I am mad to say that I do not own Inuyasha and gang. (Sigh) I so wanted to do evil things to them in the series… but no.. the great Rumiko Takahashi owns them. You think a hundred dollars would let me get Inuyasha for my birthday. (sigh) I forgot my birthday's already passed. Oh well, here's your story…
Author's Note: Sorry guys I forgot about the story and I left it off at a bad part. I'm gonna finish it no matter what. Three months of not typing anything for this story, I'm so mad at myself so here it is…

Chapter 5 * School & The Big Fight*

Recap:
“Well, I'll see you tomorrow, Inuyasha.” Kagome said one last goodbye for tonight.
Inuyasha leaned over to Kagome's side of the car and gave her one last kiss.
“See ya.” Inuyasha smiled.

“Kagome wake up! You don't want to be late for school now do you?” Kagome's mom yelled up to her.

Kagome stirred from her bed. She could still smell Inuyasha's cologne on her bed sheets. She heard somebody scream for her. `Oh Shit, why didn't my alarm clock go off. I'm gonna be late.' Kagome hurried out of bed and scrambled over to her bathroom and brushed her teeth and took the brush to her hair. Kagome pulled random clothes for school. She got in her car and drove to school hoping that she would get there before the bell rang. When she pulled into her spot, she saw Inuyasha getting out of his mustang.

“Morning sexy.” Inuyasha walked over to Kagome. He hands bearing nothing for school. Kagome pulled up the seat and grabbed her books and binders. She slammed her door and walked over to Inuyasha.

“Why must you call me that?” Kagome always hated being called pet names. She didn't understand them. She started to pick up speed and tried to get away from Inuyasha. She didn't succeed in that either.

“Why not? You know, why do even wear that? It's not like we're in a private school. You can wear whatever you want.” Inuyasha smirked he always like having the last word.

“You know what, maybe I'm wearing this because I didn't have anything else to wear, everything is in the wash.” Kagome retorted, she was getting fed up with Inuyasha and it wasn't even first block.

“Geez, what crawled up your ass and died?” Inuyasha always had a thing where he spoke his mind. Inuyasha cut off Kagome from the building. “What's wrong with you?” He asked her.

“Inuyasha, please don't start right now. I don't want to be late for class.” Kagome was about to beg Inuyasha not to start with the Kouga crap. She tried to get around Inuyasha but he grabbed her hand with all of her books and the books fell on the concrete.

“Shit, thanks a lot Inuyasha. Now I'm definitely gonna be late to class.” Kagome bent down to pick up her books and reached for a book, she was about to reach it when Inuyasha pulled her over to the side.

“Why did you pull me over here?” Kagome asked.

“Well. You're hand was about to be stepped on by the imbecile named Kouga. I thought I would be considerate and save you.” Inuyasha got on his feet and helped Kagome up. When they finished picking up Kagome's books they made their way to their first block. Kagome plopped down in her seat and tried to focus on what the teacher was telling them but found that she couldn't because a certain person was poking her in the back. She turned around and made a sign to try to make Inuyasha stop poking her, but when she turned back around he went back to poking her.
“Inuyasha quit poking me.” Kagome whispered to him.

“Why, it's so much fun to annoy you.” Inuyasha leaned back in his chair and actually stopped poking her, when she glanced behind her she saw that he was writing a note to somebody. She turned back around and tried to pay attention to the teacher about the lesson at hand. When she looked down at her desk, there was a piece of paper with her name written on it. She opened it and on the note it said, Do you want to go to my place this time to work on the project.
Kagome looked at the paper as if it held a secret message in it. She made a decision a finally wrote down her answer. She tossed behind her waiting if he was going to write something else. Again she looked down at her desk and there was the piece of paper, she wondered how he got the paper to her so quickly without her noticing.

At the end of the block they made their way towards their next class together. Kagome slumped into her desk and put her head on her hands. She was very close to falling asleep when somebody nudged her. Inuyasha was grinning down at her.

