Yup, yup… I had finally updated again, so sorry to have left everyone in a cliffy there :P. It is so much easier to write this story than my other Inuyasha story which is Sci-Fi…. Never in my life wrote Sci-Fic before… so I am having some difficulty in explaining my ideas… They are all in my head but writing them down in words is another problem… when it comes to space crafts… computers… guns ect… if anyone interested in Sci-fic… go check it out. Chapter 14: The Plot

"Take that you…" Kagome shouted aiming her purifying arrow at Naraku.

Naraku jumped away from it as it slashed passed his hand slightly. He cursed under his breath, as he transformed himself; growing bigger and tentacles spreading out towards everyone.

Inuyasha quickly grabbed Kagome as one came her way. Sango and Miroku jumped away swiftly when they saw his tentacles slashing out at them. Kirara grabbed Shippo with his mouth and flew into the air. However, Kouga jumped up hitting the tentacles with his leg destroying three at a time.

"Hey, dog breath!" He shouted then. "Trying to run away?"

"What the hell are you talking about?" Inuyasha shouted; putting Kagome down on safer place and unsheathed his sword. "Naraku, prepare yourself."

Naraku laughed evilly. "You think a mere Hayou will be able to defeat me?"

"Don't be too cocky!" Sango cried swinging her boomerang towards him slashing some of his tentacles away as it came back to her and she caught it swiftly again. "You will pay for what you had done to Kohaku!"

"You should thank me dear Sango…" Naraku said smiling. "I gave him life."

"To make him work for you," Sango sneered. "I rather you didn't at all!"

"Sango stay back!" Inuyasha cried as he swung his sword. "Kaze No Kitzu…!"

Before his sword aura could hit Naraku he had transformed himself into poisonous mists as he flew into the sky.

"Today, I will not fight you." His voice echoed in the sky as the purple mists gradually disappear. "I have something to attend to. I brought here to make sure you do not mess up my plan!"

"What the hell is he talking about?" Kouga asked watching the sky.

"I have no idea." Inuyasha replied.

Kagome watched the purple mist disappeared, feeling that something dreadful had happened. Naraku had brought them here on purpose and what is that purpose? He had said he doesn't want us to ruin his plan, which means that he had led them away from his initial arrangements.

"Inuyasha!" Kagome cried. "We have to go back!"

"What?"

"Back to where we came from!"

"Why?"

"I don't know, but I have a feeling that Naraku had some kind of plan to lead us out of there if not…"

Miroku frowned. "Well, if it is about Naraku I guess we should go…"

"Miroku is right," Sango said. "Let's not waste anymore time, it took us nearly the whole to come here!"

"Wakata!" Inuyasha replied as Kagome got up to his back.

Sakura opened her eyes to see a little boy putting a cold towel on her forehead. She sat up immediately startling him slightly. She looked around the surroundings and realized that she was in a very small and old hut. The last time she remembered she was slashed by Kagura's wind and she passed out.

"Where am I? And why am I doing here?" Sakura asked.

"You were brought here." The boy said softly.

"Were you brought here as well?" Sakura asked as she watched the boy with little freckles around his cheeks and nose and his hair tied into a high ponytail. He was wearing a type of sleek black costume and armed with a sword and small hooked kind weapon with chains.

"No, I am your guard…" The boy said shortly.

"Why are you doing this?" Sakura asked frowning slightly. "What is your name…?"

"Kohaku…"

"Look here Kohaku; I don't have time to play nice…" Sakura said standing on her feet. "I have a feeling that someone is trying to kill me, so I have to go, and if you try to stop me, I will tell you that I will put up with a fight."

Kohaku stood up slowly. "I am not here to fight you. I am here to make sure you don't escape. Someone is coming to do that…"

"Who?"

"I don't know; I wasn't given that kind of information." Kohaku said listlessly, he paused for a moment and looked towards the direction of the door for a second before he turned back to Sakura. "Besides, I think she is already here…"

Sakura turned towards the door then and slide it opened. She stood by the door flabbergasted when she saw, Xiaran accompanied by less than a hundred Youkais only a few feet from the hut. She turned to Kohaku who stood next to her looking straight in front of her emotionlessly. Swiftly, she pulled out the sword he had on his waist.

"I think I would need this…" Sakura said.

