*tear* Well here is what you have been waiting for! The show down at the prom. Think about it, Inu Yasha and his brother fighting for Kagome. How will it end?! It wouldn't up load right but now it has so no need to worry just go back read that over and then read this chapter. Good 'OLE fun hehe......

Showdown at Midnight

InuYasha ran outside to the parking lot to see a car door open and a squirming Kagome. "Get the FUCK OFF OF ME DAMNIT!!!" she yelled and managed to kick Sess again.

"Ow! Damn you!" he growled. InuYasha ran towards them and tackled Sess "You bastard!!!! Don't you dare touch her again damn it!! You will pay!!!!" InuYasha glared down at him his eyes starting to glint red.
"Oh yeah? Well, show me whatcha got punk." Sessho-maru pushed him off and InuYasha stumbled back a little.

"Kagome! Are you okay?!" he yelled right before being tripped by his brother.
"Yeah I'm okay." she said softly.
"Urghh" InuYasha grabbed Sessho-maru by the neck and threw him about ten feet in front of him.

"Aww is that all you have to show me little bro? You were always such a weakling" Sessho-maru got up and punched Inu in the jaw.
"Ah shit" he grumbled and kicked Sessho-maru in the balls and started to jump up and down on his rubbs hearing them slowly crack.

"Muwhahahaha!" Inu laughed, "Never touch her again damn you!!!! I hate you, you lay another dirty hand on her and I will kill you, I will kill you with my bare fuckin' hands!!" he screamed and got off of Sessho-maru who was curled into a ball unconious.
InuYasha slowly walked over to the car glancing back to the defeated jerk lying on the ground. He peeked inside the car and whispered.

"Kagome?"
"Y-yes..." she whispered.

"I-I.." he was broke off by Kagome hugging him tightly, silently starting to cry on his shoulder. He hugged her back saying comfortingly
"Shh, Kagome it's okay..I'm here now...I'm so sorry, please forgive me..." he sighed hugging her closer to him helping her out of the car. She looked up at him, her teary eyes shinning in the full moon's light.

"I forgive you.." she half smiled and wrapped her arms around his neck and layed her head on his chest. They stayed silent for a while and then a slow song came on.
"Hey...I like this song, I remember hearing it on the radio once, I remember the words.." she looked up at him. He smiled
"Will you sing for me?" he asked softly

"Sure.." she blushed and bit down on her lip. "The singer's name is Brandy.."

"Oh.."
Kagome began to sing the words "Have you ever loved someone so much it makes you cry? Have you ever needed something so bad you can't sleep at night? Have you ever tried to say the words, but they don't come out right? Have you ever, have you ever? Have you ever been in love...Been in love so bad that you'd give anything to make them understand?" she sung lightly and looked into his deep violet eyes.

'I..I think I love him..' she smiled still singing the song.

'I love her...I really love her..I wish I could stay in this parking lot forever with her.' He held her closer and she kept singing.
"What do I gotta do to get you in my arms baby. What do I gotta say to get to your heart. To make you understand how I need you next to me. Gotta get you in my world,
'Cuz baby I cant sleep! Oh Have you ever loved someone so much it makes you cry? Have you ever needed something so bad you can't sleep at night..." she kept singing as a tear rolled down her cheek and she stopped.

"Kagome.." he whispered in her ear.
"Hmm.."

"I wanna be with you..." he looked deeply in her eyes and gently kissed her lips and pulled back. 'Oh crap what the heck have I done?!' he began to panic in his head. She sighed and whispered back...

"I wanna be with you too..." she smiled and kissed him back lightly gliding her tongue across his teeth and pulled back to see the surprised expression on his face along with a deep blush. She blushed mad red and giggled. "This song...it reminds me of you...I wanted to be with you since the day I saw you...I was just afraid you wouldn't like me too." he softly said.

"I feel the same way." they kept dancing there for what seemed like forever when a clock had struck midnight.
"Hey you two!" a familiar voice yelled.

