Kagome spent at least an hour being massaged, pampered, fixed up, and tended to. But soon it came time to where she could go where she had been wanting to go to. She finally got to sit and lay in the hot springs… alone with no one around so she could think peacefully. The steam from the springs made her breathe clearly and the water made her muscles not tense up making any pain go away that she might have. She laid against the rocks letting her head be rested without having to hold the weight of it up. She let her arms be free and opened her legs wide so she could sink further into the water. The water then went up past her breasts but below her neck. Her hair was no longer pinned up and it moved freely as the ripples of the water would make the longer part (only the tips of course) of her hair move sometimes almost in a dance like motion. Knowing that no one was around she knew she could softly speak aloud to herself so maybe she could understand her thoughts better. “Inuyasha has been so kind today. I wonder if he really cares for me… no he’s just interested in the shikon jewel shards. Or is he? I suppose he still loves Kikyo…and that’s why he really sticks around me. He just wants to use me.” At that moment though, she became thoughtful and thought of the other possibilities… “But what if he does care for me and no longer cares for Kikyo… Maybe … Sango once said that he really did care for me and that any time she left he would wait beside the well impatiently. Besides that… he always does sometimes show that he cares for me. But I usually see it more when he is human. It won’t matter one day he’ll become full demon and he won’t care for me.” By this time her nose was just slightly above the water’s edge. Then ideas of Inuyasaha kissing her began to flood her mind. She felt excited about it and began to ponder more on the thoughts… she became more enticed and exited by thought of a single kiss. “What am I doing? I must be crazy thinking like this… (with bubbles of water coming up out of the water as she mumbles) But it would be nice.” After minutes of soaking she finally got up and got dressed. Her spa time was over and now she was ready to head out for the firework show. As she walked out the door Inuyasha was standing right at her seemingly to tower over her with anger. “You know how long I was waiting! You think you could had taken any longer?!” “Inuyasha, Sit boy!” Inuyasha hit the ground. Kagome mumbles, “Somethings just never change.” Inuyasha managed to get back to his feet while rubbing his head. “Do you have to do that?” At that moment, Inuyasha began sniffing the air smelling a smell he had never smelled before. “What is it Inuyasha? Is something…” Before she could finish she found Inuyasha sniffing her stomach and all over her body. Then his face was almost directly at her breasts without him even realizing it. She slapped him across the face while trying to hide her flushed face. She didn’t want to admit but that actually excited her. But why did he do that was one of the questions that went through her mind. “You don’t smell like Kagome… who are you? You have a different smell that I have never smelled before. I mean I have only smelled this smell from other demons. Wait… Koga! I can’t believe you Kagome.” “You think I would actually sleep with him. You have some nerve Inuyasha. I would not sleep with Koga. What even makes you think?” Inuyasha didn’t want to tell her that he could smell her and notice when she got excited. She was excited now, and he figured some demon had just messed with her noticing the difference in scent. It would explain everything. Kagome realized he was being serious. Inuyasha looked hurt. “Why do you care Inuyasha anyways… you have Kikyo.” “Kikyo means nothing to me! I care for…” His mouth quieted realizing he almost said that he cared for Kagome. How could he care for her though? She could not love him ever. “Let’s go Kagome. I have one last place to take you before the show tonight… then you can get rid of me and be with Koga.” Kagome grabbed his hand and stopped him in his tracks. She made him turn around so he could look at her. “I don’t know how you think I smell different. But I am Kagome. I have been with no other person besides you… Inuyasha… I don’t like Koga…” “Who do you like?” Kagome blushes but she is too lost in thought to answer. Inuyasha could smell her new smell and the smell of excitement flowing from her body. He decided to question no more and said okay in a hurtful tone. Inuyasha led her to store full of jewelry. Kagome thought, “Why is he taking me here?” Everything had been so confusing to her today. Inuyasha was acting weird more than usual. Inuyasha walked in and talked to the man behind the wooden bamboo counter. The man handed Inuyasha something shiny, Inuyasha grabbing it in his hand. Kagome looked at him intently trying to see what it was. She got on her tippy-toes and tried to look over his shoulders, but his shoulders were broad and hard to look over. Inuyasha then turned around, and as he did put his hands behind his back to hide the object. “What are you hiding from me Inuyasha?” Kagome asked. “Kagome can you turn around and pull your hair out of the way?” She gave him a weird look as if she was confused or upset. But she did as she was asked and turned around and pulled the hair off her neck. As she did so, Inuyasha took out the shiny object and moved his hands over her shoulders and put something around her neck. “Okay, I’m done.” She could feel something cold as his hands left her neck. She looked down and noticed there was a silver necklace with three emerald-cut diamonds in the center. The center diamond had six small rubies wrapping around it. On the ends (side not touching the rubies on the center diamond) of the other two diamonds were two rubies side by side. Kagome’s eyes widened at the shock of the beauty of the necklace. She slid her fingertips under the necklace and picked up for a closer look. It was just loose enough to see that each diamond was in a shape of a daisy and each ruby the shape of a rose. Each