Chapter 9
Rin's Party part 1

Inuyasha fumbled a bit while trying to put on his clothes as fast as possible. He was so going to get killed if he didn't show up soon. `Stupid Sesshoumaru, he could have at least woken him up before he left to go to Rin's earlier to help her.' <Well, it was your fault for sleeping in, you can't blame other people for your own stupidity you know.> `Ah shut up…' Inuyasha quickly ran downstairs to see his aunt Mukire and Kagome sitting on the couch talking about life and school. Kagome smiled as she chatted with Mukire. He took this chance to look at what Kagome was wearing. She had a tank top and blue jeans, although it was really simple, he thought she looked really nice in it. Inuyasha cleared this throat to get the ladies' attention and then both of their heads turned to face him.

"Oh Inu dear, I didn't hear you come down." Mukire said. "I was talking to Kagome, she's such a sweet girl." She turned back to Kagome. "I hope you will take care of Inuyasha, you know how much trouble he causes. But that IS a girlfriend's job right?" She winked at Kagome who blushed a bit. "Uh… Mukire… Kagome and I aren't-" "Oh I'm so sorry, don't you two have someone you need to get going?" Mukire got up and walked towards Inuyasha and whispered into his ear. "You have good taste, I like this girl very much. Please don't be any trouble for her ok dear?" She walked away leaving a slightly stunned Inuyasha. Kagome got up and walked towards the door. "Hurry up Inu, we are going to be late you know." And with that she walked out of the door, being followed by Inuyasha.

"How are we going to get there? Don't tell me we are walking there." Kagome turned around to face Inuyasha. "Well… if we don't walk, how else are we going to get there Inu?" Kagome said while she was walking. Inuyasha sighed; Rin's house was pretty far away from here. `Oh well… guess there's nothing else we can do.'

"Oh god… what time is it? Rin is so going to kill me now, and I promise to arrive earlier!" Kagome exclaimed, throwing her arms up into the air. "Now what am I suppose to tell her???" Inuyasha smiled, Kagome hasn't been here for a month yet and she had already made some friends. Which reminds him…

"Hey Kagome?"

"Yea? What's up Inu?"

"About your secret about being a ghost and all… should we tell Rin and the others?" Kagome stopped in her tracks as Inuyasha kept walking. Kagome never though about the other people, should she trust them? Inuyasha stopped and turned around to face her. "Kagome?

What's wrong?" Kagome looked down and turned her head slightly away from Inuyasha. "Nothing's wrong it's just that…" Inuyasha's eyes narrowed. "I thought they were your friends. And if you told them, they would want to help you. Come on Kagome." He walked up to her and places his hands on her cheeks. "They are your friends, you can trust them." Kagome nodded but turned her head slightly. "But… what if… I don't my friends to pity me, I would rather have them not know then pity me. And what happens if they tell everyone else?" Kagome said weakly. Inuyasha's face softened. "Kagome." He said slowly. "They are your friends, and real friends don't tell stuff like this to other people. You can trust them. They are your friends." Kagome paused for awhile. Friends… she has friends. Back then and now. Before she had lost most of them because she had spent most of her time with Sonaki. But now she had real friends who wouldn't leave her. She smiled a bit. "Yes, I do have friends. But… I want to think about it first Inuyasha. It is my decision right?" Inuyasha nodded and continued walking towards Rin's house but Kagome stopped again. She fumbled with her fingers and looked away blushing a bit.

"Now what's wrong?" Inuyasha asked. Kagome smiled nervously as she hopped on one foot and then the other. "I hope you know your way to Rin's place, because I don't think Rin told me the directions." Kagome laugh slightly. Inuyasha just shook his head. "Girls these days… yea I know the way com'on or you're going to be late." Inuyasha started walking ahead. Kagome stood there for awhile before dashing after Inuyasha. "HEEY!!! What did you mean by that? I'm late cause of YOU!!! Hear he Inu? It's YOUR FAUUUULT!!!"

Finally, Inuyasha and Kagome reached to Rin's Mansion. It was huge and Kagome was surprised. She had known Rin came from a rich family, but she didn't expect the house to be THAT big. Inuyasha laughed at Kagome' silence and walked up to the front doors where people went entering. As they went towards the doors, 2 large arms blocked the way.

"What the hell?" Inuyasha glared at the person whose arms blocked his way. "What the fuck is your problem?" The man dressed up in a black suit looked at the two teens and lifted up a checklist. "I am the guard of this party. I am to check off your name to see if you have arrived and keep the people invited inside and knock out the rest who aren't." He said roughly. "Name?" Inuyasha rolled his eyes, now why would there be a guard for a party?

