~~Chapter 8~~

~~ Visit from the sister ~~

 

Recap:

“Well, I got to go and finish my homework; I'll see you when you get home. Bye” Kagome hung up the phone and made her way to where Inuyasha was lying. She brushed away his bangs from his face to get a good look at him.

 

“He's so peaceful when he's asleep.” Kagome thought out loud.

 

“Kagome! Where are you?” Sango yelled up the stairs. Inuyasha bolted awake.

 

“Oh shit!” Kagome said.

“Kagome, I'm coming up so you two better stop whatever you two are doing.” Sango yelled as she climbed the stairs two at a time. When Sango pulled open her bedroom door, she glanced around the room and sure enough, Inuyasha and Kagome were on the floor together.

 

“Damn, Sango. I don't think they heard in you in China. Maybe you should yell a bit louder next time.” Inuyasha glared up at her. Inuyasha untangled himself from Kagome's body and sat at the foot of the bed.

 

“Don't you dare say anything more, you were supposed to call, but no you guys had to go and do something crazy.”

 

“Sango, get a grip, will ya? Inuyasha was just helping me with my homework.” Kagome tried to explain.

 

“That's what it looked like to me Sango, I told you to let them have a few minutes before you barged in here. But no, do you ever listen to me?” Miroku asked.

 

“No!” Sango yelled at him, the last time she listened to him was when they kissed and his roaming hands had to finish with groping her.

 

“Now, are you going to tell me what happened this morning or not?” Sango sat on the floor waiting for a response.

 

“I was getting my stuff out of my backseat and that was when Kouga grabbed me. At first I thought it was Inuyasha but when I turned around it was Kouga, and he was mad. He thought me and Inuyasha were a couple.” Kagome started.

 

“Feh!” Inuyasha said, he grabbed Kagome's hand and forced her to sit down next to him, running his hands over her own trying to console her.

 

Kagome's eyes were getting heavy by the second, and she couldn't keep them open for much longer because she soon fell asleep.

 

“Why don't you guys come back at a later time when she's actually up to talking? I'll call you guys when she wakes up.” Miroku and Sango got up to leave Kagome's room when Inuyasha got up from his spot and carried her to the top and placed her down and tugged a blanket over her sleeping frame. Inuyasha walked with Sango and Miroku down to the front door and they said their good-byes. After they left Inuyasha walked back up to Kagome's room and opened it.

 

“You can get up now, their gone.” Inuyasha smirked as he saw the blanket fall and Kagome silently propping herself up in front of her headboard.

 

“How did you know?” Kagome asked him.

 

“Hello, hanyou remember? I can tell the difference. Don't worry your secrets safe with me.” Inuyasha walked over to her and kissed her gently. Another knock on the door, resounded against the frame of the house.

 

“Well, hell. If people keep interrupting me I'm gonna kill something.” Inuyasha got up and grabbed Kagome's hand and walked to the front door, when Kagome was about to open it, the person on the other side opened it first.

 

“Wow, it feels like I haven't been here for forever. What's up sis?” Rin pulled her sister forward and planted a kiss on her cheek. Inuyasha not wanting to be around anymore, tried to go for the door when he heard…

 

“You remember Inuyasha don't ya Rin?” Kagome grabbed Inuyasha's hand before he could make it out the door and pulled him over to her.

 

“Oh, yeah, how are you Inu? How's your brother Sesshy?” Rin asked.

 

“I'm okay; I don't what to say for my brother though. I think he's got a girlfriend or something.” Inuyasha said not wanting to go near the subject of his brother again. Inuyasha hated his brother even though he had to live with him.

 

“Do you know who?” Rin asked with worry in her voice. Kagome knew she had a crush on Inuyasha's brother back when she was younger then again you'd have to be crazy not to have a crush on the gorgeous youkai.

 

“No, I'm sorry. Well I got to go, I'll call you later tonight to help you with your homework. You might want to call Sango sometime soon. Bye.” Inuyasha leaned toward Kagome and kissed the other cheek.

 

“Wow, I guess some things have changed.” Rin lugged her suitcases inside to the house.

 

“Why did you bring all of your stuff, aren't you going back to college?” Kagome asked grinning.

 

“I don't think college life is for me. I mean I hate having the professors give me a handout at the beginning of the semester and doing all on my own time… So dish, what's going on with you and this handsome Inuyasha?” Rin grabbed her sister's hand and pulled her to the dining room table wanting the 411 about what was going on.

“Well, you remember Kouga and what happened between us right? (Rin nods her head) Well he raped me and we broke up (Gasp!) Yea, well then on my way into the school building, Kouga comes up to me again and tried to rape me again, but it didn't work because Sango hit him and Inuyasha broke Kouga's hand by stepping on it. Well there I got it out.” Kagome walked into the kitchen and grabbed the untouched ramen that Inuyasha got out. She boiled some water and added the ramen noodles to it.

 

“Ok, what happened to the Kiky-ho? I thought she still had feelings for him?” Rin asked confused.

 

“I don't know, if she did I would've thought she would've told me. And personally I don't care about Kikyo.” Kagome said while draining the noodles and dropping them into a bowl and added the spices to it. She grabbed a fork out of the middle drawer and sat down at the island and started slurping the ramen.

 

“Okay, so then does mom have the spare bedroom open still?” Rin asked.

 

“Yea, I think so. I haven't seen her go through it since you left last month. Do you want me to do some laundry?” Kagome asked getting up from the empty bowl, placing it in the sink, she turned back around to Rin.

 

“No! I mean you probably have to call Sango and finish your homework don't bother I can do it.” Rin said while she was starting to walk up the stairs with the suitcases dragging up the stairs behind her.

