Kagome explains to her mom what happened in the feudal era. She gets invited to the movies, Sesshomaru and Inuyasha come to visit. They go to the movies and spend the night.

: Well Kagome has a lot to explain to her mother and to go back to an almost normal life. She has to reconnect with her old friends, including Hojo. Kashia is going to be in the story, more than she normally is (which is almost never). This story is not near over yet, I can still fish out a lot more chapters. This is a long chapter! I am literally exhausted by this but I did it for all you readers who are sick and tired of short wimpy chapters. It is over 10 pages!

Back at Home (For awhile)

Kagome had a lot of explaining to do.

“Momma, I'm home” Kagome yelled. The family was in the kitchen area.

“It's been awhile, I missed you” Souta said.

“Whose baby is that?” He asked.

“MY daughter, Kashia” She introduced to him, lowering the baby just enough so he could see.

“Is it Inuyasha's?” Mrs. H asked.

“No, it's Sesshomaru's, after I missed you guys Souta's birthday, Inuyasha was with Kikyo, Sesshomaru took me in & I grew to love him over time, we became mates & I had Kashia a few months ago” She explained.

“Who is Sesshomaru?” Souta asked.

“What does being a mate mean?” Mrs. H asked

. “Sesshomaru is Inuyasha's half brother, they have to same father & he's full demon, being mated is equivalent to being married but in the demon world” She continued explaining.

“What happened to Inuyasha?” Souta asked.

“I am mated with him as well, I tried to forget him but I couldn't so I made him my 2nd mate, but I won't be having any child anymore” She smiled.

“Can you legally have 2 mates?” Mrs. H asked.

“Yes I can legally and the reason I'm here is because a strange man threatened me & Kashia's life” Kagome said.

“She is really yours?” Souta asked.

“Of course, I love her so much” Kagome answered.

“So how long will you be staying?” Mrs. H asked.

“A few weeks I guess” She answered.

“You have a friends looking for you for weeks now” Mrs. H said.

Kashia fussed in Kagome's arms. “Do you have any milk?” Kagome asked.

“Of course, I got an old bottle from when Souta was a baby” Mrs. H said cheerfully. She filled it

“Do you want to feed her?” Kagome offered. Mrs. H didn't hesitate to grab up the pup & offer her the bottle.

“I really haven't fed a baby in awhile” She chuckled. Kashia ate quietly.

“Kagome, not that it's any of my business, but I think you should choose between your 2 mates” Mrs. H suggested.

`Maybe I was too harsh to Sango, she tried to help me and I felt bad'

“But how can I choose? If I choose Inuyasha, then Kashia will be left without a father and he'll probably try to kill Inuyasha, but if I choose Sesshomaru, Inuyasha will lose the little self esteem that he still has right now” Kagome said.

“Do not choose now, choose after some time. See how you feel about each one of them, see how comfortable you are around each one, how passionate they are for you, and then choose. Do not choose because Sesshomaru is Kashia's father; choose for love, for happiness” Mrs. H said.

The phone rang. Souta raced to get it.

“Hello Higurashi residence“He answered.

“Can I speak to Kagome?” Hojo asked.

“Kagome, a friend is on the phone” Souta asked. She got up to get it.

“Hello?” she said.

“Kagome, I just called to see if you were well” Hojo said.

“I am” She said softly.

“I was wondering, since you're feeling better if you'd like to go to the movies tomorrow, Ayumi and Eri are going too?” Hojo asked.

“Um, I gotta see if my mom will babysit?” She said.

“Baby sit Souta?” Hojo asked.

“Yeah, that's what I meant” She quickly caught herself.

`I forgot no one knows about Kashia, so I shouldn't say anything, besides I'm not technically married and I really don't want to explain my situation'

She set the phone down and walked over to her mom.

“Ma, can I go out to the movies tomorrow? I need you to watch Kashia for awhile” Kagome asked.

“Sure of course, go see your friends” Mrs. H said happily. Kagome hurried back to the phone.

“Hojo, what time should I meet you?” She asked.

“7 p.m., Do you need a ride?” He asked.

“Oh now, I can get there on my own” She said truthfully.

“Goodnight Kagome” He said nicely.

“Goodnight” She repeated.

“I don't have to leave till evening, I got all day to relax” She said to herself.

“I miss Momma, she would have made dinner so much more interesting” Shippo said.

“Momma would have” Rin agreed.

“Look Runts, Kagome left so she and Kashia could be safe, do you want them to get hurt?” Inuyasha asked.

“Of course not” They said in unison.

“Then don't worry about her, she's safe and alive and away from the drama” Sesshomaru cut in. They were both trying to think of who would be after Kagome, but came up empty handedly.

