Chapter 3

A/N: Not really. I mean I still got my other stories. I could delete this one anytime.

 

Era: You wouldn't.

 

A/N: A few clicks and it's destroyed.

 

Era: You are so dirty. I can't believe I called you my best friend.

Era: Just continue you with the story the want more anyway.

 

A/N: Yeah whatever.

 

Era: I'm going to read your diary out loud if you don't get started.

 

A/N: Now you are making threats.

 

Era: Yes now start it's going to be a long night. You type slow as it is.

 

 

Chapter 3

 

 

Kagome sensed a demon coming up fast. She smiled and noticed the aura coming from it. It was an aura that she recognized clear as day. When a tornado appeared down the road and came straight for the group Kagome looked at Sango and both smiled.

 

“Koga!” Kagome called out to him like a little child trying to get to her father. She waved him down and told the group to rest while she talked to him. He stopped a few feet away from her and she noticed he was caring his son Kanomaru. He was only two years old and looked exactly like Koga but his eyes were like his mother's. Koga's famous grin was on his face when he responded to her call. “Hey Kagome! You look as pretty as ever.”

 

“Koga stop! You have a mate!” Kagome said with a silly smile. She was in a bad mood ever since Kikyo showed up and her smell was covered by rotten bodies and clay. Kikyo apparently takes up all the smell when the wind blows and it blows every now in then. “Kanomaru wanted to see you anyway! So I just said why not and we left this morning and here we are!” His face turned into a frown and he then yelled, “What the hell is that smell? It really reeks.” He covered his nose after handing over Kanomaru over to Kagome. Kanomaru was sleep because of the long run. Kagome looked up from Kanomaru when he asked the question.

 

“That bitch is here! She ruins the mood and the scent!” She said it loud enough so Inuyasha can hear it. When she turned to look at him, he growled low and stomped to where Kikyo was.

 

Koga laughed and nodded. “Well at least it none of you people smell like that. Hey, have you heard anything about Naraku?”

 

Kagome shook her head and said, “I haven't heard a thing. Right now I'm just going by what shards I sense. Then we are going to worry about him. Why?”

 

Koga eyes darkened and said, “I heard he's up to something no good. He's currently posted in the Western Lands and Sesshoumaru is doing all he's can to get him out but it seems that Naraku just keeps coming back for one reason.”

 

Kagome's eyes switched to the road and said, “Well what is the reason? I mean isn't he supposed to be after us? I thought he would keep us as a target.”

 

“We don't have a reason. I'm working on it right now. That's why I haven't visited in a while.”

 

“No problem I'm sure Sota is pretty busy anyway. He's in the middle of his middle school exams. In a month he'll be in high school. So, how is Ayame doing?” Kagome said messing with Kanomaru's hair.

 

“She's alright. It seems that we will be having more children though. Oh yeah Aya wants to see you too.” Koga smiled widely. “She really looks up to you. If you ask me she favors you to much.”

 

“That's your daughter you're talking about here. Remember when I was younger you always came to me and tried to get me to be your mate but I kept saying no. I knew I wasn't destined to be with you. I was right too. I'm 20 years old now and I look gorgeous I can get any person in my time and in this time but I'm not looking for a man right now.” Kagome said smiling all the way through.

 

“If you did become my mate I think Ayame would have mated with Taro. You know one of the wolves from her pack. I don't think she'll be happy as she is until this day though.” Koga scratched his head.

 

Kagome noticed Kanomaru waking up to see her face and immediately smiled and giggled at her. “Oh you are so precious.” Kagome rubbed her nose onto his while Koga sat down next to her.

Koga smiled and took a small necklace on from his neck that had a square shaped ornament on it. On the silver square was a paw with a leaf partially covering it. “Kagome I give this to you.”

 

Kagome looked up from Kanomaru and saw the silver necklace. “No I can't accept that.”

 

Koga reached his arms around her neck and put the necklace on her. “This is if you need some help. My pack or Sesshoumaru's men will appear in an instant. We have joined alliances and it took some persuading if you know what I mean. Oh yeah almost forgot.” Koga pulled something out of his fur pocket and it looked like a bracelet. “I saw him on the way over here. He gave this to me to give to you. The items are almost alike except the bracelet calls me or him instead of our men. If you get in a tough spot all you have to do it blow on the paw on the necklace and the bracelet is just a telepathic way to reach us.” He put the bracelet around her risk which was just as silver but had a black stone on it.

