ON TO THE STORY!!!

Chapter 4

Can't deny the Truth

The little girl blinked at Inuyasha with teary eyes. There was no escape and she did not have any plan to get out of this. The flashlight was pointed at her like a knife. She was scared, but couldn't move her numbed body. She was frozen from that very spot. Inuyasha looked at the little girl. It was as if she was a statue for she didn't move a muscle. There was a long pause until Inuyasha decided to speak up again.

"Who are you? Why are you here at this time of night?" He asked softly trying not to scare the little girl away. She jumped at the sound of his voice. She opened her mouth but no words came out. After awhile, she was able to utter a few words. "G-go away…." It was so quiet; it was like she was talking to herself. Inuyasha couldn't hear her demand and asked her to speak up. The girl's frightened face became annoyed as she repeated herself. "I said to GO AWAY!!!!! Are u DEAF???? Go away; leave me alone, I don't want any help from you especially because you're a GUY!!!" She screamed tears trickled down her face. She balled up her hands and rubbed her eyes. She collapsed on to the hard ground, crying her eyes out.

The scene before Inuyasha made his heart ach, a little girl sobbing miserably and there was nothing he could do about it. She looked up to see Inuyasha's face and whisper some words once again. "Why can't you leave me alone Inuyasha? Why can't you?" She buried her head into her knees and hiccupped once in a while. Inuyasha looked puzzled. "How, did you know my name?" The little girl stopped crying. Did she use his name? `What am I going to do now?" she thought. Since there was no reply, Inuyasha decided to get an answer.

"I asked you a question brat and you better reply to it." He growled and tries to grab her shoulder to give her a shake. But instead, he fell right through her and landed on his face. The little girl gasped and moved towards his face, concern written all over her face. Inuyasha looked up to her with a freaked out voiced.

"D-did… did I just go… through you???" The little girl quickly shook her head. "N-no. You tripped on your feet and fell." She explained lamely. But Inuyasha didn't seem to believe her.

"Oh, ok I fell." He swung his arm through her body and it went through. "Then would you like to explain this?" The little girl looked at him anger filling her up.

"MAN!! Can't you just leave me alone? Besides… even if I told you, you wouldn't believe me…"

"I would, really, if you're willing to share." She looked at him eyes widened but nodded.

"I-I… I'm a ghost… I'm dead but why I am still here I do not know…" She started off. Inuyasha looked at her. `Dead? No way!!!' he was going to tell her he didn't believe that, but decided to hear her out first. Besides, it would explain the part where he managed to go through her body. "I died 4 years ago at the age of 13…"

~She telling her story~ (A/N this is different from the prologue. Why you ask?

Because she knows what really happened. Every single

Details. The prologue was just a dream remember?

And it told the important parts to start a story.)

