Review:
Miroku cleared his throat. “I told Hakkaku and Ginta that we would give them the body of Kouga.” He whispered as to not upset Rin. Inuyasha and Sesshoumaru nodded.
“That is acceptable.” Sesshoumaru glanced over at Inuyasha. “Would you go back and get ‘it’ ready?”
“Keh.” He nodded as he continued eating. Kagome just rolled her eyes as she ate in silence. She could still see Kouga’s eyes everything she closed hers. Shivering she felt Sesshoumaru's moko-moko curl around her.
“We shall leave in the morning to finish the hunt for the jewels.” He said as he leaned his head back and closed his eyes. He had finished his soup and just wanted to relax a little. Having Kagome near was a blessing. Her powers flowed over his skin like a mothers embrace.

>Naraku<
Naraku grinned as he watched the group in Kanna’s mirror. He was beyond happy that the wolf was out of the way however he now had to deal with Lord Sesshoumaru. Grinning he thought of a plan to break the three new mates apart.
“Kanna bring me, Kae.”
Kanna nodded and went to fetch the shape shifter named Kae. Naraku tried to fight a smile that was threatening but it won out as an evil grin crossed his face as his eyes glowed with ill intent. He would not only make Inuyasha pay but also the miko, Kagome, and Lord Sesshoumaru.
Naraku was interrupted when Kanna entered with a young girl next to her. The girl looked no older than 10 but Naraku knew better. Naraku smiled as he moved over to the girl. He waved which Kanna took as it was her time to leave. She slipped out the door quietly and headed to her sisters room. Leaving Naraku with Kae.
“Its lovely to meet you, my dear.” Naraku took the girls hand and kissed the back of it.
Kae smiled. “Why Naraku if I didn’t know any better I would say that you were trying to butter me up for something?” She gave him a sicken sweet smile that promised death if he didn’t let go of her hand.
Naraku took the hint and released her hand. “Well as a matter of fact I have something for you to do for me.” He turned and went to the low table that was set up on the other side of the room.
Kae followed but at a distance. “And what would that be?” She gave him a raised brow in question.
“I would like you to break up a mating bond between three different people.” Naraku handed Kae a cup of tea that was sitting on the table. Kae took it and discretely sniffed the contents before she took a sip.
“Who are my targets?” Her eyes gleamed with happiness. “it been quite some time since you needed my help. I do believe it was when the miko, Kikyo, had your heart.”
Naraku snarled. “Do not mention her name.” His eyes flashed red in anger. “No the three I want you to go after is the hanyou Inuyasha, the reincarnation of Kikyo who is named Kagome and the lord of the west.” Naraku offered.
“Details please I need something to base this betrayal on.” She sighed as she put her cup down. “Is there any bad blood between either of the males or between one of the males and the female?”
Naraku grinned. “Yes there is. Lord Sesshoumaru happens to be full demon and is the eldest brother of Inuyasha the half breed. I do not think they have put their difference aside that quickly.” He leaned forward with his elbows on the table and his chin resting on his folded hands.
Kae nodded. “It should be a piece of cake. Is there anything else I should know?” She knew that this vile creature was hidden something from her again.
Naraku shook his head. “I would just like it if Kagome was left alone with out anyone around.” His smile returned. “I will take it from there.”
Kae nodded. “Fine I should be back in a day in a half. Is that fine?” Naraku nodded.
“That is perfect. I also need to put some pieces in to place.” Naraku stood along with Kae. “I shall have Kanna walk you out.” Clapping his hands he called for Kanna.
Kanna entered with in a minute. “Yes, Master Naraku?” Her voice was even and with out emotions.
“Take Kae to the entrance that way she wont have any trouble.”
Kanna nodded as she turned towards Kae. “This way please.” Kanna turned and lead the shape shifter down the hall and out into the court yard. Kae wasted no time in her departure. Kanna sighed as she watched the girl go. She longed to be able to get away for even a moment.
>Kagome and the Others<
The morning started out fair. The sun was shining with only a few clouds. A breeze was blowing to keep the group cool as they traveled to the south. Miroku had heard of a rumor of a dense substance floating in the air. Kagome felt something in the direction as well. She had agreed with Miroku. Sesshoumaru was walking on one side of her while Inuyasha was on the other.
