Soft light filtered in through Kagome’s curtains bathing her room in its soft blue glow. Her eyes fluttered open gently taking in the room around her.
‘What time is it’? She thought reaching for her alarm clock. The red light blinked 9:24 am, ‘What day is it? That’s right it’s Saturday already.’
As the week’s events played back in her mind she remembered her moment with Inuyasha, when he held her in his arms calling her his love, then calling her Kikyo. She hadn’t found out who Kikyo was, but Sango promised to explain everything to her today when they went out shopping. Kagome rolled over to face the ceiling. She was glad it was Saturday finally, this week had just dragged on. She’d gone to the rest of her classes for the week and each in turn had piled on the homework. She’d gone on another date with Kouga last night, but it wasn’t anything memorable, and she felt like she was losing interest in him.
‘Is it because of Inuyasha?’ He hadn’t left her thoughts for long since that night, and she felt guilty for it because of Kouga. She really liked the guy and he obviously really liked her. She just wished she could get this Inuyasha thing resolved, and while she had made a couple of attempts to talk to him, he just avoided her. When she came into the office he would leave, and when she was leaving he’d show up again. It was maddening!
She sat up and swung her legs over the edge of the bed, ‘I guess I should get up.’ Sango wouldn’t be coming over for a while, probably not until noon or so, which meant she had time to lounge around. She planted her feet on the ground, walked over to her dresser, and pulled out a blue baby doll tee and a pair of low riser jeans. She laid them out on her bed and headed to the shower.
Once she was in the shower she let all her anxiety wash away down the drain, because she was determined that today was going to be a good day she wasn’t going to worry about any man. It was going to be a day for Kagome and Sango. She got out of the shower and toweled herself dry. She walked past her room and into the kitchen where she started a bowl of instant oatmeal for her breakfast. When she was dry she got into her clothes, walked back into the kitchen where her microwave was beeping. She sat at a bar stool along her counter and noticed her phone was flashing. She flipped it open; she had a text from Rin.
‘Hey Grl, What u up 2?’
She punched in a reply,
‘Hanging out at the mall with a friend you?’
In a few minutes there was a reply,
‘Nothing just working on professor gorgeous’ assignment’
Kagome nearly choked on her oatmeal, because Rin had recently confessed to having a crush on their history professor, and she loved the nickname she had given him.
‘Nice nick-name, if you’re not too busy writing love notes in the margins of your assignment why don’t you meet us for lunch?’
She waited for the response, which came almost immediately
‘Sound’s great meet you at Ruby’s @ 1?’
‘Sounds good see you then’ she replied then closed her phone; she hoped Sango wouldn’t mind, she seemed pretty laid back so she didn’t think she would mind. Kagome finished her oatmeal then went into the living room to work on some homework.
Around eleven o’ clock, she got a call from Sango.
“Hey Sango,” she said cheerily answering her phone,
“Hey, I just woke up so I’ll be there around noon okay?” she said sleepily.
“That works for me,” Kagome replied.
“Oh and we need to stop by the office on the way to the mall, I left my sunglasses there and I want to wear them today.”
“Sounds good to me, I’ll see you when you get here.”
“Kay, see you then.”
She hung up the call and went back to work on her homework.
At almost exactly noon, Sango knocked on Kagome’s door, and as they were climbing into Sango’s black jeep Kagome commented on it.
“You were right on time,” she said buckling her seatbelt.
“I know I like to be punctual,” she said pulling out of Kagome’s parking lot.
“So are you going to tell me about Kikyo now?” Kagome said excitedly.
“You don’t waste time do you,” Sango said giving her a sideways glance from the driver’s seat.
“Nope,” Kagome said happily.
“Well,” Sango sighed, “Kikyo was Inuyasha’s girlfriend for the past two years and she just broke up with him, but it wasn’t the first time, they’ve been breaking up every couple months for the last year and a half. Kikyo dumps him and then Inuyasha goes crawling back to her. We’ve told him to just leave her but he won’t, he thinks they’re meant to be together.”
“But if it happens all the time why is Inuyasha so upset?” Kagome said, trying to put it all together.
“Oh, that’s because this time Kikyo’s met someone new.” Sango said wisely,
“Oh,” Kagome replied contemplatively.
“Don’t worry though. Inuyasha is a big boy he’ll be fine.”
“But why would he think I was Kikyo?” Kagome remembered Monday night once more being in his arms having him tell her he loved her even if it was the wrong name it felt right.
