Okay, until I get some more ideas for this chapter, I just revised it. I'll probably add more in a couple days. I had to add this though, from the way I am revising things, if I don't update some chapters along with the new ones, it will confuse some people.

Enjoy!

Kagome leaned casually against the cool surface of the wall, patiently waiting for her two friends to arrive.

She watched the chattering students pass her by, every now and then a boy giving her an appreciative look. Kagome just pretended she didn't see it. She wasn't really one to be interested in boys; they were too much trouble…

“Hey Kagome!”

She waved to the small group of girls that greeted her, Ayumi, Eri, and Yuka. They had been childhood friends, and spent some time together over the summer. Nice girls, but she was much more at home with Sango, Shippo and Miroku.

“Oi, Sango!” Miroku cried (`speak of the devils…' Kagome thought.), “I was merely attempting to show those poor girls around our rather large learning facility!”

Sango stomped her way down to her friend's side, a frown plastered on her face. Miroku wasn't giving up on his excuses, rattling off new ones every second.

“S-Sango?” he sputtered, looking almost sheepish.

“SHUT UP LECH!” she finally exploded, snatching up Kagome's wrist and dragging her into the girl's bathroom. Kagome blinked, confused by Sango's sudden temper.

She opened her mouth to say something, but was cut off. “So what do you have?”

Kagome fumbled with her book bag to pull out her class schedule. She glanced over the paper and then handed it to her friend, who in exchange handed Kagome her own.

Sango sighed. “Looks like we both have gym with the Lech.”

Kagome couldn't help but smile. “At least it's a class together.”

Her friend nodded, and walked over to the long mirror in the corner. She checked herself once over, brushing the wrinkles out of her black pants and straightening her pink silk tamarind top, and tightening her pony tail. She looked beautiful, as always.

“Ready?” Kagome asked, taking a peak at herself in the mirror as she stood behind Sango.

“Yep, let's go face Miroku again.”

Outside the bathroom, Miroku stood at the lockers rubbing his sore cheekbone.

“Scorned once again!” he whimpered, eyes floated over to his female companions. He couldn't help but grin at them. “Hello my lovely frie-”

Before another stupid remark could leave his lips, Kagome cut him off. “What classes did you get?”

Miroku passed, reached into his jean pockets and pulled out a crumpled peace of paper. He scanned it over quickly, and then presented it for Kagome to examine.

“I have gym with Sango.” He stated proudly, a smug grin on his face. Sango only rolled her eyes.

“She does too…lucky us.” She stated, nodding at Kagome.

“Awe Sango, he isn't that bad!” Kagome insisted, grazing over the schedule. She smiled happily and handed the paper back to her friend. “We have biology 2 together!”

“I must be the luckiest guy on Earth, having classes with such beautiful women!” Miroku slid an arm around Sango's shoulders, smiling all the way. She stomped her heel into his foot, and was quite content with her self when he let out a screech and started limping away.

“I'm going to class…” he whimpered, picking his things off the floor.

Sango began to follow and Kagome rolled her eyes at her friend. She decided she'd never understand those two. It was so obvious that they cared for one another; they were both just too stubborn to see it.

“Later Kag!” Sango called over her shoulder.

“See yah, guys!”

They once again headed off in separate directions, and Kagome turned to make her way down Hall B, where the lunch room was.

Her eyes couldn't help but wonder around her school, which almost seemed like a totally different place. She just could not get over how much it had change. She knew they were doing some construction on it over the summer, and that school had started two weeks later than scheduled because of it.

Not that she minded or anything. But it wasn't just like their school was in bad shape in the first place, and it made her wonder where all this sudden money came from?

One thing was for sure, Kagome couldn't wait to check out the library in her friend period. She normally spent almost all her free time there, and this year would be no exception. She was excited to think that maybe they had updated it, new books and all.
The thought made her almost giddy, and she happily quickened her pace down the halls.

She passed through the cafeteria on her way to her first class. It was filled with a few students here and there, a few couples engrossed in each other and some of the more popular students snapping continuous digital pictures of themselves.

The raven haired girl turned her head at the sound of giggles, and sighed. Sometimes people really disgusted her. “How could you just spend all your time…” Kagome started, but was interrupted by a brick wall.

“OW!” she hissed as she was forced on her butt by the collision. “-should' a watched where I was go-”

“Damn right you should have!” snapped a loud, masculine voice. Kagome's eyes widened. It hadn't been a brick wall she ran into, but a person…!

“Oh my gosh! I am so sorry!” she apologized quickly, repeatedly bowing her head, ashamed.

