Chapter 4: ONLY A MONTH?!
Kagome turned swiftly around, finding Sesshoumaru standing right behind her! She jumped, and froze in fear.
"Do not fear me, for I must repay you for healing me." Sesshoumaru replied in his stoic voice, staring straight into her face. Sesshoumaru suddenly appeared infront of Kagome, making her tense even more, if that is possible. "You are wise, powerful, and beautiful, everything I have been needing in a mate,and other lords of this land have been wanting me to find a one."
"...I-" Kagome started, but was interupted by Inuyasha jumping infront of Kagome and pulling out Tetsusaiga.
"You can't take Kagome!!" Inuyasha yelled, looking mad as hell.
"You have not claimed her, and I must repay her." Sesshoumaru replied, glaring at Inuyasha.
"How do you know she wants to be your mate?!" Inuyasha asked, glaring in return to Sesshoumaru.
"Who wouldn't want to be the mate of the powerful Demon Lord of the West?" Sesshoumaru asked, looking towards Kagome.
"How 'bout you ask her?" Inuyasha said, also turning towards Kagome.
"...." Kagome just stood there, staring at the brothers in shock and frustration. 'Woah, I feel dizzy...' was Kagome's last thought before she promtly passed out on the ground.

Kagome was running through the forest. 'Why am I running?' she thought, stopping for breath. Kagome looked around, and noticed that she was in an ancient Japanese palace. 'How did I get here?' she thought, walking around, looking for someone to tell her why she was there. As she was wondering around, she found a man walking towards her, she couldn't see what he looked like, so she started to aproach him. "Hello? Do you know where I am? Why I'm here?" Kagome asked desperately. Then the not so unfamiliar stranger turned his face up, recognition shining in her eyes, then fear.
"Hello, Kagome. Welcome to my Palace. Have you been comfortable?" The man asked, as Kagome started backing up slowly.
"You!!" Kagome yelled, pointing at his face.
"Yes, Kagome, it is as you see." The man replied, aproaching her slowly, as she backed away further. "I need you Kagome. You must meet me somewhere soon, so that I may use your powers to my advantage." The man told her, looking at her in what Kagome thought looked like hunger. For what, she didn't know. "Oh, I guess your waking up now, to bad. I wanted to play with you a little while longer." He said disapointedly.
"You will never get me Naraku!" Kagome yelled, waking up to two pairs of golden eyes.

"Kagome! Kagome!" Inuyasha yelled at her face, trying to wake her up.
"Do not yell, I do not wish for her to be in a bad mood this day." Sesshoumaru demanded, glaring at Inuyasha. As Inuyasha was about to reply, Kagome suddenly started screaming, sitting up with her eyes wide, sweating.
"What is wrong?" Sesshoumaru moved to Kagome's side, much to Inuyasha's displeasure, and held her in his arms.
"Wa...?" Kagome said, looking around her in confusion, then remembering her dream, she dove into the chest behind her, not caring who it was. "It was so horrible! I was wandering around this palace, and I ran into Naraku! He was staring at me, and saying that he wished to use my power to increase his own! I was so scared!" Kagome cried into Sesshoumaru's chest, as he held her, not really used to having to comfort someone.
"It was just a dream." He said, and Kagome jerked her head up, staring into Sesshoumaru's face in shock.
"..." Kagome was finally able to get over her stupor and replied, "I know..." Kagome said, not truly believing it.
"I wish to talk to you...in private." Sesshoumaru said, glancing out of the corner of his eye at Inuyasha.
"I am not leaving her alone with YOU!!!" Inuyasha yelled, causing Sesshoumaru to flinch.
"Inuyasha, I'll be fine. It will only take a little while." Kagome said, trying to remain calm, considering Sesshoumaru hadn't let go of her.
"...Fine, but if anything happens Sesshoumaru, I will personally kill you." Inuyasha said, walking out of the bedroom and down the hall. There was an awkward silence, until Kagome decided to break it.
"So..what were the questions you wanted to ask me?" Kagome asked, looking up at Sesshoumaru expectedly.
"Do you truly wish to stay and be my mate?" Sesshoumaru asked, staring into Kagome's eyes.
"Umm...well.." Kagome stuttered, trying to remain calm. 'Marriage..and I'm not even 17 yet..' Kagome thought to herself. "I..need time to decide." Kagome answered, deciding to at least give him a chance.
"And how long do you wish to wait?" Sesshoumaru asked, looking out the window.
"Um..a few months, I guess..." Kagome replied, trying not to make it to long of a wait for him.
"Tonight is the full moon." Sesshoumaru started." At the next full moon, you may make a decision." He said, already thinking of ways to woe her.
"Um..ok..sure." Kagome said, looking up, just to be kissed full on the lips by Sesshoumaru. 'OHMYGOD! OHMYGOD! OHMYGOD!' Kagome thought, 'Sesshoumaru, the Lord of the West Sesshoumaru, is kissing me...a human!' Kagome thought in shock. Sesshoumaru broke the kiss, and looked down at her face.
"You will be spending your time with me until your decision." Sesshoumaru replied, walking towards the door.
"Um..." Kagome thought, wondering when the last time she ate was...
"Yes, Kagome?" Sesshoumaru asked, looking over his shoulder at her.
"May I...have something to eat?" Kagome asked, blushing as her stomach rumbled. Sesshoumaru chuckled slightly, turning fully towards her.
"I will show you to the dining area." Sesshoumaru told her, Kagome taking his hand and attempting to drag him down the hall.
"You shouldn't be dragging a high demon lord as myself around his own palace." Sesshoumaru stated, as Kagome dropped his hand, apologizing. Suddenly, a flash color went by Sesshoumaru and hugged Kagome's leg.
"Hello! I am Rin! Who are you? Are you Rin's new caretaker?" then Rin suddenly gasped. "Maybe your even my new Okaa-san!" Rin yelled.
"Uh.." Kagome blurted out nervously, then calmed and leaned down.
"Hello, I am Kagome. I will be staying here for awhile." Kagome told Rin, and smiling brightly to the young girl.
"You are very nice! Do you want to pick flowers with me?" Rin asked, about to grab Kagome's hand and drag her to the gardens, when Sesshoumaru cut in.
"Kagome is going to eat. Then you may do as you wish. Kagome, I will be sharing this meal with you." Sesshoumaru said, wrapping his one arm around her waist, walking with her to the dining area.
'This is going to be the longest month of my life..' Kagome thought, walking with Sesshoumaru through his palace.