 

Kagome smiled bigger than she could ever remember. “Thank you. If it wasn't for you son being in my hands I would have tackled you to a hug. I'll come by and visit as soon as I get a chance to.”

 

Koga nodded and stood up. “I'm sure you will. Can you watch Kanomaru for a day?”

 

“Why? I thought you were going to take him.” Kagome said with a worried glance.

 

“I have some business to attend to. It seems the Northern Lord has been a very naughty person. Let me just tell you that. Not only is Naraku my concern but it seems Tirano has trying to go at war with the Southern Lord. Kane is not wealthy and he has joined forces with me and the Western Lands. If this war isn't called off all of the land would be used as a battle ground.”

 

“That's horrible! Is there anything I could do?” Kagome's eyes widened.

 

“You can watch Kanomaru for starters. Drop him off tomorrow at anytime. Now if you excuse me I'm off. Oh he only eats soft foods so don't feed him anything that is hard. He only has one fang but it's still growing.” Koga ran off as fast as he came.

 

Kagome shook her head and looked down at Kanomaru's giggling and smiled. “I guess your father is leaving you with me huh?”

 

She stood up and walked over to the group. “Kikyo!” she called in a half growl. “Don't come near his son and you better stay twenty feet away from me! If you do not I will have to send you back to hell or where ever you came from you hear me?”

 

Sango and Miroku backed up so Kagome can see Kikyo's eyes. Kikyo nodded silently and Inuyasha growled, “Why do we get stuck watching his son?”

 

“Inuyasha it isn't WE it's me who watches his son and if you want to join Kikyo that is twenty feet from the group go ahead. I don't care! While his son is here though we are to take extra precautions. This means he can't sniff foul air all day long!” Kagome took a deep breath.

 

 

Kilala went to Kagome and mewled at her. She was hungry and no matter how many times Kilala came over there Kagome gave her attention too. Nobody else not even Shippo was able to hold Kanomaru but Kagome. She changed Kanomaru's undergarment twice until night time. She only fed him mashed rice and some of Kilala fish. Apparently he liked cat food.

When it was time to go to bed he didn't cry at all. Shippo had to sleep with Sango though. Kilala still slept in Kagome's sleeping bag. That morning Kagome fed him and bathed him like he was her son. She remodeled his clothes a bit so he can look cuter and everyone went on their normal routine.

“Kanomaru!” Kagome called out in surprise. He said his first word and he sounded so adorable. He could barely speak because basically he had no teeth so it sounded cuddly. Kagome pulled him into a hug and nuzzled him like sometimes she nuzzled Kilala.

“Say it again my little bundle of joy!”

 

“Kagooomii…” he was trying to say her name which was a hard word to pronounce sometimes. Some of Kagome's teachers couldn't pronounce her name well especially her history teacher.

 

Kagome was ready for him to go home though. He was tiring so she asked Sango, “Sango, can I borrow Kilala for a few hours. I'm going to take Kanomaru home.”

 

For some reason Sango immediately said, “Yes! Please go right ahead!”

 

Kilala transformed into the demon cat and growled with eagerness. Kagome climbed on and said, “I'll be back by night fall so don't go anywhere.”

 

 

After an hour of riding Kagome and Kilala finally made it to the Eastern Castle. It was huge but Kagome went here so many times she was used to it besides Sesshoumaru's castle was bigger than his but it was still huge. Koga had a small garden and had a training ground on the other side. It was all blue and white inside, the furniture, the ornaments, the crystals, the beds, the vases, everything was blue and white. She didn't get why at first but it really matched his eyes. He had those deep ocean blue eyes and Kagome always tried to talk to him in the eyes.

 

Kagome was greeted by some of the guards and wolves she crossed when entering the castle. Ayame immediately hugged her. “Kagome!!!! I missed you so much!!”

 

“I missed you too. Your son is a handful though. He eats non stop.” Kagome said with a grin.

 

“Oh he gets that from Koga. I asked the cooks to fix him five plates for dinner he ate it up in like five minutes. Then since he is always on the run he doesn't gain anything at all. Aya is in her room asleep if you want to you could go up there and see her.” Ayame smiled brightly at her friend.

