Last Chapter

What she saw made her want to curl up into a ball and disappear………

Chapter 2: Heartless

Kagome wanted to remove her gaze but couldn't.

She watched Inuyasha thrust himself into a young youkai woman that had sky blue shoulder length hair, a crescent shaped scar on her right cheek, similar dog-ears to Inuyasha and glistening blue eyes that stared into her Inuyasha's golden orbs.

Every moan that released from their lips echoed in Kagome's ears making her heart ache with regret. She wept silently continuing to listen to their intimacy and watch their bodies entwine.

She watched as Inuyasha gave one last thrust into the youkai and slightly trembled.

"Ri………omi." His voice quivered out.

Kagome felt her heart break in two when he said the youkai's name at his release. She couldn't hold back any longer.

With all her will power she stepped forward and made her presence known.

"Inuyasha, how could you?" she cried out.

Inuyasha looked toward Kagome startled by her sudden appearance.

'I must have been too indulged within Riomi's scent to sense Kagome.' He pondered quickly.

"Who is this Inu-chan?" the youkai named Riomi cooed out unashamed of her exposure.

Kagome winced at the nickname given to the hanyou.

"Answer me Inuyasha!" she stated sternly in between sobs.

For the first time in Kagome's presence Inuyasha was at a lost for words. He brought himself to his feet pulled his red fire rat haori to his waist.

"How could you be so heartless?" Kagome wailed out.

"Ooo………I see, is this your shard detector Inu-chan?" Riomi questioned with a smirk resting upon her lips.

"Is that all I am to you, Inuyasha a shard detector?" Kagome wailed.

Inuyasha was torn between the questions and jaded from his recent discharge.

"What does it matter to you Kagome? I only need a few more shards and the jewel is complete then you can go back and stay in your own time!" Inuyasha growled out.

Behind Inuyasha, Riomi slipped on her dark blue kimono and snaked her arms around the hanyou.

Kagome let out another loud cry.

She turned her back to them and shakily walked away, but before she disappeared behind the tall trees she turned her head.

"I hope he make you happy, Riomi. SIT!" she yelled harshly. After hearing a bone-cracking thud she ran as fast as her legs could take her towards the Bone Eaters Well.

She slowed herself down when the well came into view. Then she collapsed to her knees and sobbed away what little pain she could. "How………" she repeated between wails.

Kagome reduced her cries to short gasps and wiped her eyes roughly leaving her face irritated and flushed.

'Inuyasha will pay for hurting me, he will not go unpunished.' She deliberated to herself.

Instead of jumping down the well she picked up her yellow pack and headed to Lady Kaede's hut her heart filled with hatred for the hanyou and his whore.
