Chapter 2

 

“100 dollars she has sort hair, wears skirts, and acts civilized.” offered up Rin.

 

“150 dollars she's a pervert with long hair and wears skimpy dresses.” opted Miroku. SMACK

 

“1000 dollars from all of you if she has long blue hair, wears jeans and t-shirts and played in a band.” said InuYasha

 

The guys of Hells Devils and the girls from Shikon Jewel sat around taking bets on what their childhood friend now looked like. Sesshomaru and Hiten didn't participate, one; Sesshomaru didn't do bets. Two; Hiten didn't know Kagome. Sesshomaru smirked at his little brother. Not only did he see him mess with Kagome, but while she slept he got a good feel of her. He remembered the resounding smack that came, plus the arousal that came from both of them. Taking a drag from his cigarette, he rubbed Rin's thigh as she sat on his lap, giving him a good wave of her spiked scent. All the others turned to look at the two, but only the ones with demon blood laughed, making heat go to Rin's face.

 

“So,” Sango started. “Where's Kikyou, Inu?” she asked Inu, who in turn smirked at her.

 

“Out.” he stated. Everyone lifted an eyebrow.

 

“Out?” asked Miroku.

 

“Out.”

 

“But ain't she your girl, Yash?” asked the wolf demon, Koga. InuYasha narrowed his eyes at him. He opened his mouth to speak, bet some spoke before he could get a word out.

 

“Who's his girl?” came a voice from behind them. Sango and Rin squealed and ran over to her, crushing her in a hug. She laughed at them and returned the hug. The guys sat smiling at them and laughed when Rin and Sango started asking her several questions at once, distressing her.

 

“Best go save sister then.” said Sesshomaru over the loudness of the squeals and clatter around the diner. Koga stood up promptly and walked over grabbing Kagome's hands in his, immediately silencing the girls, who wore curious faces.

 

“How I missed thee, Kagome.” Koga murmured as he stroked her cheek. She smiled friendly at Koga, sweat dropping. Sango and Rin looked at each other, then at the others to see the guys staring at InuYasha, who was gripping the glass so hard it might… CRASH

Kagome gasped and pulled away from Koga, running to InuYasha, who was staring at his hand.

 

“Baka no dessu.” she scolded him. He smirked back at the others as Kagome inspected his hand, promptly licking it. Everyone except Koga started to howl with laughter. Hiten stood when Kagome was done and offered her his hand.

 

“Hiten Ishigami, and you must be Kagome Higurashi.” Kagome smiled at him and took his hand.

 

“Nice to finally meet you Hiten. Sango and Rin told me so much of you.” His faced pinked as every one took their seats, Kagome in InuYasha's lap. He hooked an arm around her waist as he looked at every one, holding out his unharmed hand expectantly. Miroku sighed. Kagome raised an eyebrow.

 

“ I missin' something here?” she asked. Sesshomaru gave a rare laugh, causing Rin jump in surprise.

 

“They betted what you looked like, Sister. Inu won.” he continued to laugh as everyone gave up 1000 each to Inuyasha.

 

“Okay. So, who's Inu's girl?” she asked looking around.

 

“Kikyou Katanami.” said Sango and Rin idly.

 

“She's the head of the Dance team.” said Koga

 

“She's also the queen of the school.” said Hiten

 

“She also has a great pair of legs.” SMACK “OW!”

 

“And InuYasha's current object of interest.” said the girls with a laugh. Kagome felt InuYasha growl on her back and she returned it with a sharper growl.

 

“O, what's got you mad Kagome?” asked Sesshomauru.

 

“Do you like InuYasha that much?” Miroku got hit in the head by both Sango and Kagome.

It wasn't just that Kagome liked him, she just hated Kikyou. Kikyou was her 3rd cousin, once removed. It still made Kagome's blood boil.

 

Over the next hour or so they all got reacquainted, Kagome joined the Shikon Jewel's with a blood oath, an they were soon walking around the Shops idly.

 

Kagome was laughing when she stopped and stared at the man standing a couple of shops down. Inuyasha stopped and looked at her, growling softly.

 

“Kagome?” the man asked. Everyone looked at the man and Kagome.

 

“Houjou?”
