Author's Note: Sorry everybody, I've been so busy trying to find a job so everything was postponed for a while. Alright then here's the chapter that I so owed you guys! (Opens closet door… Ee way are not worthe way!)

Chapter 7 * What's wrong with me? *

 

Recap:

“Is that Inuyasha's car?” Kagome's mom asked her.

 

“Yea, we finished our English project and he helped me with my math homework. Sorry I didn't call earlier.” Kagome gave her mom a hug and heard Inuyasha's car leave. Kagome's mom walked with Kagome into the house, and Kagome walked up to her bedroom and fell asleep instantly wondering what Inuyasha was doing.

On with the story:

 

Kagome woke up the next morning to the sound of her alarm clock going off. She slowly got out of bed and made her way to the bathroom. When she was done with the routinely shower and brushing of her hair and teeth. She went back to her room and pulled on some low-rise blue jeans and pulled her pink t-shirt on that said `Don't hate me cuz I'm beautiful.' She grabbed her books from her nightstand and went downstairs to grab a pop-tart, after that she got into her grand-prix she drove off to school. Kagome pulled into the student parking lot ten minutes later. She was getting her books out of her backseat when she felt two hands go around her waist. She had a good guess who it was.

 

“Morning Inuyasha.” Kagome tried to rotate in his arms and was surprised when she did, she was not facing Inuyasha but she was facing a mad Kouga.

 

“Why am I hearing rumors of you and Inuyasha being together?” Kouga grabbed her waist, she didn't think that he was going to let any time soon.

 

“Kouga, get your dirty hands off of me, and that should not concern you because we aren't together anymore. Maybe if you keep telling yourself that maybe you'll get through your thick skull that WE ARE NOT TOGETHER ANYMORE!” Kagome screamed, pushing Kouga away.

 

“Now, look here, bitch. We are not done.” To prove his point, he tried to drag her pants down to her ankles and unzipped his pants.

 

“Kouga no!” Kagome screamed again trying to get other people's attention. Nobody paid any heed to Kouga's attempt to rape her.

 

“Fire!” Kagome screamed again to get people to look over at her. It succeeded and grabbed the attention of everybody in the parking lot. Everybody started to circle around Kouga and Kagome.

 

“Kouga, get the hell off of Kagome!” Sango tried to make her way in front of the crowd. Sango was pushing everybody out of her way, she finally made her way to her best friend. Seeing Kagome with her pants halfway off, she punched Kouga so hard he fell backward giving everybody a full view of his erection.

 

“Eww!” Sango cried. She went to her friend and tried to console her. Trying to compose herself Kagome reached down to pull up her pants. While Sango was hugging Kagome, Miroku and Inuyasha walked over to see why everybody was surrounding Kagome's car.

 

Inuyasha saw Kouga laying on the ground with his… well yea you get the picture. Inuyasha made his way over to Kagome and talked to Sango and told her to go ahead into the school. Sango, Miroku and the rest of the students that were in the parking lot headed into the school because the bell was going to ring. Inuyasha walked Kagome over to a tree and sat at the base and held Kagome and tried to console her.

 

“Kagome, are you okay? Kouga didn't do anything did her?” Inuyasha rubbed his hands up and down her arms, trying to bring warmth to Kagome.

 

“He… He.. He was going to rape me again, Inuyasha. I… I.” Kagome had her arms crossed over her chest, trying to tell herself to be brave… “I'm sorry. I'm scared.” Kagome leaned against Inuyasha sobbing into his shirt.

 

Inuyasha let her cry; he knew she needed to let it out of her system. `I should've been here earlier to protect Kagome.' Inuyasha wrapped his arms around her to hug her. Kagome let him and cried into his shirt even more.

 

“Kagome, do you want me to take you home? You don't have to go in the school. Come on, let's go.” Inuyasha tried to get up but didn't succeed because Kagome was still holding onto him.

 

“Kagome, you're going to have to let me go so I can take you home.” Kagome released her grip and he got up. He held out his hand for her to get up. Kagome grabbed a hold of it and pulled herself off the grass.

 

“I think I'm gonna try and make it through the day.” Kagome spoke rather dehydrated. Inuyasha and Kagome walked towards the building when Kagome felt a hand grab her ankle.

 

“This ain't over bitch!” Kouga muttered.

 

Inuyasha slammed his foot over Kouga's hand and with that Kouga let go of her ankle and the two of them entered the school building and made their way to their first block.

 

“Well, if it isn't Mr. Takahashi and Ms. Higuarshi. Why don't you two take your seats and proceed with the lesson today?” Mr. Annio said, while pointing to their seats.

 

Inuyasha and Kagome took their seats and knowing that they were being stared at, they looked over to the friend as if to tell them that they would talk about it later. Inuyasha grabbed his pencil and a piece of paper and wrote a small note to Kagome.

 

Do you want to me to go to your place today and help you with your math homework or what?

Sure! Everybody isn't going to be at the house today because their going to my aunts and I didn't want to go so we'll have the place to ourselves.

Alright, I'll follow you home after school then.

Ok!

 

Kagome looked up at the black board and saw that the teacher was writing an equation on the board and tried to solve for y. She looked over Inuyasha's shoulder to see if she got the answer right and right when she did, the teacher was looking in her direction..

 

“Ms. Higuarshi do you know the answer to this problem?” Mr. Annio said while holding the chalk for Kagome to get up and show the class how the problem is supposed to be. Kagome glared at the teacher and went up to the black board and tried to remember what Inuyasha taught her. Without knowing, she finished the problem and was staring at it.

