as his lips crashed into hers. The kiss started off so soft very timid at first, while both were unsure of each other. Lips turning over on each other as they fought for dominance against one another. Kagome began first my parting her lips only a small bit and allowing Inuyasha's tongue to glaze her lips. Not wanting to submit Kagome forced her tongue forward into Inuyasha's mouth. Moving inward she began to duel his tongue, slide over his fangs, then there was a taste of blood, her blood.

 

Together her and Inuyasha started to share a vision. Inuyasha's demon began to rise charging the air between them in response Kagome began to glow white as Inuyasha moved closer to her. The night air grew heavy with light and electric energy.

In the vision he was on top of her, moving in and out in and out pounding into her harder and harder. She was so tight and so wet and she was his bitch. He was dominant over her and she was all his. “You know that I love only you I want you to take me. ” she said pulling her eyes closed and pushing her head side ways, granting access to her neck.

Kagome did not know what to do… there she was rubbing holding his mane in her hand as Inuyasha humped her against the back force of the door. She wanted him he had worked his hand up under her skirt and spread her legs around him. “Yes” Inuyasha said, “we need to--” that was it Kagome started to kiss him again. Eventually she became more dominant, Inuyasha's beast took over. It was clear what was going on, She wanted his beast to mark her. Kagome moved her head to the side and Inuyasha sank his fangs into her soft skin.

 

“ahh” Inuyasha heard from her lips. As he pulled back to face her, Kagome reached up to pull is bandana off showing his ears. He did not understand it, why did she do this; he neck was still bleeding as they took a moment to stare deep into each other's eyes. When he awoke from the vision of her gray eyes he moved her to the side, gently pulled back her collar on her shirt, stepping behind her he gently placed an arm around her belly and began to tend to her wound. The taste of her blood was sweet as he caused it to slow.

As she lay back against him she stroked his hand gently.

 

“I guess that the writings at the shrine where right, when the beast of a Dog demon, decides when it wants to mark someone it will not stop until the beast dominates the other person it wants.” Kagome said blankly

 

“Kagome are you ok? ” Inuyasha asked

 

“Yes I am ok,” she said reaching for her keys that hand fallen “Inuyasha come on in we need to talk about those visions, that I know you and I have both been having”

 

Turning the key she opened the door.