Fours years ago… I lived in a small village. Life was fairly fine and I enjoyed playing and helping out. Until one day, this boy came along. I don't remember his name but that's not important rite now… Anyways, we became really good friends and one day, we both wanted to get married and we loved each other. He gave me a very pretty necklace as a gift while we walked towards the village. However that boy I fell in love with was a spy for this faraway place I never heard of. My parents got upset. The next night however… we decided to leave and start our own life together. It was raining horribly and we were going to cross the river. When we got in the storm gave angry and threatens to devour us. But we continued on ahead. The rain slowing us down, the waves with its freezing touches, the wind howled into our ears. As what seems like hours and hours of hard work and determination to live, the storm began to settle. I was grinning ear to ear and was so happy to see open lands again. Never, do I want to go on a boat AGAIN!! Smiling, I turned over to my husband to be and gave him a warm smile. "We are going to make it! I can see land. We are almost there. I can't believe we are still alive!" I cried happily. He didn't answer but he was smiling too. "Yes, we are almost there, but… I'm the only one alive." He replied slyly. I stared at him with confused eyes. I asked him a question for I didn't understand what he meant. "What are you talking about? I'm still here aren't I? And I will never leave you because I love you." I answered happily. I made each and every word was filled with love to prove I wasn't joking. "I know you do, but do I?" He said as he inched his way closer to me, carrying an oar. "What are you doing?" I asked, but I turned around and looked at the land. Then I felt something on my back but before I could turn to see what it was, I was lunged forward. Plunging into the water I quickly swam back up but when I reached to the surface, the oar appeared into my face, pushing me down. Encouraging me that I should stay there. I screamed at the boy and tried to grab the boat's edge but I was already I sinking. I struggled to get back up. My lungs were burning and I was panicking like mad. I was scared out of my wits. What could I do? I was so tired and the oar kept pushing me lower and lower. That was until sleep overtook me. I was in a sea of darkness. When I awoke, I was at the beach of my village. A smile graced my lips for I was so glad to be alive. That was until I looked at myself. I was transparent, I could literally see through myself. I panicked and ran to the village, only to gasp at the scene. Bodies were flung all over the village, blood still oozing out from them. The place was dead quiet, like a ghost town. I carefully walked into the village, keeping my eyes away from the haunting corpses I once knew. That was till I saw my parents. I was horrified at the sight. They were hanged and were still hanging, in front of my house. Theirs faces were so pale, and emotionless. Blood had coloured their body and was slowly dripping off from their toes. My mother had an arrow stuck through her body that came out from the front. The sharp part facing me, haunting me. Covered with the colour of red. I looked towards my father. One of his hands had been chopped off and his neck appeared to be broken. He also had some scars on his legs and I could literally see one of my daddy's ribs sticking out. This was just too horrible. Could this all have happened when I was gone? Was this plan? I felt angry and scared. What's going on into the world? I thought I was going to go crazy and I slammed my head into my house, only to fall through it. I was shocked out of my mind. I stood up and touch the wall and my hand went through it. I screamed and ran out of the village and back to the river, where I started to cry. I overheard some soldiers about their victory. I turned around to see them right behind me, but the failed to notice that. When I heard that my village begged for mercy, they just laughed at them and killed every single person, and left no survivors. I stood up and tried to scream and attack them but I failed and fell onto my face. I laid there; I could not stop the evil laughter from the men before me. I was in a dark world, all alone and I could see nothing. Feel nothing, smell nothing. Only the laughter of the men, the words of the boy and the sound of a sword through flesh ran through my mind. Each and everything was haunting me. So much did I want to die and leave this place. Until I realized that… I was already dead.

~Normal POV~

The little girl finished her speech with more sobs and tears. Why did she even tell that to Inuyasha? She herself didn't know. Inuyasha looked at her. Why did her story feel so… familiar? He felt sorry for the little girl. Watching her cry like that made his heart break. He just stared at her with sad eyes. The little girl looked up to see his face and made a mad one. "Why did I even bother to tell you?" She replied harshly, "Not like you're going to believe my story." Inuyasha just looked at her. "Hey, I didn't say I didn't believe you. I just-.."

"Pity me?" She answered Inuyasha before he said it himself. "Trying to tell me you feel sorry for me? Because I was so dumb to actually believe in that boy right? I don't need your pity Inuyasha. I really don't." She got up and slowly began to walk again. Inuyasha looked at her and remember one question she never answered.

"How did you know my name?" He asked quietly. She stopped in her tracks but not long after then she continue walking.

"Because Inuyasha, I know who you are and you know who I am also. When the time comes… Fate is going to wrap us around in a death lock with her fingers. Until we met again Inuyasha." And with that she drifted away.

"WAIT! I didn't even get your name…" Inuyasha just stared at the river, confused by what she had just said. What had she meant by Fate wrapping us around in a death lock with her fingers? What did that mean? Inuyasha clutched onto his head. `What in the world is making me think so much? My life became so fucking confusing now. And how did I get into this in the first place?' He stood up and walked back to his room, he needed to get a good long rest.

I am so sorry people! This chapter is short and I'm really sorry. You see I was sick yesterday so I couldn't start writing the chapter. And I did promise to have one ready on Wednesday.
