Zonza : Hi there!! Glad you like my fic, and I hope you keep reading and reviewing!! Oo, thanks for telling me about the spicy food deal, that gives me a GREAT idea! Cute story by the way, I'd heard that spicy food helps with pregnancy, but I thought of it as merely a rumor until you told that. ^_^ Well, hope you enjoy, and thanks again!
MItikal Dragon : Aww, thanks a bunch!! Glad you like it so much, and I hope you keep reading and reviewing! ^_^
RedHerring : =D I know, I know, it's not 100% how it should be. Let's just say that he can detect that his 'little guys' haven't made it, even right after. lol I don't know. But as a friend of mine pointed out to me, other fics have done the same thing with the question/assumption of pregnancy right after. True, it's not accurate, but meh. lol Thanks for bringing it up though. ^_^ Hope you keep reading and reviewing.
Inubunny : hehe Glad you're enjoying, hope you keep reading and reviewing!! ^_^
DeathChildInuLover666 : hehe Thanks! Kagome is just an innocent little human. Death would seem that horrible to anyone like her. And to her, Sango has a reason for killing - her brother. But if Inu Yasha has no reason, than it's DEFINITELY not okay to her. But of course she'll understand eventually. lol Otherwise, they'd never do the naughty! lol Well have fun with your fic. ^_^
Mandz* : =D Glad you liked it, thanks for reading and reviewing! And thanks for the praise and encouragement, it's definitely needed. Life is a tab hectic as of now, what with the new job, the volunteer work at my Church, school things, and basic everyday crazyness. But never fear, the updates will always come. ^_^

Kagome slowly walked to the park not to far from her home. She looked around for Inu Yasha but, knowing that she was early, didn't expect to see him. She walked over to the playground and sat down on one of the swings. She moved back and forth gently, keeping her feet on the ground. She rested her head against her hand that was holding onto one of the chains connected to the swing and closed her eyes. After she had gotten off the phone with Inu Yasha the previous night, she walked into her room to prepare for the night, but her phone rang a few minutes later. It was her boss, calling her to tell her that the didn't need her till noon the next day. Disturbed, she said okay and hung up. She had been working there for a while, and never had Jinenji told her two days in a row to come in later. She hoped that it wouldn't continue, or she wasn't going to have a very large paycheck. So, being told that her next morning was free for a few hours, she bit the bullet and called Inu Yasha back to tell him that they could meet then. He didn't seem all that surprised that she was free. However, Kagome thought nothing of it and went to bed.
As Kagome sat on the swing in her own world, she didn't hear someone coming up behind her. She had no idea that anyone else was around her until that certain someone enveloped her hand with their own. Kagome suddenly sat up straight in shock at being touched, so the person behind her covered her other hand with theirs as well. She quickly turned around, but calmed down when she saw it was Inu Yasha. He gave her a smile before pulling the swing back and then pushing it forward gently. Kagome turned away as a very tiny smile graced her lips. They stayed in silence for a few minutes while he pushed her on the swing. Finally, Inu Yasha slowed the swing gently and stepped close. Close enough, in fact, that her back was resting against him. She tilted her head back and looked up at him and he smiled down at her. He stepped away from her and sat on the swing next to her own.
"Hi." He said.
Kagome grinned at him. "Hi."
The two of them sat in silence for a bit longer before he finally cleared his throat and said, "So Sango told you about Kohaku?"
Kagome nodded and kicked at the dirt beneath her a little. "She does what she does to protect the only family she has left."
"And you don't know why I do what I do." He stated. Kagome bit her lip and nodded. Inu Yasha took a deep breath and blew it out through his lips slowly. He turned to her and said, "Just because I'm telling you about me, this doesn't count as a second date." Kagome laughed and he continued. "My reason isn't going to make you any happier, Kagome. I do what I do, for me. It's not easy for a demon or half demon to find work. Not many places want to hire those different from themselves, and so it's easiest for our kind to stick together. Granted, I could have gotten a different job and still worked for my brother, but there was another reason I took this particular job. Money." Kagome watched him with an expressionless face. "I get a paycheck just like Sango and Miroku for doing what I do. Only difference is, when I am forced to kill for one reason or another, Sesshomaru pays me extra. It's pathetic, I know. But I've seen what it's like on the other side, Kagome." She gave him a confused look and he said, "You know, the poor side. I know what it's like to have no money. And I don't mean no money on you, or very little money. I mean nothing. Your only clothes are the ones your wearing, you honestly have no idea when the next time you can get a decent meal is, and the best place you can find a place to sleep is a tree. And let me tell you, waking up with bark stuck to your ass sure as hell isn't fun." He shrugged. "So, when I finally realized that I didn't want to spend the rest of my life living like crap, I did the only thing I could think of. I called my brother." Distaste was evident in this final statement.
"You two don't get along?" She asked.
He shook his head. "Never have, really. We used to fight all the time growing up. But then when our father died, Sesshomaru took over all the money."
"I'm sorry." Kagome said quietly.
Inu Yasha waved the apology aside. "Whatever, it happened a long time ago."
"Didn't your father leave you anything in his will?"
Inu Yasha scoffed. "Demons don't have wills. When they die, everything goes to their remaining family members. But, both Sesshomaru's mother and my own died when we were really young, and so it was just us. So he took over, and I took off. I didn't want to be stuck with him, so I figured I'd try making it on my own." Kagome nodded slowly, digesting everything he was telling her. "We've gotten along somewhat better ever since I started working for him. Or rather, we don't try to kill each other whenever we see each other." Kagome looked startled and he said quickly, "We'd never actually kill each other, Kagome! Demons don't normally turn on their own family. We may not like each other, and we may fight, but killing each other won't actually happen."
Kagome sighed in relief slightly. "I- I knew that."
He chuckled. "Sure you did." He stood up and said, "Let's walk."
Kagome stood up as well and they began taking a walk along a path in the park. She had her arms crossed firmly in front of her, so Inu Yasha stuffed his hands in his pockets. He glanced sideways at her and said, "I'm not a bad person, Kagome."
She blushed slightly. "I know that." Meeting his gaze she said, "But I'm still getting used to everything. Demons... murder... stuff..." She had almost said 'casual sex', because her mind wandered back to what Sango said to her before they parted the prior day, but luckily she stopped herself. Kagome, who was still looking at Inu Yasha, didn't have a chance to see a tree root sticking out of the ground, and suddenly tripped over it. She began falling, flailing her arms, but Inu Yasha suddenly caught her. She gasped as he hoisted her to her feet, still not releasing her.
He smirked down at her. "I know I'm sexy Kagome, but no need to fall all over me in public."
Kagome blushed and tried pulling away in embarrassment, but Inu Yasha only chuckled and wrapped an arm around her waist. They continued their walk, her still in his arms. This is nice... They both were thinking.