“Wake up sleepy head. I would've thought you got enough sleep last night, I certainly did.” Inuyasha smirked as though he was realizing what they did. “It was fun last night. This time you'll see my family in action.”

“What do you mean this time?” Kagome puzzled over what he just said.

“My god, don't tell me you already forgot about our plans.” Inuyasha smirked again thinking that he sounded like a girl in a relationship.

“Oh yeah, sorry. I'm just really tired. My alarm clock didn't go off this morning.” Kagome glanced up at Inuyasha and behind him she saw Kikyo walk into the room.

“Oh look, this is when my day goes from worse to terrible.” Inuyasha looked up when Kagome said that comment. He plopped down in his seat as Kikyo walked past him to get to her assigned seat.

“Hey handsome. What's shakin?” Kikyo cooed at him. Kagome nearly puked at her sister's pity attempt to get Inuyasha's attention.

“Nothing much Kikyo. Sorry you seem to be in my light do you mind?” Inuyasha tried his best not to smile at her. Luckily Kikyo walked by him giving Kagome an evil glare. Inuyasha looked over at Kagome who was trying to go back to sleep, when Sango and Miroku walked into the room. Sango eyed her friend curious why she didn't get enough sleep the night before.

“Kagome what's wrong?” Sango tried to ask Kagome, but Kagome was already in a deep sleep for Inuyasha could see her with a small smile on her face.

“You won't get an answer from her, she's done for the rest of the day.” Inuyasha answered for the sleeping girl.
When it was lunch time Kagome was starved. She didn't eat anything for breakfast, so she felt like she could have eaten a horse.

“Why don't you eat with us today Inuyasha, I bet your posse could live without you for today.” Miroku asked Inuyasha.

“Sure why not? Is it okay with Kagome if I join?” Inuyasha asked because he could never be certain with Miroku. Miroku was considered the class pervert. He hit on anything that had boobs.
“Yeah, Kagome was the one who practically insisted you come to eat with us.”

“Oh really then wouldn't Kagome be over here asking me?” Inuyasha grinned knowingly that Miroku was gonna set them up. Inuyasha wasn't so sure that he wanted to get mixed up with Kagome's feelings toward Jocks , knowing that Kouga did something that would come back to haunt him.

“You know how she feels about jocks now, don't you? Kagome doesn't want to be more than 3 feet near that arrogant prick.” Miroku looked at Inuyasha knowing that he won this time.

“Fine, I'll be over there in a few minutes I have to finish something with Kouga anyway. I want to talk to him about something.” Inuyasha was just waiting for lunch to roll around so he could beat some sense into Kouga's brain.

Inuyasha walked over to where Kouga was and tapped his shoulder. They went to a side of the cafeteria and soon a minute after, a fight broke out. Inuyasha was punching Kouga's stomach and Kouga was responding with a punch to Inuyasha's face. Kagome walked into the cafeteria at that moment and knew what had caused a fight to occur between Inuyasha and Kouga. She hurried her way over to them and tried to separate them but ended up with a black eye from Kouga. Inuyasha finally looked over to where he could sense another person had joined them. When he did, he saw Kagome trying to separate them. Inuyasha backed away from Kouga and made his way over to Kagome. He saw the blood first. He nearly went into hysterics. He grabbed Kagome quickly and made his way towards the school nurse.

“Okay, Inuyasha what seems to be the problem here? Why does Kagome have a black eye and a cut on her lip?” The school nurse asked him.

“Umm. Well, Kagome was trying to break up the fight. I was trying to get to Kouga.” Inuyasha didn't like it at all that Kagome was badly injured because of his stupid temper. He would not forgive himself for what he caused to happen to her.

“Well if you wouldn't mind, you do where Kagome lives don't you? Didn't you used to go out her twin, what was her name….. Kikyo?” The nurse asked him again.

“Yeah, she broke up with me. Do you need me to take her home?” Inuyasha asked.