Kohaku just shrugged. "I hardly use it, besides I can always make another…"

With that he turned to leave.

Sesshoumaru found Rin unharmed not far from his palace though she was unconscious when he found her. He picked her arm in his arm and she stirred, slowly opening her eyes. When she realized Sesshoumaru was next to her, she smiled up happily at him.

"Sesshoumaru-sama!" Rin cried. "I was so scared…"

"What happened?"

"I'm not really sure, I was picking flowers as usual and someone came behind me and knocks me out…"

"Someone was in the palace?"

Rin nodded.

Sesshoumaru frowned then and flew up into the sky back to the palace, hoping nothing happened when he was away. It was seldom anyone could be able to enter the palace ground because there is shield everywhere to protect enemies from coming in. Except one place…

"Rin, where were you picking flowers?" Sesshoumaru asked.

"At the Abandon Garden…"

Sesshoumaru cursed inwardly, he had left Sakura at the most dangerous place as he sped up trying to get back as soon as possible. Instead of using the front entrance he flew straight towards the opened garden and saw something wasn't right immediately. He landed on his feet gracefully and put Rin down.

Reisha laid sprawl on the ground not far from the door towards the palace. A tiny black hole on the garden ground told Sesshoumaru that there had been a fight and his worst fears was he couldn't see Sakura anywhere.

"Reisha!" Rin cried running towards her.

Sesshoumaru looked around and sniffed the air slightly and realized Sakura wasn't in the palace at all. Only her lingering scent stayed in the garden and another he would sure rip her apart if he sees her; Kagura… he turned back to Reisha who was waking up then.

"On no!" The first thing she said when she got up. "Sakura! She had taken Sakura!"

"Reisha bring Rin into the palace, and make sure she stays indoors!" Sesshoumaru said as he took off into the sky again.

Sakura slowly got up to her feet, looking at Xiaran smirking at her. There were more than ten over Youkais that attacked her at a time, and Xiaran took the opportunity to strike at the same time too. She wasn't that quick and Xiaran had slashed her twice with her dagger one on her left arm and the other on her right leg and she missed once.

She winced slightly as she got up to her feet, Xiaran lashed out at her again then and quickly bloke her dagger with the sword she took from Kohaku.

"You won't last much longer, filth!" Xiaran sneered at her face.

"As if I would let you kill me so easily!" Sakura bite back; as she tried to bear with the pain on her left hand and right leg. With all her strength left she pushed Xiaran back.

What is this strange feeling? Kikyo thought as she walked slowly, approaching the strong spiritual force she had never felt before.

Sakura dodged away from a flying youkai coming her way, she slashed it to half when another approach her, at that time Xiaran strike at the same time aiming for her heart. Fortunately, Sakura moved away in time though not fast even as it stabbed into her right arm instead.

Sakura screamed as she dropped to the ground again. Blood was already flowing freely from the wounds she had making a big puddle around her. Xiaran came up to her slowly, with an evil smile on her face. She pulled Sakura up by her hair and moved her face closer to Sakura's.

"I told you that you will pay." She hissed as she raised the dagger.

Just then, an arrow came out of no where piercing Xiaran on her arm. Xiaran wailed; letting go of Sakura as the arrow was starting to purify her. Sakura dropped to the ground again and turned slightly to see who had shot the arrow and saw Kikyo standing by the forest her bow raised looking at Xiaran.

Sakura blinked watching Kikyo; she slowly lowered her bow and walked away then.

Must be one of Naraku's plans… Kikyo thought disgusted. But why kill this girl? And her spiritual force, why didn't I sense it was stronger before? Could it be because of her ignorance that was why her powers were hidden?

Sensing that Naraku was nearly, Kikyo made her way towards him.

Xiaran cursed under her breath as she pulled the arrow out her arm, burning her other hand in process. She turned towards where Kikyo stood before, but she was no longer there. She turned back to Sakura menacingly.

"To think that mere arrow can kill me?" Xiaran scorned grapping Sakura's hair again.

"And you think I would let you kill me?" Sakura whispered looking up at her.

Xiaran stalled for moment, thinking that she was dreaming, when there was a flicker of blue light in Sakura's eyes. She blinked and realized that it was flickering, as Sakura's eyes shone bright.

"What the…" Xiaran exclaimed letting her go.

Sakura dropped to the ground again, this time her body glow from the mysterious blue light.