“You kind of look like her,” Sango said casually.
“Really?” she said incredulously.
“Yeah,” Sango replied.
“Wow…”
“Are you okay?” she asked concerned.
“Yeah I’m fine. The whole situation is just weird,” Kagome scrunched up her nose.
“I agree…” Sango replied but she was cut off by Kagome’s ring tone.
“It’s Kouga,” Kagome said shyly answering her phone, “Hello?”
“Hey gorgeous, what are you up to?”
“Oh just going out with a friend you?”
“Just wanting to know what my beautiful lady is doing and your plans for next week I have a surprise for you.”
“What kind of surprise?” she said happily.
“It’s not a surprise if I tell you,” he said mischievously.
“You’re no fun,” she pouted.
“Yes I am, so what nights to do you have free?”
“Well, I have to work a couple nights this week but Monday’s open,”
“Perfect I’ll pick you up from school.”
“Okay I’ll see you then,” she said happily.
“Talk to you later gorgeous.”
“Bye Kouga,” she said plaintively.
She hung up the phone and Sango was watching her with a grin.
“That was cute,” she said.
“Quit it!” she said hitting her playfully, “Look we’re here!” she said as they pulled into the parking lot of Jewel Shards Bail Bonds.
****************************************************** *
Miroku watched Inuyasha over the top of his coffee cup,
“She’s seeing someone you know?”
Inuyasha put down the paper he was reading to look at Miroku,
“Who are you talking about? Sango? Did she finally come to her senses and stop playing games with you and find a guy?”
“Oh no not Sango, she’s just playing hard to get,” he said waving a hand.
“Who then? If you’re talking about Kikyo you’re looking to get that coffee cup shoved up your ass.”
“I actually want to live thank you. No, I’m talking about Kagome,” he said smiling devilishly.
“I know that already why are you telling me this?” Inuyasha said feeling his temper rising.
Miroku was his friend but he was his friend looking for a beating. The truth was it made him more than a little jealous that Kagome was seeing someone.
“Just thought you’d like to know,” he smirked behind his coffee cup.
“God damn it Miroku. Will you get it through your thick skull, I’m not interested in that girl, she boring, ugly and flat chested. I’m only interested in Kikyo, she is who I’m meant to be with so just stop bringing up fucking Kagome, what happened Monday night was a mistake a horrible mistake.”
Miroku’s eyes widen with panic as Inuyasha finished his tirade. Finally, he had gotten through to that damn pervert that is what he thought until Miroku pointed behind him, where a furious Kagome and Sango stood.
“You BAKA!” Kagome screamed slapping him across the face then running from the room tears running down her face.
‘BAKA, BAKA, BAKA! I made her cry again, when am I going to learn to control my mouth?’
“Will you ever learn Inuyasha?” Sango said coldly before turning on her heel and exiting after Kagome.
“This is your own fault you know?” Miroku said from next to him.
“My fault! This is your fault! If you hadn’t been prodding at me then I wouldn’t have said those things!”
“And if you didn’t care about Kagome like you pretend not to, then you wouldn’t get upset when I tell you she is seeing someone.” He said wisely.
“Keh,” he said stomping off to his office, ‘I do not care about that girl at all!
Then why does it hurt so bad to make her cry?’
****************************************************** ***
“Why do I care what he thinks!” Kagome screamed into her purse,
“Forget him Kagome you’ve got a good guy, who cares if Inuyasha insults you?” Sango said soothingly.
“That’s just it I do care, and I hate it that I care,” she sighed, she wouldn’t cry anymore because he wasn’t worth the tears.
‘I just wish I could understand why it hurts so badly, it’s not like I’ve never been insulted before. ‘
“Let’s just forget about it, we have shopping to do!” Sango said happily.
They got out of the jeep and headed to the mall entrance, they tried out a couple different boutiques, a shoe store, a clothing store. They were perusing a sales rack when Kagome’s phone rang again, she picked it up and answered without looking.
“Hello,” she said happily.
“Hey, Kags! Where are you?”
“Oh Rin, I’m so sorry I complete forgot, we’ll head over right now,” said apologetically,
“That’s okay I’ll get us a table.”
“Thanks a million Rin.”
“No problem. See you in a few!”
She hung up the call to be faced by a confused looking Sango,
“Who was that?”
“I completely forgot, a classmate of mine said she wasn’t doing anything today and I invited her to lunch with us I hope that’s not a problem.” Kagome said, she completely forgot to mention it to Sango with the incident with Inuyasha.
