chapter seven: rehearsal

 

 

 

`I wonder if Inuyasha will come get me.'Kagome's mind wondered off as she was taking notes.Or at least trying to.Kagome was trying to pay attention to what the teacher was saying and copy the formulas from the chalk board.She couldn't help but to think about Inuyasha and the others.Mostly about Inuyasha though.`Well, since Inuyasha let me go,wait, he acually told me to go.Should I wait for Inuyasha to come or should I go back on my own?I didn't sit Inuyasha, not even once.I'll go, without Inuyasha coming to get me.I should I be taking notes.If only I had any idea as to what all those formulas mean....'

 

 

”Kagome do you know the answer?” The teacher asked.The teacher was a young women, with her black hair tied in a high ponytail.The glasses she wore hid her eyes from view.

 

Kagome had no idea what all those symbols and formulas meant, let alone an answer to the question.”....” Kagome's face turned a shade somewhere in between pink and red. ”Pay attention Kagome.” The teacher scolded.Kagome felt embarrassed, to say the least.After she got over the embarrassment, Kagome went back to writing notes until class was over.

 

 

Students rushed out of the class.Kagome met up with Ayumi,Eri, and Yuka.”Kagome, are you coming to rehearsals after classes today?” Eri asked Kagome. ”Rehearsals start today?”Kagome asked.”Yeah.””Where do I get my lines?”Kagome wondered.”Nobody gets thier lines yet, we'll get them at rehearsals today.”Ayumi explained.”Do you have roles in the play?”Kagome asked them.”We all do.”Eri said.”But, we have minor roles.” Yuka added.

 

”Shouldn't we be getting to our next class?”Ayumi said. ”Bye Eri, bye Yuka, see you later.”Kagome said while walking with Ayumi to her next class.”Later.”Eri and Yuka said, while heading to thier class.”Bye.”Ayumi said.Kagome and Ayumi had thier next class together, Eri and Yuka shared a different class.

”Kagome.” Eri,Yuka and Ayumi ran to catch up with Kagome.”Hey.””Are you going to rehearsals?”Yuka asked.”Yes.”She answered.The four of them walked to the auditorium where rehearsals were held.

 

 

They entered the auditorium.There were hundreds of empty seats.There were about a dozen students on stage, still in thier school uniforms.A girl with long brown hair,also in her school uniform, was handing out papers to everyone.They walked up onto the stage, behind the girl.”Hello, I'm Kagome, I'd like to get my script please.”The girl turned around.She had mudd brown eyes.”You're playing the lead female role, right?”The girl asked in an almost fake innocent way.Kagome nodded.The girl pulled out a script from the bottom of the stack in her hand.She handed it to Kagome.

 

 

While Kagome was looking at her lines, the girl walked a few feet away to Kagome's friends.”I gave her the script without the liplock scene in it and I told everyone to keep quite about it around Kagome.You will....”The girl whispered to Kagome's friends.”We will do your math homework.”Eri,Ayumi and Yuka answered at once, follows by three sighs.

 

The girl smirked.”Thank you, I'll be expecting it tomorrow.”She walked off and went back to handing out the script papers.

 

Kagome was looking over her lines.”Okay everyone!”The girl said.She had stopped handing out scripts and stood in the middle of the stage.Kagome lifted her head from her script.”We're about to start rehearsal,anyone have questions?”All the students stared at her, some with confused looks.The girl waited to see if there were questions.There was a deafening silence in the room, now all that was missing was a cricket chirping.

 

”Alright then.Kagome can you come here?”Kagome walked to the center of the stage.”Houjo, come here, next to Kagome.”The girl ordered.Houjo came out from from a group of students and walked to the center of the stage as well, next to Kagome.`I hadn't even noticed Houjo was here.I forgot, he has a role to.'Kagome thought.

 

 

The girl with long,brown hair was the director.She told Kagome and Houjo to do some scenes.After that she told the other students to start memorizing or practicing thier lines.Eri,Yuka and Ayumi made sure to practice only a couple of feet away from Kagome and Houjo, close enough to hear what they were saying.

 

Kagome and Houjo had finished the scene, which was on the page that comes before the kissing scene.At least on Houjo's script it was.Oblivious to Kagome, the scene was taken out of her script.Houjo didn't know about it either.Houjo knew about the kissing scene, he just didn't know what Eri,Ayumi and Yuka were up to.Kagome would have read her friends minds and known about the kissing scene except, her mind reading powers were weaker in her era.Weak enough to turn off.But, the minute she climbed though the well her mind reading powers would return.In the fuedal era, they were stronger.

 

 

Houjo was blushing.`What does Houjo want to say?'”Kagome, the next scene we have to do is the one where we..um....”Houjo blushed even more.

 

Eri noticed Houjo was about to mention the kissing scene.”Houjo is gonna mention the kissing scene!”Eri whispered frantically to Ayumi and Yuka.They were rehearsing thier lines together.”Well do something!”Yuka said.

 

Ayumi went over to Kagome and Houjo.”Exuse me.”She said and stepped in between them. ”Kagome, don't you need to get home?I thought you said you have more homework today than you usually do.”Ayumi said.”You're right!Bye Ayumi!Bye Houjo!”Kagome left the rehearsals to go dashing out of the auditorium and walking home.

 

 

`It was nice of Ayumi to remind me but, there was something sort of odd about it.'Kagome thought as she was walking home.Kagome couldn't shake the feeling that she was being left in the dark about something.

I can't get the next chapter out untill mid September.Hell, I can't even go online.Please, don't hate me.Forces beyond my control are at work.I'll still have my notebook.I'll only have computer+internet access today and tomorrow.And I cant get the next chapter out by tomorrow.I'm surprised I even got this one out.I typed the whole night away, without going to bed, just working on this.Don't worry, I will get the next chapter out.You want to know why I named this fanfic `My Will'?I love the anime Inuyasha first ending song and video.Watch it if ya want.
