The moment he dropped Tetsusaiga, his eyes turned crimson and my face now adorned

purple stripes. He ran towards Kouga, claws ready to kill.

 

"Shit man, your scent changed, wait you're not a full youkai!"

 

Just then Inuyasha's claws met Kouga's chest and sent Kouga flying.

 

Kouga went running but stopped to yell, "I'm not running, I'll be back to claim what's mine!"

 

Inuyasha dropped to his knees and Kagome ran to him. She grabbed Tetsusaiga as she went. She forced it into her hands and he grabbed it and slowly his eyes returned to their amber hue and the purple streak disappeared. She grabbed on to him and held him close and he held her back, she began to cry.

 

She began placing small kisses on his chin, and saying his name over and over, through her tears, slowly bringing Inuyasha back to earth.

 

"What are ya cryin' for?" He said in a more gentle way than Kagome was used to hearing and it made her sob even harder.

 

"I'm just so happy," Kagome said as she wailed into his haori.

 

"Happy? You're happy, I turn into a mindless killing machine, and could hurt you, or worse, and you're HAPPY?!" Man she could be weird sometimes!

 

"Yes, I'm so happy you're okay, and well about, um...never mind" She said a little worried, thinking he wouldn't remember his admission since it had been so close to when he transformed.

 

"What.…?” Oh yeah the whole pup thing, It's true I mean, but should I tell her? She won't reject me, she never has, and she's already admitted her feelings towards me. Plus during that battle it seemed like she understood I had a claim on her.

 

His inner youkai was screaming to take her, she was willing, he had a claim on her, plus she had let him fight Kouga without getting involved. But how could he do that when his human heart still belongs to Kikyo? It was then that he realized, his human heart no longer desired Kikyo, she was of the past, a distant memory of a first love. His human heart also belonged to Kagome. That was it, he had to tell her, but how?

 

“Oh, well ya know what I said was true, I...I well....I want you to have my pups,

Kagome, I well, I like you a lot and maybe even love you." He had had his head down as he said it and then looked up into her chocolate eyes to see her reaction. A part of him half expected this to all be a joke and for her to run away terrified at the thought of marrying a half breed such as himself. Her reaction surprised him just a little bit.

 

Kagome reached up, pulled his face up and stared into his eyes, she leaned in slowly and placed a small kiss on his lips, then backed away. He then leaned back in and kissed her, this time taking full advantage of her surprise and slipping his tongue in her mouth. He dominated and she let him express all of the emotions that he couldn't say before finally breaking the kiss and gasping for air.

 

"I love you too, Inuyasha," she said as a few tears ran down her cheek.

 

"Kagome, would you be mad at me if I asked you to me my mate?" He said as he looked down, the dirt all of a sudden very interesting. She had said she loved him and they had

kissed but, would she agree to this?

 

"Of course not” she said a shy voice. “I've well, always kinda dreamed about being with you, that's why I said I'd never leave you, because I could never see myself with out you being next to me, being jealous of every guy that looked at me and protecting me from both your world and mine. I just always thought it was better if I didn't tell you because, well I thought you'd rather be with well, Kikyo. She always seemed let the better choice.

 

"I mean you're always running off to her and leaving me to deal with it. I always thought that was because she was more important to you than I am, and well, because, you loved her more than you could ever love me." She said in a small voice wondering why she was admitting this to him.

 

`How do you respond to that?' Inuyasha thought to himself, "Kagome, yes it's true I LOVED Kikyo, but she's dead, I mean I feel like I need to protect her, because she died for me and I don't think she should be abandoned to Naraku, but like I said she's dead, she may have a body and be walking around the earth, but she isn't the woman I fell in love with.

 

"She always wanted me to change, she could never live with me as her husband if I was a hanyou. But, you don't want me to change, you love me like I am, you love me as a hanyou and even though I'm mean, rude, arrogant, and really treat you and everyone else like crap you still love me, you're so kind, and good hearted, NOTHING like her you love people, really love them, deep down, just like you love me and care about everyone's health and happiness, even mine. Kagome, you may be her reincarnation, but you're nothing like her, you're so much better. That's why I want you to be my mate, not her."

 

"Oh Inuyasha, of course I'll be your mate." She said with fresh tears forming in her eyes.

 

He leaned down and kissed her, it wasn't their first kiss, but it was special and alluded to much more. Inuyasha picked Kagome up, as they had been sitting on the ground and carried her into the den and slowly laid her on Kouga's bed.

