Inuyasha was cast into complete darkness. His heart seemed to be on fire. It was the only feeling coursing through his seemingly dead body. He tried to open his eye-lids but they felt like 80 ton weights. All sound was drowned out, not even the ringing of complete silence could reach his sound sensitive ears.

Kagome looked at his body and then back at Koyaki and Shippau. She was lost in intense grief and anger. Nothing could lighten the load she was now bearing.

"You should have ran fox!"

"Why? Scared to fight me?"

Koyaki laughed devilishly and stared Shippau in the eye. He held his katana in front of him and smirked. "Fight."

Shippau needed no signaling of a start. As Koyaki finished saying his word Shippau had flown into the air with his knife held over his head.

He moved is sword in front of him and directed it over Koyaki's head. Koyaki lifted his sword above his head as a shield. It glowed an endless black again. Shippau smacked against it and fell to the ground coughing up blood.

Koyaki loomed over him and snickered as if killing this fox demon was like taking candy from a baby. He held his sword out ready to strike.

Kagome fell to her knees and quaked with terror. Her anger rose to an unbearable point. It bubbled under her skin and she was ready to burst.

Kagome let a blood curdling escape her lips as a blinding white light left her body. The light slowly cleared. She was no longer the familiar Kagome that chased after shards with her friends.

Her eyes were a white and a white glow engulfed her body. She stood up gracefully and looked at Koyaki with her white eyes.

His sword had fallen to her side and he gawked up at Kagome. He was motionless. Kagome glided slowly towards him. She was a foot in front of him and held out her arms. She touched his arm.

Koyaki felt a warm sensation tingling through his arm. Then the tingling increased and he shook. His arm was burning. It was glowing a brilliant white now. Then it fell at his side, dead.

Shippau stared at them in awe. That thought crept into his head. `She is the one. That feeling was true…'

Koyaki stepped back and tripped over Shippau's body. He fell to the ground still staring at Kagome. She moved in on him. Kagome glided over Shippau and as the light touched him, he began to heal. His wounds closed and his bleeding stopped. He still stared at Kagome.

Kagome sat down beside Koyaki who was frozen from fear. She touched him and once again the light glowed on him and the part of the body she touched fell limp. Then Kagome reached out her hand and touched Koyaki's heart.

Everything darkened and went black as Koyaki was cast into the flames of hell.

Shippau was standing up now and leaning over his dear friend Inuyasha. Kagome was now walking towards him.

Shippau stepped back as she knelt at Inuyasha's side. She bent own over him and gently grazed his lips with hers. Then her glow disappeared and she fell limp over him.

Inuyasha felt himself being pulled from the shadow of death. He opened his eyes and saw Kagome lying on him.

He hugged Kagome and sat up cradling her in his lap. Then all that he had done returned to him

I killed Miroku. I tried to kill Shippau. I…died. I was letting myself be pulled into hell. Where is Koyaki?

He looked around in alarm and then set his eyes upon Koyaki's lifeless body.

Inuyasha stood up, holding Kagome in his arms gently. He could feel that she was alive and was happy at that. He nodded to Shippau. Shippau nodded in understanding. They would walk in silence until Inuyasha was ready to talk about the happings.

The only thing he felt now was deep remorse for Miroku and happiness at knowing Kagome's feelings for him.
