I couldn't really think about going to his show that night, seeing him would make me cry again. I heard Kikyo giggling as she looked at herself at the mirror changing clothes and talking on the phone with one of her friends. Sometimes I wished things had gone differently, there she was… the perfect girl, the kind of girl that everyone wants to date…
Pretty.
Funny.
Smart.
Athletic.
In everyone's eyes, perfect... and then there's me, the pregnant little girl who always gets everything the wrong way. I didn't like crying but my hormones were thinking the contrary so my tears were everywhere in bed. It felt strange though, if I am so in love with Kouga then… why does it bother me so much that Kikyo is going out with Inuyasha? Is it because I know that she has a boyfriend? Or because it hurts me that someone as good as him is going out with her?
“Of course he doesn't know,” I heard her say from her room, I gently cleaned my tears and peeped from my room to her to find her staring at her reflection. “Well, things with Naraku aren't that good anymore… Like what? Want a list?”
I hate to eavesdrop but… this might be interesting.
“To start with, sex isn't that great anymore… I mean he's finished before I am and that's starting to bother me, I hate to finish by myself.” I tried to suppress my giggles but one escaped me and I immediately covered my mouth and went back inside my room. “Hold on.”
I lay on the bed and grabbed a book as I heard the door knob turning; Kikyo entered wearing a white dress with gray leggings and her phone on her hand.
“Hey, can I borrow your cyan shoes?” I looked at her and quickly nodded as she went to my closet; she took my flats and sighed. “Where's your matching bag?”
“I left it downstairs, look for it at living room.” She nodded and walked out, I sighed relieved and I heard my house phone ringing.
“Hello?” I answered.
“Open your door.” Sango ordered and I sighed before hanging up.
“Kikyo! Would you please let Sango in?” I asked and heard an annoyed grunt, Sango came upstairs with a smile on her face but it suddenly fell when she saw my pajamas.
“Why are you wearing that?” she asked kind of angry and I looked down my outfit.
“I'm going to sleep, I'm really tired.” Sango shook her head.
“No, we have a show tonight… remember?” I tried not to but I sighed. “What?”
“Kikyo is going too… with Inuyasha.” Sango's mouth formed into and `o' but she didn't say a thing, she sighed as well while she sat next to me. “I really don't feel like going, it's hard enough to be pregnant and trying to hide this bump.”
“Kags, I love you to death but you have to stop being a pussy.” Huh? Sango rolled her eyes at me. “Look, Kikyo has taken everything in your life… if you like Inuyasha, do something!”
“Like what?!” I nearly yelled and Sango sighed, I could tell I was crying again because of the drops I heard hitting the ground. “If Kikyo wants something, she gets it.”
“But not everyone gets what they want in life… look, I'll be in my car and wait for you and if you want to come that will be great but if you want to stay here and cry all night long, then you're not who I thought you were.”
I watched her walk out of the room and saw Kikyo walking towards the bathroom, probably to fix her perfect hair. Sango had a point, I did have a chance and not everyone gets what they want… but what if I'm not that into Inuyasha? I mean, he's a great friend I got to admit that and I would love to know him better and then I think of Kouga and how my heart still jumps when I think about him. Should I try something with Inuyasha? Would I be that mean like to take something away from my sister just to prove that she's not as great as she seems? I honestly didn't know the answer to any of those questions…
But staying in my room wouldn't do a thing to solve them.
I quickly got into my sweatpants and big hoodie before running downstairs and explaining to my mom how I would return before midnight. I smiled when I found Sango sitting on top of her car and playing with her car keys, at the sound of the slam of the door she turned to look at me with a wide smile.
“What took you so long?” She said as she walked to the driver's seat, Sango unlocked the doors and we simultaneously jumped inside the car.
“So where are we going?” I asked and she let out a giggle, “First, we are getting you some good clothes… consider it your birthday present in advance.”

Sango took me to the mall, it was a store I thought I would never visit but it seemed necessary now that my baby was growing faster than planned. I tried a bunch of outfits and Sango bought me tons of tops that did the greatest work in covering my tummy, they were much prettier than my baggy sweater which my mom had to wash every week. She also bought me a few pants and skirts to remind me that I wasn't going for a run like my old pants used to. But Sango had other plans in mind, while I tried on many things I liked she had searched for something for me to wear tonight. She found a very cute red dress that didn't accentuate my figure which in my case was a good thing; Sango came with silver flat sandals and smiled at me.