`We should visit her tomorrow'

`We can't show up so unexpectedly, I'm sure she is fine where she is now'

`I bet she's missing us terribly, we are her mates and she has been ripped away from us'

`For her own safety, I thought you agreed to let her go'

`We promised to visit, there's no time frame that's too early to visit, I love her and I want to sleep beside her'

`We can't stay, we have responsibilities here'

`No we don't, have Jaken watch the runts, Kagura and Kanna are here too'

`Come on, don't think that they can protect them, they couldn't protect Kagome from you, when you raped her'

Inuyasha stopped growling with him then. He hadn't forgot but no one has talked about it since well, after he apologized. The pups must have left during their growling because the table was empty.

“Well I'm going to see her tomorrow and I won't wait for you” Inuyasha said.

`I didn't mean to offend him; I was just trying to show him how they lack the skills to protect the pups. I am going only because if Inuyasha goes and I don't show then she'll feel that I didn't care as much'

Sesshomaru decided to go to bed. “Goodnight Inuyasha” He said.

“Keh” was his little response.

`He didn't have to bring up the rape, he didn't kill me and he doesn't blame me too much, I guess he wasn't trying to offend me but he's always sneaky like that'

Inuyasha went to the bed.

Kagome tossed and turned in her bedroom. She was trying to get some sleep before the big day but it is turned out hopeless. Without one of her mates, she had nothing to give her the comfort. Her room was the same but she couldn't turn her mind off, she wondered if Sesshomaru could get through the well, even though Kashia could.

She was exhausted and restless.

`I wonder if they'll come see me, they know how much they mean to me, and I want to go back so badly, but I can't risk it'

The next day,

“Come on Fluffy, we gotta go visit her” Inuyasha urged.

“No need to rush, she isn't going anywhere” Sess said.

“She may go see her friends Ayumi and Eri and Hojo” Inuyasha said.

“Hojo doesn't sound like a feminine name” Sess stated.

“It's not, Hojo is a boy” Inuyasha informed.

“Did they ever date?” Sess asked.

“I don't know much about them” Yasha said honestly.

“That is unacceptable, she is committed to us and she needs to remember that” Sesshomaru said.

“She doesn't feel that way about him, she made that perfectly clear” Yasha said.

“How do you plan to get there?” Inuyasha asked.

“I'm using my cloud as I always do” Sess answered.

“I'll run” Yasha said.

“We have to arrive in her time at the same time, you will ride with me, Little brother” Sess told him. Inuyasha was confused over it, his brother actually offering to allow him to ride.

Kagome was awaken by the sun shining in her face. She slide off the edge of her bed and went downstairs. “Morning family” She called out. But no one greeted her. She found a note on the fridge.

Dear Kagome,

The family went out on a little shopping trip for Kashia; we know there isn't much in the other world. Spend the afternoon relaxing and have fun; I'm sure it's been awhile since you have had a break from Kashia.

Mom, Grandpa & Souta

Kagome was a little disappointed by that, she had hoped to squeeze extra time in with Kashia.

`Well I can spend the day, watching the news and finding out what it's been like, I can have dinner ready and get dressed for the movies tonight'

“Kagome” Inuyasha yelled.

`Oh no, Inuyasha's here, he'll never let me go to the movies tonight, what am I going to do?'

“Inuyasha” She called. She ran to the front door to let them in.

“Sesshomaru?” She said, slightly confused.

`Did she not expect me to come and see her? Or is she shocked because I made it through the barrier?'

She hugged him first. Inuyasha definitely took notice to that.

`So she hugs him first, even though she saw me first, or what is it with her? And where is Kashia?'

“I didn't know you were going to come, I thought it'd be a few days” She admitted.

“Do you have other things to do today?” Sess asked.

“Later I'm catching up with friends” She said.

“Where is Kashia?” Inuyasha asked.

“My mother took her shopping, to get new clothes so when we go back, we can have enough to take care of it” She answered.

Both Inuyasha and Sesshomaru weren't happy about that.

“When are you going out later?” Inu asked.

“Around 7, after dinner, I'm only going to the movies” She said.

“Movies?” Sess asked.

“Paintings, put together over and over to make a motion picture” Kagome tried to explain.

“Is that Hobo guy going?” Yasha asked.

“Yes, but Eri and Ayumi will be there as well” She said.

“We shall join you” Sess said.

“What?” She looked confused.

“We will get concealment charms, and join you and your human companions” Sess said.

“You guys can't take your swords around or wear what you are wearing now; We'll have to go shopping for new clothes” Kagome said.

“We will go ahead with it” Sess said.

“Go ahead and get the concealment charms from Kaede, you guys have to blend in” Kagome said.

Inuyasha decided to get the charms, only because Kagome asked him nicely.

