“You still thinking about asking her out?” a teen about the age of 18 said as he elbowed his best friend in the ribs. The other teen, a rebellious looking youth grinned.

“Yeah, isn’t she beautiful?” InuYasha said as he watched her show the freshmen around. She led them like a mother hen and her chicks, careful not to lose any of them while making sure they knew where everything was on the campus.

“Dude, maybe to you.” Miroku said as he took a drink of his soda. He tossed a bag of nacho cheese chips to his friend, Koga.

“She’s a little to,” Koga said then munched on the chips, “preppy for me.”

“She isn’t like that at all. She’s a wonderful person with a big heart.” InuYasha said as he looked over at her smiling face. She laughed at something one of the freshmen said. Her laughter was like the sun coming out on a cloudy day. “Yeah, she’s the one.” He stood, running a hand through his hair. Grinning at his buddy he walked over to her.

“Wanna bet she says no?” Koga asked as he fished a ten dollar bill from his pocket.

“She’ll say yes, she likes him too.” Miroku said as he pulled a ten from his wallet. They shook hands.

Both watched as InuYasha talked to her and Koga handed Miroku the ten when Kikyo nodded yes and InuYasha walked over to them with a smile.

“She said yes.” InuYasha said as he sat down and took a large bite out of his burger.

“Told you Koga.” Miroku said as he put the money in his wallet.

“Well, where are you taking her?” Koga asked as he snatched the fries out of InuYasha’s hands. He popped a couple in his mouth before InuYasha smacked him on the back of his head.

“That new place that just opened up,” He paused as if remembering the name, “Shikon.”

“That place is supposed to be great.” Miroku said as he stood, tossing the garbage from their lunch into a trash can nearby.

“You should try out for the Basketball team Miroku.” Koga said as they all walked towards the main school building, where their next class was held. The bell rang shrilly, signaling the end of lunch.

“Nah, I would much rather watch the girls in their shorts, then have them watch me.” Miroku said as they took a seat in their History class.

Kikyo took a seat next to InuYasha and smiled as he glanced at her. ~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~   3 Years Ago  

“Can I open my eyes now?” Kikyo asked as InuYasha led her into the restaurant they had went to on their first date, to the table they had sat at.

“Just sit down.” He said gruffly, but the tone one of love.

“Alright! Why are being so secretive?” She asked him as she laughed.

“Because!” he replied as he pushed her chair in. “Alright, you can open your eyes.”

“Oh!” She gasped as she looked around, “This is Shikon!” She looked up at him, her eyes shadowed with pink and her lips rosy. She wore a creamy pink dress that fell loosely around her calves.

“Yeah it is.” He said as a blush rose on his face. He wore a red dress shirt and black dress pants. His long, unruly hair was tamed in a ponytail. He say down across from her with a grin.

“Are you ready to order?” A waiter dressed in old fashioned monk’s garb asked.

“Well, Kikyo?” InuYasha asked as he gave him his order.

“I’ll have a shrimp salad and then the rosemary chicken with a glass of lemon water.” She said, ordering the exact same thing she did the first time they were here.

“I will be back with your drinks.” He said then swept away.

“I didn’t think you would remember our 2 year anniversary.” She said as the waiter placed the water in front of her and the cola in front of him. “You know that stuff is like acid, right?” she asked him.

“Of course I would remember it.” He took a large drink and said, “Hanyou remember? My enamel grows back in like an hour.”

“It’s hard to recall, when you always wear that concealment spell.” she said as she reached over to touch the beads.

“Yeah, but I would get a lot of attention for my ears.” He said gruffly.

“But I love them so much!” she said as a twinkle appeared in her eye.

“Not as much as I love you Kikyo.” He said as the waiter set their order down.

“I love you more!”

“No I do!”

“I love you to the power of 2”

“I love you to the power of infinity.”

“That’s not fair!” Kikyo said as she crossed her arms.

InuYasha stood and kneeled in front of her. She looked at him startled. He pulled out a small black box.

“Kikyo Misagumi, will you marry me?” he asked. Tears sprung in her eyes.

“Yes InuYasha, yes!” Kikyo said as she hugged him. ~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~   1 Year and 6 Months Ago  

“I now pronounce you Husband and Wife, you may now kiss the bride.” The priest said.

InuYasha picked her up, placed a kiss on her and spun her around, making the long skirt of her dress flair out and wrap around them. His long silver hair gleamed in the light, her request to him, that they marry with him as his real self.

“Well Mrs. Takahashi, how does it feel to be married to me?” He asked her as he led her to her mother and father.

“Wonderful,” She said as she kissed him again.

“Congratulations Kikyo and InuYasha!” They hugged him and her together in a bear hug. “May you live your lives together and be happy!”

“Thank you for your blessing Mr. Misagumi.” InuYasha said as he bowed respectfully to his father in law. ~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~   9 Months Ago   　

“Inu?” came the worried voice from beyond the bathroom door.

“Yeah? He asked her softly. He knew it was a risk as did she.

“It’s positive.” She said as she opened the door.

“Are you sure?” he asked her, eyes full of worry.

“Yes.” She said as she hugged him.

“Really?”

“Yes!” She laughed as he picked her up and twirled her around, her light pink bath robe fluttering in the air.

“Positive?”

“I need to see the doctor to be really positive, but yes I think so.” ~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~   3 Months Ago   　

“There is a risk that you may have difficulty in labor, Mrs. Takahashi.” The doctor said to her. She was pale and frail looking.

“Is there any way to reduce the risk?” InuYasha asked him.

“No, there is not. Lets just hope the baby isn’t very large.” He said. ~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~ Five Days Ago   　

“We are truly sorry, there was nothing we could do.” They told him. He clutched the edge of his chair, his claws tearing into them.

“No.” he spoke softly.

“We were able to save the child. You have a healthy baby girl.” They said as they watched him.

“Why!” He snarled as he looked up at the doctors, his eyes bleeding red.

“InuYasha, calm down you are scaring these doctors.” A calm and cool voice said as a regal looking man walked in.

“Fuck you Sesshomaru!” InuYasha snarled as he stood.

“I am truly sorry.” Sesshomaru smashed his fist into the hanyou’s face. He fell to the floor limp. He turned to the doctors.

“We understand. It is not the first time a demon has lost his mate.” The doctor said.

“She was his mate, but not life bonded.” Sesshomaru picked his half-brother up and carried him over his shoulder. Pausing to look at his wife he nodded.

She dialed a number. “Miroku, This is Rin. She died in childbirth. Sesshomaru is bring him to your house.”
