Disclaimer: Would Rumiko Takahashi really post a fanfic? So duh anyone who posts a story here doesn't own Inuyasha. I just had to point that out, sorry. That and the fact that I OWN FLUFFY INUYASHA EARS!!!!

Chapter 4: His Return

Inuyasha opened his eyes slowly and saw the one thing he wanted most in the world; Kagome lying next to him, smiling in her sleep.

`Mine, she's finally mine. She's just so beautiful when she sleeps. Actually, she's beautiful all the time. I don't think I've ever told her how beautiful she is, that's the first thing I'll do when she wakes up.'

Inuyasha smiled and slowly untangled himself from her and crept outside. Looking around he leapt into a tree and began jumping around happily to relieve himself of all the energy he had stored up, having not been in any fights for a few days.

Kagome whimpered lightly in her sleep, having lost her source of warmth. She lazily opened her eyes and immediately bolted upright with panic.

`Where is he? It couldn't have all been a dream, could it? No, I refuse to believe that. I have to find him!'

With that thought, Kagome ran out the front door in search of Inuyasha. She wasn't watching where she was going, and it was no surprise that when she rounded the corner she ran straight into someone.

Apologizing profusely, Kagome kept her eyes on her feet, too embarrassed to look up.

"Well hello there, long time no see, missy," said an icy cold voice. Kagome's eyes widened as she recognized the voice, and she very slowly looked up at the owner of the voice.

`No...No, it can't be. Oh shit...it is, it's him.'

With this realization, she started backing away and soon had turned around and was sprinting away at full speed. She could hear him calling after her, and knew by the uneven breath behind her that he was getting closer.

Kagome turned sharply down the next corner she saw, only to find herself face to face with a wall. It was a dead end. She turned around quickly, hoping to have time to dart back out, but she found herself staring straight into the eyes of that terrible man.

Inuyasha continued jumping through trees at top speed, relieving his body of all its pent-up energy. As he rounded a corner, he stopped when he smelt something that made him thirst for blood.

The same harsh and musky scent that he had smelled on Kagome. Smirking to himself, he began to follow the scent, intent on killing the man who dared to harm his Kagome.

After a short while, Inuyasha stopped dead in his tracks. As he sniffed the air, his eyes widened with shock and fear.

`No, Kagome, why is she out here? Why is her scent mingled with this man's? Her scent…it's tainted with fear!' Inuyasha thought nervously as he raced off, even faster than before. As he followed the scents he could hear small, muffled screams.

His heart pounded faster as he rounded the last corner and found them.

The man had tied a piece of cloth around the bottom of her head and through her mouth, and she was struggling to scream through it. He had her wrists pinned above her head with his left hand, and his right hand was unzipping her skirt.

On the ground already were Kagome's shirt and bra, as well as the man's shirt. Kagome's eyes were clenched tightly shut as he removed the last piece of her clothing, throwing down her underwear along with the skirt.

`Inuyasha…where is he…I need you, Inuyasha!' Kagome thought anxiously.

Inuyasha felt himself being controlled by his rage, and he let out an angry yell.

`Inuyasha! He came for me!' Kagome sighed with relief inside.

Startled, the man turned his head and stared at Inuyasha. After a small stare down, with Inuyasha growling possessively the whole time, the man smirked.

"Oi! Guys! C'mere for a sec!" The man shouted. Inuyasha turned around quickly as he smelled 6 new men arrive. As they lunged for him, he jumped over their heads and prepared to fight them.

He mentally slapped himself for having left Tetsusaiga at Kagome's house, so he could run faster. His eyes widened slightly with curiosity as the 6 men each pulled out a weapon from her time.

4 of them held guns, and the other 2 held pocketknives.

Back in the small alleyway, the man had unzipped his own pants and released his erection. Pulling Kagome's legs apart, he entered her once more.

Thrusting roughly into her petite body, Kagome managed to push the fabric out of her mouth and screamed as loud as she could. Inuyasha's head snapped upwards and his golden eyes slowly turned red as he saw Kagome, his Kagome, being used by another man.

When the man reached up, calmly and deliberately, and slapped Kagome roughly across the face as a punishment for her scream, Inuyasha's demon blood took over.

As he plowed through the 6 men, he focused hard on Kagome's scream. Continuously reminding himself mentally that he was changing to help Kagome, he knocked out the 6 men and headed for Kagome.

`I'm doing this for Kagome…I have to make sure I remember Kagome, so I can make sure that my demon blood won't harm her. This is all for Kagome…' Inuyasha repeated over and over in his mind.

Inuyasha stopped in his tracks as he heard an unfamiliar sound from behind him. (A/N: the gun shot) Turning around swiftly, he glimpsed one of them men pointing a silvery metal thing at him before the world went black as he fell unconscious.

Inuyasha had been shot.