 

“Brother, what I have gotten myself into.” Kagome heaved a sigh. She sat down and glanced at the telephone. She warily picked it up and dialed Sango's number, no one answered, so she hung up.

Sango and Miroku

~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~

 

“What do you think we should do Miroku? I mean I can't walk around all night worrying about her.” Sango sighed, as she wore down the carpet of her bedroom. She glared at Miroku sitting on her bed like it was nothing.

 

“Sango, come on. Cheer up, at least Inuyasha was there,” Sango glared at him again, “Sit down, I can't watch you worry yourself over nothing.” Miroku grimaced when she looked at him with the eye.

 

“Nothing! This is not nothing. Something happened and I want to know everything that went down between Kagome and Kouga. Miroku you don't understand Kagome's like a sister to me. I've known her all my life.” Sango sighed. She walked over to her bed and sat down. She didn't have anything to do beside worry for her best friend. She didn't notice that Miroku wrapped his arm around her shoulders. She surprised herself by laying her head on his arm.

 

“Sango, what are you thinking about?” Miroku asked.

 

“Everything, even the little things.” Sango tried to say more but…

 

“You know what? You think too much.” Miroku leaned toward Sango and kissed her gently.

Rin & Kagome

“Kagome, can you help me up here?” Rin yelled down to her sister.

 

“I'll be up in a few minutes let me finish my homework.” Kagome sighed deeply not wanting to finish this. She put her eye up to her cell phone.

 

“Alright, I finished 15, now number 16. How do I figure out the y out of the equation?” Kagome asked Inuyasha over the phone.

 

“You put in the number that represents x and put it into the equation and solve for y.” Inuyasha told her while looking at his own work.

 

“Ok, so should the answer be 62.401?” Kagome asked.

 

“Yea, you're getting better at this. Pretty soon you'll ace the next test.” Inuyasha retaliated.

 

“I'll still need help.” Kagome added.

 

“Alright, I think that's it babe. I'll see ya tomorrow. Have you talked to Sango yet?” Inuyasha asked.

 

“Yea, I just got off the phone with her. You wanna know something?” Kagome asked him.

 

“Why, what's happened?” Inuyasha inquired.

 

“Sango and Miroku are going out.” Kagome said happily.

 

“You're shittin me. Miroku settled down with Sango. That's gonna be hilarious. With his groping problems he's gonna be brandished with a slap mark.” Inuyasha said chuckling.

 

“Yea, I know. Ok, well you're probably gonna have to eat soon, so I'll let ya go. I have to go help my sister. See ya tomorrow?” Kagome questioned.

 

“Yea, I'll wait for you. Bye.” Inuyasha sighed.

 

“Bye.” Kagome said right before she was cut off.

 

Kagome hurried upstairs to where her sister was and helped her around the room. Dusting the headboard, running the sweeper around the room, when she was finished helping Rin with the room, the phone rang. Kagome ran into her room and answered it.

 

“Hello?” Kagome answered the phone.

 

“Yes, is Rin there I was told by my brother that she was home.” Sesshomarou told the girl.

 

“Yea, hold on,” Kagome covered her hand over the receiver. “Rin, the phone's for you.” Kagome yelled for her sister.

 

“Coming.” Rin walked into Kagome's room and was handed the phone. “Hello, this is Rin speaking.”

 

Sesshomarou sighed at hearing her voice over the phone. “Hi Rin, how've you been?” Sesshomarou asked.

 

“I'm quite fine. I finished unloading my stuff into the extra room. How `bout yourself? I heard that you have a girlfriend?” Rin asked him.

 

“Who said I had a girlfriend. I don't have a girlfriend. `Oh that Inuyasha is dead meat.' Sorry, I'm fine… I have a question for you though.” Sesshomarou added.

 

“And what might that be Sesshy?” Rin giggled as she used the nickname that she issued to him.

 

“Umm, I was wondering if you would like to go with me to dinner tonight as a welcome home gift from me, what do you think.” Sesshomarou questioned her.

 

“Umm, well I don't know, I don't want to leave my sister her by herself.”

 

“Oh just accept already and get it over with. I'll be fine by myself.” Kagome giggled while she was listening in on another extension in the house.

 

“Kagome! You shouldn't do that, you know it isn't nice.”

 

“Oh, screw nice. Just go have a good time I'll tell mom you're here and you went out.” Kagome walked into her room with a cordless between her shoulder and her ear. She smiled up at her sister and hung up the phone.

 

“Sure, I'll go. What time do you want to come get me or do you want to meet somewhere?” Rin asked Sesshomarou over the phone.

 

“I'll come get around 8 o'clock is that alright. Maybe I'll drop Inuyasha over there so him and Kagome can hang. Well see you later. Bye.” Sesshomarou said.

 

“Bye, see ya then.” Rin said with a smile crossing her face. Both of them hung up the phone. Rin jumped around the room going up to her sister and hugging her.

 

“Oh my gosh, I'm going on a date with Sesshy. What should I wear? How should I do my make-up? You're going to help with this.” Rin grabbed her sisters hand and pulled Kagome into the spare room and they got ready for the big date.

 

Author's Note: Yea, I finished this chapter. Me so happy. I finally got to Rin and Sesshomarou. Should I write the date I don't know. (People start throwing tomatoes again) Okay, Okay I'll write the date. Sorry Sesshomarou is OOC. I can't help it, I wanted to bring another side to Sesshomarou. I love Sesshomarou. Okay, I'm starting on the next chapter. (Opens closet door again to praise Inuyasha and Sesshomarou)
