Inuyasha drops his sword "My Kikyo.." He says softly. Kikyo turns around and smiles "Inuyasha...come with me..Do this with me. Once I have this girl's soul i'll be free again..Then we shall spend eternity together." Inuyasha begins walking toward Kikyo "No you don't!" Miroku says as he digs his staff into the ground in front of Inuyasha so he can't go any further. Sango throws her bommerang at Inuyasha's head and he falls to the ground knocked out.
Kagome remains pinned against the tree with Kikyo's soul gatherer's wrapped around her neck choking her. She begins breathing heavily and wimpering. "Inu..Yasha..please." Kagome says softly. Kikyo turns back to Kagome grinning evily. She points the arrow at her once again. "Good-bye." Kikyo says softly. She shoots, the arrow glides toward Kagome.
Inuyasha wakes up in a daze as he hears Kagome's soft voice calling for him. He sees the arrow only inches away from piercing her delicate heart. Inuyasha struggles to move. To get in front of Kagome and let the arrow pierce through his heart instead of hers. "No..." He reaches out his trembling hand to Kagome. His body lay mangled on the ground. *Why can't I move?*
Kagome closes her eyes tightly waiting for the ordeal pain of the arrow to pierce her. "I don't think so." A mysterious figure jumps out of the trees and acculeratley kicks the arrow aside. The arrow curves left and mar's Kagome's left arm deeply. She screams in agony as the pain increases.
"I'll get you..just wait and see.." Kikyo says to Kagome. The figure of Kikyo disappears as her soul gatherer's lift her up into the night sky. Kagome falls to the ground on her hands and knees coughing. She lightly touches her neck were the soul gatherer that was choking her left a burn. The deep cut on her arm pulses with pain. "You're going to be okay now." Says a deep mysterious voice.
Kagome looks up and gasps. A man wearing all black is standing above her. "Than.." She begins but the man left to quickly for her to finish. "Wait!" She screams. As the man jumps back up into the treetops and is no longer visible. * I wonder..who that man was..*
She gets up slowly and sees Inuyasha who's still mangled on the ground from afar. * I can't believe Inuyasha didn't try to save me...he was going to kill me with Kikyo ..* Kagome fights back tears as she tries to get that thought out of her mind. She wanted to yell at Inuyasha so bad. But instead she kept her feelings bottled up inside of her heart.
She slowly walks over to him and offers him her hand. He grabs it and pulls himself up trying to get his balance back.and Inuyasha are face-to-face. The wind russeling Inuyasha's Kamoto's and blowing Kagome's soft black hair prudently. They stand in silence with nothing but the wind whistling. Inuyasha knows that he hurt Kagome..He can see it in her eyes. "How could you?" Kagome says sadly trying to remember that she wanted to keep her feelings inside. "I'm sorry..." Inuyasha says. Kagome looks up at him not saying a word. * always sorry Inuyasha..is that the only thing you can say to me?*
They begin walking back to the village still quiet. Inuyasha gets wrapped up in his thoughts. *Who was that man..who saved Kagome?..I'm sorry Kagome..I'm sorry that it wasn't me..* Inuyasha looks down at the grass still wrapped up in his thoughts. Kagome looks at Inuyasha with a meloncholy look on her face. *Maybe I would be better off leaving here and never returning..*
Kagome sits in kieades hut "Whats botherng ye Kagome?" Kagome glances at kieade and tells her about what happened in the forest. "Kagome I don't think he knew what he was doing at the time....try talking to him, it might help maybe he wants to apoligize." Kagome looks at Kieade sort of shocked. *Inuyasha apoligize to ME .* "you're joking right?" Kieade doesn't respond but she quietly gasps as she remembers something she has to tell Kagome.
Inuyasha leans against the well *why...why did that happen? Kagome almost died..because of me..* He stands up "That's it from now on I won't let anything come between me and Kagome" he looks at the ground *not even Kikyo...*
Back at the hut Kagome continues talking to Kieade. Kieade inturupts "Kagome..I have something to tell ye" Kieade says her voice breaking "Hm?" Kagome looks at Kieade wanting to know what's wrong, "I saw this happen..in my mind a preminition I supose..I saw it all happen,Kikyo is going to kill ye. She wants a soul so she can be alive again. and since ye are her reincarnation. she wants ye's. She'll do anything for it she'll even kill ye..." Kagome gasps and her eyes begin to water "This is ye fate child.." Kieade tells her "But..isn't there..some way to-" Kagome begins but then Kieade intuerupts "Yes, there is ONE way to stop this from occuring...but only Inuyasha can change ye fate. Ye musn't say anything to anyone. The only two people who are suposed to know are you and Inuyasha and myself of course.But Inuyasha does not know of this yet,don't worrie he will when the time is right ye MUSN'T say anything to him." Kieade says "I..I won't..."Kagome says in shock. "I'm going to go lay down." Kagome says she crawls into her sleeping bag and spaces out. *but how will Inuyasha...change my fate he's still in love with Kikyo. He wouldn't risk everything for me....would he?* Kagome closes her eyes. Still upset, she falls asleep.