stone was highly detailed and could be made out to the perfect detail. “Inuyasha, it’s .. it’s beautiful. I could had never Imagined a necklace like this ever in my wildest dreams! I don’t know what to say.” He smiled and said, “Well… (he scratches his head nervously) I am sure you have been given better gifts by better guys in the past (he then seems a little sad).” Kagome shook her head no with shock and said, “I have never been given a gift like this from anyone… ever…” At that point all she wanted to do was hold Inuyasha as her passions began to swell. Before long the passions ran wild and the thoughts of doing more than just kissing came back. She tried to shield her mind from it, but she had a tough time doing so… especially with him standing right in front of her. She let her hands off the necklace and put them to her side. She was about to say something else but before she got the chance, Inuyasha was already out the door. “Hurry up woman or we’ll be late for the fireworks.” Kagome’s passions and thoughts disappeared as she said, “If you think that necklace will make up for all the times you have been rude to me, you better think again.” After that they fought for several minutes as Kagome followed Inuyasha to wherever he might be taking her. But they finally stopped fighting when they reached an open field area with only a few trees scattered about. “This is where we’ll watch the fireworks Kagome.” Their fighting stopped as Kagome gazed up to notice the sun was setting. “Isn’t it beautiful Inuyasha?” Inuyasha didn’t respond, but that was because he had disappeared. “Inuyasha where are you?” Kagome shouted. “I’m over her Kagome, come here.” Inuyasha was lying against a trunk of a tree sitting down looking up into the sky. Kagome began to walk toward him, but she suddenly felt week and fell down. The grass was so tall that Inuyasha didn’t even see her. Inuyasha paying no attention to Kagome (because he was upset over the argument they had), kept looking up to the sky as he crossed his arms putting his hands in the opposite sleeve. Kagome was lying on the ground slightly moaning feeling something on her back… as if it was something growing. She felt the same about her ears, but she didn’t know what was going on, and she couldn’t check to see what it was because her body wan unable to move. Soon her hands felt the same way along with her feet. Kagome began to feel feint and became hardly conscious to anything going on. Kagome eventually gained ability to move and sat up to upon her knees. “What could be going on with me?” she said to herself as she became more conscious. She looked at her hands to notice that her nails had almost become like small claws. “Ow my head hurts,” she said as she moved her hand to rub her head, but as she did she noticed something different. “No way! I have … cat ears!” She looked down to confirm those were actually cat ears. She saw that she had cat legs starting three inches below the knee. She moved her hands down toward her butt, and immediately she knew what the weird thing was feeling as she put her hands there. She had a tail. “I must be dreaming! There is no way I just turned all neko.” At that moment Inuyasaha smelt demon blood. “Kagome must be in trouble. He could verily make out Kagome’s scent, but when he did, he could smell the demon on top of her. “Get away from Kagome you demon.” Kagome looked up and saw Inuyasha running toward her. “He must think I am a demon. Oh no, he’s going to kill me. I got to run, but how am I going to out run him.” She put her hands to the ground and let her toes lie right behind her butt bending her knees. She began to run like a cat in the tall grass as Inuyasha ran with lightning speed trying to catch up with the demon thought to be. “Man that thing is fast,” he thought. By instict, Kagome turned quickly around and pounced on Inuyasaha sending him to the ground. She jumped off quickly and began running again. Inuyasha only got a glimpse of her and said to himself, “That almost looked like Kagome.” He got back to his feet, but before he could completely rise to stand, Kagome pounced on him again. She couldn’t figure out why she was doing what she did. But she was having fun doing it. Instinct had taken over and she was now acting like a cat would. This time Inuyasha got a good look at her. “That’s Kagome. She looks like … she’s a half-demon. That’s impossible. I would smell it on her.” Kagome pounced on him again and this time not getting up. “Inuyasha, don’t attack me okay? It’s me Kagome. I don’t know how I ended up like this, but I did.” Inuyasha looked at her then while looking at her he still saw the bite marks of the demon that had bit her still on the neck. “Kagome, when that demon bit you, he must had somehow made you half demon.” “But how come it took this long to change?” Inuyasha looked up in the sky to think. He saw the moon out shining brightly. Then he remembered how the moon looked the night she was bit. The moon was the same size and everything, but not the same color. The color of that moon that night must had affected the bite somehow. “You only change at the light of moon Kagome. That’s why. I remember a tale Myoga once told me about the bite of a cat. If by right color of the moon, a bite by a demon cat can cause one to become half cat demon by moonlight. That must had been the color he was talking about. But it’s only by moonlight.” Inuyasha then realized the pain she would go through as he did as a half-demon. He felt compassion for her. But now… he she was like him. She was a half-demon. Kagome instinctively began licking Inuyasha’s face like a cat. “Sorry (managing to say this while licking), I haven’t learned to control my animal instincts like you have I guess…” but before she got to finish Inuyasha spoke and she stopped licking. “I …I …” Kagome tried to hold back her instincts, but they wouldn’t allow her. Those silly girls of mine from school always tried to get me to go with that guy, but for some reason, you always came to mind. And don’t bring up Koga… I can’t stand that selfish jerk.