“Yeah. It’s cool,” she said slowly, but Kagome could see something was bothering her.
Sango was very quiet on the way to the restaurant, when they got there they found Rin sitting in a booth near the corner, Kagome was so busy taking in the fifties decor and waitress and waitress in fifties style clothes to notice the look of panic on Rin’s face as they walked over.
“Hey Rin!” she said happily sitting in the booth across from her, “This is Sango, Sango this is Rin.”
“We know each already,” Sango said menacingly standing next to the table.
“Yeah we do,” Rin agreed somberly.
“You do?” Kagome said feeling confused, “How do you know each other?”
“She used to date my brother,” Sango said not taking her angry stare off of Rin, Rin in turn held Sango’s glare her head held high, Kagome looked from one to the other, wondering what the problem was.
“I didn’t know you had a brother,” Kagome said conversationally to Sango.
“I had a brother, he’s dead now,” she said vehemently towards Rin.
“I’m sorry Kagome I’m going to leave, I’ll see you in class okay?” she grabbed her bag and was out the door before Kagome had time to reply.
“Do you want to tell me what that was about?” she said as Sango sat across from her.
“She dated my little brother in high school, before he died,”
“How did he die?” she asked cautiously this was obviously something very painful for Sango.
“He killed himself,” she said plainly.
“Oh Sango, I never knew…” she said sadly.
“He was never the same after the accident that killed my parents, it was like he shut off, but then in his junior year of high school he met Rin. And the light I had seen go out in him seemed to come back on again. It was like I got my Kohaku back again, but then right before senior prom, Rin broke it off. I found a note the night of his senior prom, he had killed himself by jumping off a bridge into the ocean, and they never found his body.” Sango looked down then; Kagome could see the tears gathering in her eyes.
Kagome stared at Sango at a loss for words, if only she had know she never would of invited Rin now she had hurt the only two friends she had in one innocent act.
“Sango I’m so sorry, if I had known I would never have invited her, next time I’ll ask I swear.”
“Don’t worry Kagome you couldn’t of known, let’s just call it even for the Inuyasha incident,” she said tiredly.
“Deal!” she cheered,
They shook on it as the server came over to take their orders. They shared a pleasant lunch and both women strived to keep conversation light. They talked about Kouga, and Sango told Kagome about Miroku’s relentless chasing of her for the past three years.
“And you just keep turning him down?” Kagome said amazed.
“Yeah, I don’t trust him, I mean yeah he’s handsome and charming but you’ve seen him around woman he can’t keep his hands to himself.”
“Well the only one I’ve ever seen him grope is you Sango, he says perverted things to me but he never actually touched me,” Kagome said thoughtfully, as they exited the restaurant.
Sango looked down deep in thought, “You know I think you right… but I still… I can’t trust him.”
Kagome let the subject go, she could plainly see Miroku was crazy about her but she couldn’t force her friend into a relationship.
When the end of their day together came both girls were over laden with bags, Kagome had spent more than she should of on a beautiful green cocktail dress and matching shoes, she didn’t know when she’d get a chance to wear it but she couldn’t keep herself from buying it. Sango dropped Kagome off around seven with a wave and a honk as Kagome entered her empty apartment. She walked over to her couch and plopped down. I should call Rin and apologize; she pulled her phone out her pocket and flipped it open, and then dialed Rin’s number.
It rang for a few times before Rin answered sounding a little breathless,
“H-hello?”
“Hey Rin its Kagome, I’m sorry about this afternoon I had no idea.”
“Oh don’t worry about it you couldn’t have known.”
“But still…” Kagome heard a male voice in the background, it sounded vaguely familiar.
“Well I got to go” Rin said quickly, “I’ll see you in class on Monday.”
“Yeah okay see you then.”
The line went dead, and Kagome looked at her phone for a moment.
‘That was weird; I wonder who she was with?’ she shrugged her shoulders, then went into the bedroom to plug her phone into the charger. When she was reentering the living room, she heard a knock on the door. She looked to the clock, it was 7:23.
‘Did Sango forget something?’
“Coming!” she called from the door, there was no response, she opened the door slowly to be greeted by the sight of white blonde hair and a tight red t-shirt paired with loose black pants.
“Inuyasha?” she said feeling thoroughly confused, “What are you doing here?”
“I came to…” he would not look her in the eyes and he looked in every direction but at her, she remembered that afternoon and she got irritated.