"We've been looking for you guys all over the place!" Sango ran up to them, Miroku right behind her. "Yeah we were kinda getting worried about you guys." "Oh ehh sorry.." InuYasha said blushing so hard he looked like his face would explode as Kagome's face looked the same way. They pulled apart.

"Hm what have YOU been doing all this time?" Sango grinned and winked at InuYasha. "Heh ehh nothing much" Inu *anime sweatdrop* "Ah sure" Miroku nudged InuYasha.

"Common you guys, the prom is over, we couldn't find a party or nothing so you want to go take a drive to one of those American places...eh, Denny's about 50 miles from here" Sango looked at them and sighed.

"Sure" they all said in unison. "And uh well could you drive InuYasha, our ride kinda uh left us." Miroku admitted. Inu *anime falls* "Okay, whatever" they all started towards the electric blue 2002 Toyota ((hey I don't remember if I said I diff car before but work with me here lol))

"This is one cool car" Sango said as she got in the back seat with Miroku and Kagome got in the front.
"Well here we go.." Inu turned on the ignition right as he heard a yelp and smack. He turned around to see Sango on the far end of her seat mumbling "Damn perverted lil..." "Hey! You guys if You are going to be in this car you can't fight! I am not going to get in trouble for messing up this car!" he glared at Miroku. They all nodded as they got onto the freeway. "So you and Kagome boyfriend and girlfriend yet?" Miroku asked.

"WHAT?!" Inu yelled and swerved over to the side. "What are you.." he began to bellow and then looked at Kagome's face. 'Don't be scared anymore damn it.' he thought and sighed. He half smiled getting back onto the freeway. "Yeah..we are." he said calmly and began driving again. He glanced over at Kagome's face that just lighted up as he said that. He looked in his rear view mirror only to see Sango's triumphed face. 'Man do I owe her big time....even if she is freakin' insane.'

~* 50 miles and a lot of silence later *~

He drived into the Denny's parking lot at around 1:30 AM. "We're here." he said and yawned. Everyone woke up from their little naps. "Huh?" Miroku yawned and laid back on Sango's boobs. "Ack.." she pushed him off. "Too tired to smack you now." she shook her head and got out the car and got out the car, Miroku right behind her.

InuYasha walked up to Kagome and wrapped an arm around her waist walking in there.

"Whoa.." Kagome said looking around "The place is empty! Yess." she jumped into a booth and InuYasha grinned and crawled in behind her. "Hello kids, how you doing?" a waitress around 30 with red lipstick and a black uniform came up to them. "Looks like you guys just came from prom! Did you have some fun?" she smiled showing a little lipstick on her teeth. They snickered and said together.
"It was OK"

"Hmm alright, what will it be?"
"Hmm I will have one of the 'fiesta' chicken skillets, and water please." Kagome said and leaned on InuYasha's arm. He smiled down at her "Uh I will have the sampler with the chicken strips, onion rings, and stuff, please? With a coke"

"Alrighty and for you two" he looked at a very sleepy Sango and Miroku. "Order for me please.." Sango mumbled to Miroku.

"Sure..uh we'll have a cheese burger and fries with two shakes please.Oh and could you bring some coffee too?" he wrapped his arm around Sango and patted her head gently. "Yeah bring us some coffee too!" Kagome chimed on in. "Alright then I'll bring your orders back soon." she walked away and disappeared into the kitchen.

"Well, where we you guys for al that time during the dance?" Sango sat up a little more and looked at them both. "Well.." InuYasha began to tell them about Sessho-maru and how he attacked Kagome and then how they had well confessed they liked each other. Five minutes later.. "Aw that's good, except for you're horny brother an all." Sango said. "Ah all in a day's work she sighed. "Heh. What you talkin' about Sango?" Sango looked at her suspiously. "Oh err nothing at all." she looked at her innocently.