`Way to go, Higurashi!' she chided to herself, red staining her cheeks.

“Oh my god! Those Gucci boots are like, amazing!” A girl across the room practically screamed.

Kagome turned her attention in the girls' direction, distracted. There were 4 of them, chattering wildly and practically have a spasm over, what looked to Kagome, like white winter boots and fake rabbit fur around the tops..

“ OOOOOOOOOOOH MY GAAAAAAWD!” they all screeched again.

She cringed at the sound of the high pitch voice. Exasperated, Kagome began to lift herself off the ground. Without even paying any attention to the boy in front of her, she whipped the dirt off her jeans.

Until that same girl dropped down the volume of her voice, but it was still audible to Kagome. She was bouncing up and down frantically, and pointing across the room.

“Look at him! Look at him! HE'S GORGOES!” she chipped to her friends, looking foolish.

Kagome's eyes followed in the direction the girl pointed, mortified to realize she was bent over in a very…awkward position in front of the boy.

She blinked and instantly stood up straight, her facing burning with the blood that was accumulating there. She tried to speak, to apologize again, but the words wouldn't come out right.

So she stood there, dumbly…until her eyes meet with his.

They met with perhaps the most stunning amber eyes she's ever seen…but they were narrowed, and coy. His face was strong, and handsome. The skin was tanner than most boys around here, and his cheek bones were set high on his face. Kagome blinked.

`Dog ears.' She thought, eyeing the cute, white dog ears on top of his head. Her fingers twitched with the want to rub them. `He must be a Inu-Hanyou…' she thought, slightly amused.

“S-Sorry…” Kagome mumbled, remembering her current situation. She quickly ducked down to the floor to squeamishly gather all her things. The boy didn't bother to bend down and help her, a thought that instantly annoyed her. `Handsome…but a jerk?'

“Keh, whatever wench.” He spat at her, making his leave.

`Yep, definitely a jerk.' Kagome watched as his long, silvery hair danced across his back in a tight braid, and she could almost bet that there was an arrogant grin adorning his lips.

But when a sudden realization hit her, she paused instantly and acknowledged the last word the boy had said to her. `…he called me…a wench?!'

The raven haired girl tightened her grip on her books before thrusting them into the ground. She was furious. Never had ANYONE called her something like that. Kagome was a nice, level-headed girl, she was always sweet and never smarted off to anyone.

And now this jerk rolls into town thinking he's hot stuff and he can just do and say whatever he wants? Oh, she was going to give him a piece of her mind. She'd purify his doggy butt…!

“WHAT did you just call me?” she hissed at him, the words escaping her lips like razor blades.

“Listen bitch, I don't have time for your complaining!” the handsome boy growled, turning around to make eye contact with her.

Kagome's eyes widened at how forceful and aggressive her seemed. She hesitated for a moment, but regained her previous anger and stomped right in front of him.

“I don't know where you get off calling me a `wench'…” she spat, eyeing him closely.

“But I would think it wise-” she pushed her finger into his chest, her ocean eyes never leaving his. She would make her point. “-…never to call me that, or BITCH, again.”

A low and feral growl emitted from the hanyou's throat, but he said nothing else, only glared daggers into Kagome.

He stood there for a moment….just watching her, and she did the same. She was just as stubborn as any male, and would never back down from a challenge. Finally tired of the battle between their eyes, the dog demon moved to push past her.

`Maybe this will teach you'

Kagome focused hard, eyes picturing the close impact of his shoulder against her skin, and made her power bubble in the pit of her stomach. She willed the power the move through her veins, and into the exact spot she knew her body had touched.

`Zap him' she told herself, as if she were speaking to someone else. And that's just what she did, a tiny spark of purified energy flowed from her to him. It would, if only for in instant, set that part of his body. Kagome only hoped she could control herself long enough to give him a small dosage.

The boy's eyes widened as he jumped away from the girl's side, almost immediately gripping his shoulder. “FUCK!?” he shouted, pulling the sleeve of his shirt up to expose his shoulder.

“What the hell did you do to me, bitch?!” he shouted at her, a dark snarl making its way across his face. Kagome rolled her eyes and removed herself from his path.

“Not a damn thing.” She said smugly, gathering all her things and heading in the opposite direction of the hanyou. She would never admit it, but her heart was racing in her chest. She had given him a bit more of a zap that the wanted to, and now she hung her head a little from guilt.

It wasn't even to hurt him, but he shouldn't have reacted like that…

“I need more training…” she whispered, turning her head to see if the dog demon remained behind her still.

He did not, he was stomping his way down the hall…
