A week had gone by Kagome had gotten to know the rest of the group including a vulgar, arrogant, bad mouthed, egotistical, big headed, stubborn hanyou known to mankind. The first day Kagome had met Inuyasha she had never met such a conceited jerk in her life.

 

(Flash Back)

 

Kagome walked along side her still angry sister “Kagome I don't know what happened to you yesterday but I sure as hell don't want you doing it again” Sango turned the corner and kept walking briskly to her next class “San your not my Mamma I can look out for myself” Kagome knew right then that, that was the wrong move, Sango turned red before bursting into a big fit “YOU RAN AWAY FROM SCHOOL YESTERDAY, YOU DIDN'T COME HOME TILL 7.00PM I KNOW BETTER THEN YOU ABOUT THE STREETS KAGOME AND THEIR BLOODY NOT SAFE” it was true Sango knew everything that had to do with the streets she was apart of it and knew just how dangerous it could get but Kagome wasn't about to back down she never did when fighting with Sango.

 

“Sango stop being so goddamn protective and let me breathe, I'm old enough to make my own decisions and I seriously don't need your help in making matters worst, I have my reasons for what I did and I don't need you all up in my fucking face!” Sango looked wide eyed at Kagome never had Kagome swore to her in her life, Sango looked at the ground before growling out “I may not be your mother but I don't want you hurt” Kagome inhaled sharply “no matter where I am I'm gunna be hurt in more ways then one and you wont be there to stop the pain San”

 

With that said Kagome walked away from Sango closing her eyes annoyed at how Sango treated her like a small child opening her eyes a hard rock like object hit into her sending the air from her lungs, hitting the lockers behind her Kagome adjusted her eyes to be faced with a fight, and to make matters worst she was trapped between the lockers and the brawl that was taking place. The body that hit into her was a guy with jet black greasy hair he had red malicious eyes that looked more like slits then human eyes and was sprawled out in front of her.

 

“Takahashi you'll pay for this you do realize that, harming me only means death for you, better watch your gang they just might end up loosing a life or limb depending on what I feel like” the greasy black haired man snarled at the other opponent wiping blood from his mouth “Keh Fuck off Arsehole you better keep your hands off Kanna or your life will pay” Kagome held tightly to her books watching as the guy named Takahashi grabbed the other guy by the hair and repeatedly kneed him in the face “Naraku remember leave Kagura's sister alone” Naraku's head fell to the ground as blood pooled around him, Kagome looked up to see the other guy staring at her strangely “um you f-finished” Kagome squeaked afraid he might turn against her, the guy flashed her an amused smile “Keh wench get up off the ground” Kagome frowned at him “hey I aint no wench you jerk” The guy still had that mocking smirk plastered on his face “shut up wench and stay out of my way, next time I throw a body across the hall I might just knock you out” Kagome gritted her teeth “now listen here Mutt I don't listen to no one and second STOP CALLING ME WENCH! MY NAMES KAGOME KA-GO-ME” Inuyasha turned around and snickered “so you're the little brat Sango was talking about, she was right when she said your annoying yet she mentioned you were quiet” Kagome's face fell as Inuyasha walked away, was this Baka insulting her and getting away with it.

 

“She also said not to tell you she thought you were annoying” Inuyasha smirked over his shoulder, Kagome balled up her fists red slowly flushing her face “THAT'S IT JERK” Kagome lunged for Inuyasha grabbing hold of his silver hair and yanking it as hard as she could “FUCK WOMEN LET GO OF MY HAIR” Kagome smiled evilly “NO!” Inuyasha grabbed hold of her wrists but Kagome was securely straddled to his torso “LET GO, LET GO” before Kagome could rip a good fist full of hair out of his skull she felt two strong arms surround her waist before yanking her away from Inuyasha's hair “HEY LET GO OF ME” Kagome tried twisting around to get a good look at who was holding her against her will, when the unknown spoke to her “It's seriously not lady like to do that Kag” Kagome went limp and huffed knowing exactly who had stopped her from attempting grave assault on the other boy “but he called me wench” Kagome whined to her friend “I know I heard honey but that don't mean shit” Kouga grinned at her, Kagome sighed “Kouga you can put me down now” smiling Kouga placed her back onto her feet “you sure your not gunna kill my friend here?” Kagome snarled “No I won't kill your stupid jerk of a friend tempting but no” Kouga rolled his eyes “get to class before I tell on you ” Kagome's eye's widened “Don't I'm going I promise” taking one last look at a hurt Inuyasha Kagome smiled “bye Kouga, bye butt head” before racing to her next class.

 

Inu's Pov: Shit she's crazy!

