Hello! How ya doin'? Sorry this took a long time to get out but I've had a LOT of things going on here. Anyway I hope you like this chapter!

 

 

In the Mirror: Chapter twenty eight. Dark power

“Well, I guess you made it just in time to watch your friends die.”

 

They followed the sound of the voice and saw Naraku standing on a pavilion above the vat that held their friends. Sesshomaru didn't know how he had gotten to Keiko, but something told him that Shizuka had something to do with it. He was more pissed off then he would ever let anyone know. He was the lord of the western lands; he wasn't supposed to show emotion, and he wasn't supposed to be this aggravated, that's what he had servants for.

 

Inuyasha felt like he was ready to bust. If that basterd said one more word he thought he'd be able to go full youkai. It was bad enough that he had Shippo up there, but now he had his three best friends hanging on the line; and now he was out for blood.

 

Kagome wanted too cry. Her family was about to be killed thanks to that heartless basterd standing up there. And the part that really got her blood boiling was the fact that he stood up there smiling. That basterd was SMILING! She had never felt the pure untainted hatred that was coursing through her vanes at that moment before in her life. And for some reason her miko powers were reacting to it, she felt stronger then she had ever felt in her whole life. But at the same time it felt wrong, she knew that the power that she was feeling was dark power. The kinda power only a dark miko would feel. She had to rid her self of the hate she was feeling before she lost control.

 

“Now my friends, lets start with the fun shall was?” Naraku said from above them, Kanna and Kagura by his side.

 

“Don't you dare call us your friends you miserable basterd!”

 

Kagome's outburst surprised the brothers standing next to her. She stood there with her fists hanging by her sides and tears in her eyes. She was closer to exploding then she or anyone else had thought. Her ora was crackling and slowly but steadily turning from blue to black. Inuyasha unconsciously took a step back from her, but realized what he did and came back up next to her. Sesshomaru wanted to laugh, but of course he didn't. For one thing he wasn't feeling all that safe around the miko right now him self; and he never laughs, he was lord of the western lands, and lords didn't laugh. Though there was a small voice in the back of his mind that sounded suspiciously like his father telling him other wise.

 

But now wasn't the time for that.

 

“Well Inuyasha, it looks like your miko's patience is wearing thin. So let's get this started.” He snapped his fingers and the vat of lava disappeared, and his six prisoners dropped to the ground. When Inuyasha made a move to go get them he was thrown backwards by the same barrier that had been in the maze.

 

“Shit.” He winced as he got up.

 

“The tests are just beginning. I have a lot in store for you and your friends before you die.” He said grinning at them.

 

“What tests? Just get down here so we can kick your ass and get out of this fucking place.” Inuyasha got off the ground as Sesshomaru unsheathed Tokijin and Kagome got her bow and arrows ready.

 

“This is it Naraku, your going down.” Inuyasha unsheathed Tetsusaiga, Sesshomaru to his right and Kagome to his left. He was more then confident that they would win.

 

Kagome's line of thoughts were still going the same way. She knew she was gaining power by the minute. The darkness was starting to take over her mind, but the little corner that still belonged to her was trying to fight back. I can't let this happen to me. I have to help them but I can't let this darkness take over my body. Please, any kami that's listening to me please help.

 

Sesshomaru was ready to fight. But he wasn't ready to face his brother's wench if she lost it. He wasn't afraid mind you; He just didn't want to deal with an out of control miko. He highly doubted that she could kill him, maybe his brother, but not him, but at the same time he knew that she could do some damage to any youkai in this room. And he was counting on it to beat Naraku.

 

They all knew that there was a very good chance that they would all make it out of here alive.

 

But what they were about to endure was more then they thought that they'd ever have to face.