 

“Good work, Higuarshi you may sit down now.” Kagome walked back to her seat and sat down. Inuyasha smirked at her and glanced back down at his own paper and was surprised that he had the wrong answer written down.

 

After school was over, Inuyasha met Kagome at her car. Kagome came up to him and thanked him about that morning with Kouga with a hug. Inuyasha let Kagome into her car and he followed right behind her. They shortly came upon Kagome's house and Inuyasha pulled in the driveway right behind her.

 

“So, what do you want to do first?” Kagome questioned Inuyasha.

 

“I don't know about you but I'm hungry. Do you have any ramen?” Inuyasha asked while he let himself into her house. He mad his way into the kitchen and started going through the cupboards to find the ramen.

 

“It's in the middle cupboard.” Kagome said quietly said while sitting down at the table.

 

“What's wrong?” Inuyasha looked over at her.

 

“Inuyasha, what's wrong with me?” Kagome glanced up at him with her eyes misting over.

 

Inuyasha left the ramen on the counter and pulled a chair over to where Kagome was and tried to comfort her…

 

“Nothing's wrong with you, there's something wrong with Kouga. You're perfect, don't think otherwise.”

 

“But, I fell for his tricks, Sango even tried to warn about Kouga even when Kouga and I were going out but I didn't pay any attention to what she said.”

 

“Kagome, who can blame you, you thought you guys had something good. You never knew so don't worry about it, put in the past where it belongs.” Inuyasha pulled her hands into his and started to rub them gently.

 

Kagome looked up to him and wished she could be brave. Only one thing came to mind and she looked him straight in the eye and sat up straight and kissed him. Inuyasha was the first to pull away.

 

“Kagome, no, I don't want to do something that you're going to regret later.” Inuyasha looked at Kagome and searched her face for an answer. He didn't see anything but sadness from this morning.

 

“Please.” Kagome blinked her eyes and the bitter tear slipped out of her eye. She brushed her hand over her eye and wiped her tear away.

 

“I'm sorry.” Inuyasha got up and made himself some ramen.

 

`What's wrong with me, that Inuyasha won't even kiss me now?' Kagome thought as she got out of the chair and ran up to her room. Inuyasha glanced over his shoulder and saw that Kagome wasn't downstairs anymore. Inuyasha felt something vibrate against his leg.

 

“Shit.” Inuyasha looked at his caller id, and saw that it was Miroku calling him.

 

“Yo, what's up Inuyasha?” Miroku asked over the cell phone.

 

“I'm at Kagome's house, I'll call u back in a few minutes.”

 

“Okay, you might want to call Sango because she wants to know how Kagome's hanging.” Miroku sighed and hung up.

 

Inuyasha walked up the stairs and knocked on Kagome's bedroom door.

 

“May I come in?”

 

“Sure” Kagome's voice said through her pillow.

 

“Kagome, I'm sorry.”

 

Kagome popped her head out her pillow and looked up at Inuyasha.

 

“Why are you sorry, nothing happened to you? I should be saying I'm sorry, because of all the shit that happened today.” Kagome sat up in her bed and forced the blankets to pool around her stomach.

 

Inuyasha couldn't take anymore of her complaining and leaned down to kiss her…

With Sango and Miroku

~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~

 

“What are we going to do, Miroku, we can't stand around like this forever. I have to do something.” Sango said while she was pacing around his living room.

 

“Sango, sweets, let's just give them more time. You know how Kagome is. She won't say shit unless someone forces it out of her.” Miroku got up from his couch and grabbed Sango's arms and forced her to sit on the couch.

 

“Now why don't we do something to make the time go by faster?” Miroku said while getting closer to Sango. He grabbed Sango's sides and pulled her to him and closed the space by kissing her.

 

Unfortunately it didn't last long due to his traveling hand. (SLAP!)

 

“Ouch, Sango that hurts.” A red hand-print appeared from Sango's slap to his cheek. Miroku caressed his cheek like it was prize.

 

“Okay, I'm getting fed up with waiting. I'm going over there and you can't stop me.” Sango marched up to the front door and walked out of his house and was starting the engine to her car when Miroku slid into the passenger seat.

 

“Well, if you're going. I might as well go too.” Miroku said with a smirk.

Back to Inu and Kag

Bring! Bring! The telephone screamed. Kagome pulled away from Inuyasha's lips and grabbed the telephone from her desk.

 

“Hello?” Kagome asked.

 

“Hey, sis! How's everything down there?” A voice yelled over the phone, forcing Kagome to pull it away from her ear.

 

“Rin, how've you been? Nothing much has happened, it's over with me and Kouga though so you missed the big action when you left for college.” Kagome smiled. Inuyasha looked at her curiously. Kagome mouthed to him that it was her sister on the phone, and Inuyasha nodded.

 

“Oooh, exciting. Is there any new man in my sister's life?”

 

“I don't know. I mean there's Inuyasha here helping me with my math homework.” Kagome looked over to where Inuyasha was and smiled when she saw that he was about to fall asleep.

 

“Wasn't he the one that went out with Kikyo? By the way how is the ho doing?” Rin laughed.

 

“Same old, same old. Are you coming down soon? I've missed you.” Kagome sighed.

 

“yeah, as a matter of fact, I'll be there in about an a hour. So be prepared for me.” Kagome laughed.

 

“Well, I got to go and finish my homework; I'll see you when you get home. Bye” Kagome hung up the phone and made her way to where Inuyasha was lying. She brushed away his bangs from his face to get a good look at him.

 

“He's so peaceful when he's asleep.” Kagome thought out loud.

 

“Kagome! Where are you?” Sango yelled up the stairs. Inuyasha bolted awake.

 

“Oh shit!” Kagome said.
