Chapter 15

Inuyasha, Miroku, and Shippau walked down the mountain to continue their journey through the Desert of Illusions. The sun was beating down on there backs and the lush grass was soft beneath there feet.

"Inuyasha, I don't mean to be a bother but what was that mist you told Neko about?"

Inuyasha sighed and glanced at Shippau, "When I came to the lake there was mist."

Shippau sighed as well knowing this was all the information he would get out of Inuyasha.

Miroku looked at Inuyasha walking in front of him, "Inuyasha, this isn't like you. Usually when Kagome is in trouble, you run so fast after her its not funny."

Inuyasha, "sigh"

"All these obstacles and not once have I had to fight anything. All I have done is save Shippau from the Shikans and invite you along to get a girl back with her man."

"Inuyasha, have you had any dreams lately?"

Inuyasha turned and looked at Miroku. "Why?"

"Keade said you would most likely have dreams about Kagome."

"Why did the old woman say that?"

"She said as a Miko Kagome would somehow cause you to have dreams about her."

Sigh…

They stopped for camp at the bottom of the mountain and drank water from the lake. Shippau caught a fish and cooked it for them. Inuyasha, though enjoying the food, was staring across the lake at the mist.

"Do you see that?"

Miroku and Shippau spoke in unison, "No…"

That night Inuyasha slept more uneasily then usual. His mind was awake all night. (a/n I know that when you sleep your brain is still working but it seemed like a good thing to say^_^)

Inuyasha sat under the moon on a tree branch. His black hair was draped across his shoulders. The top part of his robe was gone only leaving the white under shirt. Kagome lay in his lap, the top of his robe lying over her.

Inuyasha looked down at her, his eyes full of emotion and whispered, "Kagome…"

She looked back up at him and smiled staring deep into his golden eyes. "Inuyasha"

Inuyasha embraced her tightly and whispered her name again. She returned the hug by wrapping her arms around his neck and kissing his cheek. Inuyasha's eyes looked deeply into hers as he bent down and slowly kissed her lips in return.

"Oh Inuyasha. I'm so glad you're with me…"

"Kagome, I want to know something."

Kagome laid her head on his chest and fiddled her finger through his hair, "yes Inuyasha?"

"Do you trust me?"

She opened her eyes and looked at him. "Of course Inuyasha…Do you love me?"

Inuyasha closed his eyes and sighed. He opened them again and brought Kagome closer to him. He kissed her again. "I…"

He suddenly jolted forward forcing Kagome away from him. His hair was turning white. His eyes grew red and he snarled. He grabbed Kagome digging his claws into her. Blood seeped through her dress.

"Inuyasha!!!" Kagome tried to push him away and in result she lost her balance on the tree and fell. "Inuyasha help!"

He looked down at he and laughed. "I never loved you I just used you!" He yelled in a deep voice.

End of chapie. My chapters are usually varied in size, my average would be three pages a chapie. Well, plz review!