"Yeah sure.." she giggled and blushed and held onto Inu's hand softly.
"Dude, you remember when you first came to school?" Miroku said. "Oh yeah that was 'funny' " he laughed and they began to reminisce about what happened in the last week and then Kagome began to recall things that had happened over the year. They all just laughed and outta nowhere the weird waitress came back with their orders. "Here you go, enjoy call me if you need anything else!" she set the food on the table and they all made a quick dash towards the coffee. "MMmm..coffee.." Sango smiled happily and became very alert. "much better." they all snickered and began to eat it up their food.

....10 minutes later....

"Ah I'm stuffed." Miroku said and patted his stomach. "Yup." they agreed.
"So you guys" Kagome sat back. "What are you gonna do this summer?" she nodded up to Sango and Miroku.

"Ah nothing in particular...just hang out I guess get ready for college.." Sango sighed and snuggled up to Miroku who welcomed her with open arms. "Same here. How about you Kagome? InuYasha? What are you guys gonna do now that you are together?" he grinned. Kagome blushed and InuYasha lightly blushed with her. "Uh I dunno, maybe just hang out and get ready for college too..." Kagome trailed off.

"Yeah are you still going to college in America with us?" Sango's eyes lit up. "Yea.." Kagome said looking down. "W-what about you InuYasha where are you going to college?" she looked up at him sadly. "Oh I'm going to a college in America too! It's in one of the states called 'California'...the school is called UC LA" he shrugged. "WHAT?! OMG THAT'S THE SCHOOL WE'RE GOING TOO! YAY!" Kagome shouted and jumped into InuYasha's lap and hugged him tightly.

"Cool!" he hugged her back.

"Well, this sure worked out fine." Miroku laughed. "Well, let's go you guys." they got up and went to the counter and paid the waitress and walked out to the car.
"Home we go." Inu Yasha said and looked at his watch as everyone else got in the car.

"Damn...we better get going it's like 2:30 AM!" he jumped in the car and began the drive home. He drove on in silence as everyone went to sleep. He looked at Kagome. 'She's so peaceful there...I really do love her..I know I do, I just need to tell her. I guess I will later on this summer.' he smiled and looked out towards the open road.

InuYasha dropped Sango and Miroku off at their houses and got to in front of Kagome house. "Well, I guess I'll see you later InuYasha.." she kissed his cheek. "Let me walk you to you're door." he offered and got out of the car and held her hand walking to the door.

"Thank you so munch Inu Yasha." she hugged him tightly. "It was nothing.." he blushed and kissed her letting his tongue explore her mouth. She giggles a little and shuddered in enjoyment. She pulled away as they reached the door. "See ya" she said and reached for the door and gasped. "What is it?" he looked at her concerned. "I forgot my key! We don't have a spare either and I can't wake up the whole house! Damn it!" she hit her head.
"Hey it's okay! You can just spend the night at my house its cool." she giggled nervously.

"Really?"
"Yeah sure, Kaede won't mind."

" Alright then." they walked back to the car and drove to her house in about 10 minutes going way over the speed limit. They creeped inside and slowly up the stairs and into his room.
"Whoa..nice room.." she whispered looking at his stereo.
"Thanks.." he looked down at the floor.

"You have anything I could borrow to wear?" she asked hesitantly.
"Yeah." he walked over to a drawer and pulled out a baggy shirt and some baggy shorts for her.
"Here ya go. There's a bathroom right there." He pointed to it.

"Okay thanks." She walked in and changed and came back 5 minutes later.
"Hey." She walked up to him and saw him in his pj's which were just some pj pants.

"Hey.." He put his arms around her and hugged her against his bare chest. ((AHH! Sexy InuYasha and his muscly chest *dreamily sighs* lol I need some help.)) "You mind sleeping in this bed with me?" he blushed deeply, but you couldn't really see it was too dark. She giggled. "Okay." She climbed in the bed and he came in behind her and held her tightly against him nuzzling his chin into her neck as they both drifted off to sleep.
