Chapter 13: Call me Sango

There comes a time in everyone’s life that you let your wants govern you. Those wants turn into desires, and make you think of that object too long. If not checked, the desire then turns to obsession, then you are left awake at night filled with need. For Miroku, his was that of Sango Arachna. He didn’t know why, but he started reading up on her. His dreams would be of her, and he felt silly dreaming about her smile. She always was doing well for the community for so many charities. Like an addiction, he looking in the newspaper to see what charity she was involved in, just to see her name.

Sango….what a beautiful name. He thought, as he knew of the meaning. She was indeed beautiful, she even smelled good. He remembered their first meeting in his office. After she left he could still smell her lavender like fragrance in the room.

While she wasn’t aware of his eyes, he could tell that something was off with her. After a week of following her he realized that she was too perfect. ‘What secret was she hiding, he thought on more then one occasion. By that thought, it made her want her more.

He called her cell to let her know that he had information and he wanted to meet her. It was the perfect way of getting her to be with him. Though it wasn’t a date, it was something to look forward to.

Just as he told her, she arrived on time at his favorite restaurant. And like a vision she looked so beautiful in a white form-fitted pant suite with matching white pumps. ‘She’s an angel’ was the thought on his mind as he rose from his chair and shook her hand.

“Thank you for meeting me Mrs. Arachna.” Miroku said sitting back down after helping her in her chair.

“Not a problem Mr. Houshi, you said you have some information about my sister?” She asked.

Knowing that she loved her sister more than anything, he nodded pulled out a picture.

“This was taken three days ago. It looks like your sister is safe, and well protected.” Miroku said as he showed her.

Sango gasped as she saw her sister in the picture. The picture was of her petting a rather large dog and smiling. She looked like she had a cast on her arm. ‘Kagome doesn’t like dogs, why is she? Oh whatever at least she’s alive.’ Sango thought then her eyes narrowed.

“What happened to her arm? Who hurt her? I want to know….” Sango started but stop at the look of Miroku’s face. He didn’t know, from the look of it. She sat back down and continued staring at the picture.

Her eyes were shimmering with tears. Miroku put his hands on top of hers and smiled warmly.

“I promise you Mrs. Arachna, I will do anything in my power to help. I have to warn you, sources tell me that she is planning to stay where she is. Something about a man.”

“What? Are you saying that my baby sister fell in love? How? Who is he? Do you have more information about him? Can he be trusted?” she asked again her anxiety clearly shown on her face.

“Yes he is very trustworthy, he is the one I got to save her. I am not sure if it’s definite love, and he is actually a colleague of mine so I know that he is a good person.” Miroku said still holding her hand.

Sango nodded pleased that Kagome was ok. The waiter came up and took their orders. During dinner they talked about Kagome, and each other’s childhood.

“So what are you going to do about your husband, Mrs. Arachna?” Miroku asked as the check was handed to him.

“Play it cool, try to see what he’s up to. I can handle him.” She said confidently

“Sounds to me like he is very dangerous.” Miroku said looking at her

“He is, but I know what I’m doing. I know him well enough to know his games.” She replied getting up.

Miroku got up to and reached for her arm. “Listen, I know you feel like you can handle him, But he’s too dangerous. You say you know him, yet you did not know he was set to kill your own sister.”

“That is because I didn’t know he found out of our family secret. Had I known that, I could have handled him accordingly.” She said as she took his hand off of her.

“It’s not a good Idea for you to walk me to my car. It doesn’t look too good.” Sango said coolly.

“My apologizes Mrs. Arachna.” Miroku bowed to her.

“That’s ok, Mr. Houshie. By the way, the name is Sango. I would like it if you called me by that.” She said as she left the table with Miroku smiling.