‘What, is he here to insult me some more?
“To what Inuyasha?” he lifted his amber eyes to hers and she could feel him melting her heart to him.
“…to apologize” he said just above a whisper, she stared at him opened mouth for a moment,
“Really?”
“Yeah,” he said sheepishly.
“Well come in I guess,” she said grudgingly, but only to make his punishment last longer, for what he had done to her today and Monday. He walked in obediently,
“Sit.” she said pointing at her couch, and he sat down, his head slightly lowered. She sat across from him, and watched him for a moment as he rung his hands.
“Go ahead,” she said sternly.
“I’m sorry,” he grumbled.
“I’m sorry I didn’t catch that,” she said holding a hand up to her ear.
“I’m sorry okay.” He said huffily crossing his arms over his lean chest.
“I forgive you,” she said sweetly, he turned his amber eyes towards her full of disbelief.
“You do? But I said so many terrible things,” he said searching her face.
“Yeah you did, but you apologized and I forgive you so it’s in the past. Let’s move on with our lives and be friends okay?” she said outstretching her arm to his.
He took her hand hesitantly as if it was a trick, when his hand touched hers and she could feel electricity shoot up her body from his touch as he did one quick pump of the arm then dropped her hand like a diseased animal.
‘What was that?’ She thought, ‘did he feel it too?’ she watched his face for a sign of recognition that he had felt what she felt but nothing clicked.
A gurgle from Inuyasha’s stomach broke the silence.
“Hungry?” she said kindly.
“A little, I guess I should go,” he said getting to his feet.
“You don’t have to go,” she said a hint of pleading in her voice, for some reason she didn’t want him to go. “I know you love ramen I have some if you’d like.”
He turned to assess her with a guarded expression.
“I can’t say no to Ramen,” he said cautiously.
“Great! I’ll be right back!” she ran into the kitchen as Inuyasha plopped back down on the couch.
“Make yourself comfortable,” she called, as she heard him turn on the T.V. She pulled two cups of Ramen out of her cupboard, peeled off the lids and added the water, then threw the pair of them into the microwave. One minute later, she had two hot cups of ramen and she was headed back to the living room.
Inuyasha was splayed across the left side of her couch, and she watched him before handing him his cup, his nearly white hair was splayed out behind him. His leg was propped up on her coffee table and his right arm was hanging over the arm of the couch.
‘He looks like he fits there’, she mused before shaking herself, this was the guy that said she was plain and ugly and he had no interest in her. Besides, there was Kouga.
She sat down on the couch next to him and they ate their Ramen in silence, Inuyasha had found a movie on television it was something about street racing. Kagome only half watched the T.V as Inuyasha inhale his noodles.
“You really love that stuff huh?” she said setting down her own noodles momentarily, “I could tell when I found nearly fifty Ramen cups in your office when I cleaned it.”
“That was you?” he said taking a break between bites,
“Yeah, who else would it of been? Sango, or Miroku?” she said curiously.
“Yeah I should have figured, but why did you do it?” he conceded.
“It was repayment for the night you gave me a ride home, I wouldn’t of gotten ready for my date in time if it wasn’t for you,” she said shyly.
Inuyasha looked down into his noodles for a moment looking contemplative.
“Glad I could help,” he said gruffly.
Looking to fill the empty silence Kagome commented on the film.
“I haven’t seen this movie in years,” she said merrily, Inuyasha jumped on the distraction from their previous conversation.
“This is one of my favorite movies.”
The watched the movie in comfortable silence with the occasional comment of, ‘oh that was close’ or ‘wow look at that’ when the credits started rolling Kagome stretched her arms above her head and looked at the clock,
“It’s nine o clock already?” she said incredulously.
“Oh should I go?” He said moving to stand.
“No you don’t have to,” she said desperately, as she looked down at her hands.
‘Why am I practically begging him to stay?’
“There’s a scary movie on next and I don’t want to be alone could you stay for one more?” she added quickly.
“Yeah, I guess so.” he said relaxing back into the couch.
“Do you want some popcorn?” She said cheerfully.
“That sounds good. I’m hungry again,” he replied, and she got up and ran into the kitchen popping a bag of popcorn quickly then dumped it into a bowl before returning to the living room.
