Seven

“Finish up your food. We need to continue looking for jewel shards.” Inuyasha grumbles, after hitting the filthy-minded monk on the head.

 

“Jewel shards?” I ask. They all look at me. “You mean Shikon shards?” I say, pulling a little jar with about eleven jewel shards in it. They all gape at me.

 

“How come they haven't affected you the way they do to Inuyasha?” Sango asks.

 

“I'm part Miko. These shards have been purified.”

 

Miroku whispers something to Inuyasha that even my extra-sensitive can't even pick up. Inuyasha gasps and “Kikyo,” slips from his mouth.

 

I turn to Shippo and Sango, who have both also heard this little outcry from Inuyasha.

 

“Who's Kikyo?” I ask them quietly.

 

They both look a bit unsure and Sango eventually replies. “Um, it's not important. I'm sure Inuyasha will tell you about her.” She makes her voice slightly louder. “Come on! We have Shikon shards to find!”

 

Strange………..

 

I, along with everyone else, decide to ignore the whole `Kikyo' thing, at least, I am. For now, anyway. We set off looking for jewel shards.

 

After about half an hour or so, I freeze. Everyone turns to me. “What's going on?” Inuyasha asks, at my side in an instant.

 

“Jewel shard. Correction, three shards. Coming in that direction,” I point to my left, “straight towards us. And they're fast approaching.”

 

We stand where we are as the jewels get closer until a mini tornado-type thing appears in the clearing. It stops in front of me.

 

I groan when I see who it is.

 

Kouga…

Hi. I'm not entirely sure I like this chapter either but meh! What can you do?

I thought I would write this before I go back to school.

Since I am going to be back at school, I won't be able to update as often. That, plus I have exams in less than a month! *freaks out*