Sesshoumaru soared down from the sky, when he sensed the strong spiritual force not far ahead. He had sensed it before, the first time when he had met Sakura. Knowing that she was in trouble he dashed to a clearing to see, Xiaran a feet away from Sakura and she laid sprawl on a puddle of blood glowing in a blue light. Before he could approach them; hundred of youkai which flew around nearby, started to attack him. Unsheathing his sword, he pointed it at them. In a second his sword aura wiped out the entire group as they were slashed into pieces dropping down the ground in a heap.

"Nani?" Naraku whispered. "This power… don't tell me it's…"

He narrowed his eyes looking at Sakura, watching the scene before him quietly. He never thought that there was one this century. It was said to be born again one thousand years after the first one died and it had only been five hundred years since then…

"Naraku…"

He turned around to face Kikyo pointing her bow and arrow at him.

"Kikyo…"

Sakura could feel her body becoming lighter all of a sudden, as her wounds didn't hurt anymore. Slowly looking up she saw Xiaran was backing away from her.

Sesshoumaru watched as Sakura rose to her feet as her whole body glow in the strange blue light. Her wounds were healing as she stared at Xiaran.

Xiaran who didn't want to give up; strikes again but she was thrown back at a force as she got closer than a few inches from Sakura. She flew back several feet and lay on her back, getting up slowly she looked at Sakura with anger and fear.

What kind of human filth is she? Xiaran wondered watching the weird blue light continued to glow around her. She is human, isn't she?

Slowly Xiaran got up and took out the shikon no tama that Naraku had given her. She attached it to her dagger then and raced towards Sakura again. Before she could even get to her, Sakura raised her sword and swing…

Sesshoumaru watched with his eyes wide as Sakura swung her sword, he could sensed the spiritual force from her body transferred to the sword as it slashed Xiaran even without having to touch her. Xiaran was thrown back again and the Shikon No Tama flew off her dagger. A Saimyousho flew by at that time, took it and flew off. Sesshoumaru narrowed his eyes, Naraku had sent Xiaran and she had agreed to work for him. He cursed, thinking how close Xiaran was to his family and now she had betrayed him. He could scent Naraku nearby, though he took no heed to it this time. He wanted to make sure Sakura was alright. He turned towards Sakura and saw her sank to the ground the blue light fading.

"No…" Xiaran whispered as she saw the Saimyousho taking the shard away. "I still need that…"

"Hadn't you done enough damage yet?"

Xiaran nearly jumped out of her skin when she heard Sesshoumaru's voice. She turned her head slightly to see him standing over her looking down at her with his cold golden eyes. She flinched when there wasn't only coldness but his eyes showed he could kill anytime.

"Sessy…"

"Stop calling me that!" He snapped.

"Please, let me explain…" Xiaran begged holding onto his feet. "Please…"

Naraku caught the shard that his Saimyousho had dropped, never taking his eyes off Kikyo.

"Answer me!" Kikyo cried. "What is your purpose to kill this girl?"

"I had changed my mind." Naraku smiled. "I no longer wish to kill her…"

With that, he changed into his purple mist and flew off.

Kikyo lowered her bow watching him disappeared into the clouds.

What is he up to now? She thought to herself before she made her way back to the village.

Sakura looked up slowly, to see Sesshoumaru pointing his sword at Xiaran. She tried to push herself up but her whole body felt very heavy suddenly as if all energy was drained from her. She lay on her front as she watched Sesshoumaru and Xiaran. Not able to hear the conversation she watched Sesshoumaru raised his Toikijin and her eyes widened, shaking her head. He was going to kill Xiaran!

"NOOOO!!!!!" Sakura cried with all the strength left in her.

Sesshoumaru turned towards Sakura when he heard her voice. He watched her still lying on the ground her head only slightly lifted up to look at him sadly. She shook her head slowly watching him. He frowned, not understand why. Xiaran had tried to kill her and she is helping her?

Not wanting see Sakura depress Sesshoumaru lowered his sword and turned back towards Xiaran icily.

"You have your life today." He said and walked away towards Sakura.

Sakura gave out a sigh of relieve when she saw Sesshoumaru putting his sword away and closed her eyes resting her head on her arm.

"Sessy, let me explain please…" Xiaran sobbed.

"I do not want to hear it." Sesshoumaru answered still walking away from her.

