Inuyasha had ushered Kagome into the first floor of the building, Kagome studied the graffiti walls, each wall had a name sprayed on it in it's owners style, there were couches against walls, different sets of flat screen TVs around the place, In the centre of the lobby like storey there were couches that formed a circle, friends talking and lounging around and having laughs with each other it was like one big family room, the circular lounge could have fit over 50 people on it, the couches looked worn out and second hand they were also mismatched but it just made it look more like a home.

 

“Mostly everyone's at school at the moment so you can't meet them all” Just as Inuyasha had said this a petit girl with shoulder length hair approached them eating from a tub of chocolate fudge ice cream looking up she dropped the tub of ice cream and ran screaming towards Kagome “KAG OH MY GOD” Kagome grinned widely when seeing her best friends expression. Grabbing Kagome up into a hug Rin squealed and started jumping up and down “KAG THIS IS SO COOL” chocking Kagome laughed “Ok Rin let go now” Rin then got a confused look on her face “what are you actually doing here Kago?” Kagome shrugged “ask Takahashi that” Rin looked up at Inuyasha expectantly “Keh” was all that came out of his mouth, Rin turned back around to face Kagome “I guess this means you wont be joining anytime soon then huh?” her suddenly sad face looked directly at Kagome's confused one “you thought I was here cause I joined?” Rin nodded hopefully “Nope I'm here Cause jerkosaurus kidnapped me he thinks I'll spill on your little hideout and probably thinks I'm working for the secret service” Rin giggled slightly “yeah Yash can get a bit over dramatic about anyone finding this place, especially rival gangs” Kagome suddenly went into protective mode “and if I hear you went with in a thousand meters of a gang fight or shoot out, your gunna wish they shot you!” Rin smiled happily “Hey I promise, only if I need to defend myself” Kagome grumbled at her “maybe if you really have to” Rin grinned “well I gotta go catch up on ma soapies I think Michael's gunna die” bending down and picking up her ice cream Rin dashed for the closest TV.

 

“You ready wench?” Kagome looked up at Inuyasha “yeah I guess” walking towards another bunch of stairs the duo began their trek to the next level up. Thinking about Rin Kagome let a sigh of relief out `Thank the Lord for Sesshoumaru'

 

Inuyasha turned around and saw relief wash over Kagome's features “what's up with you” he said to her “nothing just happy I saw Rin was ok” Understanding Inuyasha stopped and turned to face Kagome “wench I know we stopped being friends and all ages ago, but look the real reason for us dragging your nerdy arse out of school was because Sango really wants your approval, she's been sulking around and complaining that your not talking to her, she may pretend to ignore you and yes I rub the fact you two aren't close into your unhealed wounds, she's tough made of goddamn steel but one insult from you and all that steel turns to fuckin ash, look stick around and you'll see that all these people you once were friends with are still the same. Forget about the fact that we're in a gang, forget that yes some of us do, do illegal shit” Inuyasha pointed to his chest “here we all still have heart here, and love Kago and no matter how many times you pushed us away we bounced back. But this time I'm not letting Sango loose the only person that makes sense in her life” Kagome by that time looked at the ground guiltily “we stuffed up big time in one year huh Takahashi?” looking up she met his beautiful gold eye's “if you two can grow apart in a year a year together can bring you two back, I don't want to hang out with one Higurashi sister, it's not the same without the Higurashi twin tornado's” Kagome chuckled “yeah I haven't caused true havoc in a while, I was the brains behind the pranks Sango was the brawn” Inuyasha smiled “yeah I always seemed to be the main target” Kagome giggled “yeah grape juice with ink in it made your teeth purple for like ages” Inuyasha frowned at her “shut up wench no more going down memory lane, something dangerous might come to your mind and don't get any ideas on doing it again” Kagome sighed “Ima talk to San when we get home tonight thanks Yash” Inuyasha smirked “if you tell anyone I had a girly talk with you I swear I'll send out some associates of mine to kill you” Kagome fake smiled “I'm so lucky Inuyasha Takahashi would go through the trouble of using assassins to kill me” Inuyasha rolled his eyes gesturing to a grimy door opening it slowly he smiled “enter a gangsters heaven”

 

It had been 2 hours since Kagome had entered into what Inuyasha called it `a gangster's heaven' he was currently chugging down a can of XXXX Gold (beer) and laughing with Miroku, Kagome was sitting in the middle of Kanna who was playing the X box and Satsuki who seemed to be in a dead state, her eyes had dark circles around them and her hair was un-brushed and messy. Kagome wanted to hug the little 11 year old girl. Sitting between the two she heard Kanna swear “shit damn I lost again” Kagome saw Satsuki blink away a tear as she watched the TV screen `she must have lost someone' angered and confused Kagome wanted to know why everyone ignored Satsuki's state, not only was she pale but her state of mind could have also been injured `how can they not care for her' getting onto her knees Kagome grabbed Satsuki into a hug and pulled her onto her lap, as soon as Kagome had done this Satsuki burst into tears, shaking and sobbing into Kagome's shirt “It's ok Sat cry all you want” Satsuki shook hopelessly in Kagome's arms “H-he didn't w-want m-me to” Sat sobbed again, Kagome rocked side to side “It's alright to cry Sat you must have really loved him” Satsuki looked up at Kagome “thankyou” Kagome smiled down at her “it's ok cry your heart out I'll sit here with you”