“Now if you want to wear it after your pregnancy, you can always tie it up with a belt.” I hugged her and tried to stop my tears from falling, my baby was as happy as I was and kicked against my stomach. “I'm glad someone is excited about this.”
“I'll pay it back Sango, I…”
“Kags, I'm your friend…” She interrupted. “I don't want anything from you and I'm doing this only to see you happy; you have nothing to worry about… so you better stop crying or I won't be able to put make up on you.”
“Thank you so much Sango.” She shrugged her shoulders and shot me a smile before walking to the cashier to pay.
I got on my dress and the sandals and dropped my clothes in the bag with my new clothes. We walked back to the car and she drove to the city, half an hour from where we lived. I checked the hour and knowing I would pass the curfew I decided to call my mom and tell her I was with Sango and that she would drive me home after this, even though she didn't like it she agreed. We parked in front of a bar and Sango pulled out from her purse her make up and started with my eyes, she put some base on my cheeks and she was done.
“You look gorgeous and if he isn't staring at you instead of your sister, he's a jerk and I mean it.” I giggled and she smiled. “C'mon, Miroku is already inside.”
We didn't have trouble going inside since Sango just mention Miroku's name and the guard outside immediately let us in. There were tons of people waiting for them and Miroku was up in the stage with his instrument, a bass from what I could tell and there was another guy with them on the drums. We both walked to the front and Sango excitedly greeted Miroku with a wave, I looked around in search of my sister or Inuyasha but none of them were in sight.
“Kagome, wow.” Miroku mumbled as he put aside his instrument, I smiled happily. “Well girls, the show is about to start… can I bring you something before I get ready to rock?”
“Get me a beer and get Kag lemonade,” Sango ordered and he nodded, he kissed her cheek softly and walked away. “So, have you seen him?”
“Not yet,” I said as I looked around, Sango elbowed me and pointed towards the door.
I can't believe I was actually holding my breath as I saw him come in and I felt myself even more excited when I realized he was alone… Kikyo wasn't there at all. I smiled and tried not to squeal out of excitement, Inuyasha climbed on top of the stage and connected his guitar to an amplifier. Miroku gave us our drinks and jumped next to his friend; he grabbed the microphone and started.
“How you doing tonight guys?” he asked and people cheered.
The show was very good, the band was able to keep up with the rhythm and they actually sung their own songs which made think that it wasn't the first time they played in this place. Some people were actually singing along with them and I found myself tapping my hand against my leg, Sango danced next to me and from time to time she would scream excitedly. Inuyasha's eyes were suddenly excitedly searching for someone and they were calmed down when his golden orbs met me, he half smiled at me and mouthed a hello and I waved at him. My baby inside gave a few kicks as I smiled back at him and he finished the song, he touched Miroku on the shoulder and he nodded.
“Well, tonight we'll try something different… I'll let Inuyasha take the lead,” Inuyasha walked towards the microphone and adjusted it to his height. “Enjoy this,”
“I'll play this song for someone in here; I hope she enjoys it…”
Inuyasha instructed something to the drummer and he nodded, he hit his drum sticks three times and they started playing. The song was very familiar and then it suddenly hit me, this was my favorite song.
Oh, the razorblade, that's what I call love,
I bet you'd pick it up and mess around with it
If I put it down
It gets extremely complicated.
Anything to forget everything.
You've got to take me out,
At least once a week
Whether I'm in your arms,
Or I'm at your feet.
I know exactly what you're thinking
You won't say it now
But in your heart it's loud
Oh no, my feelings are more important than yours.
Oh, drop dead, I don't care, I won't worry.
Let it go.
Oh, the razor blade,
Wish it would snap this rope
The world is in your hands
Or it's at your throat
At times it's not that complicated
Anything to forget everything.
I bet you'd pick it up and mess around with it
If I put it down
It gets extremely complicated.
Anything to forget everything.
You've got to take me out,
At least once a week
Whether I'm in your arms,
Or I'm at your feet.
I know exactly what you're thinking
You won't say it now
But in your heart it's loud
Oh no, my feelings are more important than yours.
Oh, drop dead, I don't care, I won't worry.

At times it's not that complicated
Anything to forget everything.
