It's easier to go

Chapter32 ...done...

Well thanks for my reviews and I wanted to let all of you know I am also listed on mm.org, and that there is a new chapter of ` Dance on ice` there, so check it out. It's more of a prelude actually but it has to be done! It's short but I hate doing action so... Read on! JA!

"You will have to answer for the crime you have comitted."a sharp voice bellowed throughout the darkness.

"It is good that you fear me, that will make my job easier for all. Tell me why did you run? Did you think you could run from your own past?" Laughing darkly the voice continued. " You will end just like your poor brother ended because of you.You..." but here the voice and it's master were interrupted .

A voice calm and clear rose from the darkness.

"I have done nothing to my brother. And you can punish me but I assure you that I will never crumble because of fear again. You may have power over my body but my soul and heart you could never harm."

Growling, the man to whom this voice belonged stepped foreword near the young girl who had dared to defy him. Hitting her, he made her fall and he bent over her , hitting and hitting her, again and again.

"Maybe I can not harm your soul or heart but I can harm the body to which they will return." The man yelled at her.

"No you can not." A deadly voice demanded.

It took five hours to get to her house. Five long hours in which he prayed to God that she was still alive.

Somewhere along the way, somewhere very near her house, he felt a sudden pain stabbing his heart.

Urging his men to drive faster, he felt anger boil up in him. Anger which soon would explode.

Finally they arrived and upon ringing the doorbell a woman answered .

Walking past her, he made his way to the stairs which apparently lead to the basement.

"... but I can harm your body to which they will return." A man's voice had called. Opening the door he finally let his presence be known.

"No you can not." Sesshoumaru bellowed.

He could see a grown man with raven black hair standing there, kneeling over figure he could faintly make out as Kagome.

His Kagome, with blood running from the corner of her lips, with bruises all over her body.

Glaring at the men icely , Sesshoumaru instantly had him pinned to a wall, holding his trembling body up by the firm hand he pressed to his neck. Of course the idiot struggled, tried to get out but Sesshoumaru merely squeezed his neck harder, making him choke on the lack of air.

"Sessh, let him, please,... let him ...go." a broken voice suddenly pleaded.

Letting the man drop , Sesshoumaru instantly turned, kneeling by Kagome's side , taking her into his arms.

"I suppose I don't look, .. so good." Kagome whispered.

His heart was ripped open, the one woman he loved was in his arms again, but looking at her he realised one thing - he had been to late. Bruises marked her skin, blood was dropping onto his hands.

"You weren't late." Kagome suddenly whispered making him wake from his thoughts.

Looking at her his worried amber eyes locked with her serene saphire orbs. She didn't want an apology from him, but he felt guilty she was here in the first place.

"I'm fine. Don't feel guilty. If I hadn't been here I would have never found my peace. So don't feel guilty, unless you feel guilty about the fact that we're not leaving." Kagome told him smiling.

Being locked in this absolute chamber of horror, being beaten, being starved and still she was joking, smiling and worrying about him.

Smiling himself, Sesshoumaru picked her up bridal style and suddenly whispered in a low deadly voice.

"Don't even think about atacking . You would have no chance. And know this, it's only by her wish that you are allowed to live."

The man who had previously gotten to his feet, still didn't listen to this warning but took a metal pipe and swung it for Sesshoumaru.

With his back still turned, with his love still in his arms, Sesshoumaru dodged and kicked him into a wall.

" Sesshoumaru?" Totousai suddenly asked, standing in the doorway.

Turning from the now injured man, he looked at his best detective, walking past him, out of that creepy room.

"What ?" he growled irritated.

"The police will take them shortly. You were right .

The mother confessed." Totousai answered.

Getting up the stairs Sesshoumaru looked at the living room and saw a crying woman who looked a lot like the one he held in his arms.

"My daughter, my own daughter ...I'm sorry.." she tried to run to her, but Sesshoumaru merely walked out, taking Kagome to one of the cars and driving her to his home.

Now he realised the only home he would ever have will be her heart. Looking at the sleeping form beside him, he thanked the Gods, for letting him meet such an angel.
