Chapter Seven

For some reason,
Breathing and living,
Has just become harder,

Kagome ate her dinner silently. Sesshomaru had asked for Chicken Teryaki, Trumpolo Sweet and Pungent Shrimp, Sushi, Houki inor Suhusi and so much more elegant delicasies. Two candles were light before them, courtesy from the waitress. The light emanated his perfect face, his youkai marking beautiful to her eyes. 'Beautiful? Handsome? Generous and polite? I like him. After one date, I feel much more liking towards him.' Kagome thought in wonder ans shock.




Looking at him again as he ate with his chopsticks delicatly, Kagome blushed again. 'Maybe he acts different at school so that no one can understand the real him. Maybe he was hurt by a girl he had let her know him.' Kagome grew sad at that thought, her sapphire blue eyes darkening with her thoughts. Sesshomaru smelt her sadness. He looked up, actullay somewhat worried for her. "What is wrong, Kagome." He asked emotionlessly. Kagome looked up, blinking out of her thoughts. Giving a smile, Kagome waved her hand nonchantly.





"Nothing! Everything is perfect, Sesshomaru. I am actullay very glad I came! I can't wait for dessert!" She exclaimed enthusiaticlly. Sesshomaru smiled a small smile at that. Her eyes were wide with childish delight at the thought. Sesshomaru stopped his train of though. Why was he even thinking about being happy in her presence? She was a ningen. Someone he was to humiliate. Sesshomaru glanced at her through half lidded eyes.





The candles softened her unnatural beauty. 'She is beautiful. For a ningen. Maybe I have had too much sake. Perhaps this Sesshomaru is tired.' He was upset. Upset that he was actullay enjoying her company. The Frost bitch. The ningen.
Kagome felt Sesshomaru's turmoil. Without thinking, the girl leaned forward and laid her hand on his. Electricy shot between the two as their skin made contact, causing the pair to become speechless. Both pairs of eyes widened in shock. Blinking and blushing, Kagome stuttered, "Don't be upset, Sesshomaru. This is a wonderful night." Sesshomaru shot a glance at her, seeing the honesty and truth in those mirror depths.





Nodding, he took his hand from underneath hers. His hand was actullay shaking! What had happened? That feeling. That.....connection...! It felt so right... Five pairs of eyes watched from a nearby bush, outside of the restaurant. "Banko! Did you see it?! Did you!" Jakotsou whispered happily. Bankotsou smacked his boyfriend on the head. "Shhhh!" He whispered angrily. Jakotsou pouted. "No more kissies for you tonight!" He whispered harshly.





Sango and Miroku watched the pair laughingly. They were arguing over kisses again. Shippo's large, emerald eyes watched the couple in the window. Sango and Miroku had convinced him to leave his computer and man was he happy he had! He had been sensing Sesshomaru's attraction, anger, happiness and confusion throughout the date. Man that youkai was actullay complexe when it came to emotions, surprisingly.





"They touched hands! Yay!" Jakostou cheered. This earned him another hit. Glaring at the four them, he yelled "Stop that!" and stood up. They turned in the bush to see Sesshomaru and Kagome looking out the window in surprise. Kagome choked on her shrimp as Sesshomaru just glared at the window coldly, his golden eyes hard with anger and a death promise.

Kagome had been talking to Sesshomaru about her academic studies and he seemed to be listening intentivley. Sesshomaru was surprised at how intelligent the girl was. Nodding as she explained the problem he had been trying to solve for Neuton's cold fusion exponential unit, his sensitive hearing picked up a yell. Turning his head fast, he growled. He noticed it was Kagome's little annoying gay friend, Jakotsou. Kagome stopped and looked out the window as well.





Her life was over. Jakotsou's painted face smiled shyly. Waving at them and then whistling, he strolled down the street. Kagome almost died when Bankotsou rolled from out of the bush after him, blowing his cover. Slapping her hand on her forhead, she groaned as she watched. Bankotsou leapt up trying to catch his boyfriend to apologize. Bankotsou stopped and stared at them like a deer in headlights. Coughing and bowing, he continued his run. Kagome glared at the bush. 'Let's hope there is no more spy's!' She thought angrily.





Bank and Jak were really gonna get it tomorrow.
Sesshomaru nodded. "Intresting friends you have, Kagome." Kagome coughed and blushed."They were probably out for a stroll. You know those two. They really love to be togeather." She couldn't look at him. They both knew Jak and Bank had been spying on them. 'Cruel fates!' The girl thought unhappily. Sesshomaru raised his claw hand and gave a flick. He noticed Kagome's upset person and for some odd factor, this displeased him. For some reason, he wanted her to smile for him again.





Kagome turned to see the largest bowl of vanilla ice cream in the world. Sesshomaru repressed his chuckle when he saw her eyes glow. He had asked for the works. Three full cans of air whipped whip cream had been put in that bowl. A couple of cups of hot fudge. Chocolate chips and even little gummie bears. He watched in amusment as her eyes widened with childish delight. Turning to him, she gave him an astounding smile. His heart beat quickened. Nodding, the waiter gave Kagome a large spoon.





Kagome hesitiated. "Seshomaru.." She began. Sesshomaru looked at her curiously, a silver brow raised in questioning. Raising her face to his, she gave him a shy smile. "Could you please help me eat this? I couldn't possibly by myself." She said shyly. Sesshomaru's eyes widened. He hadn't eaten ice cream since he was a pup. Nodding slowly, causing a giggle from Kagome, he took a spoon from the waiter.





