For seven days Kikyo took care of the priestess, while Kikyo was out collecting herbs Keada was watching the priestess with great interest.

Keada: (she is pretty without the blood on her face and her wounds are healing very quickly I wonder when she'll wake up)

As if hearing the young girl's thoughts the priestess' eyes began to flutter open. Her storm blue eyes widened when she released she wasn't in her own hut.

Keada: Your finally awake. I was wondering when you would.

Priestess: Who are you and where am I?

Keada: oh yes I am Keada and you are in my village. What is your name?

Priestess: My name is Kagome.

Keada: I'll be right back I have to get Kikyo to inform her you have awakened.

Keada rushes out of the hut to fetch Kikyo leaving Kagome in her thoughts.

Kagome: (Where exactly am I?) Why am I here? Who was that strange little girl?)

As she is pondering these questions Kikyo and Keada come into the hut.

Kikyo: I see you have awakened that is good, it means you are recovering.

Kagome: Who are you? Where am I? Why am I here?

Kikyo: My name is Kikyo. You're in my village, because yours was destroyed.

Kagome sat still, totally shocked at what Kikyo had just told her. She didn't believe her until her memories of the battle came back to her. Kikyo walked over to Kagome and wrapped her arms around her to show her some sort of comfort.

Kikyo: I can't begin to understand the pain you're going through.

By now Kagome had broken down in tears, crying on Kikyo's shoulder.

Kikyo: please forgive my cruelty but since you have nowhere else to go you will stay here and help me protect the jewel.

Kagome: * wipes tears away* very well, only because you have been kind enough to care for me and the jewel is a big responsibility, but you will allow me to o to my village and bury the dead won't you?

Kikyo: Of course but wait until you are fully healed. Now rest.