 

“No that's alright. I have to get back at the group and let me tell you who joined it.” Kagome rolled her eyes. Kilala knew she was going to stay so she transformed back and walked away from the friends to take a nap. “Kikyo joined our group.”

 

“What????????” Ayame yelled at the top of her lungs. “You mean that foul smelling corpse is there? I can't believe this.”

 

“I almost killed her but she got out of the way. She stays at least ten feet away but when the wind blows its horrible. It's like every where she goes she just makes you want to die. I never heard or seen her take a bath so I guess she just carries all that dirt around like a log.” Kagome scowled at the thought.

 

“Well I never heard of such a thing! Koga is in the room do you want me to go get him for you? Or do you want to surprise him because he's sleep too. When he went to see the Northern Lord apparently he didn't persuade him and what happened is that he got so upset he got a headache. As soon as he came home he fell asleep saying he doesn't want to talk about what really happened. The only reason why I know all that because you could see it right on his face he was upset.” She took Kanomaru from Kagome's arms.

 

“He learned his first word today.” Kagome smiled and eyes beamed with happiness.

 

“What was the word?” Ayame's smile widened with pride.

 

“When he wakes up later you'll find out. Now let's go mess with Koga!”

In the dark of his room he watched the scene in the mirror. He smiled at the cheerfulness in the girl. He always watched her even when she first started this little journey of finding the jewel shards. He loved her for her devotion to her friends and her love for almost everything. It amazed him how strong and cruel she was at times and then after a while she would be calm and sometimes happy.

 

“Kagura!” he called out so his some what servant could come in.

 

“Yes Naraku?” She answered him in a tone with ice in her voice. She never really obeyed him and he just knew it was a matter of time before she started really rebelling.

 

“I want you to go give her something for me. You know that kimono that's in my closest. Go get that and make it snappy!” he said in his usual calm attitude.

 

“What do you want me to do with it?” she asked with a little defiance in her voice.

 

“I want you to give it to her but give it to her in a few days. I want her to be alone. Kikyo already is breaking the group apart. I was going to do it myself but this is another way to do it. Kagome will be mine and I'll make sure no one gets in my way.”

 

“Naraku, what about the cat demon?” she asked another question.

 

Naraku became irritated at her questions and almost yelled, “I don't care about the cat demon. I care about Kagome now leave my site before you make me angry.”

 

Kagura left the room with a huff and until she left the castle Kanna said something. “Naraku is she really going to be with you?”

 

Kanna was more like a daughter to him than Kagura. She was like his only creation that hardly defied him. He smiled and said, “My plans on capturing her heart are unstoppable. Besides I'm not worried about that I'm worried about that dumb war that is coming over the lands. I need somewhere to be safe and Kagome has that only advantage.”

 

 

 

 

 

A/N: Whoa! This is a nice story.

 

Era: I can't wait until I'm done with writing this story.

 

Kag: Why am I the only one that doesn't have a man?

 

Nar: Because I will not allow it.

 

Inu: Feh! I'm out of here.

 

A/N: Inuyasha the only reason why you don't like the story because Kikyo is your smelly slut.

Kag: That's right you do always choose her over me.

 

Sess: He's a fool. I never stopped calling him that. You people are arrogant.

 

Era: At least this story is moving along nicely.

 

A/N: Whatever. I still don't like it.

 

Era: Stop complaining soon you'll love it and since you are the one that taught me about lemons I will torture you until your eyes have soiled out.

 

Sess: You are sick.

 

Inu: I told all of you that she has issues and you still don't believe me.

 

Nar: At least I'm one of the stars in this.

 

Kag: Where's the stereo? I want to dance again.

 

Era: I'll go get it. We can plug it up in this room.

 

A/N: No you cannot my mom will have it fit.

 

Era: Relax we aren't going to break it besides you need something to concentrate on. This will make it easier.

 

Nar: I'm sorry to say this but how in the world can listening to blasting music help you concentrate on typing a story?

 

Sess: I believe she likes music to much so we should leave her in peace.

 

A/N: How about this? We listen to music but only if it's on low.

 

Era: Okay. Then let's play music chairs.

 

Kag: I haven't played that in years.

 

Era: Well you are going to play it now.

 

A/N: Please review before I get a headache.