“Sess, we have to go shopping, you and Inuyasha should be almost the same size” She said.

“If anyone asks, we are dating” She informed him.

“Dating?” Sess questioned.

“The human term for 2 people who are courting” She explained.

Kagome took some money for her wallet, `a couple hundred after time has been saved, I hope it's enough for clothes for the 2 of them

' “Do not kill anyone, here killing is a major crime and I don't want to draw attention to ourselves, let me do all the talking and you have to listen to me, the smells in this time are strong and there are a lot of humans walking around” Kagome warned.

Inuyasha went through the well, which luckily was nearby Kaede's village.

“old hag, I need 2 concealment charms” He said.

“Is that anyway to ask?” She said.

“Sorry, Kaede, Can you please make me 2 concealment charms?” He asked.

“What type of effect do you need for it?” Kaede asked.

“Hair nails, eyes, ears must look human, and It needs to be the total package” Inuyasha said.

“It'll take awhile to do, I have other duties to attend to, and if you want to help me then you can speed up the process” Kaede suggested.

“What do you need?” He asked, rolling his eyes.

“I need you to pick out some herbs for some medications, to pull the weeds from the garden and bring a ton of water to this area” Kaede said. Inuyasha was going to be doing the manual labor.

“Do you need anything for the charms?” He asked.

“No, I have those materials here” She confirmed.

Inuyasha had to look for 3 plants, luckily they were all in the area but they were prickly little plants that hurt her a little bit when he got them. Pulling the weeds was a tedious task because there was a bunch of rows of plants to pull up.

The water wasn't too bad. The river was close by so after he finished his jobs; he went back to her house.

“Are the charms done?” He asked.

((I skipped the shopping thing))

“That wasn't too bad” She sighed in relief.

“Humans here smell worse than humans in my time” He commented.

“I'm sorry” She said.

“It's not your fault” He said.

“I got it” Inuyasha yelled. He was already wearing his concealment charm.

“You look great, we already went shopping” Kagome said. Inuyasha hated his appearance but glad it pleased her.

“Here are our charms, they are ankle bracelets, we can hid them under our clothes and it'll make us look like I do on my human night” Inuyasha said.

“Here” Kagome took the charm from him.

She kneeled down in front of Sesshomaru and clasped it around his ankle.

“Is it took tight?” She asked.

“It's fine” He answered. Her head was right below his private areas. She backed away and then stood up.

“I have to make dinner for the family, they'll be back soon” She said.

“What do you want us to do?” Inuyasha asked.

“I'm not sure, why don't you go sit on the couch” She said.

She began cutting up vegetables for the soup she was making. Sesshomaru watched her.

“Explain what you are doing” He said.

“Cutting up vegetables for the soup” She said.

“Where did you get them from?” He asked

. “We have a store, kinda like a market place that you get them from for a price” She said.

“We're home” Souta yelled. He stopped when he saw Inuyasha and Sesshomaru.

“Momma, Kagome has guests over” He yelled.

“Stop that noise” Sesshomaru ordered.

“Sess don't talk to my little brother like that” Kagome said from over the stove.

“My name is Souta, what's yours?” Souta asked politely.

“Sesshomaru” He said.

“You're Inuyasha's brother” He added.

“Half-brother” Sess corrected. Mrs. H came in with Kashia in her arms.

“Kagome, you didn't have to start dinner, I brought chicken in from the market” Mrs. H said.

Sesshomaru sniffed near her.

`Kashia seems happy in this woman's arms and the woman's scent reminds me of Kagome, it must be her mother'

“It's an honor to meet you Mrs. Hiragashi” Sess said. `He actually said something polite'

“Hello Momma H” Inuyasha said.

`Momma H?'

`It's her nickname; she doesn't like things too formal'

`She is Kagome's mother, correct?'

`correct, her father died awhile back'

`A very sad thing'

“What are they doing?” Mrs. H whispered.

“Just talking, in their language, it's alright” She assured her.

“Now that all the introductions have been done, Dinner is almost ready” Kagome said. Both Inus looked at her.

“Come on, we have to wash up” Kagome led them to the bathroom.

“You softly turn the knob to get water to come out, the right gives out cold water, the left gives out hot, you use that little bar to wash your hands, it's soap. When you're done you dry your hands by wiping them on the towel hanging on the hook” Kagome said. She demonstrated it.

“Can you handle it?” She teased.

“This Sesshomaru can” Sess said.

“Why did you refer to yourself the way you use to?” Kagome asked.

“Habits die hard” Yasha said, starting to wash his hands. Sesshomaru was a little nervous about doing it, afraid he'd do it wrong but he knew he could if Inuyasha could.

He did it with minor problems.