I was pretty sure I had blushed, my cheeks were burning hot but I didn't care it had showed me something I needed to know… I could give it a try with Inuyasha. He smiled as he sung passionately, a smirk that was directed to me. He strummed his guitar gently but trying not to lose the rhythm, I was finding hard to understand how he could play and sing at the same time… I could barely chew gum while I walk without choking but I guess it was different, I decided to focus on the song.
He would never talk,
But he was not shy
She was a street-smart girl,
But she could not lie
They were perfect for each other
Say it now
'Cause in your heart it's loud
Oh no, my feelings are more important than yours
Oh, drop dead, I don't care, I won't worry
Hey!
Sweetheart, your feelings are more important of course
Of course
Everyone that wanted
Everything that we would take from them
I don't wanna know, I don't wanna know
Tell me, tell me, tell me, tell me
No, don't.
Okay
He would never talk,
But he was not shy
She was a street-smart girl,
But she could not lie
They were perfect for each other
Say it now
'Cause in your heart it's loud
Oh no, my feelings are more important than yours
Oh, drop dead, I don't care, I won't worry
Hey!
Sweetheart, your feelings are more important of course
Of course
Everyone that wanted
Everything that we would take from them
I don't wanna know, I don't wanna know
Tell me, tell me, tell me, tell me
No, don't.
Okay
“That's all for tonight, good evening.” Inuyasha said and as everyone cheered clapping, he got off stage and walked next to me. “Hi,”
“Hi,” I answered back unsure of what I should say. “Great show.”
“Thanks, do you want to take some air?” he asked and I nodded, he gently grabbed my hand and pulled me outside the bar.
The night was bright and clear, stars decorated the clean sky above us as we sat on the sidewalk. Inuyasha stared the sky; I looked at him as I waited for him to say something… anything. Things seemed to stay quiet for a long time, so I decided to take start the conversation.
“How was your date with my sister?” I'm not in the mood for games and I'm not going to pretend like it didn't happen.
“Fine, I guess… she took me to a boring movie and then she just left because she said she wasn't feeling well.” He sighed heavily; I took it as a good sign. “Kikyo is very nice, she's a pretty girl and…”
I didn't want to hear it, I stood up but I immediately felt his hand around my arm.
“Inuyasha, I'm aware of how perfect my sister is… I really don't need any reminder.” He half smiled and shook his head.
“You didn't let me finish… she's nice and very pretty but… she's no you.” I felt my heart skip a beat and my baby kicked hard inside, very hard this time. “Are you okay?”
“Yes, I'm sorry.” I said as I gently rubbed my stomach. “There's something I have to tell you Inuyasha and it's going to be very hard to understand,”
“You can tell me anything,” I sighed heavily, this would push him away but he deserved to know the truth. “Kagome, what's wrong?”
“I'm preg…” my cell phone started ringing and I sighed heavily, I looked at the screen and gulped hard. “I'm sorry, I have to answer.”
“That's okay,” he said comprehensively.
“Love,” I heard Kouga say and I smiled.
“Kouga, how are you? I haven't heard about you in ages…” I said and looked at Inuyasha from the corner of my eye.
“I'm missing you like crazy, I can't believe I'm so far away from you and not even a phone call can calm my anxiousness… I have to see you; I'm literally dying to see you.” I heard him talk with difficulty and the hiss he dragged from his words.
“You're drunk,” I concluded and heard him laugh.
“Okay, I had a few drinks… Kagome, I love you.” He said and I smiled. “I need to hear you say it, please… I really need it.”
“I love you too.” Inuyasha's head perked in my direction. “Kouga, I have to go… I'll call you tomorrow, I promise.”
“I love you so much Kagome, have a good night… dream about me.” I heard the dial tone after that and sighed.
“Your boyfriend?” Inuyasha asked and I stared at him, because I had no idea of how to answer that question.
“An old friend,” I decided and he snorted.
“I don't call my old friends `love'.” He said and I felt my heart sink.
“You heard that?” I asked dumbly and he rolled his eyes.
“I better go now… I'm an idiot,”
Inuyasha walked away and I wanted to desperately follow him but then Sango came out, she was half running and pushed me towards her car.
“What?” I asked annoyed and she pushed me inside.
“Your mother called and she said that if you aren't back home in less than an hour, she's calling the police.” I sighed heavily.
“Let's get going.”
A/N: I would have updated last week but my internet wasn't working properly. I'll try to update as often as possible, I swear I'm doing my best.
The song is obviously Razorblade by The Strokes.
And Kagome loves that song as much as I love reviews LOL =)
