As they walked Kagome talking with Shippo and Sango as Mirkou had to pleasure of bothering Inuyasha. Kagome kept walking as Shippo kept asking her questions about the modern era as she called it.

Kagome then stopped as Sango turned to her,” What's wrong Kagome?”

Inuyasha then asked,” Is it a shard?”

Kagome couldn't speak she looked devastated. Shippo shook her,” Kagome what's wrong?”

Then Inuyasha saw her hair glow and the sign appear again and he could tell everyone else saw it too,” Kagome? What is it?”

She shuddered,” Jewels…lots of them. Too much to count.”

Mirkou looked around,” Who do you think it is.”

Inuyasha rebounded,” Simple Naraku.”

“ It has to be.”

Kagome looked around,” It's coming fast…”

Then Naraku appeared before them with Kagura and Kanna,” Naraku…”

“ Hahaha! Foolish hunters you are.”

Kagome notched her arrow as she stood behind Sango and Kirara. Three arrows were notched as she chanted softly.

Naraku's eyes widened as a wall encircled around them and she put up her bow releasing her arrows and they hit him down.

Inuyasha and Mirkou jumped back as Kagome walked forth still chanting putting her arms out. Inuyasha and Mirkou nodded as they ran to attack Naraku but then Kagura attacked but her powers were rendered useless. Kagome had her eyes shut still chanting as Inuyasha yelled,” Your powers are gone Kagura.”

“ What! How?”

Sango jumped in,” Kagome…”

Kagome opened her eyes and nodded at Sango as she threw her boomerang at Naraku and it missed by an inch. Kagome then walked forth running at Naraku but then stopping as she turned to Kanna and took her arrow throwing it at the mirror as it broke. Kagome ran at Kanna and jumped up behind her putting her hand on her shoulder as black energy surrounded them but then surrounded them both. Kagome clinched as the energy faded then Kanna disappeared and Kagome stood,” She has been reborned Naraku but I shall not reborn you.”

Inuyasha turned to her as she notched her arrow and hit him but he dodged leaving as Kagura followed. Kagome then fell to the ground as the walls disappeared. Sango and the others ran to her as Sango rolled her over. Mirkou walked to her,” The dark energy is dwelling around her, I must purify her.”

“ Mirkou she was supposed to be the one to purify. She over did herself…”

“ I know but I must hurry or Kagome will be our enemy.”

They nodded as Mirkou began to get to work. When Kagome woke up she was on Inuyasha's back,” Inuyasha.”

“ Feh, about time you're up.”

“ Shut up Inuyasha.”

“ Kagome you're like a sister to me so as a older brother listen to me and don't ever do anything that can endanger you like this again.”

“ Argh, my head hurts.”

“ Kagome did you hear me?”

“ Yes I did and I'm sorry.”

“ Good.”

Then they stopped to set up camp. Kagome lay against the tree the whole time since they wouldn't let her do anything until all her strength was regained.

Kagome looked up at the stars then looked over to Inuyasha,” Inuyasha are you sure it's wise to camp out on your brother's…”

“Half brothers!”

“ `Half brother's' lands.”

Mirkou then added,” She's right Inuyasha.”

“ You wouldn't want a battle to happen right here.”

Inuyasha sighed,” Not today…”

Kagome looked at him,” I'm sure he won't Inuyasha.”

He looked at her and was comforted by they way she looked at him and nodded.