 

(End of flash back)

 

 

Kagome smirked to herself she was currently sitting with Sango alone under the tree, it was after school and the two were waiting for Miroku to catch a ride.

 

There was a tense silence that was shared between the two “Kag Ima tell you something don't freak it kinda goes against most things you believe in” Kagome scoffed at her sisters confession, their dispute 2 weeks ago still hadn't been forgiven nor forgotten “your life not mine but if you have to so badly tell me spit it out would ya” Sango sighed she wasn't the one to back down but 2 weeks was enough of bitterness she was gunna cave in now so she and Kagome could be cool again “look Kag I'm sorry about before I know I can be really protective and I'm sorry but I really need you not to get mad at me for this” Sango sighed “ I promised you that I would never get into a gang I know you hate it because of Souta but there's no way out, I'm in it for life and have been for a while now”

 

Kagome kept her eyes down cast “even if we're living in a ghetto neighbourhood doesn't mean we live the ghetto life” Sango shook her head “look being in a gang gives you protection, under a name your safe Kagome this isn't some wannabe gangster shit most people talk about!!! You walk past gang members in the school halls everyday, it's our way of life” Sango was exasperated she didn't know why but her sister's opinion meant a lot even if they were always fighting.

 

Kagome looked up at Sango “Just because I wasn't in the same school as you for one year don't mean I don't know anything, and when has it been just your life living in a goddamn ghetto San Huh? If I remember clearly I was more forced to live it for real, to me this thing you call a gang is shit, it aint real what do you all do? sell drugs and do gang bashing? Shit you just degraded yourself another notch how far till the tequila bottle now San?” Sango glared at her “What? How the hell am I degrading myself by looking for protection Kag, just because I'm not the innocent good girl suck up like you doesn't mean I'm degrading myself!, The one year away from you and I have learned a hell of a lot Kag” Kagome lowered her gaze before saying bitterly “I guess the extra 6 years really stuffed up everything then too being a suck up is better then being a low life” Sango shrugged irritably “maybe for sisters who act real close sometimes I don't even know who you are” Kagome looked up shocked to see how serious Sango's face looked “6 years takes a lot away and even though we try to get back to being as close as we were back then I don't think we ever can, we lived in the same house shared the same family but for 6 years we were total strangers actually the gang were my family for that time”

 

Kagome's solid expression didn't change as she spoke bitterly “if you feel that way I respect that, but I should tell you my other sisters and Kikyo would have never taken your place” Sango's head shot up “what?” Kagome smiled softly yet it wasn't her usual signature smile it was a more meek, confused one “That's why I ran away that day because Kikyo's my sister not because I hate her but because I was afraid now I know why” Sango was shocked beyond belief when she slowly realized that yes Kagome and Kikyo were like twins both having the same features and same coloured eyes.

 

Sango knew the eyes would have been from their separate mothers because Kagome's father's eyes were blue but Sango never knew that the popular preppy Kikyo was Kagome's extended family. Kagome shrugged her shoulder “you were always my big Sis, I didn't know that me knowing my other family would change that” Sango looked up to say something but Kagome had suddenly disappeared even more shocked at how fast Kagome disappeared Sango buried her face in her hands jealousy of Kikyo and hurt that Kagome had kept Kikyo a secret from her made her want to cry “but then again I kept the gang a secret from her as well, what happened to you little Kago?”

 

 

Kagome walked away from Sango, she knew Sango and herself were growing apart, not even their bond could stand in opposition to what Kagome was up against, just as she turned the corner her eyes fell upon Kikyo, Kikyo stood stock still her hair blowing gracefully in the breeze “Sakura, you cant hide this time, father wants you to do a job…. To redeem yourself” Kagome gulped scared “I cant” Kagome bowed her head “last time it nearly cost you your life and also Akio” Kikyo looked sternly at her, her usual soft tone was replaced with a business like one “When your doing your job your not my sister, when your on a mission your not my sister, only when your mask is off do you have the privilege. Kagome you know the rules it's your life or this” Kagome sighed “Tell Dad I'll do it” She glanced up again “I hope little sister you don't receive the bequest, but that's not my decision” Kikyo's eyes flashed with all different kinds of emotions Kagome couldn't understand any of them, smiling Kikyo vanished before her.

 

Whispering to the breeze Kagome sniffed “I don't think I can weasel my way out of this one, this time Kik”

 

 

 

Yo so how was it? Well I cant tell you anything about what Kagome or Kikyo are but the part where Sango takes Kagome to meet the gang she's apart of is up soon so yeah please ask questions if you want me to clarify anything k