"Inuyasha." He said while crossing his arms. He was late already, this was just wasting his time. The Man looked at his list. "Ah yes, Mister Inuyasha, Rin said you were going to arrive late. You may enter." Inuyasha walked inside and turned around to wait for Kagome to enter, this check up thingy was getting on his nerves already. "Name?" the man asked again. Kagome smile slightly. "My name is Kagome Higurashi Sir." She said sweetly. (Let's hope I spelt her name right.) The man nodded and looked through the check list again. Inuyasha sighed, there REALLY wasn't a point for them to go through this check list thingy, they were one of Rin's friends.

The guard looked at Kagome and then back at the list again. "Nice try missy but you can't fool me, someone already has entered as Kagome Higurashi." Kagome's eyes got wide as the guard walked up to her. Inuyasha saw this and quickly walked in front of Kagome. "What are YOU doing?" He hissed. The guard shook his head. "I am to throw away all intruders and people who tried to sneak in as other people. That is my job." He tried to push Inuyasha away but he stood on his ground. "You are NOT to touch her you understand?" Inuyasha growled. Kagome looked concern, her name was check already? By who? "Um… excuse me sir, may we speak to Rin for a moment?" The guard shook his head. "Sorry missy, I'm afraid she wouldn't have time to talk to you any ways. Now leave before I make you leave." Kagome's eyes sadden a bit, now what was she supposed to do?

Inuyasha looked into the mansion and luckily he spotted Rin talking to Sesshoumaru. HE yelled to Rin and quickly walked up to her. Rin turned around to face Inuyasha and smiled. "Welcome Inu! Did you just-"

"Not now Rin, we have a problem." He said dragging her to the entrance. When they got there, they saw the guard and Kagome arguing. Rin looked at Inuyasha and asked him what's happened. But before he could explain, the guard had picked Kagome up and started walked away form the doors. Rin and Inuyasha dashed to the guard.

"HEY!! What do you think you are doing?! I'm the real Kagome Higurashi. I'm one of Rin's friends!!!" Kagome screamed and tried to wiggle her way out of the guard's hands. "Sorry missy, but I ain't falling for that one." He replied as he continued walking.

"BLANK!!! STOOOP!!!" Rin shrieked. "That's one of my friends!!! WAIT UP BLANK!!!" The guard stopped and turned around to face Rin. "Ah good afternoon my lady. What brings you here?" He asked, still carrying Kagome. Inuyasha growled and opened his mouth to tell the fucking guard to take his hands off Kagome but Rin beat him to it. "Blank, what the hell are you doing?! That's one of my really good friends. Also as a very special guest! Put her down this instant." Blank looked at her for a moment. "but lady Rin-" "Put. Her. Down." Rin said narrowing her eyes. "This instant!!! NOW!!!" Blank put Kagome down slowly and when her feet touched the ground, she started to dust off her jeans. Kagome smiled a bit as she walked up to Rin.

"Happy Birthday Rin!!!" Kagome exclaimed as she gave Rin her present which Rin accepted happily. Inuyasha paused for a second when he realized something. `Oh SHIT!!! I forgot Rin's present!!!' Kagome smiled at Inuyasha's frantic face. "Don't worry Inuyasha, your gift is inside the bag too." Kagome said while laughing a bit. "Come on in guys, Sango and Miroku are already here." Rin walked into the mansion first. As Kagome made her way to follow Rin, Inuyasha grabbed her arm. "How did you get Rin's present from my room? I don't remember you being there." Kagome laughed and leaned in a bit.

"I am a ghost Inuyasha don't forget that." Kagome whispered into Inuyasha's ear. She continued walking towards the entrance when Inuyasha caught up again. "Then doesn't that mean you saw me changing?" Inuyasha said smirking. "Ooo, didn't expect you to be that type Kagome." Inuyasha winked at her. Kagome rolled her eyes and continued walking. "Believe whatever you want Inuyasha. Believe whatever you want." Inuyasha walked with her until a thought hit him. "So… who do you think went in as your name?" Inuyasha said and stopped when he saw Kagome stopped. Kagome thought for a moment. Who would use her name to get in? `Rin had said she invited everyone to the party except…' Kagome's eyes got wide as she looked at Inuyasha who looked back at her with wide eyes also.

"KIKYO!"

Aiya!!! So sorry. I know it's really short, you see, today I went out so I didn't have the chance to finish up this chapter properly. Oh well.. at least I updated right? Oh well, I'm going to bed now, hope you R & R!!! Ja ne!!!