Blinking, he watched Kagome take alot of the whip cream, "I know your weakness now, Kagome." Kagome's eyes widened worriedly. Did he know her feelings and worries about him now? Sesshomaru smirked. "Ice cream." Kagome giggled as she popped the spoon in her mouth. "Hai, you have Sesshomaru!" Sesshomaru blinked and watched her eat the ice cream. He had never seen something so innocently sensual. The spoon always came out of her dainty mouth perfectly clean. She closed her eyes in delight and smiled genuiley.





Her little tounge flicked acrossed it gently and those perfect looking rose buds seemed to open gently for the spoon. Shaking his head, he noticed Kagome staring at him ."Your not eating! Here!" She took his claw hand, ignoring the way it shook the both of them as heat passed from one another's flesh and dipped it in the ice cream. Smiling and letting go of his claw, she continued eating. Sesshomaru looked at the frozen confection on his utensil.





Taking it slowly to his chiseled ips, he saw Kagome nodding. Rolling his eyes, he popped it in his mouth. Surgary Heaven. His eyes widening a bit then returning to normal, Sesshomaru actullay began partaking in the icecream feast. Kagome giggled as they fought for the last of it. "It's mine!" She pouted. Sesshomaru had the last bit on his spoon. Sesshomaru smirked as those adorable lips pulled into a cute frown. "Well then here." He purred.





He then extended his arm and put the spoon to her lips as he held it. Kagome blushed. This felt so right. Opening her mouth, Sesshomaru carefully placed it in. Eating it, she opened her mouth and he drew it out. Both stared at eachother for a long time. "Here's the bill, Sesshomaru-sama." The waitress for the night said politley. Sesshomaru drew his eyes almost unwillingly from her's. Signing the cheque and placing it on the tray, he nodded.





Raising from the chair and extending his arm to Kagome, the two walked out. Sesshomaru noticed the surrounding male's infernal staring again. He growled as he scowled around he restaurant at the men. He wanted them to back off. He walked by a boy, still clasping Kagome's arm and snarled at him when he whistled under his breath while looking at Kagome. Sesshomaru glared as the boy retreated. Nodding in pride, they continued on their way.





The valor bowed low to the floor and appeared with Sesshomaru's car. He inspected it. It was just as it was before. Having the valor open the door for Kagome, both stepped in. "Kagome, I do not wish to go to the movie's." Sesshomaru said tersly. Kagome looked at him as she noticed the Inu youkai's impatience...and...anger? Sesshomaru didn't want to go to the movies. Boy and youkai men would be there. And like the perverted hentai's they were, they would stare. He had already noticed that some had risen to talk to her. That wasn't allowed.





"Sesshomaru...did I do something wrong?" Her quiet voice intruded his thoughts. He turned to see her eyes wide with her hurt."No." He said shortly. Kagome sighed. Her eyes widened ."How about the park? We could just....talk?" She trailed off. It sounded stupid. But she had always wanted a stroll in the park with a handsome date. Sesshomaru nodded. That would do nicely. It was dark, no men would be able to stare at her without seeing her features.





Stopping the car, both stepped out. Kagome grasped his arm. He noticed her shivering. On impulse, he drew her more into him and sat down on a bench. Kagome blushed. "Sesshomaru, this was the most beautiful night of my life. I never thought it could have been with you, but it was. Arigatou." She said quietly as she blushed becomingly. Sesshomaru nodded. The moon was out. It's light illuminated her features, causing a supernatural beauty to her. Chucking his claw underneath her chin, he rose her face to his. "I also thank you, Kagome." He noticed her shudder as he said her name.





She smiled brightly up at him, confusing him even more."Why do you smile, now. I did nothing." He asked stoicly. Kagome smiled again. "You said my name. Before it was just girl or Higurashi." She whispered. Sesshomaru blinked. To be so easily amused by just having her name said was odd. He noticed her full lips parting. He looked at those morsels. He had wanted to taste them all night. 'Perhaps this Sesshomaru should taste with what he will have to put up with for a night.' He thought. His youkai growled in happiness.






Leaning forward, catching her dazed look, he pressed his chiseled lips upon hers. Kagome felt her breathing and heart stop. He kissed her. This meant he liked her..right? She noticed his arms coming around her and bringing her into his body more. Her eyes fluttering closed like butterfly wings, Kagome leaned into him. Feeling her submission, Sesshomaru purred. He opened his mouth and slowly brought his tounge to trace her lips. Kagome shivered at the delicious feelings going up and down her spine.





He brought her more into him, smelling her heady scent of sakura blossoms and vanilla. Purring and feeling her breasts tightly pushed upon his chest, he felt her open her mouth shyly to his. Growling in pride and happiness, he dove his tounge languidly into her mouth. Kagome sighed into the kiss. His tounge twirled with hers and he seemed to be sucking out all the resistance and energy inside of her. Her hands closed around his neck as she started to feeling a warmth building in her abdomen.





Sesshomaru was swimming in her scent and taste. Heavenly. Better tasting, feeling and smelling then he had ever thought. Perhaps better then Kagura? 'No! She is ningen! Just kiss her to make her like you!' A little voice snarled. Sesshomaru drew back from the kiss. He looked down to see her large eyes open slowly, showing emotion and suprise."Sesshomaru...." She whispered, those lips teasing him again. He then quickly fastened his lips onto hers, tasting her honey taste again.





His tounge traced everything in her mouth and lips. He brought her to him and tried to make her a second skin. He enjoyed her little intakes of breath as they kissed searing kisses. He kissed her face, her eyelids and the corners of her mouth. He stopped and kissed the end of her nose. Pulling her into his lap, they looked the stars. "Sesshomaru..?" Her quiet voice called out.





Sesshomaru nodded. "Hai?" Kagome then snuggled into his warmth. "Arigatou. I really do like you. This was a perfect night. Thank you." His golden eyes were then raised to the stars. "Yes. I know you do." He whispered more to himself then to her, irony filling the space between them.
