Shikon no what?

Two days had passed since the world had become this that was around me now. Most would think I would be incredibly homesick but I wasn't. I felt more at home now than I ever had been before.

Me and Inu, as everyone now including me called him, hadn't talked about what had happened and it seemed that he wasn't ever around. Unless there was food then he was right there.

There was something about that guy that drove me crazy, that made me want more of his love. Something that made me long to be in his fire once more to fell those feather light kisses on my body again. I'd do anything for that I thought, anything.

I was headed for the forest that was named after that man, InuYasha. that was a strange name but around her it was quite common sounding although I never had met anyone in the village that processed it. Come to think of it, to these people my name must sound pretty weird...I was close to a tree called the gods tree it was taller than all the trees in the forest and the must lovely as well. there he was, in the tree, like I had found him once before sitting in a high up branch, watching the world pass him by.

I hated to bring him away from his trance but it had to be done. "Inu?" He looked down as if he had know I was there the enter time.

"yes?" He jumped down beside me and then sat at the base of the majestic tree and motioned for me to take a seat next to him.

"Well I was wondering if...maybe we could talk about you know?"

"that? Oh yea I guess we should I have been avoiding the subject." I shook my head and I leaned back against the tree so I could see the clouds threw it's branches.

"I was wondering if we could..." that's all I got out, what I wanted to say was something that couldn't be said by women in this place which I had learned from Keade yesterday when I asked her how to approach the situation.

"Do what." I think that he really didn't know what I was going to say. I couldn't keep going...something inside said not to. A few moments of silence passed before he talk. "I think I know what you want and the truth is I want it to...if you know what I mean..." He moved close to me and kissed my lips for the first time since the cave. I didn't stop this show of affection, I let it happen until he moved back to breath.

"yes that's it..." He smiled, it was hard to believe what Sango had told me about him earlier was true.

~flashback~

"Inu is cold to the bone always has been." Sango said.

"you know he doesn't act cold to me."

"He is a...uncaring stupid dogface, who never liked anyone. You know he lived here with us until he was 12 then he moved out because he said he didn't like us."

"He can't be that bad."

"Sure is since I met him he's always been a little bastard against the world."

"maybe he just needs a friend?"

"no he needs a good old kick in the ass and let me tell you about Miroku I've known him since he was 5 and he's always been a good for nothing pervert who thrives by touching girls butts..." the conversation would have gone on but a certain Monk was behind her focusing his power on graving her butt and laughing.

*slap*

~end of flashback~

Author point of view

He couldn't be that cold like Sango had said he seemed so loving to me. Matter of fact why was he so loving to me. We had only know each other 2 1/2 days...and yet here we were kissing like an old married couple.

Slowly I was being pressed farther against the tree as he pushed me down to the ground. It all felt so right, like I had known him his entire life and we had been falling in love for years.

He backed away slowly nibbling my lip as he did, until he let go smiling at me. "What is it about you?" He said looking into my eyes. "that makes me..." he never finished.

"Inu were are you?" Shippo that's the only person in the world that had this kind of timing in him. Inu moved off of me and sat up to see a little kitsue as I had been told he was walk into the clearing to greet us. "Inu Keade says it's time for lunch!!!!" Good I thought he would have figured out what we were doing and if that happened the inter village would know our love life.

"Ok we'll be there in a minute just go and wait at the hut k?"

"K but I'm going to get all the food." He said as he ran off. Inu stood and then bent down to pick me up. I gladly let him carry me back to the hut it was after all quite a long walk. Before we even left the clearing he started to run the way he had on the night we met. My hair was flying like his was in the winds of his flight until it stopped suddenly and there we were at Keade's hut. He sat me down gently so I could walk into the hut by my self as to not attract suspicion.

After we ate I went to leave with Inu to finish our *cough* Conversation *cough* but Keade stopped me.

"I need to talk to you Kagome."

"Yes." I said looking back at her with a smile.

"Do you wish to find the way back to your home?"

"I guess..." the weird thing is that I was lying I really wanted to stay her with Inu and the rest but then again I also wanted to go home for some reason.

"There is a way." I sat down looking at her.

"How?" She looked at me and smiled.

"You must find the legendary Shikon no Toma or jewel of four souls."

"the Shikon no what?" Inu sat next to me, he looked a little upset.

"the Shikon no Toma. It has the power to make Youki stronger and grant humans wishes but many years ago it disappeared and was never heard of again."

"how do you know of such a thing?"

"the keeper of the jewel was my older sister Kikyo. She was killed by it's power when I was 8 that was nearly 70 years ago know."

"how did she lose control?"

"She let it take advantage of her for you see the Shikon no Toma has to be protected by a pure heart but my sister lost her pure heart to a man named Naraku he took her. that made the jewel become corrupt and so it killed her to free itself."

I thought about this for a minute it all seemed so very sad. But when she said Naraku took her what did she mean? "so this Naraku what exactly did he do to her?"

"Well you see Miko's ,which my sister was, are the guarders of such jewels, as that one, since there power is greater. But Miko's are swore never to have sexual relations. When this accurse there hearts lose there power and become corrupt. Well Naraku rapped my sister so that the jewel would become evil, from her corrupt heart."

"So in doing so the jewel became dark?"

"Yes exactly."

"But then what happened to the jewel it just disappeared?"

"Well after the jewel killed my sister it fell into the hands of Naraku. After 1 week of him trying to grasp this power the jewel became angry so to speck and somehow got away from him. It is said that it vanished into the heavens never to be seen by the eyes of man again."

"and what of Naraku?" Inu asked.

"Haven't seen nor heard of him since but I assume he must be out there somewhere looking for it."

"Wait a minute!!!!" I said standing. "Where would we even began to look for this jewel?" No one spoke and I just stood there looking at them wondering.

"There is one way to find out but Inu your not going to like it one little bit."

"What?"