Rin and Shippou were running ahead of the group as they traveled down the road. It was about mid day and there had been not demon attacks. The demons must have decided that with Sesshoumaru there it would be to risky. Kagome on the other hand had felt as though something was going to right. She knew that once things were going good something always came along to mess it up. Kagome was brought back to the present when she heard Inuyasha ask her if she was ok. She smiled and nodded.
“I’m fine Inu.” Kagome patted his arm. “Just a little worried.”
Sesshoumaru and Inuyasha both frowned. “What do you mean, mate?” Sesshoumaru stopped and stood in front of Kagome.
Kagome sighed. “Its just that when things are going good Naraku always comes up with something to mess it up.” She shook her head. “Maybe I am just imagining things.”
Both Inu’s shared a glance. “Oi don’t worry about it.” Inuyasha wrapped his arms around her from behind. “You have Sesshoumaru and me to keep you safe.”
Sesshoumaru nodded as he bent down to kiss her on the forehead. “Inuyasha is correct love.” He agreed with Inuyasha. “You are perfectly safe.”
Kagome sighed and nodded. “Come on lets hurry up.” She moved out of both of their embraces but took each one of their hands and pulled them along. Inuyasha had a grin in place as well as Sesshoumaru. They both loved how their mate changed moods like the wind. Nothing ever kept her down long.

Naraku smiled as he watched Kagome stop. He knew she would be able to feel that something was wrong however he also knew that she would never figure out what he had come up with.
“That is all for now Kanna.” He waved the pasty girl away.
Kanna nodded as she turned and left. Naraku stood from his chair and went to the window. It was truly sad that the half breed had killed the clay witch’s creation however he did not desire Kikyo any longer. It was Kagome that intrigued him now.
“Soon my dear you will be in my grasp and bend to my will.” Naraku laughed as he sent his poisonous insects to keep an eye on the wayward group. He needed them to be in the right spot for his plan to work. With that he turned away from the window and headed to bed.
“It’s empty now but soon sweet little Kagome will be lying here.” A evil grin spread across his face.
>Kae<
Kae stopped as soon as she was at the place she needed to be. It was a spring that flowed from the side of the mountain and it was secluded. A grin spread across her face. She had left natural looking markers to the spring along a carefully cut path. She had almost everything in place for her targets to show.
Kagura had told her that Naraku was just playing her so she decided to prove to that damn evil half breed that she too could play this game. Unlike what Naraku had planned for the sweet little miko, Kae had decided that if the miko Kagome was the only one who could purify the jewel then she needed to be taken out of the equation.
Permanently.
All Kae had to do was pour her potion in the hot spring and place a barrier around it that only the miko can pass through. Kae smiled to herself. If Naraku thought he could manipulate her then he had another thing coming. She was surprised when Kagura asked her to retrieve her heart as well as her sisters soul if she was able to defeat Naraku. Kae had agreed because unlike the vile hanyou known as Naraku she did not treat people the way he did.
She would take Kagura and Kanna under her ‘wings’ and teach them about anything they needed to know. However she had not told the wind witch this as of yet. Kae knew that Naraku still held Kagura’s heart and could force any information out of her if he wished. Kae poured the potion into the springs and made sure the barrier was in place before she left to report back to Naraku, that her part was finished.
>Kagome and the others<
Kagome groaned as she felt a bead of sweat trickle down her back. She looked at her mates and wondered if they would be able to find a spring near by. Sesshoumaru and Inuyasha must of known that she was staring at them cause they turned and looked at her.
“Let me guess you want to bathe?” Inuyasha rose a brow in question.
Kagome gave him a sweet smile. “It would be nice.” She batted her eyes at him.
Inuyasha snorted. “There’s a spring not to far from here. Lets find a place to camp. That ok with you?” He looked at his brother. Sesshoumaru nodded.
“This one shall hunt.” He turned and headed into the forest.
“Alright I think there’s a clearing not to far from here.” Inuyasha turned and headed in the direction of the clearing the others followed after him.
Unknown to any of them that they were heading directly into Naraku’s trap.
