Why do you repress,
These feelings,

Is keep us apart,
Dear one.

Kagome sighed and leapt on her bed, snuggling into the warmth and comfort known as cotton. Standing up, she watched as Sesshomaru backed out of her laneway and started heading home. Smiling goofily, Kagome sat on the silk covered chair before her dresser. Her eyes widened as she noticed the soft look in her eyes and the silliness of her smile. Blushing as she remembered his heated kisses, Kagome scowled.

'One date. One date and I'm like Jell-o. Despicable.' She thought in confusion. Turning and looking into the mirror, she felt tears well up in her eyes. She was so confused. She really did like Sesshomaru. But it was only one date. 'A date that was the most beautiful night in my life..' The girl thought sadly.

Undressing and putting on her bunny pajamma's, Kagome lay in her bed between the warm sheets. She stared up at the cieling in confusion, happiness, anger and depression. Could she trust him? After all, Kagura had been his whore. And he was part of her group. But he was so polite, gentle, kind tonight.....

Kagome leaned over on her side and turned on her lava lamp. She watched as the gooey, pink stuff bubble up for a while as the sparkles inside twirled around. Sitting up and keeping the sheets around her as a comfort, she pondered. Was it a lie? Was that the real Sesshomaru? Could they.... Kagome paused and bite her bottom lip. Sighing and looking out her window at the stars she smiled a bit. Could they have a future?

Sesshomaru parked his car in one of the six garages of his father's mansion. Ignoring Jaken's whines of him seeing a ningen, Sesshomaru walked in. Izayoi, Inu Yasha's mother, walked towards him. "Was your night nice, Sesshomaru?" She asked kindly, her black eyes soft. Sesshomaru looked at her indifferently. "It was fine. Where is my Father?" He asked stoicly as he glared down at the ningen. Izayoi sighed. "He is in his brooding room. The one on the left near our compartments." Sesshomaru nodded stiffly and walked down the marble halls.

Izayoi watched her step-son leave and as he did so, it seemed like the aritc wind with him. Sitting on a plush chair, Izayoi repressed her tears. Why did he hate her so much? She loved him as a mother would. Sighing, Izayoi walked down the halls, ignoring the splendid luxury around her. Sesshomaru had been hurt before. And badly. He trusted no ningen. Not even she, even though she had been with his father for centuries now. Stopping near a mirror, she stared at the beautiful ningen inside the mirror. Touching her still beautiful, unaged face, Izayoi smiled an ironic smile.

Since Inu Taisho-koi had marked her that fateful night, she had not aged a year. Such would be expected, for they shared the same lifespan. Izayoi sighed lovingly at the memory of her beloved, beautiful mate. Lord of the Western Lands and as handsome as he had been all those years ago. Izayoi blushed as she remembered their first night. And how he protected her and Inu Yasha from Ryukko, the evil youkai who wished to kill them to effect her mate.

She was a hime. A beautiful, ancient princess who had fallen in love with Inu Taisho. One day he had been passing through her lands as she was picking flowers, depressed from hearing that she was to be forced to marry an old alliance of her father's. Inu Taisho had been wandering, looking for Ryukko who had killed his first mate, Oko mother of Sesshomaru. Izayoi blushed and let the tears fall as she remembered........

Sighing, the young princess picked a nearby rose. Frowning as she thought of her new future before her, she concentrated. 'Father is wrong. I could never love Hojio-sama. He is older and unattractive. He has a harlem of geisha's and is only looking to expanding his lands. I will be naught but a trinket to the Soutern Lord.' The princess thought angrily. Not noticing the sharp thorns on the roses as she continued picking, she gasped as a thorn pricked her finger.

Whimpering, she stiffened in shock as a purple stripped claw gently grabbed her hand. Dropping the rose buds, Izayoi felt her breath leave her. A pair of beautiful amber eyes looked into her own. He was a youkai. A beautiful youkai. Jagged purple stripes decored his face as a blue crescent moon lay on his smooth forhead. His eyes were slanted and had a gorgeous, golden hue. He had white/silver, purple tinted hair. He wore lots of armour with an extravagent cape. Two katannas hung on his waist. A furry tail hung over his shoulder. Izayoi felt him pull her towards him more.

"Waga hime, I do believe you should be more careful." He murmured as he wrapped her hand in a peice of cloth. Izayoi looked up at him in a stupor. His heated amber eyes shocked and fired her. "Ar-Arigatou...?" She trailed off. What was his name? He smiled, showing pearly white fangs. "Inu Taisho. Inu Taisho-sama of the West." Izayoi stood in shock, her hand still gently clasped in his. The youkai Lord of the West? Blinking, she melted when he flashed her another heart stopping smile.