 

Kagome was so wrapped up in soothing the girl that she didn't realize everyone watching her, Inuyasha smiled slightly `she still has the biggest heart' Miroku watched with guilt `sorry Sat I didn't comfort you' Sango felt tears in her eyes `this is why we need you Kag' Kagome rocked slowly `What happened Satsuki' Satsuki was still erupting with sobs and tears that Kagome decided maybe singing would help.

Taking in a deep breath Kagome began singing: Come Away With Me

Finishing the song Kagome felt Satsuki's sobbing slowing down all she was doing now was, hiccupping “you let it all go Sat?” Satsuki nodded her head slightly “I'm ok now Kagome thanks” Sitting up Satsuki looked around at the group “sorry for slobbering on your clothes” Kagome smiled gently “your alright my clothes are at your advantage any time” Satsuki stood up gloomily “I think I'm going to go back to my room, thanks again Kag” walking to her room Satsuki glanced back at Kagome before going to her apartment and crying herself back to sleep.

 

Kagome sighed and sat in silence as everyone stared at her, getting fidgety She started screaming “WHAT”S ALL YOUR PROBLEMS STOP STAREING IT”S EMBARRESSING” Inuyasha turned his head away and looked at the graffiti wall, Sango smiled “you knew Satsuki really needed that thanks Kag” Kagome shrugged her shoulders “she needed to cry so I let her” Inuyasha sighed “her brother was murdered last night, Satsuki was more like his daughter then sister, now she's all by her self no more family but us, it's like that with most of us though”

 

Kagome nodded her head “I see was it a shoot out?” Inuyasha sighed heavily “no assassination by Japan's most notorious assassin group, their accordingly the finest assassins in history never any evidence of them ever being anywhere near there targets, no one knows who they really are male or female. The only thing they leave behind are their signature flowers, there's the Lilly, Iris, Red rose, daisy, lavender, jasmine, white rose and the last some say she's a ghost, some say it's one of the other assassins in a second attire that beauty is the Sakura, I don't believe she exists as one person though I believe it's the signature flower when they kill as a group”

 

Taking a deep breath Inuyasha continued “someone that kills that skillfully has to have comrades with them, the only reason we know about these assassins now is because of one survivor to bad the bugger only lived an extra 4 hours enough time to spill the beans but they got him good” Inuyasha looked up to find Kagome spaced out and in a look of shock “I know it sounds bad but Sat will get through her brother died peacefully” Kagome smiled timidly “yeah” she whispered `Oh god this cant be Sat!' Kagome frowned before asking “If they truly are the best assassins then why does everyone know about them, why did a survivor escape?” Inuyasha frowned “dunno but their real I just know it” Kagome shook her head “how long have you known about this person? you know have you heard about the copy cat that's been going round lately?” Inu shook his head “I found out about them last year and what do you mean Copy cat murderer” Kagome tapped her chin “the copy cat murderer, he's been on the loose for a while now, he's been getting all his idea's of killing out of myths and urban legends like the widower, tiger slash, the only flaw he leaves are his goddamn foot prints on the carpet of the victims house or smudged finger prints, he's gunna get caught out soon anyway what if it was him? This guys meant to be associated with Naraku Osaki and if I'm right Osaki is a dangerous mobster” Inuyasha shrugged his shoulders “maybe brat but until evidence shows Tech was murdered by some crazy loop who thinks he can copy legendary urban myths Ima think it's the Mayonaka assassins” Kagome shrugged her shoulders seeming not to care but a thought went through her head `daddy don't be mad at me'.

 

Afterward:

Inuyasha hopped onto his Bike shuffling forward he beckoned Kagome to seat behind him, Kagome shook her head “Nope I might fall off you Baka” Inuyasha hadn't the heart to argue with her, moving backward he left a small space in front of him so she could sit down “you know your lucky your so small or I would have made you sit in the back of me” Kagome shrugged her shoulders and seated herself on the seat “just as long as I don't fall I don't mind a thing” Inuyasha smirked draping his jacket on her shoulders before revving his bike” what you feel safer in my arms” for the first time without feeling embarrassed Kagome answered truthfully “damn straight dog boy” Inuyasha nudged her head with his chin and murmured into her hair playfully “well then if you ever ride with me I'll make sure your up front Ne?” Kagome nodded childishly “Kay Inu” Inuyasha smiled and revved his bike again “nice having you back Kago” Kagome smiled slightly whispering so low no one could hear her “I'm glad Inuyasha”