Sango sighed for the umpteenth time and rubbed her eyes as she held the phone to her ear. "Kohaku, I'm not going to say this again. You aren't leaving boarding school to come back home with me! Just forget it, okay?"
He grumbled. "Why not?"
"Because you'll be home for the summer, and you can play with the cat then. Alright?"
He sighed. "Whatever. So when do you get here?"
"Next week." She replied.
"Going to get a hotel like last time?"
"Yeah, probably the same one, since it's close." She stood up and walked into her kitchen. Hesitating, she said, "Someone else is coming too."
Immediately Kohaku perked up. "Who?"
"A co-worker. His grandfather lives around there, so we decided to travel together." She rolled her eyes to herself.
Kohaku grinned. "Is it your boyfriend?"
Sango's jaw dropped. "Of course not, Kohaku! I don't have a boyfriend, and if I did I certainly wouldn't choose this guy."
"So who is it?" Kohaku asked.
"Miroku. I think you met him once."
He thought for a second. "The guy with the short pony-tail, or the really angry guy with the long silver hair?"
Sango laughed. "The guy with the pony-tail. The other one is Inu Yasha."
"Oh yeah." He crossed his legs under him. "Why don't you get a boyfriend?"
She sputtered. "I- I have more important things to take care of!"
"Like what?"
"You!" She stated.
He rolled his eyes. "Sango, I'm away at school for more than half the year. You don't have to take care of me."
She sighed. "Look, can't you at least pretend that I'm useful to you?"
He laughed. "Sorry sis. But seriously, you should get a boyfriend. You're getting old."
Sango laughed out loud. "You rude child! I'm only a few years older than you!"
He grinned and rubbed his chin. "I know that. and I'm practically a man! I've almost got a beard."
She rolled her eyes, smiling. "Oh please." Glancing at the clock she said, "Well, I should head to bed. 'Night, Kohaku."
"'Night."
They hung up and she walked back into her bedroom, a glass of water in her hands.

Kagome opened her apartment door and walked in. She shut and locked it behind her. Walking into the kitchen she grabbed a large spoon from a drawer and walked over to the fridge. She opened the freezer, opened the large container of ice cream, and took a large scoop with the spoon. She shut the ice cream and the freezer door, and walked into her bedroom. Pacing in front of her bed, she thought and ate. I can't believe I agreed to go out with him again! I know that he's not a bad person but... She sighed as she licked the vanilla ice cream. Can I trust him? Can I trust someone that... kills? Can I... like someone that kills? She immediately tried to squash that idea. Like him? Why would I? He doesn't like me, he's only helping me so he doesn't have to KILL me! Even as she thought that, she doubted it. But it doesn't seem like he's just trying to help me, could he... could he actually, like me? She groaned as she felt a headache coming on. Rubbing her left temple, she walked back into the kitchen and instead of taking another scoop of ice cream on the spoon, she took out the entire container.
"This is going to be a looong night." She mumbled to herself.

When Inu Yasha arrived at his home, he saw another car present. Recognizing it as Miroku's he sighed and got out of his car. He grumbled to himself when he found the door unlocked, and walked inside. He sniffed out Miroku and found him in the den, helping himself to beer and Inu Yasha's enormous television. Inu Yasha plopped down on the couch next to him. "Hey."
"Hey." Miroku replied. He took another sip of beer before saying, "Me and Sango will be leaving next week."
Inu Yasha glanced at him. "Are you two...?"
"Dating? Together? No." Miroku sighed. "She's visiting her brother, I'm visiting some distant family member I met once when I was 5, and we'll be gone for 2 weeks."
Inu Yasha raised an eyebrow. "How did you get Sesshomaru to give you two 2 week off?"
Miroku took another sip of beer. "I made a deal with him. If I could finalize the agreement with the demons of the East, then Sango and I would get the 2 weeks off." He grinned. "It wasn't easy, but I did it."
Inu Yasha nodded. "Well, then I hope you two have a good time." He grinned. "I hope she doesn't kill you."
Miroku laughed. "Me too." He finished off his beer and said, "Because I think I'm in love with her."
Inu Yasha blanched. "What? Where the hell did that come from? I thought you just liked her!"
Miroku looked miserable. "So did I. But I did some thinking, and I really think that I love her."
Inu Yasha said nothing for a moment. He finally looked over at Miroku and said, "Well... congrats."
Miroku gave a weak smile. "Yeah."
