When Inuyasha and Kagome entered the hall (he carrying the suitcases and she reminding him every five minutes to be careful with her things) Miroku and Sango were sitting together on the stairs. Sango had her head on his arms and appeared to be asleep; Miroku was reading something in his notebook. He lifted a finger to his lips as Kagome and Inuyasha approached and whispered furiously:
- Damn you two, were the hell have you been all this time?!
- Hey, it's not my fault she needed so much time to pack her bags with bricks, - grumbled Inuyasha and wanted to continue, but the monk stopped him.
- There here.
- Who? - asked Kagome and Inuyasha in chorus.
Sango's eyelids fluttered open as she had heard them. She smiled slowly, her clear dark eyes focusing on their faces, and said: "The delegation from Russia… Jeez, do you even understand how much strength it cost us to persuade them not leave just because you Inuyasha weren't here to great them personally?!"
- Yep, it's was a real pain, - added Miroku. - Remind me to get my revenge for that one day.
Inuyasha was scratching his ear in a thoughtful manner.
- Where are they now? - he asked.
- After all we did - still here of course! In the main dining room right now, to be exact.
- And what did you do? - asked Kagome, who didn't understand the whole thing, but was getting curious.
- I dance a belly dance and Miroku sang "I'm a little teapot" - Sango replied, raised to her feet and stared at Kagome. - So, how did your Mom react when you returned?
Kagome laughed.
- I'll tell you later.
Inuyasha was chewing the side of his lip thoughtfully
- Well, I guess I'll go to them now, - he said with finality.
- Ye, that's what I call being a hero, - Miroku shrugged and stood up. - I'm coming with ya… just for moral support.
- And I want to know what's going on around here, - demanded Kagome. - Come on, it's impolite to make your guests wait… who ever they might be…
She put her hand on Inuyasha's, drawing him away. Sango and Miroku exchanged glances and followed them out of the room.

The dining room was lightened with gold afternoon light, streaming through the large windows. Standing by one of them there was a young black-haired woman in a dark-blue gown. She stood perfectly positioned so that the light made her long hair glow, turning it to fiery.
She turned to them and a thin smile appeared on her face.
- Inuyasha, - she said in a silky voice. - Privetstvuyu tebja.
The silverhaired demon blinked in disbelief, and for a moment looked surprised - Kagome realized that somehow he wasn't expecting to see this woman and the thought about it made her nervous.
- Kikyo, - he said slowly, and then more swiftly, - Hello, Kikyo.
The woman went towards him.
- Is that all you can say, Inuyasha? - she asked with a little smile on her face. - Oh, so surprised to see me? I'm flattered.
- So am I, - replied Inuyasha, his eyes narrowed.
Kikyo slightly turned her head.
- And my companions…
Four men in dark suits rose from the table with the same foreign greeting: "Zdravstvuite".
Before Inuyasha could reply, Kikyo's attention turned to Miroku, as she eyed him and the two girls.
- Why Miroku, - she drawled. - Some people never change… at least in their ways…
- Um, hello, Kikyo, - said the monk tightly, partly because Sango just stepped on his foot. - Meet Kagome and Sango, they're… erm…
- We're on official business, - Kagome helped him out.
Kikyo smiled at her, but this smile did not transfer to her eyes - they remained cold like snake's eyes.
- Well, so am I, - she said sweetly. - Isn't that fascinating, Inuyasha, us working together again… who would have thought that would be possible.
- Fascinating, - said Inuyasha with great insincerity, but fortunately Kikyo turned to her companions again.
- Roeni, get the papers ready, - she ordered. - Inuyasha, some projects need immediate discussion. I suggest we get to business right away.
He nodded.
- Miroku, do you have the files?
- Everything right here, - the monk patted his notebook.
- Good… Kikyo, will you excuse me for a moment?
She shrugged her shoulders.
- Sure.
Inuyasha looked over at Kagome, who was busy whispering something to Sango and pulled her by the sleeve, taking a few steps back.
- Kagome, are you bored? - he asked suddenly in a quiet voice.
She looked at him, a bit bewildered.
- What? I mean, why do you ask?
- Because I think you are… Look, you don't have to spend all the time in here… why don't you and Sango go to some night club… like for example the "Wild Wine"?
- Inuyasha, but that's the biggest one in town! Why there?
- Because it belongs to me, - he said with a half-smile. - And I will be sure that you are safe… and not bored. Just find Kemuri and tell him to take you there.
- Oh… and you?
He brushed her thick black hair out of her eyes with his left hand.
- Maybe I'll join you… later…
- Is that a promise?
Instead of answering he kissed her silky cheek and she accepted the kiss graciously, then grabed Sango by the hand and dragged her out of the room,
- Hey, what are ya doing? - Sango asked, as they were in the corridor. - Why didn't we stay?
Kagome pulled her friend further away from the room, then whispered two words in her ear.
- What?! Oh no. Not true. Not true. Can't be true.
- Uh-huh, uh-huh, uh-huh.
- Say it again!
- We're going to the coolest hotest night spot in the whole town!!!
Kagome and Sango were looking at each other for a moment, then shouted like mad: "A-a-a-a-a-a-a-a!!!"

The girls have just left there rooms, dressed for the party, just to find that the little demon was waiting for them in the corridor.
- Hey, Kemuri! And we were just going to go look for you! - exclaimed Sango, trying to pat the cute demon's furry ears. He gave the slip and grumbled: "Don't human, you'll ruin my hair-do… Hrm! There is someone waiting for you in the hall".
- Who?!
- Another human, that's all I can say… you're all on the same face for me.
They laughed.
- Kemuri, Inuyasha said you should take us to "Wild Wine", - informed him Sango.
He bowed.
- The master says, I obey… The car will be ready in twenty minutes near the main gates.
The girls hurried off to the hall, chatting on the way. Sango was explaining to her friend the whole thing about Inuyasha'a guests.
- It's his business, I guess, - said Kagome finally and added. - But frankly speaking something about that Kikyo gave me the creeps.
- I had the same feeling, - agreed Sango. - I think Inuyasha and Miroku know her, at least it seems so.
- Ye, those hints she was making… Ugh, I hope she doesn't stay here for long.
Sango started giggling.
- Like you said honey - it's official business. This might take a while.
They came down the stairs and saw a fragile girl, standing in the middle of the hall, smiling at them brightly.
- Rin!!!!
