Chapter 8:
Kagome couldn't move. She couldn't even think. There was Sesshoumaru. In his bed....with another WOMAN! She sat and stared, believing it wasn't real. 'Sesshoumaru would never do this to me. I know he wouldn't! He wouldn't!' Kagome thought over and over. No matter how long she stared, it never went away. Soon enough, reality set in, and she ran from the room in tears. 'Sesshoumaru never loved me! He never cared! He was only doing this for that stupid DEBT!' Kagome didn't stop running, not until she got to the entrance of Sesshoumaru's palace. She stopped for a moment to catch her breath, thinking that she wasn't being followed.
"Kagome? What are you doing out this time of night?" Hiro asked, coming up behind her.
"I'm leaving," Kagome responded, starting to pry open the large doors.
"Why are you leaving?" Hiro asked, panicing. He wasn't sure if it was his duty to keep her here, or...he didn't know!
"Sesshoumaru doesn't want me! He never did!" Kagome started, yelling and crying all at once. "He said he wanted me to stay! I told him I would to! All I am is just some...whore of his!" Kagome now collapsed to the floor, unable to open the doors.
"Lord Sesshoumaru loves you Kagome. You can see it in his eyes," Hiro said, trying to console her.
"Oh, really? Then why is he upstairs in his bed chambers with that other woman?!" Kagome screamed into his face, soon regreting it.
"I'm sorry Hiro, I'm not mad at you...I have to go. Now." Kagome said, trying again to open the doors. She finally pried open the doors, and dashed through the front courtyard, passed guards.
"Kagome!! Come back! What you saw is not true!" Hiro yelled, trying to go after her. When he tried to pass the guards, they had blocked his path.
"You are not allowed to leave the castle. Return to your post." The guard told him, looking back out towards the open plains.
"Please! Let me pass! She will be devoured by demons!" Hiro desperately yelled to them, trying to get passed again.
"You are not allowed to leave the castle without the permission of the Lord."
"That's the problem! Kagome thinks that our Lord has betrayed her loyalty! He isn't even here!" Hiro yelled again, finally getting passed the guards, and running from the castle.

Kagome had been running for at least 2 hours straight. That's all she new, considering she could no longer feel her legs. Not to long after, Kagome collapsed onto the forest floor. She scrunched up into a ball and cried, not paying attention to her surroundings. 'I will never love again.' Kagome thought to herself, sobbing. 'I want to die. I don't care who does it, as long as it happens now.' Kagome soon came up with an idea. She ran into the thick bushes, purposely making lots of noise. 'This will cause the demons to come to me.' She kept going, making the noise even louder as she got impatient. Soon enough....her idea worked.
"Girl! You will not sssseee the light again!" A snake demon yelled, slithering towards her. Kagome just stood there, awaiting her fate. 'This is it. I wont fight back.' She thought, holding as still as possible.
"It is no fun if your not screaming in fear!" He yelled, snapping at her.
"If I scream, help will come to my aid," Kagome told him, tears streaming down her face.
"Scream if you want to die a faster death!" The demon yelled, lunging towards her. Kagome couldn't help herself, so, she started screaming.
"Kagome!"
"What?!" Kagome looked to the side, seeing Sesshoumaru standing there in all his glory. "Leave me alone! Go back to your woman!" Before anything else was said, Kagome sceamed in agony, as the snake bit into her leg, ripping her flesh off of the bone. Sesshoumaru moved to attack the snake demon, but ran into a barrier.
"I wont allow you to try to help me! I want to die! No one will stop me!" Kagome yelled at him, sobbing and crying out in pain again as she had her hip torn open, poison seeping into her blood.
"Why are you so sad? Why do you want to die?" Sesshoumaru asked, beginning to panic.
"Why do you think? You! First it was Inuyasha! He never loved me! I was the shadow of the love he had for Kikyo!" Kagome started, sobbing. "Then you!" Sesshoumaru flinched at that. "You go and betray our bond!"
"What are you talking about? I got back only a moment ago from the Northern Territory." Sesshoumaru said, looking at her with a desperate look in his eyes.
"That.." Kagome started, having a hard time breathing, "can't be...true..." Kagome collapsed onto the ground, the barrier dropping. Sesshoumaru ran to her side, slashing the demon in half with his acid whip.
"Kagome, you are badly injured, you need medical attention." Sesshoumaru said, trying to pick her up.
"No! I wont go back!" Kagome started struggling, making her body loose blood faster. Sesshoumaru laid her down on the ground, then pulled out his Tenseiga.
"This is the only way to heal your wounds."
"Not he wounds in my heart.." Kagome said, right before he swung the sword upon her, healing her wounds and restoring her flesh.
"My sword can not heal wounds of the heart...but being loved by your mate can put the pieces back together." Sesshoumaru said, thinking that she couldn't hear him.

theres the chapter! this one is kinda depressing..but..im in a depressed mood...soo..yaa...i hope you werent expecting something happy-go-cheerful. you probly wont for awhile..but dont worry! itll get better! i promise!
