I currently can't update my website, not until I get a hold of some friends who are in different time zones. **huggles her wonderful friends** And I have limited computer time at home. I have a wonderful fulltime job, (I work as a graphic artist at a sign, shirt screening, embroidery shop). It keeps me busy.
Anyway, this was written during finals week at school and edited at home. Once more, I prove that I can't keep anything cute or happy for too long.
Enjoy! And as always, comments and criticisms are welcome.

Kagome winced as Inuyasha tossed her to the ground. He had flown faster and farther than ever before. No change and his mind was more coherent than it had ever been.
The young girl dusted herself off and looked up at the near stranger standing in front of her. She opened her mouth to activate the spell on the rosary but just looking at him stopped her. His body radiated danger. Kagome swallowed, her throat dry.
Inuyasha scared her.
A low growl and his intense gaze froze her. He even barked at her when she attempted to possibly move around him and out of the cave. Suddenly, he stalked up to her and grabbed her harshly by the upper arms. Kagome let out a surprised squeak but stayed as silent as she could.
He held her close and began to sniff at her. She tried her best not to react as his nose became buried in her neck and hair. She almost giggled when he nuzzled his nose against her throat. His nose was cool cold but his lips were very warm. They brushed over the hallow of her throat, burning her.
Inuyasha went to his knees, still holding her tightly. His hands were now at her waist, the grip on her hips almost painful. He pressed his face against her stomach. A moment later he pushed up her shirt and laid his cheek against the bare skin of her belly. The sniffing never stopped, not even when his nose moved lower. His face became pressed against her crotch.
"Inuyasha!" she hissed. She tried to pull away from him. He tumbled her to the ground. Kagome cried out in pain and her eyes filled with tears. She jumped when she felt his sharp fangs nip at the insides of her thighs. "What...what are you doing?" she asked quietly. She hoped to distract him as his mouth got closer to her underwear.
"You are my mate. I want to taste you."
"Inuyasha, no. Not right now. We...I...I'm about to cycle." Kagome swallowed nervously and hoped that he would believe her. He sniffed at her groin, his nose bumping against her. She did her best not to betray the new feeling that came with his touch. He must be able to hear her heart beat.
Finally he pulled away and nipped at her stomach as he climbed over her body. He licked at her throat and then did something that she never really ever considered. He cupped her breast and felt the rapid beat of her pulse. He then nodded. "You want to, but now is not the right time."
Kagome didn't argue with him. Now was definitely not the time to be doing any kind of touching. He climbed off of her and allowed her to sit up. She pulled her clothes back into place and then hugged her knees to her chest. Her blood pounded in her ears.
"Inuyasha? Can...can we go back?"
"No. We're staying here. I don't want that wolf to look at you. You are my mate."
Kagome sighed dejectedly. She looked over at him and found that he was looking out towards the setting sun. For the first time since entering the cave, his youkai form wasn't frightening. He looked calm and very confident. However, there was still a harshness to his eyes. He was dangerous now, even to her. It made her shiver.
"You're cold."
"I'll be fine."
"Make a fire. I'll hunt." He stood and walked out of the cave. There was no threat at her to stay in the cave. He still trusted her. That made her stay. Even with the threat of her life, her body, her virginity at stake, she would not betray that trust.
Kagome watched after him and as the moon rose, she found her hope. Only a sliver remained. The next night would be the new moon. She drew in a deep breath as an idea began to form.
It would work, she decided internally. It would have to work.

When Inuyasha returned, he had two dead animals with him. One he had already skinned and gutted, the other was much smaller and he had carried it in his mouth.
He carefully placed the large kill on the spit which surprised Kagome. Kouga had eaten his meat raw or salted and dried. She had supposed that this form of Inuyasha would want to do the same.
"Is..is that a rabbit?" He still hadn't removed it from his mouth. Inuyasha nodded and his red eyes looked at her expectantly. Kagome swallowed nervously and then went over to him.
She took the dead rabbit from his mouth. It was small and soft in her hands. He had killed it cleanly; very little blood had spilled onto the fur.
"Wh-why?" she stuttered. She looked at Inuyasha who was regarding her carefully. "I mean..we have enough to eat with this," she gestured to the roasting animal.
"This isn't to eat."
"Oh." Kagome looked at the rabbit in her hands. Inuyasha was silent. He expected her to understand this, but try as she might, she couldn't figure it out. It was significant and important to him, that much she could tell. "Inuyasha...what do I..."
"You took my offered kill. Take its blood and mark your face."
Kagome tried to control her gag reflex. Blood was not something that she normally put her fingers in. "I don't have anything to cut the throat again with," she whispered.
"Your claws will be fine."
She looked at her nails and tried not to shudder as she reopened the wound. The blood sluggishly dripped out of the throat and onto her fingers. Delicately she painted the red paste onto her cheeks and forehead.
Inuyasha picked up the dead animal once more with his mouth and then tossed the carcass onto the fire pit. It burnt quickly.
"You have taken my kill and accepted it. You are closer to my mate."
Kagome just nodded. "Of course, Inuyasha." She forced a swallow of bile back down her throat. She wouldn't throw up. She knew he was a youkai and that they did not have normal ways of courtship. She was going to accept this.
She was so lost in her thoughts that she was surprised to feel Inuyasha lay his head in her lap. Instinct took over and she began to lightly run her fingers through his hair.
"I'm not supposed to be like this, am I."
Kagome closed her eyes sadly but didn't stop her ministrations. "No, you're not, Inuyasha."
"Do you still love me?"
Silent tears fell from her eyes but she wiped them away before he could notice. "Of course. I will never stop loving you. Never."