With all the dignity she could muster, Xiaran stood up and walked away into the forest never turning back as tears flow freely down her face. She knew that, if it was not for Sakura then, Sesshoumaru would have killed her. She couldn't believe she owe her life to a human being!

Sesshoumaru knelt down and picked Sakura up in his arm; looking worriedly down at her weary figure. Slowly, Sakura opened her eyes and looked up at Sesshoumaru with a small smile.

"You came…" Sakura whispered.

Sesshoumaru remained silent watching her. He was so glad that she was alright, that he didn't know what else to say. Not showing his feelings, he helped her up to her feet. He could see her legs slightly wobbly as she lean on him for support.

"Still a little tired after what had happened." Sakura said sheepishly looking up at Sesshoumaru who still held her steady with his arm. Sakura shook her head as she pushed his arm away gently. "I have to try to stand on my own."

"Can you tell me what exactly happened to you just now?"

Sakura had no idea what happened to her and was about to tell Sesshoumaru that; but before she could answer, they heard voices coming towards their direction behind Sesshoumaru from the forest. Sesshoumaru frowned slightly when he recognized that smell. That was the last thing he needed now.

"Sesshoumaru!" Inuyasha shouted running into the clearing with his group.

Sakura poked her head out from around Sesshoumaru's arm to see who had came; silver hair with doggy ears and wearing a red haori was what she saw first. Red? Why does that red outfit looked familiar… then four others came running out the forest one of them Sakura could remember as Kouga and Sakura dropped onto Sesshoumaru then when her eyes fell on Kagome, her legs unable to support her no longer. Sesshoumaru turned back towards Sakura then. She was leaning on him, her eyes widened with shock, as her whole body started to shake slightly. Narrowing his eyes he turned back towards Inuyasha to see, the human girl in weird green clothes that follow Inuyasha walked up slightly standing in front of Inuyasha staring back at Sakura.

When Kagome appeared out the clearing she was stunned beyond words when she saw Sakura standing close by Sesshoumaru looking as pale as a ghost as she stared back at her. Raising her hand up slowly to her mouth she walked slowly towards her.

"Sakura…" She whispered.

"Kagome…" Sakura whispered then, tears welling up her eyes.

Sesshoumaru turned back to Sakura flabbergasted though not showing it. This was the cousin she had been talking about? He was even more surprised when he saw tears, in Sakura's eyes. This girl who had refused to cry was crying now.

"SAKURA!!!!!" Kagome shouted then running towards her, not caring if Sesshoumaru was going to tear her head off her shoulders if she goes any closer.

"KAGOME!!!!" Sakura yelled almost at the same time breaking free from Sesshoumaru running towards her cousin she had wished to see for almost weeks now.

"Kagome, it will be dangerous!" Sango cried running towards her but stopped when she saw Sesshoumaru didn't move to do anything as he stood there expressionlessly watching the two girls running towards each other.

Even Sesshoumaru was careful not show any emotions, he could feel his heart wilt as he watched Sakura running away from him. This would mean that Sakura had chosen to go home instead of staying with him. If only he would have taken her away from here as soon as possible so that she wouldn't be able to see her cousin again, but then again. He knew that Sakura wouldn't be truly happy to be forced to stay with him. He wanted her to choose and be happy with her decision.

Kagome and Sakura embraced each other crying.

"I was so scared; I thought I wasn't able to see you again!" Sakura cried. "I want to go home so much!"

"I thought I lost you too!" Kagome sobbed. "Everyone was so worried about you! Mama, Ojiisan, Souta was always asking about you. I had been looking all over for you!"

Sesshoumaru walked over to them slowly watching both sobbing girls as if a knife had stabbed through his heart though he guarded his expression carefully. Inuyasha saw Sesshoumaru moving closer to the girls he dashed forward unsheathing his tetsaiga and pointed it out at Sesshoumaru.

"Stay back!" He yelled.

Sesshoumaru ignored him and proceed to come closer.

"I'm warning you Sesshoumaru!" Inuyasha shouted again.

Sakura wiped her tears quickly turning around in surprised to see the youkai with doggy ears pointing his sword at Sesshoumaru. She then realized, a girl with raven hair and a sleek black outfit and huge boomerang had run up to her side and the other side stood a monk. Kouga stood not far behind Kagome with his hands on his hips.

