That night, there was a celebration of Kagome and InuYasha's engagement. They decided to go back to Kagome's home to start planning and tell her family face to face. She knew that they would be very excited, for Kagome has finally found someone that loved her for her.

 

After a long night of partying, everyone went to bed. InuYasha went to his while Kagome went to hers.

 

Kagome lied on her bed and stared at the ceiling. `I can't believe it. I am engaged. I never thought this would happened,' she thought as she started to play with her ring. Then she smiled. Kagome squealed and started to roll on her bed side to side.

 

It was morning and Kagome was dressed in a light blue summer dress with a white sweater. She entered the living room with a big grin on her face. She saw InuYasha standing outside. The morning sun shone on his face with his midnight, silver streaked hair flying softly in the soft breeze.

 

`I am so lucky to have a man like him,' she thought as she started walking outside. She opened the door and stepped out. The woman was met with a good morning kiss.

 

“Ready to tell your mom?” asked InuYasha.

 

“Yeah, but where is everyone else?” Kagome inquired.

 

“They left already,” InuYasha answered.

 

Kagome made an Oh with her mouth.

 

“Ready to go?”

 

“Yeah, let's go.”

 

They went to his car. He opened her side of the door and when she was in, he closed the door and went to his. He started the car and they were on their way to Kagome's home.

Kagome opened the door. Her mother was standing at the doorway with a huge grin on her face.

 

“My baby is getting married!” she squealed as she squeezed her daughter in a tight hug.

 

During their summer vacation, when no one was around, InuYasha called Kagome's mom if he could marry her. Ms. Higurashi replied with a fast yes. She had seen how InuYasha was dedicated to Kagome and she had seen how the two were before they left.

 

“How did you know?” asked Kagome.

 

“InuYasha called me while you were at the condo. I knew you would say yes, it is a mother's instinct,” she said, “Well, let's get the wedding prepared!”

 

“Well, mom, let me relax for awhile, please?”

 

Her mother nodded.

 

Kagome and InuYasha went to her room. When they arrived and opened the door, the walls were clear of posters. The day after she came home from the hospital, InuYasha confronted her about them and Kagome told him why they were up.

 

“It's just that I wish I had their bodies, they are so perfect,” she admitted.

 

“But Kagome, you do have a perfect body in my eyes,” InuYasha told her.

 

After that, they were down.

 

Kagome lied on her bed with InuYasha by her side. They held each other until they fell asleep.

It took them seven months to put the wedding together. Kagome chose Sango as her maid of honor and InuYasha chose Miroku as his best man. They set the wedding at a lake that had a jade meadow with wildflowers.

 

Kagome picked a dress that was opal colored. It was sleeveless, but it did have a collar that went around her neck. She wore gloves that were the same color and it went up to her elbows. She wore white sandals and she had an anklet on her left ankle. For jewelry she wore white gold earrings and a diamond drop necklace.

 

“You looked stunning Kagome,” said Sango and she hugged her.

 

“Are you ready?” asked Rin. Kagome nodded her head.

 

“Well then, let's go,” grinned Souten.

 

Sango, Souten, Ayami, and Rin went ahead of her. When they appeared the music started. Sango went first with Miroku, next was Rin with Sesshomaru, after them was Souten with Shippo, and finally Ayami with Koga.

 

But the music went louder when Kagome emerged. Everyone stood up as they saw her walking down the aisle. InuYasha's jaw dropped when he saw her dress. She looked like an angel from the kamis.

 

Kagome saw that InuYasha was wearing a black tux with a silver vest. He wore a violet tie. His long hair was pulled back in a low ponytail. She smiled. This man is going to be finally hers.

 

The music ended when she was next to InuYasha. They looked at each other and held hands. They could tell they were both a little nervous.

 

The man started to talk about love, faithfulness and honesty. They went on to their vows and the rings. Then it was time to kiss each other.

 

They faced the crowd and went to the limo. They decided not to have a reception since they had one last night.

 

InuYasha and Kagome entered the limo and saw that there was an envelope. InuYasha picked it up and opened it. It read:

 

“Kagome and InuYasha, you both are finally together! We are so glad that you are. In this envelope are two tickets to Hawaii that all of us put in. It will be a long flight, but we think it will be worth it. Have fun! Sincerely, friends.”

 

 

A/N: I didn't think I had to make the wedding long since everyone knows how a wedding goes. ::shrugs:: The next chapter will be an epilogue and then on to the one-shot!