“Let's eat, the movie is 2 hours long and I don't want you guys to get hungry” Kagome said. She served Inuyasha and Sesshomaru the soup first.

“How would you like your meat?” Mrs. H asked them.

“Raw” Sess said.

“Same for me” Inuyasha said. Mrs. H was afraid that Souta would be upset by the sight of raw meat being eaten.

“Momma I'll be alright” Souta said. Sesshomaru and Inuyasha began to eat; they were so hungry that they ate quickly.

“I have to get ready, you two as well” She said.

She took their dishes and put them in the sink.

“Inuyasha, you get changed in Souta's room, Sesshomaru you can get changed in one of our spare bedrooms” She said.

“What about you?” Souta asked.

“I need to shower and then get dressed in my room” Kagome said.

Kagome didn't plan on wearing anything special. She hoped that the movie would be ok and they'd watch it quietly. She wore a nice t-shirt and jeans. She knocked on Souta's door.

“Inuyasha, are you ready?” She asked.

“I can't seem to get these pants to work” He mumbled.

“I'm coming in, make sure you're decent” She warned and waited a few seconds before coming in. He was wearing a black wife beater and saggy blue jeans, his abs and muscular arms were looking great to her. She helped him zip it up and button it.

“You're ready” She said.

“I have to check on Sess” She announced and left.

She knocked on Sess's door.

“Sesshomaru, how are you doing?” She asked. He didn't respond.

“I'm coming in, so be decent” She warned. When she came in she saw that he had his jeans on but used his sash to hold it up.

“Sess, that isn't how it's suppose to be worn” She took off the sash and helped him button his pants.

“Thank you” He said.

“Come on, it's nearly 7, we have to get to the movies. Ayumi and Eri will be asking a lot of question. You both are brothers, who are friends of mine and you cannot say anything about your time and if they say something just agree to it, I'll do most of the talking” She warned.

“Bye Momma” Kagome said, she kissed Kashia on the forehead and then her mother. A car rode past them.

“What is that contraption?” He asked.

“A car, it helps humans travel at fast paces” She explained. They crossed the street and were at the theaters.

“Ayumi, Eri, Hojo” Kagome said.

“Who are they?” Ayumi asked.

“Oh, friends from out of town, they're brothers. Sesshomaru and Inuyasha” She pointed at each of them.

“Nice to meet you” Eri said.

“Nice to meet you” Inuyasha repeated.

“Kagome, I never knew they are your friends” Hojo said.

“Well yeah, they are” Kagome brushed it aside.

“What movie are we going to go see?” She asked.

“The hills have eyes 2” Ayumi suggested.

“Sounds scary” Eri said.

“It'll be ok” Hojo promised her.

They walked off ahead.

“This is a scary movie, it is fake and made my people using technology” She whispered so low that without enhanced hearing, no one would have heard. She made sure she sat between Inuyasha and Sesshomaru.

During the scary parts she would squeeze their hands.

`What is she so afraid of? These creatures are not half as scary as the demons she's faced before; they look so weak to me'

“That was great! Thanks for inviting us” Kagome said.

“Want to do something tomorrow?” Ayumi asked.

“Sure what?” Kagome asked.

“Shopping at the mall” Eri said.

“I think I'll pass” Hojo said.

“I'll go, what time?” Kagome asked.

“Tomorrow at noon” Ayumi answered.

“Will Sesshomaru and Inuyasha be there?” Eri asked.

“Oh no, they'll be going back tomorrow morning” Kagome answered.

“Bye” Everyone parted.

“That was lame” Inuyasha said.

“That's our way of fun, It was nice to get out with them” Kagome said.

“Do you want us to go back tonight?” He asked.

“Of course not, I was hoping, maybe we'd sleep together, I didn't sleep much last night” Kagome confessed.

“Why not?” Sess asked.

“I wasn't use to being in a bed alone” She said.

“Your bed is pretty small” Yasha said.

“Yeah it is, but we can fit” She laughed at the idea.

“Momma, we're back” She yelled.

“I just got Kashia to bed” Mrs. H whispered.

“Oh sorry” She whispered back.

“How was the movie?” Mrs. H asked.

“Fine, we're just going to go to bed” She whispered. She took the boys upstairs.

“Strip down to your underwear” She ordered.

She just wore a tank top and panties to bed.

“Sess you get in first” She said. So Sess was against the wall. Then she got in and then Inuyasha got in.

“It's a tight fit” Inuyasha complained.

“Why are you complaining? I'm between you guys” She huffed.

“The wall is less than comfortable” Sess said.

“Being between 2 muscular huge guys isn't making it any easier” Kagome whined.

The boys attempted to make room for her. “It's alright, at least we're all together” She smiled as she drifted off to sleep.
