Kagome got lost in the music while she walked on the busy street in Tokyo, Japan. It had been 7 years since she last been here, since she was ten. She couldn't handle the smell of the gas or the sound of the cars, her ears being so sensitive. Her parent's decided, for her sake, to move to the country where there were little cars and gas. She missed her friends terribly, but she soon got over it.

 

“I' waiting for the World to fall

I'm waiting for the sea to change

I'm waiting where the corners call

I'm waiting to let my world come undone”

 

She wondered what her friends would think of her now. She had joined a rock band while in the country, which still dazzled her parents how she hadn't gone deaf. She let her hair grow out, which was now at her lower back, and put blue highlights in it, which pleased her boyfriend, Hojou. She smiled at the thought of him.

 

“I close my eyes and try to see

The world unbroken underneath

The farther off and already

It just might make the life I lead

A little more than make believe

When all my skies are painted blue

And all the clouds don't ever change

The shape of who I am to you”

 

She sung softly but loud enough for people who passed close enough to hear. Looking up, she saw the skyscrapers and municipal buildings she had missed so much. She stopped in front of a large apartment building and looked at the door. She felt nervous, not only because she was wearing a dress shirt and makeup, but because she was going to see her godfather and mother for the first time since she moved. Taking a deep breath, she walked up to the front door, which a man opened for her. She smiled at him and walked through. At the front desk, she asked for Taisho residence.

 

“And your name, Miss?” asked the lady.

 

“Higurashi” Kagome replied, swallowing nervously.

”One minute, please.” Said the lady. She picked up the phone on the desk and dialed some numbers. Kagome breathed deeply and mouthed the next verse.

 

“And I'm waiting for the World to fall

I'm waiting for the sea to change

I'm waiting where the corners call

I'm waiting to let my world come undone

 

When I catch the light of falling stars my view is changing me

My view is changing…”

 

“Down the hallway and to the left, Ma'am” said the woman. Kagome smiled and thanked her. The song ended before she got to the elevator, leaving her without music. She sighed as she reached the elevator and stepped in.

 

“Where to, Ma'am?” asked the man. She smiled nervously at her shoes.

 

“Takahashi residence, please.” She almost whispered. He nodded at her and pressed the button that led to the floor of family's penthouse.

Kagome stood there uncomfortably, feeling the mans eyes roam her body. She inwardly groaned and began to finger the jewel she received from her grandfather, the Shikon No Tamma. She felt his eyes wander over her breast and her crotch. She let out snort that caused the man to jump. Smirking, she looked at him.

 

“Like what you see, sir?” she asked in the sweetest voice she could manage. He stared at her. Her smirk grew wider as she stretched, showing a fair amount of skin. She opened one eye to see him staring at her stomach, his eyes wide. She smiled at him and walked over close enough to let her chest rub his. She smiled at him and whispered. “You want to touch, sir?” she whispered to him. He looked at her with wide eyes and nodded. Her smirk grew as she leaned in and shouted “Get another bitch, JiJii! I'm no whore!” after she said that, she smacked him. He stared at her leaving back as she exited the elevator when it stopped. Looking back, she smiled brightly and waved “Bye, sir!” she said. He quickly closed the door and she heard the elevator leave. She laughed at what she did to the poor man. The door in front of her with a bang and she was enveloped in a huge hug. She stared at the people in the door as the person hugged her tighter and tighter. The tallest man was smiling at her, showing a fang. The next man was about as tall, a small smile on his lips, accenting the moon and purple striped that marred both men's faces. She felt her back pop and she let out a gasp. The person let her go and stepped back, but kept her hands on Kagome's shoulders.

 

“I haven't seen you in so long, Kagome! I missed you so!” she cried with a smile playing on her lips.

 

“Aunt Izzy?” she asked the woman. The woman smiled broadly and nodded viciously. “Auntie!” Kagome threw her arms around the older woman and hugged her. “I missed you too, Auntie!” she said to her. The tallest man stepped out of the door and opened his arms.

 

“Don't I get a hug?” he asked Kagome playfully. She let go of Izzy and ran towards the man. She latched on to him, laughing as he lifted her up with a grunt and twirled her around. He hugged her close and kissed the top of her head. “Missed you, Kags” he said using her preferred name.

 

“Uncle Tai!” she squealed. He laughed and looked at his wife, smiling.

 

“I think she really missed us.” He said the laughter in his voice. Kagome smacked his arm lightly and hugged him.

 

“Of course I missed you guys!” she said. All of them laughed, including the man still in the doorway. She looked at him and let go of Tai to run to him. He picked her up and twirled her into the penthouse. Tai and Izzy followed, smiling at the two.

 

“Welcome back, princess.” He told her as he kissed her brow. She giggled.

 

“Oh, I missed you guys so much!” she said while looking at them. Her smile turned into a frown as the man set her down. “Where's Inu?” she asked them. The man smirked at her.

 

“He's upstairs sleeping. Why don't you go wake him up?” he suggested. She looked at him and grinned evilly.

 

“Good idea Sesshy” she told him. She looked at Tai and Izzy, who smiled at her from the kitchen. She looked at Sesshomaru and grinned. She turned and bounded up the stairs that led to the bedrooms. Her ears flipped this way and that searching for any sound as she sniffed the air. She grinned and walked to the door at the end of the hall and opened it softly. Looking around, she smiled when she saw the bed that held a shirtless hanyou. She tip-toed over to the large bed and climbed on. She giggled as she watched his ears flip in her direction, as if hearing her coming. `Probably did' she thought to herself. She crawled over and lifted his extended arm and lay down, placing it above her chest. He growled lowly and moved to where he was halfway on top of her. She stifled a laugh at his action which turned into a moan as he growled again. His ears flipped toward her and he put his nose in the crook of her neck, inhaling deeply.

 

“When did you get here?” came his muffled voice. She giggled and played with a lock of his hair.

 

“Ten minutes ago.” She told him. His chest rumbled, making Kagome groan again. He chuckled and liked her neck, causing her to inhale sharply.

 

“I was beginning to wonder what happened to my favorite hanyou.” She laughed and rolled him over to straddle him. He looked at her with weary eyes and a small smile on his lips. She grinned down at him as she pushed his bangs away from his eyes, showing her his golden orbs. His hands came up to her thighs and stroked them. “You've grown.” He stated. She smiled wider and rubbed his bare chest. A hand came up and tugged at her hair. “It's longer, and…” he looked at the hair and raised an eyebrow. “Blue?” she giggled at him and leaned in so her face was about an inch from his.

 

“Red, if you want it to be.” She whispered to him, her stormy blue depths swimming with laughter, He growled at her.

 

“Your bold bitch.” He told her. Abruptly, he flipped her over causing her to squeak in surprise. His face was closer than her was to his. “But I'm bolder.” His lips crashed on to hers and he forced his tongue into her mouth. She melted beneath him, and arched into him. He grinned as he tried to plunge his tongue into her throat. As soon as it started, the kiss was over. Kagome's eyes were wide and haze.

 

“So much for a rude awakening bitch.” He growled at her as he pulled the covers over them. He rolled onto his side and grabbed her waist, forcing against his. “Sleep” he told her.

 

“So bossy.” She said as she cuddled against him.

 

“You know it.” He told her as they drifted off into sleep.