"And you are Uransi Izayoi-hime of the South?" He asked politley. Izayoi blushed and bowed lowly, her hand sadly unclasped from his warm, comforting claw. "Hai. Knoochi wa, My Lord." She said in a whisper soft voice for she was so suprised and shocked. "No need to bow before me, my beautiful hime." His smooth, honey voice soothed her. The two stared into eachother's eyes, a soul seering connection bonding them immediatly. Izayoi watched in confusion as he froze, his body stiffening. He then stood up straight, his face hard.

"I must be leaving. Ja ne, waga hime." He whispered in her ear. Izayoi turned to see him leave with sadness. The youkai lord stopped and turned to her. He gave a small smile. "I will be back."

Izayoi sighed as she continued sitting on the plush chair. After that meeting, so many others happened. She soon found her desperatly in love with the youkai. Every night she would risk her family's honor and her life to do simple things with the Lord. Walks through the forest. Talks of crops and lands. Simple, silent evenings of looking at the stars. Sighing again, she remembered when he had asked after so many nights of simple, loving meetings. He had asked her to be his mate. She had excitedly accepted, crying from happiness.

Soon she found herself mating with the Lord, crying out her pleasure. His touch, caress and pants excited her to no end. The next day, she was in her room, a bite mark on her neck. Her father was suspicious and had a miko check her for any defilement. She was found broken, her chasity gone. After a month of dishonor, she was shaken to the core when she found she was pregnent. Inu Taisho-sama was no where to be found and she was to be executed with her child.

Inu Taisho had come in time to save her from the execution and their child. Her father had later died from a heat attack, leaving her in charge of the kingdom. Then a hanyou boy, Inu Yasha, was born in a forest after the saving. Inu Taisho comforted his shaken mate and promised no matter what, he would protect her. And he did. So many times. The problem between them was that Inu Taisho's lands were rebelling against him for he had claimed her as his one and only love and mate.

She had to stay in her palace with her now dead father's advisers who scorned and hated her little hanyou and herself. After a few years of harsh treatment, Izayoi was with her mate. Centuries after, she was still with him. "My Lady, you are to go to your room. Inu Tiasho-sama has requested so." A nearby servant said calmly. Izayoi smiled excitedly. Tonight, she would show her beloved how she still cherished him.

Inu Taisho looked at the stock market papers before him. Sighing, he turned to see his elder son before his desk. Leaning back into his chair, Inu Taisho nodded solemnly. "How may I help you, Sesshomaru?" He asked idly as he looked at his Sengoku armour on the wall with Tessaiga and Tensaiga that hung beside it. Sesshomaru raised a brow. "I was merely wishing to ask if you have had any news on my marketing scheme." Inu Taisho nodded. "Hai. It was approved excitedly by my ministration. But besides that, I heard from Jaken you went on a outing with a ningen onna."

Sesshomaru froze and repressed a growl. 'Jaken will pay dearly for this disgrace.' He thought coldly. Inu Tiasho noticed his son's anger.
"Do not be dishonoured, Sesshomaru. Being intrested in a ningen onna is acceptable. Look at your mother-"
"That ningen is not my mother."
Sesshomaru bite out coldly. Inu Taisho glared at his son. "Not in blood, you are right. I have requested you to treat Izayoi with respect, Sesshomaru." Sesshomaru sneered. "Of course Outo. Why would I not respect the woman filth that replaced my own mother?"

Inu Taisho snarled at his son and in a moment, was before him. Their powers were evenly matched. Their intelligence as well. Their arrogance and violence were too sadly. "You will not speak so sourly of my mate, Sesshomaru." Inu Taisho growled at his same heighted son. Sesshomaru looked into the eyes so much like his own. "As you wish, Outo." He said coldly as he left the room. Inu Taisho watched the cherry wood door slam into place. Growling, he sat on a nearby chair in his office. Opening a locked cabinet, he gently took out a wrinkled, ancient portrait.

A woman with golden eyes and white hair looked at him gently. Her skin like alabaster and had the markings of Sesshomaru. Tracing his claw over the picture lovingly, Inu Taisho sighed. "Oko." He breathed. He loved Izayoi with all his heart. He truly did. But there was still a peice meant for only his dear Oko, who had been slain so ruthessly. Standing and walking out of his dormain, he continued to his bedroom. Stress, anger, sadness, work and such small requirments drained him.