She set the bowl on the couch between herself and Inuyasha, then snuggled up with a pillow as the movie began. At first it was pretty tame, there was a tape that when you watched it, you died seven days later, there was a creepy girl and the heroine was trying to unravel the mystery. Then a part came where the creepy girl was coming up through the well and through the T.V, Kagome let out at screeched and grabbed for the closest solid thing to her which happened to be Inuyasha. She wrapped her arms around his and buried her head into his shoulder. When the scene passed she realized who she had grabbed a hold of, her brown eyes were trapped in a sea of amber they stayed like that for an instant until Kagome dislodge herself from him with a slight blush to her cheeks, and a murmur of “Sorry”. She didn’t move back to the opposite end of the couch and Inuyasha didn’t move away. The movie ended not long after and another movie was about to start, it was the sequel to the movie they had just watched.
Kagome yawned a little and Inuyasha got up to stretch,
“It’s getting late it has to be nearly eleven,” he said.
“Yeah, but I’m going to stay up and watch the next movie though,”
“Why are you watching more scary movies? You practically jumped out of your skin at the last one,” he said accusingly.
“Cause, I like being scared,” she said coyly.
“Keh,” he muttered.
“Are you leaving?” She didn’t even try to hide the sadness in her voice,
“Are you telling me to leave?” he said offended.
“No, I was kind of hoping you’d stay for another movie,” she said smiling.
“If I have to,” he said sitting back down, Kagome had to hide her triumphant smile, something about sitting on the couch with Inuyasha just felt so familiar.
‘So right.’
“I’m going to change into my P.j.’s,” she announced hurrying off to her room, and she pulled on a long t-shirt and a pair of pajama pants before returning to the living room her hair in a messy bun.
“That’s better,” she said plopping down next to Inuyasha.
He looked over at their close proximity but made no comment. She watched the movie but found her eyes growing heavy and when she couldn’t keep her eyes open any longer she slumped over and fell asleep.
Inuyasha felt a light pressure on his shoulder and looked down. Kagome had fallen asleep, ‘she looks so peaceful,’ he thought. He wanted to wake her but couldn’t bring himself to do it. He breathed in her scent deeply, she reminded him so much of ‘her’ sometimes. Her scent was definitely one of those things that brought him back. She turned a little in sleep and Inuyasha froze fearing he would wake her. She just clung to his shirt and continued sleeping.
‘How do I get myself in these situations? Oh yeah, my so-called friends.’ He grimaced, Miroku had pestered him all afternoon about Kagome then Sango had come to the office on her way home and read him the right act and told him how upset he had made Kagome, then she ordered him to come apologize. He had stood outside her door for a good ten minutes before he gotten the courage to knock, then she’d answered the door and she looked surprised then angry, he had hurt her he knew it, and he hated himself for hurting her.
Then she had invited him in and forgiven him, he couldn’t think of anytime in his life he’d been forgiven for anything, ‘but then again how many times have I said sorry?’ Kagome made a contented sigh snuggling into his chest wrapping her arm around his waist, he was becoming more entwined with this girl every second. ‘I don’t really mind though it’s kind of nice. Once I know she’s fully asleep I’ll move her to her bed.’ He felt so relaxed being with her. There was a feeling of rightness about her and he couldn’t remember the last time he could feel this relaxed with her small arms wrapped around his waist. ‘The last time I felt this comfortable it was with “her”…’ he felt his eyes grow heavy and he drifted off to sleep.
Inuyasha woke when the early morning light filtered across his face he was laying on a couch; Kagome was wrapped in his arms, her hands wrapped around his waist. ‘I fell asleep? I never fall asleep in strange places. And how did we end up like this?’ He gently removed Kagome arms from around his waist he didn’t want awkward questions to arise if she woke up wrapped around his waist. apparently she was a light sleeper and her eyes fluttered open. Her large brown eyes regarding him sleepily it took her a few seconds to realize where she was before she sat straight up,
“Inuyasha?”
“Morning,” he said trying to sound casual as possible.
“Did we fall asleep on the couch together?” she said with a raised brow.
“Yeah I guess we did, sorry about that.”
Kagome face blushed pink, and she looked away. ‘She’s so innocent,’ “well I’m going to take a shower,” she said standing up and leaving him alone in the living room. He heard her go into her bedroom, and then he heard the shower turn on.
‘I guess I should leave ,but I don’t want to leave without saying goodbye,’ he sat torn with indecision for several minutes, ‘I’m going to wait till she gets out of the shower then I’ll leave,’ he decided. A few minutes later Kagome emerged from her bedroom towel on her head and in clean clothes.
“You’re still here;” she said sounding surprised.
“Should I of left” he said trying to sound casual.