"What is going on?" Sakura asked bewildered.

"Don't worry Sakura," Kagome said frowning at Sesshoumaru as she pulled Sakura away from his view. "Sesshoumaru will never hurt you again!"

"What?" Sakura blinked watching Kagome's group of friends guarding her throwing livid glares at him. "What are you all talking about? Sesshoumaru-sama never hurt me before! He had been protecting me all this time!"

"What?" Inuyasha turned around to look at Sakura as if she had spoken an alien language.

Sakura broke away from Kagome's hold and ran to stand in front of Sesshoumaru blocking him from the tetsaiga frowning slightly.

"I said Sesshoumaru-sama had been protecting me all this time!" Sakura repeated heatedly. "Do you mind, please put down your sword?"

Inuyasha lowered his sword slowly and looking at her bewilderedly.

"Sakura, get away from there!" Kagome said her voice quivering slightly. She could not forget the times when Sesshoumaru had tried to kill her.

"Kagome let Sesshoumaru say what he has to say…" Inuyasha said as he put his sword away. He could sense that Sesshoumaru had no intentions to do anything.

"But…" Kagome begin to protest but stopped when she saw Sakura giving her a pleading look.

There was a short paused before Sakura turned around and looked up at Sesshoumaru with a small smile.

"Arigatou for taking care of me, all this time." Sakura said.

"So you are leaving…?" Sesshoumaru asked softly.

"I…" Sakura didn't know what to say. The truth was she didn't want to go, but she had to go back. She didn't belong here. The feeling having to part with Sesshoumaru was hard to bear she turned away from him.

"There is someone I think you should speak with." Sesshoumaru said when Sakura failed to answer him. Though he was slightly glad because he knew Sakura hadn't come with an answer yet. "She will be very upset if you leave without telling her."

"Rin…" Sakura whispered. She quirked her eyebrows slightly and took a deep breath. "I guess I should at least explain to her."

Sakura turned back to her cousin then.

"Sakura, it is time I bring you home!" Kagome said.

"There is something I have to do first." Sakura said firmly. "I'll be back."

"I am not letting you go with Sesshoumaru again!" Kagome protested.

"Even if you don't trust him whatever your reasons are but, please…" Sakura begged. "Trust me! There is something I have to do before I leave with you."

Kagome wilted slightly. "We will wait for you here…"

"Go back to Inuyasha Forest." Sesshoumaru ordered. "I will bring her back there."

"We will be at Kaede's," Inuyasha said. "If you know where it is."

"I will find it." Sesshoumaru said shortly and encircled his arm around Sakura and lift off the ground.

They watched them flew off towards the sky and disappeared.

"Can we trust him?" Miroku asked wonderingly.

"After all he had tried to kill you so many times Inuyasha." Sango said softly putting a comfortable hand on Kagome's shoulders.

"Sesshoumaru may be heartless, but he never goes back against his words." Inuyasha said. "If he said that he will bring Sakura back, he will do exactly that. Let's go back to Kaede's and wait for him Kagome. Don't worry; I have a feeling Sakura is telling the truth because if not, she wouldn't have survived until now."

Nodded softly, Kagome followed the rest of her group back to Kaede's.

Inuyasha: Some rest at last!

Ray: (Groan slightly to see the whole bunch returned but stood up to greet them.)

Kagome: Sakura still isn't home yet; I can't rest until she does.

Ray: Don't worry she wi…. AAUGHHHH!!!! (Someone touched her butt)

Miroku was then awarded by Ray's hard cover thick Oxford Dictionary slamming down on his head.

Ray: How many times I must tell you never to touch my butt!!!! (Withdrew the Dictionary from his head)

Miroku: You were standing there with your butt facing me.

Ray: So? Did it say `Please touch me'? It didn't right? Stand over there please! Don't want you to come near me.

Kirara: Meow!!!!

Sango: If he ever does that again I will never talk to him ever again!

Ray: (Sigh) Like he will change… (Turned around and saw Inuyasha typing on her laptop) INUYASHA WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU DOING?

Inuyasha: Just putting more of me inside the story…

Ray: You can't…

Kagome: Inuyasha…

Inuyasha: (Sweat drop)

Kagome: Osuawri…

Ray: (Grabbed her laptop away before Inuyasha crashed down on the desk breaking it into half) That was a close call…
