[ P - Pre-Teen ]

****Chapter 7- Breathe, Shippo, Breathe*****

Kagome came in and saw Shippo under the kitchen table lifeless almost. Kagome screamed and went to check if he was all right. She started to tremble with worry, she didn't know what to do! Her mom had left an hour ago to do some shopping. "Oh, no! Shippo!" She sat by him and did a regular check up blood pressure…. Fine…. Pulse…Weak…Breathing…he's not breathing!

"Everyone, move away!" she yelled. Kagome then ripped off his shirt in one yank. She then started compressions, and the others watched in silence. "Kagome what are you doing?" Miroku asked almost as if it were disgusting. "I'm helping him breathe!" She said as she started breathing in his mouth once again. "1…2…3…breathe!" she started CPR again. (I have no idea what you do to shock victims sorry! >.<) "Why are you helping him breathe?" Miroku asked stupidly. She almost fell over at the comment, but luckily didn't. `What is wrong with him? I thought he was smart enough to figure this out! Why can't he just understand?' Kagome thought to herself. "I'm helping…huff….him breathe because…. If he isn't breathing…huff huff…he'll die!" she finally spat out, turning red in the face from doing CPR. She turned and pointed at the closet, and said to Inuyasha, "Inuyasha, go get a blanket from the closet for Shippo, and wrap it around him!" she ordered. He got up went to the closet and fetched a blanket, when he got there, a gasp came from Shippo and his eyes flung open. Kagome stopped CPR, and flung her arms around him and started to cry. Inuyasha pulled Kagome away a little so he could wrap the blanket around the kit.

"Let's not go out tonight. Sango will you make some ramen on the oven?" Inuyasha asked. She nodded and Kagome took and the kit who had fallen asleep and carried him up the stairs. Miroku and Sango looked as she picked him up and carried him away, they hoped that both of them would be ok. Sango got up and headed toward the kitchen and started to make the ramen, Miroku went and helped her.

When Kagome got to her room she tucked Shippo under the covers, so if he woke up he would be warm. She then sat back on her wheely chair and watched him for and change.

-Meanwhile-

Downstairs, Inuyasha had yet to stop watching the stairs, to see if Kagome would come down the stairs with Shippo in his arms and they would both be smiling. To his disappointment they didn't come down at all.

Sango called for him and told him that the ramen was ready. He came over and sat at the table, they ate in silence. Sango had also made ramen for both Kagome and Shippo just incase they wanted some. Sango was going to take the ramen to Kagome, but Inuyasha beat her to it. It was probably better that he did it than her. She turned back to the table with Miroku and finished their meals in silence, worrying over their friends.

Inuyasha made his way up the stairs with the ramen at hand. When he reached Kagome's room and looked at Kagome draped over Shippo like a worry stricken mother. He smiled at her and put the ramen on the table in her room and sat by her. He recognized this face, she looked like his mom when he was sick those few times, his mom was grief-stricken and extremely tired. That's what Kagome looked like, a caring mom.

He patted her shoulder a couple times, but she didn't look up at him, she didn't move one bit. He looked at her hands, she was holding Shippo's hands and had her head laying next to his on the bed. He broke the silence, "Kagome, I brought some ramen for you and Shippo just incase you were hungry." He looked at her for a moment, then she finally looked up at him, like she hadn't even heard him. She was looking at him confused though, "Kagome, Are you" he was cut off when she interrupted, "I'm not hungry." After that there was complete silence, no one dared to break it though.

Inuyasha was getting uncomfortable when no one was talking, so he broke it, "Kagome" he was cut off yet again by Kagome running into his arms, and they embraced each other, she started to cry her eyes out. "I' was so scared, I wasn't watching! It's all my fault! I was so scared, I was so scared…" she started to mumble to herself and half into Inuyasha's chest. He rubbed circles into her back to soothe her crying, when she finally did she fell asleep in his arms. He smiled at her, she would make a great mom someday, she had got an early start when Shippo came along. Inuyasha had so much respect for Kagome know. After his thoughts, he fell asleep, with Kagome in his arms, peacefully.