The next morning, Kagome awoke to the feeling of something warm nudging her stomach. She opened her eyes to find that she was laying near the fire pit.
The warmth came from Inuyasha. His face was against the naked skin of her belly and he was licking at it. Kagome blushed as his tongue washed over her. She jumped when she felt his teeth nip at her flesh.
She bit her lower lip and then clenched his hair to show she was awake. Inuyasha, however, did not take that has a sign to stop. His licks and bites became more frequent. He pushed her shirt up more and began to move his mouth up her body.
"Inuyasha." Kagome tugged at his hair. "Inuyasha, stop."
The inuhanyou paused and then reluctantly pulled away from her skin. His red eyes looked up at her with confusion as he crawled so he was laying next to her. He didn't seem to care that he had placed half of his weight on her.
"You taste good," he murmured. Inuyasha placed a soft nip at her throat. He licked her twice. Before Kagome could tell him to stop again, he began to purr.
"Thank you," was the only thing she found she could say to that. He shifted again and pulled Kagome so her back was against his chest. He nipped at the back of her neck and shoulder. "Inuyasha, what are you doing?"
"You're all stiff," he whined softly. "I'm trying to tell you that it's okay. I'm your mate, you don't have to be afraid of me."
"I'm not afraid of you," she insisted. She twitched when his purr changed to a growl. Her pulse increased and she stiffed when he lightly clawed one of her breasts.
"You cannot lie to me, mate. Your scent is marred by it. Your blood beats it. Your breath is harsh to my ears. You are scared of me."
She swallowed the lump in her throat. "I'm sorry, Inuyasha."
He harshly pulled away from her and stood. Kagome was slow to sit up as he glared down at her. "I am not your mate if you are afraid of me."
He left the cave. Kagome pulled her knees to her chest. Once more she began to cry. Her only hope was that Inuyasha would be normal when the sun set.
* * *
He ran wild.
Trees were slashed and toppled to the ground. Anger as he had never felt before was a part of his blood. It colored his vision, not red, but black.
His chosen mate was afraid of him. She desired him but always pushed away, fear becoming the brightest scent to color her. He wanted to mount her, but she pushed him away. His bitch was not submissive enough.
That's when he decided. Kagome would be marked by sunset. That would make her understand. She would see then how dedicated he would be. She would lose her fear.
When he entered the cave, she was warming some of the meat from the night before. The dried blood was visible on her cheeks and forehead. She was beautiful.
Kagome looked up and her eyes widened. She could feel the anger coming off of him. She wanted to placate him but wasn't given the chance to. Inuyasha pushed her against the wall.
She cried out softly and placed her hands on his chest. "Inuyasha, stop!" He growled at her softly. "Osu--"
It was their first kiss and it hurt. His teeth bit at her lips and his tongue invaded her mouth. Once the initial pain subsided, the kiss was deeply passionate.
Inuyasha roughly pulled at her skirt, shredding half of it. His claws gripped her hip painfully. Kagome whimpered and tried to push at his chest. When he stopped kissing her, his mouth remained only a whisper away from hers. Her breath harsh and shallow rang in her ears. It was too loud, screaming through the cave.
"Inuyasha...please...why are you doing this."
"You. Are. Mine. I don't want your fear. You push me away. Now I am making it so you can't."
Understanding dawned in her eyes. She slowly wound her arms around his neck. She took in a deep breath and then nodded. "I'm sorry," she whispered. "I didn't understand."
She didn't scream when his claws bit into her skin. Tears came to her eyes and she closed them tightly. He knelt down in front of her and began to suck at the wound he made. Kagome winced and wiped her tears away as the pain left. His mouth was almost healing the wound and she could feel it close.
The sun set.
Inuyasha suddenly whimpered. Kagome opened her eyes and then fell to her knees. Violet eyes looked at her in horror.
"Ka...Kago..me..."
"Inuyasha.." She began to crawl closer.
"Don't!" He stood. His hands were clenched into fists. His black hair covered his naked back from her. She could hear how is breath was harsh and shallow. "Damnit, Kagome I--"
"You tainted me."
He whirled around to see her still on her hands and knees. She was silently crawling towards him. Inuyasha barely recognized her. The blood was on her face, her skirt was nearly gone, her hair wild.
Primitive.
The magic of the mark he forced upon her made her deadly. Even in his human form, she attracted him.
"I have done something worse than rape."
Kagome didn't stop the fluid movement that brought her to him. She then wrapped her arms around one of his legs and pressed her face against his thigh.
"I will forgive you."

Miroku was at the front of Kouga's den when Kagome walked in. He had never thought to see the young woman ever in such a state. Her hair was a mess, oily and full of dirt and sticks. On her face was animal blood. Her skirt was nonexistent.
There was blood on her hip and a healing wound. Kagome met his eyes and visibly swallowed. "Inuyasha will be back in four days. We'll continue the shard hunt then. Where is his sword?"
Miroku handed it to her but she wouldn't take it. "Take it to him Miroku. I am going to speak to Kouga." The monk nodded and walked to the waterfall. "Miroku-sama."
He turned and tilted his head. "Yes, Kagome-sama?"
"Don't ask him what happened. If I want you to know, I'll tell you." She turned and walked deeper into the caves. The younger male wolves avoided her. Kouga was sitting in the center of his nest. He raised an eyebrow at her approach.
"Tell me about the Mark."