“Yeah, I'll just tell the principal to sign this paper and then you can take her home.” The nurse picked up the phone and spoke to the principal. The next thing he knew he was headed outside for his car. He placed Kagome in the passenger side. She passed out after the first ten minutes at the nurse's office. Inuyasha got behind the wheel and drove off to Kagome's house.

Inuyasha got Kagome out of her seat and carried her up the shrine steps and made his way up to her room and placed her on the bed and sat at the foot of the bed waiting for her to wake up.

Kagome stirred to the sound a growl emitting from Inuyasha. Kagome blinked open her eyes or at least tried. One eye opened all the way while the other was swelled so she couldn't see that well.

“Inuyasha?” Kagome questioned if he was sitting beside him.

“Kagome, you need to go back to sleep. Do you want me to go get you some ice for your eye?” Inuyasha walked over to her and gently placed his hand on her head and tried to put her hair behind her ear. Inuyasha sat beside Kagome for a little bit longer than he wanted. He silently got back up as Kagome drifted back to sleep and made his way to her kitchen and got a baggie and put some ice in it for her eye. When he started for her room, the front door opened and Kagome's mom walked in.

“Inuyasha, what are you doing here? Aren't you supposed to be in school?” Kagome's mom asked him suspiciously wondering why he was in her house.

“Well, I was fighting with Kouga and Kagome tried to separate us and ended up with a black eye and a cut on her lip, so the school nurse asked me to bring her home. I was going to go up there and give her this.” Inuyasha told Kagome's mom what happened. Kagome's mom dashed beside him up to her daughter's room.

“My god, Kagome.” Kagome's mom placed her hand gently on Kagome's cheek, looking at the marks left from the fight. She grabbed the ice out of Inuyasha's hand and placed it on Kagome's eye. Kagome stirred from the coldness that suddenly came over her. She opened her left eye and saw her mother and Inuyasha looking down at her.

“Mom I'm alright. Have Kikyo and Sota come home yet?” Kagome asked towards the worried mother and at Inuyasha.

“No, sweetie. Why don't you go back to bed. I'm going to make dinner. Inuyasha are you staying for dinner tonight?” Kagome's mom looked up at him with questioning eyes.

“No, I'm sorry. I can't I promised my dad I would be home for dinner.” Inuyasha said looking back down at Kagome.

“Mom, can you leave us for a minute. I want to talk to Inuyasha.” Kagome stated to her mother. She was glad to feel that the warmth from her mom was gone and replaced with Inuyasha's masculinity.

“What were you fighting about when I walked in?” Kagome asked Inuyasha.

“Kouga made a stupid ass comment about how you were easy to the group and I got pissed and I started beating the shit out of him that is until you came. I'm sorry you got hurt. I didn't want you to get hurt. I'm sorry.” Inuyasha tried to explain, but Kagome put up her hand as to comfort him that he didn't have to say anything.

“Kagome, I'm really sorry.” Kagome was getting fed up with the `I'm sorry's' she then leaned up to silence him with a quick contact of her lips with his.

Inuyasha actually had different plans. He grabbed her shoulders and placed her down on the bed. He lied down beside her and wrapped his arms around her. In that position they fell asleep.

When the school let out the seniors. Kikyo walked to her car and saw that Kagome's car was still in the lot yet she didn't see her during fourth block. She drove home to see Inuyasha's car in the driveway. She walked up the stairs and was about to go into her room when she got a better idea and glimpsed inside of Kagome's room. What she saw made her scowl. `Inuyasha never held me like that.' Kikyo didn't like this at all. `It's time I came up with a plan.' Kikyo closed the door and walked over to her room.

Author's Note: Hey all, I'm so sorry I didn't update this story sooner. It's been near four months and that too long for me. Well I'm soo sorry. I hope I can make it up to you.. (Holds up an Inuyasha poster) Will this help? I finished the series finally so I'm mad about they ended it because now I need to buy the manga's and man is that gonna burn a hole in my wallet.