“No, I didn’t mean it like that I just thought you would of left,”
“Without saying goodbye how rude do you think I am?”
“I don’t…,” she said nervously.
“Keh, never mind I owe you for dinner last night, I want to take you to breakfast,” he said it before he even thought about it.
“But it was only Ramen,” she said waving her hands defensively,
“’Only Ramen’ that’s the food of the gods you’re talking about, besides I did say all those things to you I owe you.”
“But I forgave you...” she said quietly.
“Just let me do something nice for you okay?” he said a little more angrily then he meant it to come out.
“Oh okay,” she said looking a little embarrassed, a melody broke through the air easing the tension, “Oh my cell phone,” she said disappearing once more into her room, she came back out cell phone in hand looking at it contemplatively.
“Did Sango know you were coming here last night?” she said questioningly.
“Keh, it was her idea that I came here why?” he said dismissively.
“She sent me a text asking me how it went last night,” Kagome said cautiously.
“Have you replied yet?” he said excitedly.
“No,” she said slowly.
“Tell her I spent the night I want to see what her reaction will be,” ‘that’ll teach her to boss me around.’
“Okay,” he watched her type in the message, then not even a minute after she sent it her phone rang again and Kagome answered it he could hear Sango on the other end.
“HE WHAT!”
“It’s not what you think Sango, we fell asleep watching a movie,” Kagome said defensively.
“Yeah he was,” she said.
“Yeah,” she replied.
“We’re going to breakfast do you want to come?”
“Yeah he can come to,” Kagome said with a secretive smile.
“Okay we’ll see you there,”
She hung up the phone then looked at Inuyasha.
“Sango and Miroku are coming; I guess she was on her way to ‘see’ him when she called.”
“Keh, I wish they’d get it over and sleep together already,” he grouched.
“Sango said she won’t be with him because she concerned he’ll be unfaithful,” Kagome supplied.
“I’ve known Miroku for a long time and he’s the most loyal person I know, he flirts but he wouldn’t ever cheat.”
“That’s what I told Sango!” Kagome said excitedly.
“Yeah, lets get going I’m starving,” Inuyasha said ushering Kagome out the door, ‘good thing I drove here instead of running like I had planned on.’
They met Sango and Miroku at the small diner down the street from Kagome‘s apartment. Miroku was sporting a fresh handprint along his cheek.
“Behaving yourself?” Inuyasha quipped, as he sat in the booth next to Kagome across from Miroku and Sango. A server with curly brown hair in a high ponytail came and took their orders before bustling over behind the counter. Miroku watched the woman as she walked away and Sango gave him another glare before he put his head down facing the table. Then Inuyasha caught a whiff of something he hoped he’d never have to smell again.
He turned his head to the entrance where a man with a high ponytail in a business suit was walking out with a couple other men in business suits. He watched his nose flare then turn to look at Inuyasha, then Kagome next to him, their eyes met for a second and he made a beeline for their table.
“Kagome!” he said merrily, Inuyasha whipped around to look at Kagome who was waving at him.
“Kouga! What are you doing here?”
“Just having a business meeting over breakfast with some associates at the bank, what are you doing here?” he said off handedly.
“Having breakfast with my friends,” she smiled.
“You know each other?” Inuyasha interjected, this whole thing was all too familiar.
“Yeah, Kagome’s my woman.” Kouga said easily, challenging him with his eyes, “Is that a problem dog-shit?”
“Keh, like I care,” ‘why do I care?’
“Well, my associates are waiting for me I’ll see you Monday Kagome,” he said winking then strolling away.
“You’re dating Kouga?” Inuyasha grouched.
“Yeah why do you care?” Kagome said hotly.
“I don…” he was cut off by his cell phone ringing, he pulled out his cell phone it was an unfamiliar number.
“Hello?”
“Inuyasha it’s Keade, Kikyo’s sister. Have you seen her? She’s been missing for two weeks, and she hasn’t gone to work and her apartment is vacated.”
“I haven’t seen her either we broke up again,” he state matter of factly.
“Really?” she said he could hear the worry in her voice.
“Don’t worry I’ll find her” he said resolutely.
“Thank you Inuyasha. I knew I could count on you,”
“I’ll call you if I find anything out,”
He ended the call and looked at his friends who were all staring at him expectantly.
“I have to go, Kikyo’s missing.” He chanced a look at Kagome she looked really disappointed, ‘I can’t worry about Kagome now Kikyo is in danger.’
