Hey everybody, ready for another chapter? Pretty twisted huh? I sure never thought Kayome would go for... i won't spoil it for those of you who don't know. Although if you don't...nevermind. Anyways, on with the fic!!
Chapter 13: Possible Death
Kayome and her friend were kind of distant from the group. Kayome tried to avoid inuyasha whenever possible.
"Kayome i can't beleive you are trying to avoid him. He is so hot."
Kayome rolled her eyes, "I don't like him though."
"Well that other guy is really hot too." they laughed and then Rikku walked over.
"Hey girls, what's going on?" He sat down next to Kayome and put an arm around her.
"Hey rikku, i thought you were out hunting."
Hotaru looked at him with raised eyebrow.
"Ya well Kouga told me to look after you guys."
"You are lying thru your teeth."Kayome said taking his arm off of her shoulders.
"Well, matbe." he gave her a cheeky smile and she got up.
"Hey Sango. She waved to the demon exterminator then walked over to her.
"hello Kayome. Is young Rikku bugging you again?"
"No not really. Hotaru seems to be getting close to him though." she as she looked back over at the two. it was as though she had never been there.
"Yes they have. Is hotaru staying with us forever?"
Kayoe thought for a second. "I hope so. she and i always talked about moving away with eachother."
Sango smiled and a tear rolled down her face.
"Why are you crying Lady sango?" Kayome was concerned, what had caused this?
"When Kagome was still alive we talked about defeating naraku and then i would go back with her and she would show me the ways of the modern times. i always thought about after she passed. we were good friends too. just like you and hotaru."
"Oh i haven't talked to her in a while. she hasn't visited me lately."
"Don't worry she is always watching you."
"I know."
Sango hugged Kayome, then smiled and walked in the direction of Miroku.
Kayome looked at her surroundings and watched the people. they were all so happy.
Naraku was in a tree half asleep, sango and miroku had sat down together near the stream while hotaru and rikku flirted with eachother.
Inuyasha and shippo were playing a game of Jankins.(I think that is what it is called.)
She walked to ward her friends and all of a sudden her shoulder was pinned to a tree by an arrow.She screamed out in agony and all looked at her. inuyasha and naraku made a run for her but a barrier went up stopping them.
"Kayome!!"
Inuyasha kept trying to break the sheild. "Inuyasha stopit you can't break thru it. Hang on!"
Inuyasha glared at the hanyou next to him. "Then what do you want me to do?" he was angry and desprate!
"I don't know."
As they looked another arrow went zooming at kayome. it hit her in her other shoulder making it hard for her to move.
She looked at her shoulders both of thm spilling blood freely. Tears rolled down her cheeks.
"What the hell i going on?" she sobbed.
An evil voice cackled and broke th esemisilence.
"Kayome you should have killed me when you had the chance."
Kayome looked thru the tears toward the voice. It was kikyo.
"Kikyo," she ws having a hard time breathing and sweating now.
"What the hell did you do to me?" she tried to say, but it only came out s a whisper.
"I have poisoned you and without the right herbs you will die. unfortunatly the only one who has the herbs is me." She held up a small pouch filled with a blue type of plant.
"I will leave you here and the ones who love you will wtch you suffer. good bye kayome."
Kikyo disapeared and left the others trying to break the barrier. the last thing kayome saw before she passed out was inuyasha finally breaking thru the sheild...but to late.
"Kayome! NOOOO!!!"
