" I love you!!"
Kagome's small form was lying across the fallen hanyou while those dark
orbs were staring hatefully up at the dead priestess.
" Damn you Kikyou! You can't have him.....Please....Just a little longer"
Kikyou had just looked to her reincarnation and smirked darkly. She knew
that the hanyou was finally going to be hers in hell. Where no one....
especially that girl will be able to get in the middle and drive them apart
as Naraku had done 50 years ago. Kikyou stepped towards them and held a hand out
towards his body. At this point Inuyasha began to glow, his soul.....it was
coming out of him to join Kikyou in Hell.
Kagome cried and screamed his name before leaning down and kissing him hard.
Her tears fell and rolled off his cheeks. Her body shook violently from
the sobbing that was raging through her. Kagome cried so hard, she had
not noticed Inuyasha stir and she failed to feel him move. She was kissing
him softly now, about to pull away when she felt his strong arms come up
and grab ahold of her. And then......he kissed her back!
Inuyasha was kissing her back! Sango and Miroku had woken up by now and both
were turning shades of red at the sight. Kiara was hiding Shippou's young
kitsune eyes from such a scene.
Kikyou seethed hot anger inside.
" Kagome......I lov..."
The hanyou's words were interrupted as Kagome was flown a good twenty feet
from him. An angry dead priestess was seen heading towards the fallen
girl. Kikyou's spirit glowed an odd reddish color. Her expression had
transformed into one of pure hate. She stood over the girl ready to attack.
" He is mine! I will not allow you....or anyone else to have his heart. He must
not forget me! Ever!" Kikyou had her hand raised to strike the miko when
hi voice rang out sharply.
" Kikyou! If you touch her....I swear on my last breath I will kill you myself."
Inuyasha had gotten to his feet slowly, and he had his trusty sword drawn and aimed
at her. Kikyou looked at him in shock.
" Inuyasha.....can't you see that she has bewitched you?! Inu.... She isn't like
us. Come with me.....Where we are meant to be together. We can finish what was
interrupted so long ago" She had moved away from Kagome and was pleading
with Inuyasha, holding onto his shirt. Kagome could not watch this.
She had just confessed her love for him and he was letting Kikyou hold him?!
She was hurt.
"No Kikyou......No. My place is here....with Kagome. And my friends. But most of
all with Kagome....if I leave now....who will watch over her? Protect her?"
" Who cares Inu?! she can handle herself. She defeated Naraku all alone. She doesnt
need you anymore.....Inuyasha...I love you"
She touched his face softly, and his expression softened. He looked at Kagome
and he gave her a loving smile.
Kagome felt her hopes soar through the skies.
In the next second......
Inuyasha kissed Kikyou.
He kissed long and passionately.
He buried his fingers into her phantom hair.
She breathed him in, clawing at his clothes.
She harshly thrust her phantom tongue into his mouth.
Kagome's heart broke....
