Chapter Fourteen

~~ With carefully whispered words he planted the seed...“I love you,” ~~

 

The glower on InuYasha's face did little to deter the healer and guards from staring at him, their eyes wide in started realisation as they took in his human form, his long black hair. His darkened flesh and near black eyes that narrowed threateningly as he leaned back against the tree behind him in a very Sesshoumaru like manner.

The ring of her timer turned Kagomes' attention from the love of her life and to the food he adored “InuYasha, here have some ramen,” she said handing him the Styrofoam cup, her eyes gazing lovingly at the man-child.

“My lord InuYasha,” one of the three guards whispered, his wine red eyes wide and taking up most of his near boyish face, his skin a dull brownish cream, his long hair coarse and a black brown in colour, “Has this always happened? You turning human?” he asked.

“Wain, don't you know that half demons turn human once a month?” Koneko said and Cratus nodded, when the bat demon looked to him for conformation.

“Yes, Wain, though I have never witnessed it myself, the new moon must be our young Lords night of weakness.”

“Pff, old news, healer,” InuYasha snapped playing with his noodles as Miroku watched him with warm eyes, he knew that InuYasha cared about nothing else but finding and getting his brother and mate back. Kagome watched with a frown and a pout on her lips. Sango situated between her two human friends though she stared into the fire, her face thoughtful as she absently stroked her pet demon.

“Hay InuYasha, if your not going to eat that can I?” Shippo asked looking up at his adoptive father and to his and everyone's surprise the half-breed just handed him the cup without a word, crossing his arms as he looked up at the sky.

`Where are you big brother? Why haven't you come back?' he asked as he watched a star shoot across the night sky in a blazing trail of light. It had nearly been a month since he had last seen his big brother, since his brother had ran from him crying as his words burned threw his mind.

“I wonder…how long it will take…for our pup…to hate me.”

“No, no more lies,”

“You don't want me! Father never wanted me! My mother hated me!”

“You…you made me believe, for just a moment that I wasn't just a useful drone!”

`I love you big brother…return to me please!' his soul, his mind, his heart screamed and he wished his brother could hear it. Hear him and return to him and stay by his side…forever.

“Naraku, give it back!” Sesshoumaru shouted glaring over at his new partner, the one who truly loved him, who wanted him, unlike those he had wanted to love him. Golden eyes narrowed, their icy covering sharpening them and Naraku smirked as he put the bone behind his back. The demon lord had become very fickle and had also taken a liking of gnawing on the gristle on the end of bones.

“Sesshoumaru,” he warned when the dog demon took a step towards him and growled low in his throat. Sighing Sesshoumaru turned his back on his dominant mate and glared at the far wall, though it was harder than it sounded to do so. His stomach was distended and his back ached and his teeth hurt, the gristle on the bones helping to relieve the ache and the near constant cravings where driving him insane.

“Sesshoumaru,” Naraku said sliding up behind the pouting pup, “I have found a way to free you of your brothers mark, my love, I have found a way for us to be together.”

“Hmm?” Sesshoumaru turned the tiniest of frown, his eyes guarded even as his mind and soul screamed that he should never remove his mating mark.

`I belong to InuYasha! I…I Love him!' he screamed inside his own mind as his heart ached in protest `But…but InuYasha, he loves his priestess, Kagome and he…he hates me.' He thought and Naraku spoke his voice soft and full of love, “It will have to wait until after our pups birth of cause, the spell could harm the baby and we don't want that now do we love?”

“No, this Sesshoumaru does not want harm on his pup,” Sesshoumaru murmured leaning back into the curve of Narakus' body, curling up in on his self though his protruding belly stopped him from curling up as he wished. Discontent and upset Sesshoumaru made a small, despondent sound that made Naraku frown.

“What is it my love?” he asked and Sesshoumaru twisted burying his face in the crook of the half-breeds throat, whimpering.

“I cannot be of help if you do not tell me the problem,” Naraku said as he thought `Stupid mutt, probably going to sook about being uncomfortable or his back hurting again. Who would have thought the daiyokia, The great and powerful Sesshoumaru was such a whinny sook.'

`I wanna go home,' Sesshoumaru whispered in his mind, thinking of Rin and Cratus, of his baby brother and his gardens and bedroom and the comfort of his fathers office, for no matter the way he had been treated by his sire he loved the older, now dead dog.

“Hold me…please, just hold me,” he whispered and Naraku bit back a sigh as he encased the demonic lord in his arms, careful of the other mans stomach, for it held something he wanted. The young would be his pawn, a child of two of the most powerful beings on this plain in his hands, under his control would be an invaluable tool. Yes, the baby would help him rule the entire world and in the weakness that came after giving birth to Naraku's pawn Sesshoumaru would be absorbed into him, giving him even more power.

Oh yes and the poor, poor pathetic puppy had no idea of the fate in store for him.

Kagura sighed and looked across the hall at the demon lord that sat by her `fathers' side, his soul clawed hand gingerly picking up another slice of seasoned, raw meat that was piled high on his plate.

Kanna at her side she looked down at her younger sibling and let her eyes show her pity and sorrow of the fact the once the lords child was born Naraku was not only going to absorb him but miss treat the infant as well. She could only hope that InuYasha would soon show and take the lord away, saving his mate and young from the lies Naraku spouted and ensnared the lord with.

`I never took you for a fool Sesshoumaru. How is it that Naraku could lie and tell you thing you believe when, when you are told them in truth you believe them to be lies and flee in tears?' she wondered. Her crimson gaze shifted over to the pregnant demon that was looking up at Naraku with a small, tender smile on his lips.

“Don't worry my love, we will see to it that you and the child are well and safe, InuYasha will not be harmed by the spell, it will only free you, allow you to be with me,” Naraku said.

`Oh wait…he lies so well.'

“InuYasha!” Kagome cried as the large demon crashed down near her, its corpse flopping bonelessly as blood splattered her and half the guard.

“Were you trying to kill me!” she shrieked as eyes turned to her and InuYasha sighed, `gods she is so tiering,' he thought as she continued to shriek at him. Turning away he blinked slowly and bit back a curse as she screamed “Sit Boy” and everyone blinked as he plummeted to the ground. The crater the appeared beneath him cracked and Cratus glared at the girl.

“My Lord InuYasha!” Koneko shouted rushing down to the young lord as Kagome glared down at the pair.

“How dare you! Don't just walk away like that you selfish jerk!” she screamed at him and Cratus watched as Koneko rolled InuYasha over the scent of tears hitting his, Shippo, Wain and Yamazura, the eldest of the guards, noses.

“Kagome that was uncalled for,” Cratus scolded and she turned to glare at him, pointing down at the silently crying half-demon, “He was going to just walk away after nearly splattering me! He should have apologised!” she snapped.

“No, Kagome it is you who is in the wrong,” the demigod said his voice low and controlled, “You will remove what ever enchantment you have placed on Lord InuYasha and you will do it at once.”

“No…”