 

Kagome kissed her intended once more and allowed him to dominate once more. As he slowly placed himself on top of Kagome. They would become mates that day.

 

He leaned in and placed a small kiss on her forehead, and continued down, covering her face with kisses before his mouth met hers again.

 

Once he reached her mouth he began to move his hands from her waist up to the underside of her breasts, causing her to gasp. He slowly moved his mouth down her neck and sucked gently on her pulse point. He moved to take her shirt off. She sat up and lifted it and her bra off, knowing he wouldn't know how to work the clasp.

 

He leaned down and kissed the newly exposed flesh. He started sucking gently on her left breast while his right hand was massaging her right breast and his left hand was moving down her leg.

 

She reached up and put her hand in his haori and moved to untie it. He sat up and took it off along with his undershirt. He then untied his pants and let them drop. Kagome just stared, the reality of the situation setting in.

 

Inuyasha stared back and asked, “are you sure you want to do this? We can wait if you want.” `Please say it's ok.'

 

“No Inuyasha, it's ok it's just that I've never done this before and I'm kinda nervous but I want this.”

 

“Thank kami” Inuyasha mumbled.

 

Kagome smirked at him.

 

He walked back over to her and moved to take off her skirt and underwear. She lifted her hips and allowed him to remove the clothing.

 

Now that they were both naked Inuyasha leaned over her and kissed down her stomach and she ran her hands over his bare chest needing to feel him, that he was really there and real.

 

He finally reached his destination and used his nose to open her folds. Kagome moaned. Inuyasha looked to see her eyes closed and her biting her lip to keep from making noise.

 

He smirked, this was going to be fun.

 

He slowly and gently used his fingers to open her to him and licked her clit. She nearly screamed. He then proceeded to lick and suck gently at her jewel and moved down to her opening. He pressed his tongue lightly at her entrance, teasing her and tasting her.

 

He then thrust his tongue into her as far as it could go. She was getting ready to cum and he knew it, so he stood up and positioned himself at her entrance. He looked into her eyes, silently asking for permission. She nodded her head and he pushed in slowly.

 

Finally he reached her barrier and took her virginity.

"I think Kouga will be needin' a new bed," Inuyasha said as he smirked at Kagome.

 

"Yeah, I think so," she said, smirking back at him.

 

"Kagome, there's something I should have told you before we um…well you know.” He had to tell her she had to decide if she wanted this, for real.

 

“Of course, what is it?” was it serious?

 

“Well um I know you don't know a lot about the mating process, but well you see inu-youkai mate for life.”

 

“What do you mean?” Sango had told her what it meant but this was fun, besides there were something's she didn't know.

 

“Well, you see after a Inu-youkai ruts a woman, they have 48 hours to decide whether or not they what to be together. And if they decide they do then they have ceremony, performed by a houshi and a miko to bind their souls. If they don't then they can never see each other again.”

 

"Yeah well you`re lucky I wanna be with you or you'd lose a shard hunter!" She said happily. She paused and continued "You'll need to start on a hut when we get back to the village."

 

He smirked. "Yeah, I guess so. Kagome do you think Keade and Miroku will do the ceremony?"

 

"Of course, who else would we have do it?" She asked.

 

"Well, I your right. But you do know about the marks right?”

 

"What kind of mark?"

 

"Well, I bite your neck and you bite mine, but if your teeth aren't strong enough you can use my claws, and then we lick the blood at the same time until it stops bleeding, it tells youkai that we're both taken, and it binds our souls together," he explained.

 

"Binds our souls?"

 

"Yeah, it keeps you alive until I die, you'll have the life-span of a hanyou, you'll live 'til my life span ends. And if ya want we can have a wedding in your time, so your family can be there, but the marking ceremony has to be done at least 48 hours after we um.." He blushed and looked down,

 

"Ok, I mean I wish Mama, Souta, and Ji-chan could be there, but we can have a wedding there soon too, come on lets go," and he leaned down so she could get on his back to go back to the village.

"Kaede-baba, we need to ask a favor of you," Inuyasha said in a more respectful tone than normal. One that kept getting more respectful as he felt the glare of Kagome's eyes on his back.

 

She wouldn't sit him though, because she was still on his back, although that meant nothing once she got down.

 

"Yes, Inuyasha, what can I do to help ye?"

 

"Well, we need you to perform a mating ceremony." He spoke to the ground. His hands

VERY high up on Kagome's thighs. So, she whispered in his ears "Not 'til after the ceremony" and he groaned.

 

"Aa, I see." She said with a sign of amusement in her eyes.
