My sun shine

Things were miserable for me with all the thoughts that I would have to go home...no I never wanted to go home it was just to perfect here...everyone my friends were great to be around...and Inu kept his promises well. He made sure that I was always happy even when the sky's were gray...and even if you think this is a little weird self when I looked at Inu sometimes I remember that old song from America...'you are my sun shine my, only sun shine you make me happy when sky are gray. You'll never know dear how much I love you. So please, don't take my sun shine away.' Yes that song described it our relationship. It's how I felt, Inu was my sun shine yea and there was no one else who could cheer me up like him no one...Inu if only he knew that I couldn't live without him...if only the world knew...I kind of liked not being so naked and alone anymore.

"Kagome?" Everyone was standing around me looking at me as if I were dead. "What's wrong with you?"

"nothing just thinking that's all!" they all looked like they didn't believe me but that's just fine because in a way I was telling the truth.

"come on we got a lot of ground to cover before night fall." Inu said as he began walking again...

It had been about 15 days since I came to this new world and it had been about 15 years in the other one that I had been there...and it seemed to me that in 15 days I had grown to like this place more than the one I had lived in for 15 years...man that was confusing to think about! I had a headache know...damn...

"So how long do you think it will take to get to the village of...which one are we going to first again?" Said Shippo who was on my shoulder.

"were going to the village of Bashily first since it's closer..." Said Inu looking back at me and the kitsue.

"Inu..." Said Miroku.

"Yes?"

"How do you know that locations of all these villages you've never been gone long enough to go to any of them?" Inu smiled.

"Yes I have.."

"How?"

"Well for a human to get some where that takes lets say roughly 9 days like before...well for me it takes 4 if I really wanted to get there fast...I'm a lot faster than you humans are...it cuts the time to get some where a little over half that of your time for me."

"Interesting..."

"Inu you didn't answer my question!!!!" Yelled Shippo.

"What?" said Inu back loudly.

"how long till we get there?"

Inu thoughts about this for a minute then replied. "2 days at most."

"what?!?!?!? I thought that it'd take longer than that why so short?"

"Because that's how long it will take me." with that Inu jumped at least 20 feet in the air and was gone. A smile came to my face.

"INU SIT!!!!!!" A loud crash was heard about 20 30 feet away and a long and loud cursing session took place. As we reached were Inu was I saw a site that kept me smiling for days...There he was biting at the rosary then clawing then he would whimper like a puppy then bit and claw again...then whimper until he notice us standing there. Then he got up dusted himself off walked over to me and stood there looking start into my eyes. He bent down until our noises were touching then he kissed me on the lips and backed away yelling.

"NEVER DO THAT AGAIN BITCH!!!!!!!!" He turned then and walk off.

"wow he called you bitch..." Everyone saw I was red in anger and looked confused.

"How dare he." They looked more confused.

"What's wrong Kagome?" Asked Sango as if she didn't know.

"He called me bitch I don't know about you guys but from were I come form it's a very dirty word very bad...!!!"

"Where we come from being youki's and all." Said Shippo very knowingly like. "It's a good thing."

"What?"

"Yes it means that you are his female dog and he want's to keep you as his mate for life." I was lost no way he wanted to be my mate?...wait a minute what the hell is a mate?

"what's a mate Shippo?" He looked at me as if I were hopeless.

"the person you marry." Said Sango for him. "Youki call it there mate." It hit me then youki were like half animal or something...and animals had mates not husbands or wife's yea it made a lot of since.

"I got to talk to Inu!" I said running ahead to where he was.

"Inu!!! wait up!" He stopped much to my surprise.

"come with me!" He said taking me by the arm and then looking back at everyone added. "And if I catch anyone of you near were we are I'll rip out your organs and feed them to a dog." even I gulped at that statement. He was being serious, very serious. "Let's go."

"Ok" He took me off the path into the forest surrounding us. What ever he was up to it had to be something big extremely big. We went threw the forest in silence until we came across a field of wildflowers. They were all the colors of time, as I had seen it, when I was thrown into this world...or dream...He sat down cross legged and motion for me to join him.

"I'm sorry I didn't know..."

"It's ok but in this place it means something different...that makes it ok." He looked at me with those eyes caring and loving but then there was something else in them...pain... "When you were young did you have a happy life?" Why I asked I didn't know.

"Yes until my mother and father died."

"What happened to them?"

"they were murder...my father for being youki and my mother for giving birth to me son of a youki..." his face was sad, very sad, an emotion that I knew he didn't express often to other's but instead, kept inside much like me.

"That's horrible how could she be killed for having you as a sun?" He looked at me and smiled half-heartedly.

"Your so pure and naive to the word aren't you...I like you that way." I gave him a confused look. "you see Kagome the things you don't know like how much youki are hated gives you a purity like no other." I smiled now understanding what he meant but still wanting my question answered.

"I may not understand the whole situation yet but I know that it wasn't right to murder the innocent especially for such a bitty thing as giving birth to a stubborn son with ears that are so cute!" I poked him in the stomach and he let out a yelp and then laughed. The fire was back in his eyes replacing the sadness. He looked at me and poked back gently.

"What do you think your doing poking me..." He started to tickle me fondly before he moved his body over me and kissed my neck.

"sorry would you prefer to be tickled?" I began to tickle him as the growls from his chest began.

we settled down and he lad there over me his face buried in my neck. "Inu?"

"Yes?" I wanted to ask I had to ask yes I would ask.

"When you called me a bitch I took it as an insult but then..." He moved his body away from me so he could look in my eyes as I said it. "Shippo told me about what it means here and I was wondering if you really wanted me as a mate?"

He looked at me and stared not believing my words I could only assume, then a smile can to his lips. "I do that is if you will have me." I looked at him and giggled.

"I wouldn't have brought it up if I didn't."

"So yes?"

"Yes Inu yes!!!"
