It took the two of them a couple of hours to reach the village. Once they arrived, they were warmly welcomed by the village children with their smiles, and the elders of the village. At the entrance the village seer waved and greeted.

 

“Welcome Hantu, we have been expecting you and your biwi (Mate) “the elder said bowing.

 

Inuyasha bowed to them and they were escorted into the tent of meeting. Kagome looked at the crowd in awe. They were the most beautiful group of people that she had ever seen. They had flawless honey colored skin. What made them so beautiful was the fact that they all seemed so content, no happy. The children were playing as the elderly kept an eye on them. Kagome looked around to see where the young people were only to find there were none around.

 

`They must be out working somewhere.' She thought

 

The village itself was well hidden in one of the mountains, so it was actually well protected by the rainforest. So to find only children and the elderly around was a tad upsetting to her at first.

 

“The animals protect them. Don't worry about the people.” Was the thought that was projected in her head.

 

When they walked into the tent, Kagome was suddenly pulled into a tight hug.

 

“Kagome, I am so glad you are ok!” Was the voice issuing the hug.

 

Once Kagome was released her eyes widened at the sight of her smiling friend.

 

“Charlie? I thought you were dead. Oh my god! You're ok!” Kagome said as she looked her over and hugged her friend tighter.

 

The girls were suddenly interrupted by the sound of someone clearing their throat, and the pulled away.

 

“Sorry, we'll talk afterwards.” Charlie said as she walked over to her seat next to her mate, Toya.

 

“This meeting was called to order by Hantu. My son, does the meeting have anything to do with the sudden evil that has entered the forest?” One of the elders asked.

 

“Yes, it is and that is also part of the reason why I asked for Toya to come.” Inuyasha said. “The evil has entered every direction but Toya's region, and before it infects your region I wanted your help in fighting it.”

 

“What is the evil that you want me to help you with brother?” Toya asked.

 

“Kanna has been infected by it. And through her is the source of it. We need to cure her, before it kills her and us.” Inuyasha said.

 

“Did she come to you Hantu. Or did one of her underlings?” One of the elders asked

 

“No she came to me herself.” He answered. “She seemed herself at first, but then her eyes changed from black to green.”

 

“When did she approach you? Did you see her in a dream or did she actually approach you.” The seer asked waiting for the answer.

 

“She came to me just before dawn. In a dream.” Was the answer given. The men around the room started muttering to themselves.

 

“We all know that she is controller of the things in the night. If she is spotted during the day then she's very ill.” The seer said.

 

“Do you mean the little girl with the white hair?” Kagome suddenly asked.

 

“Beti (Daughter), you have seen her?” the seer said. Kagome nodded and everyone looked at her.

 

“I saw her twice. I saw her once in mid day, and once early evening.” Kagome started off.

 

“I do sense strength in you Beti that must be why the forest called to you. Just like the forest called to your sister.” The seer said while pointing to Charlie.

 

“The evil has spread, and the only way to kill it is for her to peer into her very soul.” The sear said to them.

 

“How do we do that?” Kagome asked

 

“Look to the reflecting waters, and that will be your answer.” The seer said.

 

Kagome looked over Inuyasha. “Don't worry Mahal, I know where that is.” He thought to her as he reached for her hand and squeezed it.

 

They all continued planning when two young men ran into the tent. “Hantu, there is a strange group approaching the village. Seven of them. “One of the men said

 

“Not good, I feel a great sense of death on them. It seems like we have yet another group of bandits who are after your miko.” The seer said sadly.

 

Inuyasha got up and looked to Toya. “Watch over the village and Kagome brother, I'll see what they want.”

 

“Are you going to go on alone? I could help.” Toya offered. Inuyasha just shook his head and went off without giving the group further answer.

 

“Hantu, Be swift on returning, I sense a Judas in our midst.” Was the thought of the seer.

 

“Thank you, I'll be back soon.” He thought back as he had soon been accompanied by his two companions Kiba and Tama.

 

`Be safe Kagome. I'll come back to you Mahal.' He thought as he sniffed the air to find his destination.

 

He found five of them with no trouble. He slowly approached them and asked “What are you doing here in these lands?” He asked

 

“Oh my, you are beautiful! I'm so glad that I finally got to meet you. You are Hantu right? What's your real name gorgeous?” came the voice of one of them.

 

To the human eye the one speaking appeared like a woman. But to the senses of anyone of the supernatural, she was a he. That thought made Inuyasha cringe.

 

“You do not have to worry about knowing of my name. You will be dead before you even say it out loud.” He growled out as poised in his fighting stance.

 

“Oh no that's not the plan beautiful.” He/she sneered as he pulled out a sword. “You see beautiful, we are not to kill you, nor are you to kill us. As you can see we are the band of seven. Have you ever heard of us?”

 

“Nope, now shut up and lets start fighting” Inuyasha said, this time his companions started circling the five as if waiting for their leaders signal to attack.

 

“No sorry sweety, we are just a diversion. You notice two of us are missing right sweetie?” It said to him.

 

Inuyasha's eyes narrowed a little and just then he heard a loud blast, coming from the direction of the village.

 

“Hantu, hurry Beti has been taken.” Was the voice of the seer.

 

“No! You bastards, who sent you?” Inuyasha roared
